Export and import oracle xe application users

How can i import a user'sexport script using sqlplus?
i make a export with application->export->users to a file exportuser.sql
but when i'm try to import with sqlplus i get
ORA-20001: Unauthorized access (wwv_flow_api.set_credentials).
I need to make a silence creation of users using sqlplus, (not by htmldb), any idea?

Hello
Have a look on HTMLDB_UTIL.EXPORT_USERS - How this works?
For me it works. Import works fine.
Compare your file with the output from my command and check for differences...

  • Export and import change document for user master data

    Dear Gurus,
I have two queries on change document for user master data:
    1. Are there any approaches to export and import change document for user master data?
We often do system copy from PRD to QAS for UAT and troubleshooting. Before system copy we export the user master data from QAS and then import after the copy process. We would like to keep the change document for user master data on QAS from being refreshed from PRD for security reason.
    2. Change document for Role change in QAS
When the role is created or modified in DEV and then transported to QAS, the role change document doen't include this change log. The role change document in QAS only records those role changes directly made in QAS.
Could you advise this is by SAP design or are there any approaches to record this transported role change  in the role change document in QAS?
    Thanks
    YBY

    1. Perhaps you want to consider a system copy to a "virtual system" for UAT?
    2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.
    Cheers,
    Julius

Subject: How to perform FULL System Export/Imports
    Type: BULLETIN
    Status: PUBLISHED
    Content Type: TEXT/X-HTML
    Creation Date: 18-APR-1994
    Last Revision Date: 30-AUG-2002
    Purpose
This article highlights some important points to consider when performing
a Full System Export and Import.
    Scope and Application
It is intended to assist users performing FULL System Exports and Imports.
A Full System Export and Import is a useful way to replicate or clean up
a database. Please note the following guidelines when performing a Full
    System Export and Import:
    1. When performing the import, ensure you are pointing at the correct
instance. Always check values for the SID and two task driver before
    proceeding.
*Note:   On Unix systems, just entering a sub-shell, such as using
C-shell, can change the database that the import would work
    against.
    2. When possible, it is advisable to take a physical copy of the
exported database and the database you intend to import into before
starting the import. This ensures any mistakes are reversible.
    3. NEVER run a FULL SYSTEM IMPORT on a machine that has more than one
database UNLESS you are 100% sure all tablespaces have been
pre-created. A full import will create any undefined tablespaces
using the same datafile names as the exported database. There are
situations where this is very dangerous:
-> If the datafiles belong to ANY other database, they will be
CORRUPTED. This is especially true if the exported database is
on the same machine, because its datafiles will be re-used by
the database you are importing into.
-> If the datafiles have names that clash with existing operating
    system files.
    4. When exporting, it is advisable to also produce a report showing
information you may need before / after the import:
-> List the tablespaces and datafiles
    -> List the rollback segments
-> List a count, by user, of each object type such as tables,
    indexes, etc.
This enables you to ensure that tablespaces have been pre-created
and to check the success of the import after it is complete.
    5. If you are creating a completely new database from an export, remember
to create an extra rollback segment in SYSTEM, and make this available
in the init.ora file before proceeding with the import.
    6. There are some versions of export that do not retain sequence numbers
correctly. It is advisable to select next_value for each sequence
after the export so that these can be checked after import.
Following these guidelines will help you to avoid major problems.

Subject: How To Copy an Oracle Database To Another Machine
    Type: HOWTO
    Status: PUBLISHED
    Content Type: TEXT/X-HTML
    Creation Date: 12-OCT-2001
    Last Revision Date: 01-OCT-2003
goal: How to copy an Oracle database to another machine
fact: Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition
    fix:
Pre-requisites: The copy is between 2 machines, both have to be on the same OS
and have to have exactly the same database version installed.
    1. Make sure the database you want to copy was closed with a SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE,
    SHUTDOWN NORMAL or SHUTDOWN TRANSACTIONAL.
    2. Copy init.ora and control files to create instance and be able to go in
mount mode. Check the init.ora for the locations where the controlfiles have
to be, if those locations are not valid on the machine put the control files on
different places and adjust the init.ora accordingly.
3.a. Copy the datafiles (all of them).
    b. Copy the redo-logfiles (all of them).
4.a. (Unix only) Set the environment variables:
ORACLE_SID - set to the database name you wish to create
ORACLE_HOME - set to full pathname of the Oracle system home directory
PATH - needs to include $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    b. (NT/2000 only) Do 'set ORACLE_SID=<SID>'
Use oradim to create the service for the instance. For more information
on oradim please refer to (the part that refers to creating a new instance):
    Note:68720.1 Creating a new 7.3, 8.0, 8.1 Instance/Database
    5. Use servermanager (check the name to use for your version of oracle) or
sqlplus (version 9i and above) to startup the database in mount mode.
    Do
    CONNECT INTERNAL/<PASSWORD>
    then
    STARTUP MOUNT
Then do a rename of the copied datafiles if they are not in the same path as on
the other machine. For all the files that are in the result of the query:
    SELECT NAME FROM V$DATAFILE;
    do
ALTER DATABASE RENAME FILE '<oldfullpath>\<filename>' to <
    newfullpath>\<filename>';
    6. Query the datadictionary for the old location of the redolog files using:
    SELECT MEMBER FROM V$LOGFILE;
If the new place is not the same as the old do:
ALTER DATABASE RENAME FILE '<oldfullpath>\<redologfilename>' to &
    lt;newfullpath>\<redologfilename>';
    7. Now open the database:
    ALTER DATBASE OPEN;

  • Steps to export and import oracle 10g databse from AIX to AIX and LINUX

    Hi,
I need the steps to export the oracle 10g database from AIX server to AIX server and LINUX server.
Please give me all the steps as this is my first exort an import activity.
    thanks,

For 10g there exist two ways to do so.
    1) Regular exp/imp.
    2) Data pump expdp/impdp.
As this is your first export and import activity, relevant concept understanding is mandatory for you.

  • Oracle Export and Import of XE application

I am trying to do an Oracle Export of an EX application and an Import to another PC. Can it be done?
I have encountered several problems. Either it brought over the application, but no Pages or I cannot access the Login page.
My reason for this is to handle application updates/changes for 50 odd remote users.
I am using APEX Release 2.1.0.00.39

Yes it was a full database export with all schemas.
I ran the following query before and after the import:
    select object_type, count(*) from dba_objects where owner = 'FLOWS_020100' group by object_type order by 1;
After the IMPORT, I had less LOBs (4) and Tables(8).
    The missing tables are:
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_IDX$I
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_IDX$K
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_IDX$N
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_IDX$R
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_PT_IDX$I
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_PT_IDX$K
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_PT_IDX$N
    DR$WWV_FLOW_OH_PT_IDX$R
The script below was used to reinstate the SYS grants to flows_020100:
    Select owner||':'||table_name||':'||privilege from dba_tab_privs where grantee='FLOWS_020100' and grantor='SYS';

When I Imported this last time, I Imported by users. Three imports statements for each user flows_020100, flows_files and apex_public_user (XE_DBA).
    imp system/passwrd file=g:\common\xe\xedba_full.dmp ignore=y fromuser=flows_020100 touser=flows_020100 log=c:\flows_logs.log

    imp system/passwrd file=g:\common\xe\xedba_full.dmp ignore=y fromuser=xe_dba touser=xe_dba log=c:\xe_dba_logs.log
as opposed to my initial IMPORT:
    imp system/passwrd file=g:\common\xe\xefull.dmp ignore=y
FYI: I am not getting the Err-1016 "4550" Page "1" not found error. It now lets me log in , but there are[b] no applications. It should have been 5 applications.
Hey, in typing the above statement, I realized that my login page is "101" (default) and Page "1" is a data entry page.

  • Exporting and Importing Data of Application Log

    Hello,
We do migrate an application from SAP System A to SAP System B.
Despite the application logic, we do need to migrate some data, too.
For this we do write an export report in System A that writes the data of some tables to  files on the app server..
Another report in system B takes the files and fills the respecting tables.
    So far so good:
One table (which reports certain actions)  contains the handle to the application log, which was created for this action.
I do want to extract this application log and later import this log in the other system, but do not know how this can be done in the best way.
Do you have any suggestion ?
    Best regards
    Michael

In my experience, it's an unrealistic expectation.
SAP doesn't provide a straight path to migrate logs the way you plan to do. It's kept in a combination of tables and index files on the system. So even if you were to successfully extract it, when you load the data into system B you will lose the date and time stamp. When you create a log entry, it picks up system date and time. That's what an auditor would look for.
An alternate solution would be to read the application log and store it in a new custom table in system B.
Any reporting should be done off that as of a specific date.

  • To export and import oracle 11g table data only

    Hi Gurus,
Just not sure of the procedure to follow in the export just the table data and then truncate the table do some changes(not table structure changes ) and then import the same table data in to the relevent table .
Could some please help me in the setps involved in it .
    Thanks a Lot in advance

If you can use Data Pump, here are your commands:
    expdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name content=data_only
    impdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name table_exists_action=append
Data Pump requires version 10.1 or later.

here i want to ask how i can speedup my export and import using expdp. You can utilize parallelizing export when using data pump, but for traditional export use the following
Export of Databases - reads data by running a select statement of the data and generating the DDL to perform the import process in future.
    Fast Exports
    1) Use direct=y
    2) Until disk is not fully utilized try running exports in parallel.
    3) Keep export file on different disk then the datafiles.
    4) Run exports in two part rather than one i.e. 1st rows=n and second as indexes=n rows=y constraints=n.
    Fast Imports
    1) Use the first file out of two files created with the exports, It will insert all data but will not create any indexes and constraints. Once the data insertion is done run imp with indexfile option to extract script of index creation in text file. edit the file to include parallel clause and set parameters db_file_multiblock_read_count to 128 with sort_area_size to a higher value and workarea_size_policy=AUTO.

You should just be able to call the "imp" and "exp" executables ($ORACLE_HOME/bin) using the Runtime class. You can setup the various parameters for export / import in a parameter file.

  • Export and Import in Oracle

I need to export users with tables and data from Oracle 8.0.4 and import into Oracle 8.1.7.
But the condition is that we need to retain the Japanese characters.
I did this using simple export and import functions but Japanese characters were imported as Junk.
Can somebody tell me what is the clean way of exporting and importing such that Japanese charaters are not converted to Junk.

You must set the correct characterset before exporting and importing (I don't know which characterset is correct for you, but choosing the same characterset as the characterset of your database should work).
Use NLS_LANG environment variable to do this,
NLS_LANG=<LANGUAGE>_<TERRITORY>.<CHARACTERSET>. On UNIX if NLS_LANG is not set explicitly, it defaults to AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII, that means all special characters cannot be translated.
On Windows NLS_LANG is set at installation time, it corresponds to the settings of Windows itself.
