Exclusion group values not exporting to "Merge Data" spreadsheet

Hi everyone,
I've noticed that most of my radio button values do not show up on the spreadsheet (yet some inexplicably do). Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Many thanks for this workaround. I have been searching for a solution for 18 months!! It would be good for Adobe to fix this glitch in the Acrobat X program.
I have also gone one step further and named the exclusion group with codes to identify what the values refer to. (eg. The name of one exclusion group with three options is SSPtype-edbd1-intell2-hosp5) This wouldn't be practical for long lists of options but it helps when it comes time to interpreting the exported data.
I wonder if there are any other field types that have weird problems like this one????

Database Export exporting data does not export time of date columns

Hi,
I'm trying to export some data using Database Export and for the date columns the resulting scripts truncates dates showing only the date part not the time one. If export from a query result the resulting script include all the information (date and time).
Does anyone has an idea on how to export all the date information using database export.

Yep, as Jim said, under Tools / Preferences / Database / NLS Parameters I changed Date Format to DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS

Purchasing Groups values not populated in PR default settings - ME51N ??

Hi,
We have SAP R/3 MM ECC 6.0.
I want to set Purchasing Group as one of the default parameters in ME51N (Purchasing Requisition) screen.
The problem is I have selected 'Purchasing Group' as a default parameter in 'Default Values'/ 'Personal Settings' but,
the Drop-down help does not show up any values for Purchasing Group to be selected as default.
However, I can set-up 'Account assignment' & 'Item Category' as defaults and, I can choose their default values.
Therefore, in result, I do not have any Purchasing Group set as default for my PRs.
Is there a configuration setting required to populate the drop-down box of Default Settings (for purchasing group)
with Purchasing Group values? Please advise.
Could this be a bug?

Hi Karthik,
I have already done these steps.
The problem is - Purch. Group field is there in Default settings but, it doesn't show me any values to select from and
set a Default value.
None of the purchasing groups available in system are appearing here. The selection list is Blank.
Is there anything I need to do to bring the P.Group values in the drop-down selection list of Personal settings?

IPhoto not exporting Aperture EXIF data

Does anyone know why iPhoto will store the aperture value from the original EXIF data, however it will drop this information when exporting? I store my pictures on flickr and keep the EXIF data visible, but no matter how I export it will continually cut out a lot of EXIF data, including this important piece of information.

How are you exporting? Are you using a flickr plugin for iPhoto? If so that's what's stripping the info from the file. If you export from iPhoto to the Desktop via the File->Export->File Export all of the EXIF data is preserved and you can include the keywords, comments and file name.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Exclusion groups of radio buttons get merged

When copying and pasting multiple exclusion groups of radio buttons from page to page, the different exclusion groups get merged into one.

This bug is really having a negative affect on my development time. Due to this bug, it is taking me about 20 minutes to place each radio button group, and I have to do about 300 of these.
I thought that creating a radio group as a custom library item and using that instead of copying/pasting would solve the merging issue, but it happens there, too. Anytime a radio group is pasted or inserted from the library, it is merged with an existing group, and is placed in some unpredictable location on the page.
Anyone have a work-around?

I converted a PDF to an excel sheet, but can't sort the data because of not all the merged data are in the same cell? What do I do?

Too many values.Not displaying all the data

Hi All,
I have facing the problem, while showing the map for different location. It says that Too many
"ColumnName" Values.
I cant find any where what is the limitation while representing the maps.......
Please share any one have aware of it.

Tip Pick a category that doesn’t have too many values. If the category has more than 2,000 values, you see a note that the chart is “showing representative sample” rather than all the categories.

Max Date function by Group is not catching a Null Date

I have a query that returns the MAX CLINICALDATE. It is worknig great except if their is no CLINCIALDATE then it doesn't bring that group back and it needs to. Thank you for your help.

Merging data from SAP BEx queries with SQL - Keys are details not Dimension

I have a challenge when trying to merge data from a BEx query and a relational source in SQL Server.
I have a characteristic for Material, with an associated Material key that is a attribute of Material in the BEx query. On the SQL side I have a Material ID which is they unique identifier.
So when you Merge Dimensions in a WebI report, it is exactly that merging dimensions, so you link Material from BEx and Material ID from SQL. However, on the Bex side Material displays a long text field which will never join to the data from SQL which is an ID. The like for like objects are Material Key in BEx and Material ID in SQL, however, as Material Key from BEx is an attribute to manifests itself in WebI via a universe as a Detail object, which makes it unavailable for merging.
I have tried to set the Material characteristic to display as KEY in the BEx query design, but alas it still comes through as a long text, hence still not able to merge data sets.
Any workarounds ??

Hi Andrew,
In universe designer, edit the material key detail object. Copy the text that refers to the characteristic attribute in your BEx query. Create a new dimension (say, 'Material Key') and paste this text as the definition.
Essentially you're turning a detail object into a dimension, which (in my limited experience) works just fine.

In the code above, lr_current is bound but lv_excl_group_ui returns no value. Without this value, the code beyond cannot return any picklist values ( lt_ddlb ).
I have checked the config and indeed the exclusion group has BP roles assigned to it.
How can i fix this issue?

For regular text fields I am using field.validate.nulltest="error" or field.validate.nulltest="disabled" however for the exclusion groups thats not working.

Thanks for your response. It seems the code was ok the problem was that the behaviour of the exclusion groups is different depending on Version and wheter the form is static or dynamic.

Make Composite image from layer data instead from merged data section...

I am working on parsing the psd file and saving the data as per doc of photoshop 6. I need to make an image from the layer data alone with different combinations of layers selected, visible etc... and not using the merged data section in the file. Can any one please help me in this issue??

If a class method exporting a value with the generic type 'data'.

Then how can I get the information?
For exmple.
cl_my_clss->get_value( exporting ev_data = .... ) .
ev_data is a type of data.
I can not use DATA : lv_mine type data. because generic data should be used in formal parameter, however , if I use a field symbol, how to assign value with out knowing the data type?

As per my understanding,
You are getting the data type from the database table....
You want to use the same data type....
Lets say for example:
You have a db table x with field y having data type Z.
What you do is that, while declaring the data type for the attribute in the method use the reference as table_name-field_name(x-y).
Or....
use ANY. This will give you a chance to map any field type to this method....
Note: Using ANY will limit the syntax that you can use within the method......

Grouping to display null values for all the missing dates

Hi SAP,
I am trying to display '0.00' value for all the missing dates in my crystal reports as follows:
17-Jan-14     40.00
18-Jan-14       0.00
19-Jan-14       0.00
20-Jan-14     80.00
However, my crystal report is showing as follows:
17-Jan-14     40.00
18-Jan-14       0.00
19-Jan-14
20-Jan-14     80.00
The missing dates with no data are group together and my '0.00' value is not. Kindly advise me the solution. The formula is shown as per attached.

Fyi, I am using a formula field in crystal report to display "0.00" for days in between as follows:

The issue arise when when there is more than one missing dates in between but the null values ("0.00") displayed is only for the first missing dates and not for all the missing dates.
