Expecting not to use MacBook for a month -- disconnect battery (or not)?

I recall seeing some guidelines for when to remove a MacBook battery if you are expecting not to use your MacBook for a while.
Is non-use for *a month* long enough to recommend removing a battery, or is that only necessary for longer periods (two months or longer?
I assume there's no reason to leave the charger connected (?)
Thanks. Replies appreciated.

"Long term" non-use would be more than 4 months. For one month, it's fine to leave the battery in. No reason to leave the AC connected, just shut down the MB.
Hope this helps...
Thanks.
