    Hello All,
    I have a requirement to send/export the background job spool in Excel (in MHTML format) in ECC 6.0. Please help.
    Thank you.

    Hi Jigar,
    Thanks for your response.
    Anything is like download to desktop or email is fine. But in MHTML format.
    We can download the ALV report in MHTML spreadsheet format when we run the program online. But the program is running for long time and going to dump.
    So i scheduled it as background job and downloading the output in  .HTML format. But user wants the spool/report output in .MHTML spreadsheet format.
    I can write the code. Instead of changing the existing program I would like to know is there any way (from standard SAP) that I can get the background spool in MHTML spreadsheet format.
    Thanks,

  • Exporting Cross Tabs to Excel - Data Only

    I have a report with three cross tabs embedded in three report footers (RFa, RFb, RFc).  The third cross tab in RFc, is actually in a subreport.  When I preview the report and then export to excel in Excel Data Only there is no problem.  Howeever, when I export the report (with the same export settings as before) without previewing it first, it truncates the data found in the first and third crosstabs.  Anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this?  I have played with the settings in the export options and have gotten it to export the first and second crosstabs without previewing but the third crosstab is still a problem.
    I thought that Crystal reports would export exactly what is in the report and I do not know why previewing should matter or not?
    Thank you for your help!

    Athalia,
    I tried to recreate the issue using the Xtreme sample database with 3 crosstabs in RFa,b,c with hours of the day as columns. First crosstab has rows for Region, second uses City, and third uses Country.
    All 3 are summarizing Customer Credit ID and the 3rd has the sum of Last Years Sales and count of Address1.
    When I export this I get the correct result whether the report is previewed or not. I am using the exporting options, Maintain Relative Object position, Maintain Column Alignment, and Simplify Page Header
    I would suggest;
    a) Ensure that the 3 crosstabs are left aligned and that the column widths of all 3 are the same
    b) If there are any other sections in the report that are visible try suppressing all but the 3 sections with the crosstabs in them, will it export now?
    c) Try recreating the 3rd crosstab adding just 1 summarized field at a time until it fails and then any formatting that you had done until it fails to try and narrow down what is causing the truncation
    d) Try creating a similar report using the Xtreme sample database to see if you can recreate the issue and if so then document the steps so that I can recreate it.

  • Exporting Cross-Tab to Excel using RAS 9.0 - incorrect and data loss

    Hello,
    Hope somone can help to solve the following issue.
    Develop a cross-tab report using Crystal Report Developer 9.0. service pack 5 or above.
    (1). Viewing in Crystal Report - no problem - all rows and columns displayed correctly.
    (2). Export to Excel using Crystal Report - no problem - all rows and columns exported correctly.
    (3). Viewing in RAS 9.0 - no problem, all rows and columns displayed correctly.
    (4). Export to Excel using RAS 9.0 - problem - only one or two rows with last rows are exported but wrong data. Most columns are not exported.  Seems like exporting errors.
    RAS 9.0 was patched with hotfix 200603 and service pack 5.
    Please help or is there any hotfix or service pack that resolved this problem?  As developer, we can use crystal report for exporting but for users, their only choice is through RAS.
    Thank you very much!

    Please re-post if this is still an issue to the .NET Development - Crystal Reports Forum or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly

  • Cross-tab - Comparing values from resultset (other than CurrentFieldValue

    Hi guys, I'm using CRXI Standard (eclipse plugin) and I have some trouble to customize my crosstab.
    Here is a example of what I'd like to do
    if ({MY_TABLE.FIELD_FLAG}="Y") then
         "FLAG SETTED"
    else
         ToText(CurrentFieldValue)
    I read some topics on this site that were discussing about that issue but none of them seems to have been resolved.

    So I would just like to know if one of you guys found a solution or a workaround to that problem
    Thanks

    Hi guys,
    After reading your suggestion we tried coalesce however we did not see any improvement whatsoever.  Also thanks for the tips Lars.  What we did find was that if we used input parameters the performance was greatly improved.  Strangely the original case statement OR the coalesce both performed well when we restarted our server (we have seen strange issues with 68 like this) but only when running the entire raw SQL script inside SQL editor.  ie: if our calculation view contains 100 lines of code and we paste it into SQL editor it works great.  Alternatively if we reference the view directly like this;
    select * from "SYS_BIC"."CalcViewName" where condition = 'abc'
    This performance is bad.  If we parameterize the calculation view and change the way we reference the view like this it is now flying;
    select * from "SYS_BIC"."CalcViewName"
    ('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$CONDITION$$', ''abc'''))
    This makes sense to me as it seems to be pushing the filter to the beginning of the query.  What does not make sense to us is why running the entire SQL directly in SQL editor (without parameters) works very fast as well.  It's only when calling the view directly via SYS_BIC that it becomes slow and then requires the input parameters.  You might then ask why we care, just put the input parameters in the view and call it done!  Well the issue is with Microstrategy tool that we are using which has limitation around multiple values in a single parameter.

  • Cross tab report vertical display?

    Is it possible for a cross tab (or other RTF template report format) to accomplish this?
    The one issue with our cross tab report is the data needs to be grouped by day. This is the format we would like to achieve:
    Employee-----Mon-----------Tues-------------Wed
    John------------08:15AM-----08:15AM------11:00AM
    ------------------12:15PM-----08:15AM------16:00PM
    ------------------01:15PM-----08:15AM------17:00PM
    ------------------17:30PM-----08:15AM------19:30PM
    Mary-----------10:00AM-----08:15AM------10:00AM
    ------------------14:15PM-----11:15AM------14:15PM
    ------------------15:15PM-----12:15AM------15:15PM
    ------------------19:30PM-----17:15AM------19:30PM
    In this way, each employee (John and Mary) shows the time they started work and below that the time they went on their lunch break below that the time back from lunch break and below that the time they finished work.
    With a cross tab report we are getting these results:
    Employee-----Mon-----------Tues-------------Wed-----------Thurs
    John------------08:15AM-----12:15PM------01:15PM------17:30PM
    Mary-----------10:00AM-----14:15PM------ 15:15PM-------19:30PM
    The data is going across the row instead of down. John's 12:15PM time going to lunch should display directly below the 08:15AM time he started work as in the first example.
    Any suggestions to get a cross tab report (or any other kind of format) to display data like that?
    Thank you very much! :)

  • Conditionally Format Cross Tab Field

    I have a cross tab report that I want to conditionally format text color if row# 5 meets my criteria. Below is the formula I am trying in the Format Field editor.
    if {@Type} = "8=POH"
    then crred
    (I have also tried adding the else statement.....else crblack)
    I get no results when I try this. I can change the text color via the formatting toolbar, but this changes all data in all 6-8 rows.
    Is there another method to conditionally format the row, or is it just not possible?
    Thanks

    I just learned this yesterday, so here goes.
    In the suppresion formula for the column total, enter the following expression:
    numberVar x:=0;
    False;
    This is going to reset the row count for each column
    Then in the suppression formula for the summary field, enter the following expression:
    numberVar x := x + 1;
    False;
    And in the font color conditional formual, use the following expression:
    numberVar X;
    if (X = 5) and ({@Type} = "8=POH") then crRed else crNoColor;
    This should give you a red 5th row if the type condition is met
    Fuskie
    Who cautions that he does not know what the {@Type} formula contains and that it might need to be modified to be used in this context...

  • Cross Tab Grand Total Out Of Line When Exporting to Excel Data Only

    Does anyone have a solution to this issue:
    Setting up a cross tab report with a grand-total field at the end of it and exporting to Excel Data Only format, moves the grand total values one column to the right of where the should be.
    eg:
    Company    Month    Revenue    Total
    Acme       200710   1000.00    1000.00
    Indigo     200710   2000.00    2000.00
    Total                          3000.00   3000.00
    Thanx for any input - looks better in fixed font.
    the 2nd 3000.00 appears to the right of the Total column and not under it

    Of what i gather from ur scenario...this is what i did in one of my reports.
    I had to use two subreports and they had to occupy one cell each, in line with other fields.
    To obtain that,all the fields required in the subreport i put them into a text box.Therein restricting the fields to the txt box only...
    Then import that sub-report as it is.
    It worked for me....

  • Cross-Tab Report export to Excel

    I have a cross-tab report that I need to export to excel and keep the same formatting.  When I export the report the first column is Part # the next is operation #.  The report is grouped on Part number, but each part may have multi operation.  When I look at the report in Crystal or as a PDF the part # is at the top then each operation is a seperate row that follows.  When I export it to excel it works fine but instead of the part # appearing at the top then follow by each operation the part number ends up on the last operation in the list.  How can I export this and keep the format the same?  by the way I have tried both xls data only and xls 2007 options

    Hello Experts,
    I also tried to export the CR cross tab report in Excel Data only format.
    Also I want to display Row label i.e. my Rows are different dates so I created a text field and named as Date & Time but when export it to Excel Data Only, the date time label appears 1 row above then rest of the columns. It works good while looking on InfoView but export messed it up.
    Can you please suggest.

    Yeah.. crystal has giving  some issues while exporting reports without SPs, especialy previous versions.
    So  Better to install latest SP or patches for CR 10.0. I think SP 6 is the updated one for CR10.0.

  • Cross Tab export : Excel Data Only - Row headings are *bottom* aligned?

    Hi All,
    Having a problem with Crystal 11 / BOXI.
    I have a Cross Tab working fine that has four Row groupings (labels on the left).
    In Preview mode, it looks as expected. Row #1 label appears on line 1. Row #1 label shows blank on line 2,3,4 etc until it is ready to change.
    The organization of the Row group is further made clear by a nice box that spans multiple rows. The Row label appears at the TOP of this box as you might expect.
    In Excel-Data Only format, there is a problem. (I saved, scheduled, and ran on BO XI Enterprise CMC console.) The Excel file shows the Row 1 labels without any box (that's OK as it is "data only") however the text is bottom aligned. So the first label does not appear until the final row of the grouping.
    Same thing is happening with Row 2, 3 groupings, they are all bottom aligned.
    It's confusing for the users who would expect the Row grouping labels to be all top-aligned.
    I have searched the forums and support site and read all technotes. I also tried several things including:
    Format Field for Row#1 Name, choosing Left/Right/Center horizontal alignment (where is the same for vertical??)
    Within BO Enterprise, try combinations of options under Excel - Data Only : export formatting, maintain relative object position, maintain column alignment, use options saved with report, etc.
    Any ideas? Is there a way to force a top-alignment programmatically, for Excel Data Only output?
    Help appreciated !

    I found the answer to this question with help from SAP Support.
    In the Cross-Tab Expert, Customize Style tab, click "Column Totals on Top".
    Then, the Excel Data Only report will show the row titles Top-aligned for the row group.

    This is occuring in Plus and Viewer.

  • Cross-tab with a lot of data causes fault in crpe32.dll when exporting to Excel

    Hello.  I believe I found a bug in the Service Pack 9.  After upgrading my production to runtime 9, I found that cross-tab reports with large datasets crashed the website.  Per the Windows Application Log, a fault happened in the crpe32.dll.  So I uninstalled the runtimes for 9 and re-installed 8 and the reports worked again.  My production uses the 64 bit runtimes.
    I created a test site which includes a two datasets one large and one small with two reports, one cross-tab and another non-cross-tab.  The site has four pages, one to open the cross-tab report using the large dataset, another with the same cross-tab report using the small dataset, another for the non-cross-tab report using the large dataset and the last with the non-cross-tab report using the small dataset.  Only the cross-tab report using the large dataset causes the fault.  I’ve attached the test site for you use as needed.

    Hi Thomas,
    What version of Visual Studio are you using?
    What OS are you using?
    What version of IIS?
    I did a quick test using a simplied one liner WEB app and I see the same thing...
    FYI, changes we've done is IIS recommends, actually it's a must, to load the report and viewer in the Page_Init section and not the Page_Load so you initialize all of the required dependencies, Page Load doesn't handle it properly...
    I tried both, doesn't make any difference...
    By the way your "large dataset" is not that big. I've seen people use a 10 meg xml files.
    Try moving all of your code to the Page_Init section and test again to confirm...
    I don't believe it has anything to do with the amount data directly, I believe it's the number of pages to render for a crosstab report.
    I'll escalate this to DEV - ADAPT01726274
    Set for SP 10 ( which means I set it to be fix in SP 10 but it does not mean it will be. All depends on DEV's work load )
    Thanks
