Export / Recording confusion

Hello
AIM : I have two separate Keynote presentations, each with automatic transitions and a music soundtrack. I want to create a DVD so a person can choose which one they want to watch.
METHOD : I thought the best method was to export the Keynote presentations to QuickTime movies, then use iDVD to make the DVD.
PROBLEM : When I export the presentation the automatic transitions don't work. I have tried different settings but all that happens is that the sound track plays through with the first slide showing. I did not export with Manual transitions selected.
I tried using the Recording function but then I am confused about what Audio to choose on Export.
I have read the manual and it appears that the Recording function is for narration, not for recording the transitions - the transitions just went through automatically during the Recording but the sound is terrible because the sound track re-recorded.
I know I am probably missing something basic but I would appreciate any pointers that result in a DVD with two movies on it and all the transitions and sound tracks.
Many thanks in advance
Deb

Forget this question.
I have exported them all from Keynote as pngs and imported them into iMovie as stills and have much more control and it will be much better.

  • Export Records from CRM 2011 to Sharepoint 2013

We currently have CRM 2011 and are about to install Sharepoint 2013.
We are wondering is it possible to export records from Entities in CRM 2011 to a folder in Sharepoint 2013?
If this is possible can it be automated to run on a schedule?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

You can use a custom timer job in SharePoint 2013 to be scheduled to run. This job could interact with your CRM system to import the entities to a folder or List in SharePoint. Andrew has a link here:

  • Export records with images - how to export the filename of the image?

    Hi There,
When we export records from the data manager, the image field exports as a sequence number, not the image filename. Is there any way that i can change this? Alternatively, can i export image data from the image manager which might provide me this link of sequence number to image filename??
    Thanks..

    Hi Adam,
I agree that using MDM Data Manager, main table record with  linked image field exports as a sequence number, not the image filename. But You can easily export image file name using MDM Syndicator functionality.
As per my understanding, Image Manager will not solve your purpose as i feel it is nothing but now a part of Data Manager. I mean if you select your Images Table as current table in your data manager not Main table, you will get the same look and feel of Image manager. So when you open current table as Images in Data Manager and go to file-->export-> you can export Image name but it will not let you know about the relationship with main table record. I feel same thing will happen when you use Image Manager. So use MDM Syndicator which you resolve your issue of exporting main table record with image file name not image sequence number. You can also export Original file name, Code etc using Syndicator functionality along with Image name and main table record.

  • Data Manager : Export records to excel

    Hi MDM pals,
Data manager offers an user to select records in a repository and export them to an excel file.Options exist to choose fields and Qualifiers to be exported.Output file will be a single excel file with all records in distinct columns.
Having said that, I am in need of exporting records in main table and qualified lookup tables with respective qualifiers into different excel files. Please advise how to split the same.
    Need stated as below :
    1) Excel file 1 : Main table (Customer)
    2) Excel file 2 : Qualified Table 1 (Sales Data) - Should contain Sales records(non qualifiers and qualifiers)  for each customer.
    3) Excel file 3 : Qualified Table 1 (Pricing Data) - Should contain Price records(non qualifiers and Qualifiers) for each customer.
    Regards,
    Vinay M.S

    Hi Vinay,
Yes this can be achieved but you need to perform the export three times.
    1) Main table (Customer)
Go to File -> Export To -> Excel, select all the fields, this will simply export all the main table records. If you want to export selected records then either select them manually or perform the search and then go for export.
    2) Excel file 2 : Qualified Table 1 (Sales Data) - Should contain Sales records(non qualifiers and qualifiers) for each customer.
Go to File -> Export To -> Excel, remove all the main table fields, select Customer Number field and the Lookup Qualified field Sales Data from the list of available fields and move them to Fields to Export, once you move Sales Data field, Qualifiers Check box will get enabled, Check that and you will get the list of Qualifiers in the available fields, either you can select all the qualifiers or the selected ones depending upon what you want in the excel file. Just click on OK and check the output file.
    3) Excel file 3 : Qualified Table 1 (Pricing Data) - Should contain Price records(non qualifiers and Qualifiers) for each customer.

  • Exporting record of phones without certificat on CUCM

    Hi,
how can i export record of phones without certification or with expired one on cisco unified callmanger?
    thanks.

    Hi Caleb,
I would check your DLU licenses. It sounds to me like you are
out of licenses and that's why you can't add any additional phones

  • Export recorded slideshow, with embedded quicktime, to quicktime...

    ...doesn't capture the video.
I'm trying to export a Keynote '09 presentation, with recorded audio. The presentation also contains embedded quicktime video (a screencast). However, the resulting exported quicktime does not run through the embedded video (the initial video still is shown throughout the whole narration of the screencast). I'm using the "recorded timing" playback.
While its exporting, the Keynote preview actually shows screencast playing fine.
The embedded video plays fine when I export without the recorded audio.
Any idea what might be happening here?

Well i just found this and tried it, it worked
    1) Go to export to QT as usual.
    2) Click the second drop down (Formats) and select 'Custom...'.
    3) A new window will pop up, click the 'Settings...' button.
My 'Compression Type' drop down was set to 'H.264'....I was told to
    4) Change the 'Compression Type' to 'MPEG-4 Video.
(I do not think it is related to the fix being suggested or just as a preference, I was told to slide the Compressor - Quality slider on the bottom left to 'Best')
    5) Click the 'OK' button on the bottom left
    That window will close.
    6) Click the 'Next' button and continue with your export.
Not sure why this works but it did. But i still cant do it the normal way.

  • Export "recorded" Keynote to Quicktime=loss of quality and stuttering..

    Hi folks,
Can anyone give me help? Here is the deal:
    1. I have a nice Keynote with all of my actions and transitions. I want to record it (or whatever) and send it to iMovie where I can manipulate multiple songs (from iTunes) as a soundtrack.
    2. After that, either make a dvd of it, or save it as a quicktime movie to play direct from the mac.
    3. The best quality is desired.
I saw that someone recommended Snapz ProX to record..can that then play nicely with iMovie/soundtrack development?
The "record" feature in Keynote was the only way I could preserve my custom actions and transitions, but the export to Quicktime horribly reduces quality to an unusable level. Drat.
    Thanks!!!!!

On your mac... bring up the keynote and set it to the first slide. Then click file>record. This will begin a play-thru of your keynote. If you have to advance things by click then you will have to trial-and-error on that and see if you like the results. If you have everything automated it will work smoothly. If you have audio make sure you turn your speakers off or way down as it will automatically turn on the mic as it records and it will record you talking and stuff... so shhhhhh!
After it is done, click share>export to itunes. If asked --you want to work with the recorded version you just made--. It should then create a quiktime version of your keynote that is playable on a PC. (that can play QT videos!)
Depending on what you have made there are many ways to do this... If it is a simple slide show you can first try to export as a Power Point which will certainly play on the PC...but is prone to issues depending on your slides.
You can only record your Keynote once at a time... so if you mess up, just click file>clear recording, and do it again.....
Just tinker with it and you will see....

  • Condition check befor exporting records

Can we put any condition before the records get exported.
I.e as the records reach syndication manager for syndication i want a condition to be executed and then based on the result of condition i want syndication map to be selected
    Ex:-
if acount group=zind i want syndication map CREMDM04 to be exceuted
els i want CREMDM04_FI map to be executed.
Can i at any place check this, whether in workflow or somewhere but b4 syndicating.
    Plz reply me
    Regards
    Lakshmi

    Hi Shifali,
It is like , since you are using conditional Validation you should use the Branch step instead of the individual Validation step firstly.
You can have your set of 20 Validations as designed which will be applicable to all  the records.
Create 2 sets of this group Validations so say you have
    - Group1_Validations
    - Group2_Validations
The Group1_Validations will have all the common validations and along with that the Acct group validation also which, will check if the account group of the particular record is ZIND.
The Group2_Validations will have all the common validations and along with that the Acct group validation also which, will check if the account group of the particular record is ZMIS.
So all the records which will fulfill all the common validations and have acct group as ZIND will move in one path
and the other records having acct group ZMIS will take the default path.
For the records taking the first path you can hav ethe syndicate step which will save the desired CREMDM04 port
and the deafult records will go to the other syndicate where that port will have CREMDM04_Fi deatils in the map.
So accordingly your records will get routed.
Your workflow will look like this
    /Syndicate1-----Stop
    Start-Process>Branch----<
    /Syndicate2-----Stop
Branch will have 2 Validtion groups
    Group1_Validations- Syndicate1
    Group2_Validations- Syndicate2
Syndicate 1 will have port storing all the necessary settings that match CREMDM04 map
and Syndicate 2 will have the port storing all the necessary settings that match CREMDM04_FI map

  • Imovie '11 - export format confusion - m4v = mov = H.264?

    Greetings,
    iMovie '11
When I use Share > Export I get the "Save As" dialog box. If I select Mobile, Medium, or Large, the file type is .m4v. If I select HD 720p or HD 1080p, the file type is .mov. When I view them with QuickTime Player 7, then according to the Inspector, they are all in H.264 format. The .m4v files open in iTunes by default, whereas the HD files open in QT7 by default. What is the point of this mess? Please explain.

'Format' is very unspecific when it comes to media as video.
There's CODECS and there's CONTAINERS, or wrappers:
h264 is a codec; a computer needs a wrapper, a box to identify such data as 'video', there's no such thing as 'naked' h264 in the wild. . such a box could be avi, or mov. Or m4v. Or .mts. Or AVCHD .. = all can contain h264. Different box, different purposes, some say 'standards' ...
Another example: mpeg2 ... is a codec. can appear as .mp2. can appear inside a mov. can appear inside a VIDEO_TS aka 'videoDVD'.-
Next: flv. NO codec. A wrapper. Can contain h264. Can contain VP6. If h264 is inside, no need for 'flash video', which is property of Adobe.-
Finally, just to confuse you: mpeg4. Is a codec. can appear as .mp4. BUT .mp4 is a wrapper too, can contain h264, as 'videos' for a Playstation4 ...
If you're not interested in what some lunatic engineers invent, simply use the presets in any export-dialog. does work.-

  • SPF record confusion

I've read through a number of forum posts here and elsewhere and still find this a confusing thing to setup.  I believe it is partly because of the way terminology is being used.
We host our own email on Exchange 2010 servers and have a number of email domains.
    domaina.com
    domainb.com
    domainc.com
    domaind.com
The mx records for all the above domains look like: mail.domaina.com IPADDRESS (same for domain b, domain c, etc).
We use an external email filtering service.  As a result, our MX records list the filtering service addresses as the highest priority, with our own mail host listed last: mail.ourdomain.com
We only send mail from our own email servers.  We do not relay any of our email to another server for delivery to the internet.  We do not use the email filtering service for any outbound email.
I only want to include the three servers of ours that deliver mail to the internet in our SPF record.
In the past, when I have done a telnet session to test SMTP from another server inside our network to one of the outbound servers, our server might respond with a different hostname in the HELO/EHLO (one of the four different mail.domaina.com, mail.domainb.com,
mail.domainc.com or mail.domaind.com hostnames).  For the example, I will say that mail.domaina.com is our primary mail domain which also matches the subject name on our SSL certificates.
Using a number of different SPF record generating tools, I come up with different SPF records and reading the SPF record creation guidelines, I don't find it any more clear.
Some of the tools even suggest that the email server names be included in the SPF record.  Here is what was suggested, more or less, by the SPF record generating tools:
    "v=spf1 mx a a:hubtransportserver1.domaina.com a:hubtransportserver2.domaina.com a:hubtransportserver3.domaina.com ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.202/31 ~all"
I used a CIDR calculator to convert the three public IP addresses used by our outbound email servers to generate the CIDR range.
With the information above, can anyone offer guidance on what the proper SPF record format is?  The Microsoft SPF tool is still broken - you can't add more than one mx record domain, no matter how you enter them in the box.  It will work if you only
    enter one mx record domain.
    Any help is appreciated!

it should have the IP addresses or the domain name of all the server which is authorized to receive the email for your domain
    Example:
    "v=spf1 ip4:192.168.0.1/16 -all"
    example.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 include:example.net -all"
    ; AND
    example1.com. IN SPF "v=spf1 include:example1.net -all"

  • DNS Records Confused

    Hi everyone,
I have did the transtion from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.
My Exchange 2007 URLS were with mail.mydomain.com and hostname of the exchange 2007 server was  mail.
I came up with Exchange 2013 with hostname mail1
    mail  : 192.168.1.10 (Exchange 2007)
    mail1 : 192.168.1.15 (Exchange 2013)(all virtual directories i set to mail.mydomain.com)
After decommisioning Exchange 2007 i changed exchange 2013 server to the old ip of Exchange 2007
    mail1 192.168.1.10
    I created
A record mail pointing to 192.168.1.10(mail.mydomain.com)? is it right
Now i have two records mail and mail1 pointing to same ip 192.168.1.10
Autodiscover record pointing to 192.168.1.10(autodiscover.mydomain.com)? is it right
should my MX record be pointing to mail or mail1
Should i create an SRV recoard?
Please do guide me ,i am able to open Exchang admin center and owa web pages but i am not able to login.
For outlook or active sync, what should be the incoming and outgoing mail server(mail.mydomain.com or mail1.mydomain.com)
I want to use mail as used earlier with exchange 2007

The mail part of mail.mydomain.com for purposes of finding your mail server is not referring to the name of the server as in server1.mydomain.com so the name of your server is not important.
But your certificate should match whatever that is.  So for example my mailserver uses webmail.mydomain.org on the certificate so this is what the internal and external DNS records are pointed to even though the server has a name completely
unrelated to that.  Also, my internal domain is mydomain.local so I created a separate DNS zone internally for webmail.mydomain.org and put the A record (with the internal IP) for my exchange server in there.
So from internally when you look for webmail.mydomain.org you find the internal IP address of the exchange server and when externally looking for the same thing, webmail.mydomain.org you find the external IP address of the exchange server.
Since you have put the new server at the old server IP you should not have to change DNS records externally and if you have DNS configured internally you should not have to change those either.
You do not need srv or mx records internally.  An mx record would be an external record to help people find your mail server on the internet but as I said, since you put the new server at the same IP, presumably you already have external
DNS and firewall settings to allow access.
What you need to do is set the virtual directory addresses and the Service Connection Point for the new server.
First verify your DNS by pinging mail.mydomain.com both internally and externally.
Internally it should resolve to 192.168.1.10.  Externally it should resolve to whatever public IP provides external access through your firewall to the server sitting at that internal IP.
Set the SCP for the new server using EMS (this assumes that your internal ping results above worked correctly):
    Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity mail1 -AutoDiscoverServiceInternalURI https://mail.yourdomain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
You said you already did this part below but you can verify or do it again.
    Configure virtual directories for mail1.
Go to ECP and navigate to Servers >> Virtual Directories
Select mail1 then click the wrench
Add mail1 at the top and then enter mail.yourdomain.com
Back in the Servers >> Virtual Directories section of ECP click on the virtual directories one at a time and then click the edit pencil and copy and paste to make the internal URL match the external one.
Do this for OWA, ECP, ActiveSync, EWS and OAB.  Skip autodiscover and powershell!
Once all of this is done your OWA would be accessed at
https://mail.mydomain.com/owa and your ecp would be accessed at
https://mail.mydomain.com/ecp from both inside and outside your organization.

  • DNS PTR Records confusion

If there is no DHCP server on network then who will give PTR records to DNS server ?

For workstations, no. For some servers such as a mail server, perhaps but not critical. They're more important for public IPs, some email servers won't accept mail from your server if they can't properly perform a reverse lookup on the IP address.

  • Log which records are exported?

    Hello,
    On 11G:
I'm using datapump to keep 2 databases in sync. When exporting data with expdp the query-parameter is used to filter data from the tables - not all data need to be synced all the time.
Now I'm wondering if there is any way to log the number of exported records within the database in some kind of log table. Or to set some flag on every record touched by expdp. How could I achieve any of these?
    Thanks,
    Stephan

I had a look now at Streams and Change Data Capture ... and this made me thinking, if creating a database link between those databases wouldn't be an option after all. Previously I planned to send files over ssh - which does creat some overhead. But if i manage to setup a database link through ssh ... this would make data exchange so much easier. And then I even might be using the features you proposed ...
    cheers,

  • Is there any way to find out what the Ext Id is that is assigned to CRM records

Whilst there is a lot of confusion as to when and where you use this field and what is the unique record key for some, I have understood that however what I am wanting to find is excatly what is the external ID that was assigned to the CRM record when it was first imported. I can't find any report or other means for getting this info and without it I can't re-import record updates.
A method for resolving the issues with CRM updates would simply be if the CRM module provided the following
An export facility as in the Web Apps and Products to simply export the full record with all fields in the same order as required for import
The ability to attach to that export a slected extended CRM layout
That he export record also included as the first field the BC CRM ID (this is the one thing we know to be unique no matter what)
With the above and changes to the import to reference the CRM ID (for existing records) we would indeed be able to apply email address updates to existing records via batch import.
This seems to be a rather obviuous and simple solution unless I am overlooking something. At present the CRM export / import functions are a serious weakness for large database updates and not having the ability to also import bulk deletes is a major drawback on our ability to maintain and manage the CRM integrity. As it stands, if you have been hit by spammers and have hundreds or thousands of delinquent entries in yoru CRM then you have no choice but to leave them in place and if you used a form that by default subscribes them to your mail list - I gave up on that.
My last comment relates to the data pass that is done as part of the import - is it not possible to report on all records that will fail to be imported instead of one at a time?  If you want to reduce the load on teh system having a single pass to list all errors and list this so you can read it before the error message fades before your eyes would not be an unreasoonable request. I loath facing imports for this very reason.
Please BC - when are you going to get around to correcting this major shortcoming in a critical aspect of the solutions we deliver.

Condolences. You can't retrieve the existing password, but you can reset it. See the section on "Resetting the original administrator account password" in this support article:
