Looking forward for ur suggestions.DSTC's (or rather, Wedgetail's) stuff isn't free. Sounds like one of three things:
1) Your academic license has expired - call Wedgetail for help.
2) Your license setup is screwed up - call Wedgetail for help.
3) You're cheating on the license - hope no-one from Wedgetail reads this message.
You can reach Wedgetail at [email protected], or at +61 7 3023 5100.

(PS - no, I don't work for Wedgetail, nor do I use the DSTC package. Just busy with Google this morning...)

  • Use of "NEW FROM PACKAGE" in SAP 8.8 And Master Layout creation

    Dear Expert,
    A)
    How to use "NEW FROM PACKAGE" option at time of choosing company.
    and also how to create .pak file ???
    Even I don't know by using this feature what are the scope.
    B)
    How to create master layout in 8.8 when I am using crystal Report.
    Thanks
    King Kevin

    Hi Kevin.....
    When you install SAP you have to install Solution Packager also. which will help you to create the .pkg file of your database which will then be used in New From Packager......
    And for Master Layout you can import the PLDs as you created independent Via. Reports And Layout. It will ask you the path to store the PLDs. Give the relevant path and your Crystal Report will be executed......

    Can anyone please help me with this. Would really appreciate.

    HI,
    When you user this command is not possible to use the api's <%=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_JAVA_DRIVER")%>, <%=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_JAVA_URL")%>, <%=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_USER_NAME")%> and<%=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_ENCODED_PASS")%> once there is no Logical Schema declared.
    From Logical Schema-->Physical Schema-->Data Server copy the string for all required parameters.
    OR
    1) Create a procedure and one step with the technology and Logical Schema that you need.
    2) put the following code at Target Tab
    <@
    String vUser="<%=odiRef.getInfo("DEST_USER_NAME")%>";
    String vPass=odiRef.getInfo("DEST_PASS");
    String vJDBC="<%=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_JAVA_DRIVER")%>";
    String vURL="<%=odiRef.getInfo("DEST_JAVA_URL")%>";
    @>
    then you can:
    or create one more step calling the odiSqlUnload as Sunopsis API technology
    or call it as next step at the package (in this case do not forget of put the procedure inside the package and set it to first step)
    In both ways you will have something like the following in the API call:
    Target File Name With Path - /home/testlocation/test_filename
    Connection Information - <@=vJDBC@> <@=vURL@>
    Username - <@=vUser@>
    Password - <@=vPass@>
    SqL file location on server - /home/testlocation/test.sql
    Does it make any sense to you?

  • How do I use bin variable in package without asking a user?

    hi,
    I would like to write an SQL but I want to use bind variable in package as a static without asking user? Like below?
    I would like to ask you, below there is a emp_id variable? Is this BIND variable?
    DECLARE
    bonus NUMBER(8,2);
    emp_id NUMBER(6) := 100;
    BEGIN
    SELECT salary * 0.10 INTO bonus FROM employees
    WHERE employee_id = emp_id;
    END;
    If not, like this SQL how can define a BIND variable as static inside a code? not asking a user?
    db version. 9.2.0.8

    /In the query "SELECT salary * 0.10 INTO bonus FROM employees WHERE employee_id = emp_id" emp_id is turned into a bind variable because

  • The configuration file did not contain well formed AppV configuration XML - When using Office 2013 ODT package

    All,
    I'm experiencing an issue where when using the Office 2013 package pulled down from ODT, that if I try to change the locations of either InfoPath Filler 2013 or Publisher 2013 from the default of Microsoft Office 2013 then I receive the message "The
    configuration file did not contain well formed AppV configuration XML. Please check the management server event log for more information". If I check Applications and Services\Microsoft\AppV\Server-Management\Admin the error displayed there is "An
    error was encountered parsing dynamic configuration file '0'. However I am able to change the shortcut location for all other applications except the above 2. I've tried redownloading the files using the ODT and also changing the version number (so far I've
    tried both the 15.0.4631.1002 and 15.0.4659.1001 with the same result).
    As all I'm interested in so far is having a package which contains Visio and Project I've tried following the article to exclude all the other Office elements:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/library/jj219426(v=office.15).aspx#BKMK_ExcludeAppElement. However the package looks to be the same and when I load it into the management console all the options and elements to Office 2013 are available like they were before
    when I hadn't set the exclude tags so I'm not sure whether the ExcludeApp parameters actually work correctly.
    This then brings me onto the 3rd issue I've experienced. I have a group for the Visio users and I've set custom security for them to have Visio delivered to them but not Project and then a seperate group for just Project users who will have Project delivered
    to them but not have Visio. When testing this sometimes seems to work but other times it seems to trip out and a user just in the Project or Visio group will get all of the Office 2013 applications and under the default location of Microsoft Office 2013. When
    trying to spot correlation with this it appears random and can happen to any user on any device. We have sequenced a few applications ourselves where different parts are needed for different users and we have successfully managed this using different security
    groups for different applications, just as I'm trying here with Office 2013.
    Has anyone else experienced the issue with the "did not contain well formed XML" as at the start of the post and how were you able to resolve this? Also has anyone any advice on how to troubleshoot the issue with the security seeming to trip out
    and publish all applications within a package to a user regardless of whether they are in the correct group or not?
    The management / publishing servers are 5.0.1224.0 which is SP1 HF4 and the clients are on SP2 HF5.
    Thanks

    Nicke,
    The config files are UTF-8. I did find the same article as yourself, however when searching for the value ‘TakeoverExtensionPointsFrom46=’ within either of the configuration.xml files that text isn’t found.
    No sinister reason not to share the file used, just it’s the same structure as referenced in the article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn745895(v=office.15).aspx. The only difference being that I’m using ProPlusVolume and I’ve set a version number (which is the October
    2014 update). I’ve even looked to follow the above example as closely as possible in just using the ExcludeApp ID of Access and InfoPath, just to try and prove the process. However I still get the usual full package. The version of the Click-to-Run setup.exe
    I’m using is 15.0.4623.1001, so later than the version specified at the end of that article which is 15.0.4619.1000. Where can I expect to see the elements excluded? Will it be when loading the package into the management console or would it just not appear
    on the machine when delivered?
    <Configuration>
      <Add SourcePath="C:\OfficeDeploymentToolV2" Version="15.0.4659.1001" OfficeClientEdition="32">
        <Product ID="ProPlusVolume">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="Access" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="InfoPath" />
        </Product>
      </Add>
    </Configuration>
    3). We’ve not used global publishing in our environment yet so I will try that. I’ve set both GlobalRefreshEnabled and GlobalRefreshOnLogon to True and when using the command Get-AppvPublishingServer on the client I’m testing with I can see this is pulled
    through correctly. I’ve also added the client name to the AD group used to grant access to the package and it is published. However nothing is pulling through onto the Client, so are there any steps I’ve missed or misinterpreted when looking to set this up?
    I guess the global publishing is there to keep in with licensing for Office being per device? On a slight aside, as Windows licensing is being changed to allow per user licensing
    http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-to-make-per-user-windows-licensing-available-to-enterprise-customers-7000035401/ does anyone know if there are any plans to allow for Office / Project / Visio licenses to go per user as well? We’re a volume license customer
    rather than subscription based so I think a lot of the options to selectively deploy Visio and Project are excluded for us.
    Dan,
    Ok that explains why the security could be tripping out then and leading to this result. As above I’ll try with global publishing and see how I get on.
     From what I’ve read / watched  I think only one Office 2013 package can be published to a machine, so we would be unable to have a separate package for Visio and a separate package for Project and then attempt to deliver
    them both together. If a user wanted both Project and Visio then I guess we’d need to have a combined Project and Visio package to cover than scenario, but then 2 more separate Project and Visio packages for those who would only want either Project and Visio
    (I think).
    The scenario we’re looking at is to see whether we are able to deliver Project and / or Visio to different users through an AppV package and this will then cover users on XenApp or on fat clients. Only a small proportion of our
    users will need access to Project and / or Visio so therefore we’d only have a small amount of Project and Visio licenses.
    However from what I’ve tested up to this point and from what I’ve picked up from Forum posts / watched on TechEd sessions is that as publishing is Global and is unable to use different security groups for different elements of the
    suite, then using Office through AppV is only suitable if you will be delivering the whole suite (including Project and Visio) to all of your users. So in a scenario where you’d only want certain elements to be delivered to a handful of users then you’d need
    to keep with traditional ESD methods to have this installed onto fat clients and steer clear of XenApp. If wanting to install to XenApp then a lockdown tool like AppSense or AppLocker would also need to be brought into the equation.
    Is my understanding above correct or have I missed some options / methods?
    If the full Office package is always delivered but a company only has Office licenses and no Project and Visio licenses for all its users, how do they stop Project and Visio being delivered and being available? Or again if you have
    this use case is the AppV method one which will be unsuitable?
    Thanks

  • Error executing query using oracle XA datasource

    Hi,
    The following is the error I am getting while trying to access a resource from a datasource. The same code works fine if I use a normal datasource(non-xa datasource)
    Configuration: WSAD 5.1 running over jre ver 1.4 and oracle 8.1.7. I have put classes12.zip in the classpath of the server.
    Code:
    DBSelect sel = new DBSelect();

    sel.setInitialContextFactory("com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory");
    sel.setProviderUrl("iiop://localhost:2809/");

    sel.execute();
    System.out.println(sel.getConnectionSpec());
    if (sel.onRow()) {
    do {
    System.out.println(sel.getColumnAsString(1));
    } while (sel.next());
    sel.close();
    I have also tried using the beolow mentioned code, which aso fails with a similar exception
              DataSource ds = (DataSource)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ctx.lookup("jdbc/ds1"), DataSource.class);
              ds.setLogWriter(new PrintWriter(System.out));

    I am facing the same problem..... I always get the answers to my problem by reading the forums.. This time I am really not lucky enough. I am using Oracle 8.1.7. Does it have anything to do with version. I have used both ojdb14.jar and classes12.jar to get the same error output.
    Anybody has answer to it?

  • An issue using the COM components supplied with SAP GUI 6.2 or 6.4

    We are having an issue using the COM components supplied with SAP GUI 6.2 or 6.4.  We used to have SAP 4.6c and now we have 5.0.  When we were on 4.6c, we used these COM components to logon and execute RFC calls and we had much success.  Now that we are on 5.0, we can’t seem to instance any SAP functions that have something to do with SAP Workflow.  We have experienced this problem when using VB6 or .NET, but our existing code that always worked is in VB 6.0.
    SAP Components used:
    o     SAP Logon Control
    o     SAP Function Control
    o     Librfc32.dll
    o     Other supporting C DLLs and/or COM object supplied with the SAP GUI installation.
    For example, if we want to call the RFC ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT, this code fails in VB6 when the “Set objworkflow = objFuncCtrl.Add(strFunction)” line of code executes.  Instead of returning an instance of the object ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT function, no object is created.  In 6.2, SAP raises no errors, but the object we are trying to create is still “Nothing”.  If we use 6.4, SAP raises an error “SAP data type not supported” via a message box and then the object is still = Nothing.  Interestingly enough, the 6.2 GUI COM controls don’t display the error dialog.  The message box that is shown comes from the SAP Function COM Object "SAP.Functions" (wdtfuncs.ocx).
    Now, what is interesting is if we use the same code to call a standard function or custom function that doesn’t have anything to do with SAP Workflow, then the code works fine.  Again, all of our code used to work just fine on an SAP 4.6 system.
    Here is the code that fails:
        'SAP Logon control - object for creating connections to an SAP system
        Dim objSAPLogonCtrl As Object
        'SAP connection object
        Dim objConnection As Object
        'Object that will represent the SAP function called
        Dim objSAP As Object
        'SAP function control object - object factory for creating other SAP function objects
        Dim objFuncCtrl As Object
        'Create instance of an SAP logon conrol
        Set objSAPLogonCtrl = CreateObject("SAP.Logoncontrol.1")
        'Create a connection object
        Set objConnection = objSAPLogonCtrl.NewConnection
        'Define connecion parameters
        objConnection.ApplicationServer = "sapvm"
        objConnection.SystemNumber = "00"
        objConnection.Client = "800"
        objConnection.User = "iissap"
        objConnection.Password = "tstadm"
        objConnection.Language = "E"
        objConnection.TraceLevel = 10
        'call the logon method of the connection object
        If objConnection.Logon(0, True) = False Then
            MsgBox Error
            Exit Sub
        End If
        'Create an instance of the SAP Function control object
        Set objFuncCtrl = CreateObject("SAP.Functions")
        'Set the function control connection object
        Set objFuncCtrl.Connection = objConnection
        'Function name to be generated and called
        Dim strFunction As String
        strFunction = <b>"ARCHIV_PROCESS_RFCINPUT"</b>
        'Create an instance of the function defined in strFunction
        Set objworkflow = objFuncCtrl.Add(strFunction)
        If objworkflow Is Nothing Then
            MsgBox "Could not create object " & strFunction
        Else
            MsgBox strFunction & " object created."
        End If
    If anyone has seen anything like this or has any ideas, please help!

    Hi,
    documentation on the Scripting API is available at ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/640/scripting/docs/
    This API is a replacement of the existing, obsolete COM interfaces.

  • How  to use  refcursor in a package

    i want to use refcursor in a package
    but when i am trying to declare a refcursor variable ,
    I get no error but the refcursor does not return anything .
    why is this happenning ?
    I also read that we cannot define cursor variables in a paclage .
    Then how to go about it ?
    regards
    shubhajit

    Since Oracle 7.3 REF CURSORS have been available which allow recordsets to be returned from stored procedures, functions and packages. The example below uses a ref cursor to return a subset of the records in the EMP table.
    First, a package definition is needed to hold the ref cursor type:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE Types AS
    TYPE cursor_type IS REF CURSOR;
    END Types;
    Note. In Oracle9i the SYS_REFCURSOR type has been added making this first step unnecessary. If you are using Oracle9i or later simply ignore this first package and replace any references to Types.cursor_type with SYS_REFCURSOR.
    Next a procedure is defined to use the ref cursor:
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PROCEDURE GetEmpRS (p_deptno IN emp.deptno%TYPE,
    p_recordset OUT Types.cursor_type) AS
    BEGIN
    OPEN p_recordset FOR
    SELECT ename,
    empno,
    deptno
    FROM emp
    WHERE deptno = p_deptno
    ORDER BY ename;
    END GetEmpRS;
    The resulting cursor can be referenced from PL/SQL as follows:
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON SIZE 1000000
    DECLARE
    v_cursor Types.cursor_type;
    v_ename emp.ename%TYPE;
    v_empno emp.empno%TYPE;
    v_deptno emp.deptno%TYPE;
    BEGIN
    GetEmpRS (p_deptno => 30,
    p_recordset => v_cursor);
    LOOP
    FETCH v_cursor
    INTO v_ename, v_empno, v_deptno;
    EXIT WHEN v_cursor%NOTFOUND;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(v_ename || ' | ' || v_empno || ' | ' || v_deptno);
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE v_cursor;
    END;
    In addition the cursor can be used as an ADO Recordset:
    Dim conn, cmd, rs
    Set conn = Server.CreateObject("adodb.connection")
    conn.Open "DSN=TSH1;UID=scott;PWD=tiger"
    Set cmd = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Command")
    Set cmd.ActiveConnection = conn
    cmd.CommandText = "GetEmpRS"
    cmd.CommandType = 4 'adCmdStoredProc
    Dim param1
    Set param1 = cmd.CreateParameter ("deptno", adInteger, adParamInput)
    cmd.Parameters.Append param1
    param1.Value = 30
    Set rs = cmd.Execute
    Do Until rs.BOF Or rs.EOF
    -- Do something
    rs.MoveNext
    Loop
    rs.Close
    conn.Close
    Set rs = nothing
    Set param1 = nothing
    Set cmd = nothing
    Set conn = nothing
    The cursor can also be referenced as a Java ResultSet:
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.jdbc.*;
    public class TestResultSet {
    public TestResultSet() {
    try {
    DriverManager.registerDriver (new oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:oci:@w2k1", "scott", "tiger");
    CallableStatement stmt = conn.prepareCall("BEGIN GetEmpRS(?, ?); END;");
    stmt.setInt(1, 30); // DEPTNO
    stmt.registerOutParameter(2, OracleTypes.CURSOR); //REF CURSOR
    stmt.execute();
    ResultSet rs = ((OracleCallableStatement)stmt).getCursor(2);
    while (rs.next()) {
    System.out.println(rs.getString("ename") + ":" + rs.getString("empno") + ":" + rs.getString("deptno"));
    rs.close();
    rs = null;
    stmt.close();
    stmt = null;
    conn.close();
    conn = null;
    catch (SQLException e) {
    System.out.println(e.getLocalizedMessage());
    public static void main (String[] args) {
    new TestResultSet();
    Hope this helps. Regards
    Srini

  • What do you use instead of picture package in photoshop cs6

    What can you use instead of picture package in photoshop cs6. You cannot import it anymore to make pictures. I do not want to print one at a time.

    I think the Bridge Output Module comes as standard with CS6, but I might be wrong.  Even if you have CC, you can download the Output Module.
    Install Adobe Output Module

  • HT1338 using the Optional Installs package on your Mac OS X install disc,

    How do I use the optional installs package without a disc?

    you're question is a bit vague, are you trying to utilize the online OS X installation from the recovery partition? If you wan't to selectively install or re-install various packages there is an applications called Pacifist that enables you to choose packages from the InstallESD.dmg. If you have downloaded the Install Mounatin Lion application, there's several ways of accessing this disk image. The simplest is to click "Go To Folder..." under the Go tab of the finder menu and type the following "/Applications/Install OS X Mountain Lion/Contents/SharedSupport". make a copy of the InstallESD.dmg file and then when prompted by Pacifist select the file.
    What exactly are you trying to do? Are you looking for X11/Xquartz? If you give a little more specificity I can probably help you accomplish your objective.

    Packages?
    xCode PackageMaker?
    Which one should I put my time into using?
    Thanks.

    Nicolas, Have you been able to get the Adobe Update to work? I get stopped at the first step, putting in the command-line to install the AUS2.0. I think we have a support Contract, i should probably just ask Adobe for assistance.
    Does noboby create their own distributable packages? Maybe i'm looking at this wrong.
    I see that even Microsoft puts their updates into a .pkg file that is pushable through ARD. Maybe most everyone else does?
    I was able to get an Adobe Flash Player Distributable installer, from Adobe, you have to fill out a form asking for permission for the distributable installer, and they send you a link to the files.. ugh. but fine. I have the .pkg installer for Flash, and that works pushing out over ARD.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/players/flash-player-distribution.html
    I guess my life would be great, if i can just get a Updater source for CS5.5 and CS6.
    I did create the Adobe Package distribution for actually installing the CS6 over ARD. That works.
    I have a licensing glitch on deploying new machine off a build that has CS6 on it. I'm able to get around the licensing glitch by using the Adobe Serialization tool, that's fine.
    I guess i'm just looking for a CS6 Updates tool. I'm fine creating a CS6 updater package using InstallEase or something. I'm wondering what the best one is.
    IF most everything already comes as a .pkg file nowadays, and it's just Adobe that's difficult. I guess there's not really a need to create .pkg files for anyone? So nobody really uses them?

  • Tips on transferring LV executable that uses Field Point Serial to another PC

    I have been trying to transfer an LabVIEW compiled executable  from one PC to another
    The executable references 2 field point serial banks.
    After hours of frustration I think I have it pinned it down to the fact that (at least for me) It is not possible unless LabVIEW is invoked on the target machine.
    Only if I start LV 2010 and configure a field point control on it then LabVIEW can refer to the Bank. After that I can have it refer to the correct IAK file and the executable will work.
    However IF I try to transfer from another machine without starting LabVIEW on the target machine it simply will not work for me.
    It seems that I have to load a FIeld point control on a block diagram of a new machine then configure it to get dialogs to come up specifying
    how to select the proper configuration. I do not see any of this help in MAX
    Id much rather have a way of setting up in MAX than having my EXE work right away. Instead my workaround is to
    start LabVIEW and configure a field point control to get it set up proiperly.
    This means I may have to install yet another version of LabVIEw to get the exe to work again and its getting tiresome.
    I use INI files for the serial port settings. Its the field point software that has me going in circles.
    If anyone have any experience or tips for transferring an executable that uses fieldpoint serial (FP-1000) from one PC to another PC
    without having to invoke LabVIEW to configureit I would be interested in hearing from you. Thanks
    PS Target machine has LV2010   MAV ver 4.70f4
    Executable compiled in LV 2010
    Source Machine has LV 2010 SP1  MAX ver 4.7.6
    Executable compiled in LV 2010 SP1
    My next move is to upgrade the target to 2010 SP1 and try again but it has already taken me days to transfer this one program
    and I still cant figure out how to do it so I might just wait and see if there is any interest in helping me first.
    Thanks again!

    I have been to these KnowledgeBase links and what is so frustrating about it is that I have have not seen anything that was not already done
    automatically when I created the executable on the source machine and transferred the executable to the target machine.

    MY FP version is 6.07 on both machines.
    The dll is where its supposed to be on the target machine in a Data subfolder under the main application (exe) folder
    The IAK file is created in MAX with the designations identical to what is the source machine.
    The EXE is now partially working (somehow) but I am trying to find out the exact procedure for next time so I can write it down for future reference..
    EVen though the target application now 'sees' the Field point banks the utility I added into the exe to allow user to configure a front panel Field Point control
    (should it be required) does not work. Instead when I try to browse configure the control in the executable I now get this error dialog.
    This must be the root of all my troubles.
    I am now attempting to resolve this by installing LV2010 SP1  and DCD_NOV10 on the target machine so that it matches the source machine.
    (If I am going to re-install Fieldpoint I might as well install the whole Device Driver CD)
    I hope this solves this issue once and for all.
    Your knowledge base insists that if the field point versions are the same on both machines and if the DLL is where it is supposed to be and if the IAK file is loaded and saved
    this should work. It did not and still does not fully work. If I can find the exact reason I will report it in this thread.

  • TNS-01190: The user is not authorized to execute the requested listener com

    Hello All,
    I just re-installed oracle forms10g and oracle 10g rel 2 on windows vista. The first time i installed both software, i swithched d pc off without turning off the listener on my laptop. When i rebooted, i found that i could not startup both forms 10g and oracle 10g database let alone loggin in. So i re-installed both prodcts. Every time i try to turn off the listener i get the error TNS-01190: The user is not authorized to execute the requested listener com. I have tried several ways to turn this off, but all effort has failed. After reading several literature on this issue, I learnt that if you change the password then any user who knows the password should be able to turn off the listener. But I still get thesame error on trying to add a password. Please can anyone help me by telling me how i can deduce the oracle user that has the administrative right to perform this task.
    Pls forgive me for the long text. Thanks again. Pls note I am not an expert so pls be explicit in your explanations.
    cheers
    aj

    Many thanks for your reply. It did not allow me to set up the password. It came back with thesame error TNS-01190 The user is not authorized to execute the requested listener command.
    I used the change_password command in lsnrctl from Dos. Note that I have created several users eg Oracle, on windows and gave it the Administrator privilege. But still it will not let me stop the listener or create a password for it. Hope anyone has experienced this before? Due to this my system has been on for the past 24hrs, approximately. Many thanks.
    Cheers

  • How can I encrypt(using PKI credential) a package/portfolio using Assembler Service

    Hi All,
    I have found a way to encrypt (using password credential) a package/
    portfolio using a DDX and calling invokeDDX service of Assembler
    Service. see the DDX snippet below
    How  can I do the PKI based encryption on the package. I couldn't find
    any DDX element for this.
    snippet:
