where do you want it to be exported to? Another server instance? if yes you can do piecemeal restore if partition is in a separate filegroup and you're on full recovery model

Export file Attachments in Siebel

hi ,
we have a requirement to export siebel attachment from Siebel eclinical application. The entity relation is between activity and attachments.
When i am trying to export the files attachments using the following IFB code
[Siebel Interface Manager]
     USER NAME = "sadmin"
     PASSWORD = "****"
     PROCESS = "EXPORTATTACHMENTS"
[EXPORTATTACHMENTS]
     TYPE = EXPORT
     TABLE = EIM_ACT_DTL

     ATTACHMENT DIRECTORY = "f:\sia81\CTMS\siebsrvr\OUTPUT"
     EXPORT ALL ROWS = FALSE
     EXPORT MATCHES     = S_ACTIVITY_ATT,( FILE_NAME LIKE "MarcRendell-PS%")
When runnign this ifb following is the observation
1) the process is extracting all the reocrds activity table to EIM tables and seems like EXPORT MATCHES condition is kinda ignored as there were less numbers of recprds which were expedted.
2) the files are not getting exported to the location ( also tried with SiebFS)
Could you please help me with your inputs which will help me to solve this issue.

How to Add Attachments table

Hi,
We have a requirement to show the invoice attachment(s) (i.e. scanned image of invoice) in iProc requisition/PO details page.
eg. I want to show all the invoice attachments in PO details page (i.e. attachments of all the invoices linked to the PO)
If anybody worked on adding a new attachments region to OA page, please let me know details about how to do the same or any pointer would be really helpful.

I understand you want to add a attachments table to a Standard page where you can view the existing attachments,
Check your page data is coming from an EO Based VO, then it is very easy to get the attachments.
To check your VO is EO based, goto about this page, and check the VO details.
You have to add an item of type attachments(there are 3 types table, links, region) with referencing to your EO and its primary key.
There you can mention the attachments properties also, (read only, delete allowed..etc).
Let me know if you are not able to achieve the same.

How to export some data from the tables of an owner with integrity?
I want to bring some data from all tables in a single owner of the production database for development environment.
My initial requirements are: seeking information on company code (emp), contract status (status) and / or effective date of contract settlement (dt_liq_efetiva) - a small amount of data to developers.
These three fields are present in the main system table (the table of contracts). Then I thought about ...
- create a temporary table from the query results table to contract;
- and then use this temporary table as a reference to fetch the data in other tables of the owner while maintaining integrity. But how? I have not found the answer, because: what to do when not there is the possibility of a join between the contract and any other table?
I am considering the possibility of consulting the names of tables, foreign keys and columns above, and create dynamic SQL. Conceptually, something like:

Well, I am working with release 9.2.0.8.0. But the planning is migrate to 10g this year. So my questions are:
With Data Pump can export data just from tables owned for me (SCHEMAS = MYOWNER) parameterizing the volume of data (SAMPLE) and filters to table (QUERY), right? But parameterizing a contract table QUERY = "WHERE status NOT IN (2,6) ORDER BY contract ":
1º- the Data Pump automatically searches for related data in other tables in the owner? ex. parcel table has X records related (fk) with Y contracts not in (2,6): X * SAMPLE records will be randomly exported?
2º- for the tables without relation (fk) and which are within the owner (MYOWNER) the data is exported only based on the parameter SAMPLE?

If we attached the any files, files are stored in the fnd_lobs table, pickup the data from the fnd lobs table and stored in the local system but if attached the url type how to open the url type.is there any standard ?

You can do it one of two ways:
1. Insert some CSS that will change the target to "_new".
2. Change the field that the user enters information in to a single line of text, then create a calculated column that is:
=CONCATENATE("<a href=",[URL Field]." target=new>Click here</a>")
Format that as a number.

Export to xls from table is taking too long (Around 20 min)

I am new member to this forum. I had a table with 80 columns and 20000 records. It is having primary key column. When i try to export the table data in toad from data grid it is taking 15-20 min. When i try to export from my front end java application it is saying time out. when i query the table i am getting results in 3 secs, but when tried to export it is taking more time.
Can any one please provide me solution for exporting the data faster with in a min?

I got it. But this export is happening from front end java application, Which i am simulating in back-end toad. Could you please help me any architecture level approach while creating table. Once again thanks for your input.
