Using exp, "Export: Release 9.2.0.1.0"
What is the import utility version?
Using imp, "Import: Release 9.2.0.1.0"
What version of Oracle database are you trying to export?
9.2.0.1.0
Into what version of Oracle database are you trying to import?
9.2.0.1.0
What are the database character sets and values of environment variable 'NLS_LANG' for each case?
Not sure about this but I didnt change any parameters of the character set, should be
WE8MSWIN1252

  • Smart Object And Action Question

    I have a smart object layer in one document and I want to drag it over to another document and record this in an action. If I just drag it over, the action records it as select previous document. Copy and paste doesn't transfer the layer as a smart object.
    Is there any way to do this in an action?
    Thanks!

    The place suggestion worked. It's too bad that it has to be so wasteful on space though. It looks like placing a file makes it a smart object which then contains the original smart object I wanted to transfer over.
    Thanks!

    Export terminated successfully with warnings.Unfortunately, you can't export just the objects you want to unless they are tables.
    Using import (imp) you can list the content of your packages, procedures, functions, views, etc. and perhaps that will give you what you need.
    Another choice would be to useSELECT * FROM user_source ORDER BY 2, 1, 3;to list the code.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to export app +underlying schema(and data)

    Hi
    I am trying to export my application and its underlying tables to a new system .
    I want to know if it can be done together and not seperately..(export app and then export each table)
    Is there away to package the app and its underlying repository?
    Thanks

    No....
    You will have to do them seperately as there is no logical connection between the application and the tables.
    Your application just has the access to use those tables and does not "own" any of them.
    a) Oracle database tables/ application tables
    You can export the entire schema and all the objects and data in that schema using the export and import utilities.
    All these objects are owned by the schema (eg. emp under scott) and hence are related logically.
    b) Oracle apex metadata tables.
    All the information about apex objects is stored as metadata in database tables (FLOWS_0300 is a schema).
    So, if you install Oracle apex on a new machine, all these repository tables will be created.
    When you create applications / objects, these tables will have metadata for those applications.
    Hope this helps,
    Rajesh.

  • Exporting VI content (objects and connections)

    Hello everyone,
    I would like to obtain a list of the objects AND connections of the block diagram of a VI. In other words, I would like to find out from a VI what objects, subVIs etc. contains an other VI...  Is this possible somehow?
    (e.g. if we have two boolean controls, named Bool1 and Bool2, a boolean indicator, named Bool3, and these three are connected by the means of an AND gate - Bool3=Bool1*Bool2,
    then I would like to obtain the content of my VI, which is either the formula Bool3=Bool1*Bool2,  or something like a date packet
    Controls: Bool1, Bool2;
    Indicators: Bool3;
    Objects: AND gate;
    Connections: Bool1-1st input of AND gate, Bool2-2nd input of AND gate, Bool3-output of AND gate).
    The Export Strings function from the Tools menu exports only a tagged list about the objects, without mentioning anything about the connections.
    Hope you understand my question!
    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Lorant

    There is just one point I'm just thinking about that... for instance when you have a multiplication, if you right click on the output part and choose "create indicator", an indicator is create with a default name "X*Y"... that sort of mean that LabVIEW can, in some cases, tell you where the outputs come from, no ?

  • Exporting/Importing partition schema

    Hi,
    We are trying to manage multiple repositories for a project and in
    particular we use a devopment/test rep and a production rep ( containing a
    production plans snapshot ).
    When a plan is moved from a development repository to the production one,
    the partitioning previously done is lost. In this case developers have to
    partition from scratch.
    Moreover in our repository management policy ( apart clean up ) , we
    destroy periodically development repository and import saved plans in a new
    created one. This procedure causes the same problem described before.
    Is there any chance to export the partition schema done in development
    repository in order to re-apply the partitioning to the same plan in new
    one, using fscript ?
    Is there any other way to do it ( maybe via repository hooks and a tool
    application ) ?
    Thanx
    Fab

    Fabrizio,
    We have a tool that will do this, and a number of other things for you. It
    not only saves partitioning information, but it also:
    * Reads your application defintion, along with the partitioning information
    from the repository,
    * Creates deployment and installation scripts,
    * Analyzes your application for over 20 different performance and
    scalability problems,
    * Captures the supplier plan relationships for each partition as well as
    for the entire application,
    * Graphically shows partitioning structure, similar to partition workshop,
    along with all partition and service object properties,
    * Has Web and IIOP property sheets which are read from the application,
    * Saves operational information, such as outage schedules and external
    interfaces,
    * Records special runtime properties of classes in your system
    We offer this as part of our "Designing for Deployment" workshop. You can
    send me a separate message for information about the workshop and the tool.

  • Is there a way to take export dump with only selected objects

    Hi,
    I want to take a partial export dump containing only few objects of a particular schema in Oracle 10g DB.
    I am trying to use "exp" utility for this.
    The parfile used for this is as follows:
    FILE=CSG_Objects.dmp
    FULL=n
    ROWS=y
    COMPRESS=y
    INDEXES=y
    TRIGGERS=y
    CONSTRAINTS=y
    LOG=export_CSG_Objects.log
    TABLES=table1,table2,table3...
    With this I can only export tables but not other objects like views, procedures, sequences etc.
    If I try to use other object name in TABLES list, I get errors.
    Is there any way I could export other "selected" objects also?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ullhas

    There are 4 modes in exp and expdp. You can specify
    full=y which will get all objects in the database
    schemas = list which will get alll of the objects in these schemas
    tables = list which get all of the tables in your list plus all of the objects dependent
    on these tables
    tablespaces=list which finds all fo the tables in those tablespaces and then does a table mode
    export for the table list, including dependent objects.
    Other than excluding/included a few objects, original exp does not have a way to specifically include certain objects. This was one of the enhancements to datapump expdp/impdp.
    If you are running 10.1 or later, you can use datapump export/import. Now, you can do a table mode export and put in an include/exclude list.
    include=tables,grants,table_statistics
    or
    exclude grants, index_statistics
    If you let us know what you are trying to include or exclude, it would be easier to come up with a solution.

  • Export / import tablespace with all objects (datas, users, roles)

    Hi, i have a problem or question to the topic export / import tablespace.
    On the one hand, i have a database 10g (A) and on the other hand, a database 11g (B).
    On A there is a tablespace called PRO.
    Furthermore 3 Users:
    PRO_Main - contains the datas - Tablespace PRO
    PRO_Users1 with a role PRO_UROLE - Tablespace PRO
    PRO_Users2 with a role PRO_UROLE - Tablespace PRO
    Now, i want to transfer the whole tablespace PRO (included users PRO_MAIN, PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and the role PRO_UROLE) from A to B.
    On B, I 've created the user PRO_Main and the tablespace PRO.
    On A , i execute following statement:
    expdp PRO_Main/XXX TABLESPACES=PRO DIRECTORY=backup_datapump DUMPFILE=TSpro.dmp LOGFILE=TSpro.log
    On B:
    impdp PRO_Main/XXX TABLESPACES=PRO DIRECTORY=backup_datapump DUMPFILE=TSpro.dmp LOGFILE=TSpro.log
    Result:
    The User PRO_Main was imported with all the datas.
    But i 'm missing PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and the role PRO_UROLE...
    I assume, i 've used wrong parameters in my expd and / or impdp.
    It would be nice, if anybody can give me a hint.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Frank

    When you do a TABLESPACE mode export by specifying just the tablespaces, then all that gets exported are the tables and their dependent objects. The users, roles, and the tablespace definitions themselves don't get exported.
    When you do a SCHEMA mode export by specifying the schemas, you will get the schema definitions (if the schema running the export is privied) and all of the objects that the schema owns. The schema does not own roles or tablespace definitions.
    In your case, you want to move
    1. schemas - which you already created 1 on your target database
    2. roles
    3. everything in the tablespaces owned by multiple schemas.
    There is no 1 export/import command that will do this. This is how i would do this:
    1 - move the schema definitions
    a. you can either create these manually or
    b1. expdp schemas=<your list of schemas> include=user
    b2 impdp the results from b1.
    2. move the roles
    expdp full=y include=role ...
    remember, this will include all roles. If you want to limit what gets exported, then use:
    include=role:"in ('ROLE1', 'ROLE2', ETC.)
    impdo the roles just exported
    3. move the user information
    a. If you want to move all of the schema's objects like functions, packages, etc, then you need to use a schema mode
    export
    expdp user/password schemas=a,b,c ...
    b. If you want to move only the objects in those tablespaces, then use the tablespace export
    expdp user/password tablespaces=tbs1, tbs2, ...
    c. import the dumpfile generated in step 3
    impdp user/password ...
    Hope this helps.

  • Clone schema with current db objects and data.

    Hi Cloud expert,
    I need feature to clone existing schema and create new schema with schema as a service. I created profile that export schema with database objects and data. I created template that use the profile created. While provisioning the template I found all the database objects with template. Now I need a solution to clone the current schema with all the objects at current time. The way I tried contains all the objects that were exists while exporting the schema. I need the solution to clone schema so that it will contains all the objects and data right now.
    While reading document I found snapclone but that is not the exactly the solution I need. I simply need to clone schema with latest db object and data with Self Service portal.
    Thank You in advance.

    One option is to run BACKUP/RESTORE, once you have restored you run:
    SELECT 'ALTER TABLE ' + quotename(s.name) + '.' + quotename(o.name) +
           ' DISABLE TRIGGER ALL '
    FROM   sys.schemas s
    JOIN   sys.objects o ON o.schema_id = s.schema_id
    WHERE  o.type = 'U'
      AND  EXISTS (SELECT *
                   FROM   sys.triggers tr
                   WHERE  tr.parent_id = o.object_id)
    Copy result and paste into a query window do to run. Next:
    SELECT 'DELETE ' + quotename(s.name) + '.' + quotename(o.name)
    FROM   sys.schemas s
    JOIN   sys.objects o ON o.schema_id = s.schema_id
    WHERE  o.type = 'U'
    Run this result until you don't get any more errors.
    Run the first query again, but change DISABLE to ENABLE.
    This is more long-winding than scripting, particularly if you have lots of data. But you know that you will not make any changes whatsoever to the schema.
    The scripting in SSMS generally does it right, I believe, but some items are not scripted by default. If you run BACKUP/RESTORE, you know that you get a faithful copy.
    Of course, the best way is to keep your code under version control and take the version control system as your ultimate truth.

  • JAVA error when exporting to reporting schema ODDM 4.1

    When attempting to export a design to a reporting schema, we received the following error:

    We downloaded and installed ODDM 4.1 (EA-1) build 4.1.0.866 to resolve an issue with column widths when exporting to the reporting schema (per SR 3-10154440761).  This is the 64 bit version with the included JAVA 1.8 JRE.

    David,
    We migrated this model from data modeler 3.3.  That Model was created from an import from Oracle Designer.  We have not yet tried to import the data model from Oracle Designer directly into v4.1 but are planning to do so shortly.   When we tried to export that design (from v3.3) to the reporting schema, it failed with object too large for column errors.  We wrote SR 3-10154440761 and were advised by Michael Wickham to use v4.1 EA as the column size issue had been resolved in this version.  It was apparent that the export to the reporting schema was making more progress before it failed on the JAVA error.
    We are trying to migrate from Oracle designer to Oracle Data Modeler

  • Export synonyms with schema

    Hi all
    I am trying to export synonyms with the schema, but they do not show on the generated script.
    How can I add the synonyms?
    thanks
    J

    Exactly what synonyms are you trying to export? If they are owned by (i.e., exist within) the schema you are exporting, then they should be exported unless you uncheck the "Synonyms" box. If instead you want to export the synonyms that point to objects in the schema you are exporting, but are owned by another schema, then you can only do it by exporting that second schema separately.
    For instance, if you export schema "A' and it has synonyms to itself or to some other schema (or schemas), then they should be part of the script. If however schema "B" has synonyms pointing to schema "A" and you export schema "A" all you will get is schema "A"s objects; schema "B"s synonyms will not be included since they belong to it and not schema "A".
    Hope this helps.

    I just installed SQL Data Modeler version 2.0.0 Build 584
    Export to reporting schema (File -> Export -> To Reporting Schema ) is not working.
    I created a report schema and tried to export the Sql Data Modeler (SDM) repository to the Oracle schema.
    I received the following error from SDM: "Error occured while exporting to Reporting Schema. See the log for details".
    I checked the log ( View -> Log ) and all the log contained was "2010-01-18 11:10:23 - Exporting to Reports Schema"
    The reports schema contained 44 tables. None of the tables contain any data.
    I can create a test table and add data to it in the reporting schema. There is lots of quota available to the reports schema.
    I have tried the report export to Oracle several times with the former version with mixed results.
    Any suggestion? Does the "export to reporting schema" work for anyone else?
    The following script from TOAD describes the reports schema.
    CREATE USER SDM_REPORT
    IDENTIFIED BY <password>
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS
    TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP
    PROFILE DEFAULT
    ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
    -- 2 Roles for SDM_REPORT
    GRANT CONNECT TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT RESOURCE TO SDM_REPORT;
    ALTER USER SDM_REPORT DEFAULT ROLE ALL;
    -- 15 System Privileges for SDM_REPORT
    GRANT CREATE TRIGGER TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE PROCEDURE TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT DROP PUBLIC SYNONYM TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT DEBUG CONNECT SESSION TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE TABLE TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE SESSION TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT SELECT ANY DICTIONARY TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE ROLE TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE VIEW TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE TYPE TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE SEQUENCE TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT CREATE ANY SYNONYM TO SDM_REPORT;
    GRANT UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO SDM_REPORT;
    -- 1 Tablespace Quota for SDM_REPORT
    ALTER USER SDM_REPORT QUOTA UNLIMITED ON USERS;

    Problem solved: Data Modeler would export other designs to an Oracle schema but not the one I was working on (Babylon). I saved a copy of Babylon, BabylonReports and deleted everything except the relational model. Then I could export it to the repository. I assume that either the logical model or dataflow model had a problem which prevented Data Modeler from saving the export. Next time I'll run Design Rules to see if there is an error I can eliminate that will allow me to save an export.

  • How to pass arraylist of object from action class to jsp and display in jsp

    I need to do the following using struts
    I have input jsp, action class and action form associated to that. In the action class I will generate the sql based on the input from jsp page/action form, create a result set. The result set is stored as java objects in a ArrayList object.
    Now I need to pass the arraylist object to another jsp to display. Can I put the ArrayList object in the request object and pass to the success page defined for the action? If this approach is not apprpriate, please let me know correct approach.
    if this method is okay, how can I access the objects from arraylist in jsp and display their property in jsp. This java object is a java bean ( getter and setter methods on it).
    ( need jsp code)
    Can I do like this:
    <% ArrayList objList = (ArrayList)request.getattribute("lookupdata"): %> in jsp
    (***I have done request.setattribute("lookupdata", arraylistobj); in action class. ***)
    Assuming the java object has two properties, can I do the following
    <% for (iint i=0. i<objList.size;I++){ %>
    <td> what should i do here to get the first property of the object </td>
    <td> what should i do here to get the first property of the object </td>
    <% }
    %>
    if this approach is not proper, how can I pass the list of objects and parse in jsp?
    I am not sure what will be the name of the object. I can find out how many are there but i am not sure I can find out the name
    thanks a lot
