Export Records from CRM 2011 to Sharepoint 2013

We currently have CRM 2011 and are about to install Sharepoint 2013.
We are wondering is it possible to export records from Entities in CRM 2011 to a folder in Sharepoint 2013?
If this is possible can it be automated to run on a schedule?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can use a custom timer job in SharePoint 2013 to be scheduled to run. This job could interact with your CRM system to import the entities to a folder or List in SharePoint. Andrew has a link here:

    Hi,
As in my estimation, it’s not viable to export Outlook 2011 to Outlook 2013 Windows 8 without having any third party tool, somehow without any payment it is possible, by using any free trial version for limited file conversion you can try any reliable third
party tool but for multiple or unlimited Mac OLM files conversion you have to make use of a third party tool. In the midst of various third party tools it’s too complicated to find out that, which tool is reliable for making this conversion.
Or else can try manual procedure for this conversion, but its lengthy and no surety. Outlook Mac Exporter software is one of the reliable tool for exporting Mac Outlook 2011 items to PST file format. You also can try this tool and I am sure it will provide
you desiring Outcome by exporting OLM files to PST file format.

  • How to migrate files from different databases to sharepoint 2013?

    Hello everyone,
I need to migrate files of various formats from two databases to SharePoint 2013 ? How should I pursue? Please explain..
Scenario : Two different databases on different systems have loads of files. I need to migrate them to SharePoint?
    Any suggestions/ Answers

    Hi,
You need to copy the database into your network shared folder or SharePoint Server where you wanted to attach this content DB to your newly created web application.
    Hope and Afraid,
Same Domain has been used. I mean if you move the content db from the server 1 which using the AD1 for authenticate the users,
So your new server 2 and web application must have configured to authenticate the AD 1 users.Otherwise user not found exception will be thrown.
If not  still you can change the site collection administrator for the site which is migrated from the server 1.

  • Replication of Interaction Record from CRM to ISU

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to replicate the interaction record from CRM to ISU. Requirement is such that we have to keep the BP Contact number same as the object Id of the Interaction Record in CRM. Currently we are using CRM 5.2.
    Any suggestion.
    Regards,
    Manish

I mentioned EMIGALL because that's the ISU migration workbench... and if there is a need to create BP contacts with external number range, that's definitely when transferring data from the legacy system into a brand new SAP system. So: as I don't have an ISU system available right now, may you please kindly check if migration object BCONTACT allows external numbering? If yes: you get your function module. If no: I guess that's because this is not supported by SAP.
More information about EMIGALL can be found here:

    Hi All,
Please let me know the best/fast approach to export all the Contacts, Activities and Opportunities data from Dynamics 2013 online application?
The data is in huge quantity and export to excel will not help.
    Thanks,

    Hello Silky,
I found out a project on codeplex "Microsoft Dynamics CRM Bulk Update and Export tool" which may suit your exact needs. However this only supports CRM 4.0. Did some more research and found that a blog has been written for Using Bulk Data Export
tool of CRM 4.0 with CRM 2011. I am providing both the links below.

  • Export and import a list in sharepoint 2013

    Hi Team,
I have an share point 2013 application which is an input wizard that allows user to enter some employe information and after user submits the same. these records are stored in form of sharepoint list.
as part of load testing , I need to create this list with more than 100 records. i can use coded ui to enter information and create records, but this will take good amount of time.
is there any way i can import the list to an excel and then add my test records using some  c# code and then import back the excel to share point list.
Can any one help in this regard.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
There are many options we can select to import the excel file to SharePoint list.
First option,  you can use the “Export to Excel” option to export the list items to a excel file, create records in the excel, then save the file to local machine.
Now, you can use the “ Export Table to SharePoint List” option under the DESIGN table tool in the Excel to export the file to a new list in the SharePoint.
You can also use Excel 2007 Add-in(it works in SharePoint 2013) to achieve the same function.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb462636%28v=office.11%29.aspx
In SharePoint, we can also use the Import Spreadsheet app to import the Excel file to a new SharePoint list.
    Site Content->add an app->Import Spreadsheet
What’s more, you can also use the SPImporter tool to import data to SharePoint.
    https://spimporter.codeplex.com/
You can also import the Excel data to SharePoint list programmatically.

  • Migrating from CRM 2011 on-premises to CRM Online (Attachments)

I need to move our CRM 2011 on-premises to CRM Online. I got my customizations into CRM Online. My next task is to get the data there. Some are easy but I am not sure how to handle
    1) Interconnected records. For instance a case is connected to an account, emails, products, etc. I figured I just will
        a) export and then import leads first as accounts are connected to leads
        b) export and then import emails and products
        c) export and then import cases
However, how to I assure that all these records are still having the same connections (case 100 connected to email 501 and 502, etc)
    2) Some records have files associated with them. The biggest one is emails that have attachments. How can I get these emails into CRM Online including attachments?

Thanks. Scribe is way too expensive. SSIS might be an option I need to explore more. Any opinion about Microsoft Dynamics CRM Instance Adapter? I am reading some articles about it and consider giving it a try. However, I can't even find the download despite
    a lot of searches.

  • Migrating from CRM 2011 on-premise to Online

    Hi there,
We currently run CRM 2011 on-premise, we have 5 users and minimal customisations so far. We would like to migrate from On-premise to Online as we have this available through our Office 365 plan. Is there a migration tool available from Microsoft, or a manual
migration guide? We have searched for info online and can only find 3rd party tools that provide this function that are very pricey for such a small company.
Are we stuck doing this manually or is there a way?
    Steve

For the migrating from CRM on premise to online has two parts:
    1.Customization
You can export the total solution as following:
    Go to Settings->Customization->Export Solution
Click Next->Choose what you want to export.
    Click Next to export.
Then you can go to another CRM Online instance, go to Settings->Solutions->Import solution.
    2. Data
For the out of box function of CRM 2011 Online, we does not support all data export one time. But we support all data export for one entity one time as following:
Let us take example that you want to export data for Account and Contact record types.
    1. Create a view of all fields for the record type Account.
    a. Go to accounts Grid and click on Create personal view
Click Edit Columns in the dialog that pops up and then click Add Columns.
Click the checkbox in the header to select all columns. (This will export data for all columns, some of which may not be importable)
Click ‘ok’ and then Click ‘Save’ on the Ribbon in Advanced find dialog. It will prompt you for name of the view .Provide the name for the view.
    2. Navigate to view (Account) and Export the data in Static Excel format.
    a) Go to Accounts Grid.
    b) Navigate to Accounts view.
    c) Click Export to Excel.
    d) Select “Static worksheet with records from all pages in current view”.
    e) Click Export and save the file. (Account.xls)(The records that are exported will be based on the record for which you had privileges).
    f) Save the file in CSV /XML format from Excel. (Account.csv)

  • Need to export data from reporting server to SharePoint List

I have built a rudimentary dashboard using Excel and PowerPivot Gallery on SharePoint 2010.  I successfully exported the first dataset to a SharePoint List that I can access from my dashhboard, making it fairly portable. (Whoop!)  I've also found
that I can create a bunch of new lists.  But I have not figured out how to update these lists daily.
The most critical is an existing Odata connection:
DataFeed_2_teams-company-com IMData.  I am trying to update that list from the new report (.xls format).  After saving it as .xlsx then closing and reopening, Odata and the existing connection are now enabled.  But when I try to connect,
Excel tells me, "We can't use the data from this feed.  Make sure the external data feed server is available and that your connection information is correct."  The connection is available and I'm using the "authenticated user's account".
I really don't mind if the data is deleted every day.
    Any ideas?
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Another thing I've tried is exporting the data through the Table menu.  But since the list already exists, I can't do anything with it.
    Adios, Clay Harryman

    Hi,
Do you have your Odata connection stored in a sharepoint list zo you can reference to that point?

  • Migrating from Moss 2007 to SharePoint 2013

I am reaching out here as we require some inputs around migrating the SharePoint based application from MOSS 2007 to 2013.Please find more details from below
    Requirement:
Migrating SharePoint site collection (which contains just 1 Top level site and 2 libraries with in it and no item level/library level permissions exists) which is on MOSS 2007 with size of 500GB to SharePoint 2013, hence we like to know your inputs in related
    to this
    Note:
    1) The site collection has its own separate content database
    2) There are nearly 200 thousand documents where the document with higher version is 90
    3) The documents are stored in the libraries with up to third level of folder structure
    4) The site collection is created based on custom site definition (created using visual studio)
Few things that I like to mention/ask here
    a) Having 500GB data in one single content database inj the MOSS 2007 environment does it impacts the site performance?
    b) Migrating the site collection as is  onto single content database (all 500 GB into one content database) into destination SharePoint 2013, does it will be a good practice? Hope SharePoint 2013 content database limit is 200 GB, hence moving 500GB
as is into one database will it be good practice?
    c) Does database attach and detach works for the databases which are of size 500GB?
    d) Can we do database attach and detach directly from MOSS 2007 to directly onto SharePoint 2013, without hopping onto SharePoint 2010 in between and then later to SharePoint 2013?
    e) If moving 500GB data into one content database will not be a good approach, can we split it onto multiple databases?
    f) If database attach and detach doesn’t help for databases which are of size 500GB, should we go for any tool based approach? If yes, which tool does best fit?

    a) Having 500GB data in one single content database inj the MOSS 2007 environment does it impacts
    the site performance?
Inder: Yes, it will impact site performance at large extended, recommended is 200 gb only. Check it IO of your disk to analyze performance issue
    b) Migrating the site collection as is  onto single content database (all 500 GB into one content
database) into destination SharePoint 2013, does it will be a good practice? Hope SharePoint 2013 content database limit is 200 GB, hence moving 500GB as is into one database will it be good practice?
    Inder:
Content database size (all usage scenarios)
    4 TB per content database
    Supported
Content databases of up to 4 TB are supported when the following requirements are met:
Disk sub-system performance of 0.25 IOPs per GB. 2 IOPs per GB is recommended for optimal performance.
You must have developed plans for high availability, disaster recovery, future capacity, and performance testing.

    c) Does database attach and detach works for the databases which are of size 500GB?
    Inder: Yes it does work
    d) Can we do database attach and detach directly from MOSS 2007 to directly onto SharePoint 2013, without
hopping onto SharePoint 2010 in between and then later to SharePoint 2013?

    e) If moving 500GB data into one content database will not be a good approach, can we split it onto

  • How to retrieve full flash solution from WSP if not than how to retrieve ascx files from Template folder in SharePoint 2013 ?

How to retrieve ascx file from the Template folder in SharePoint2013
My issue is, I have WSP only so I changed into zip and got my all web parts and also one dll file after that decrypted dll and got some C# code
mixing with some system generated code but not ascx file that is for front-end part. So my question is how we can retrieve full flash solution if not, at least ascx files So if we were on SharePoint 2010 we could have got those file from __Template__
folder but It’s on SharePoint 2013 and not able to get ascx.
If we can do so, than will be easy to get the task to be done
Suggestions would highly be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Amit,
you can not move specific changes from Dev to production.
but you can follow this process to make your workflow as it is as in Dev:
Create a new workflow on the new list in Product.
Create at least one step, one condition and one action in this workflow.
    1. In Dev server open your .xomal file as XML and copy the entire contents.
2.In Production server Open your .xoml file as XML and Paste the entire contents
    3. repeat this operation for the xoml.rules file

  • Fetching workflow status from Extended Properties in SharePoint 2013 sequential workflow (Farm solutions) option

    HI,
I am using VS 2012, I have selected the option "sharepoint sequential workflow (Farm solution) option and not the workflow App model.
Earlier in SharePoint 2010, the approver status column can be got from ExtendedProperties["TaskStatus"] and which contained either "#" or "@" as its value.
However, in SharePoint 2013, the ExtendedProperties does not contain the "TaskStatus" key. In the quickwatch, i was able to see the value as "#" associated to some guid key. In the debug mode,i can see the below:
    (new System.Collections.Hashtable.HashtableDebugView(TaskPropertiesForManagerAfter.ExtendedProperties)).Items[12]
But I’m not sure how to get to it from the code?
How to retrieve the Task Status using ExtendedProperties in SharePoint 2013?
    Thanks

Having problems getting SPD 2013 installed on my laptop because of a trial of O365, but I know in SPD 2010 you could find the BCC fields, etc... in the Advanced properties, it wasn't directly available via the common interface.  I know 2013 is very
different from 2010, and if I can get it to install correctly, I will update, but look for an advanced property, or an XML view where you can find the FROM: field.
