Hello Geri,<BR><BR>Currently, Planning 3.5.1 does not have any utility to export security out of planning. <BR><BR>What you can do is this that generated PDF files through the application itself and then convert it in to text files and so on to load security via importsecurity.exe. <BR><BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Scorpio<BR><BR><BR><BR>

SSIS to Export data from SQL to flat file dynamically
Hi.
I hope somebody can help me out, I have a table like this:
Date, StoreNumber, ProductCode, SalesItem, SalesAmout, Inventory
09-10-2014,10,1,10,10,30
As you can see I have a Date field and my table has information from 2014 at daily basis, What I'm trying to do is to export the information of this table to flat files, creating one file pear each date, as a result I will have about 280 files (one per date)
I do not know if it is possible or not.
Thank you.Hi Mike,
you can do it using one Execute SQL Task and a ForEach Loop variable driven.
1st the Execute SQL Task "figures out" how many iterations the loop would need. The SQL as follows would drive it:
SELECT DISTINCT [DATE] FROM MyTable;
and you get the dates placed into a package variable of type recordset for the [280] files.
And then you can operate on the recordset in the loop "shredding it" in a DFT with a source query dynamically driven by the date as "select a,b,c from mytable where date = '" + @[User::CurentDate] + "'" placing each
"date" into its own file even naming the file after the date using the current value of the package variable (ADO row concept).
See an example: http://www.sqlis.com/sqlis/post/Shredding-a-Recordset.aspx

How to export data from DB to flat file with ODI?
we want to export DB2 tables to flat files.
Who can tell me how to do it with ODI?
Please give me a simple example or steps.
Thank you.There are two ways
Either use IKM Sql to File Append

OdiSqlUnload
For OdiSqlUnload you can use this technique to provide the connection parameters - http://odiexperts.com/?p=1985 -
How to create the Export Data and Import Data using flat file interface
Hi,
Request to let me know based on the requirement below on how to export and import data using flat file interface.....
Please provide the steps involved for the same.......
BW/BI - Recovery Process for SNP data.
For each SNP InfoProvider,
create:
1) Export Data:
1.a) Create an export data source, InfoPackage, comm structure, etc. necessary to create an ASCII fixed length flat file on the XI
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Out folder for each SNP InfoProvider.
1.b) All fields in each InfoProvider should be exported and included in the flat file.
1.c) A process chain should be created for each InfoProvider with a start event.
1.d) If the file exists on the target drive it should be overwritten.
1.e) The exported data file name should include the InfoProvider technical name.
1.f) Include APO Planning Version, Date of Planning Run, APO Location, Calendar Year/Month, Material and BW Plant as selection criteria.
2) Import Data:
2.a) Create a flat file source system InfoPackage, comm structure, etc. necessary to import ASCII fixed length flat files from the XI
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Out folder for each SNP InfoProvider.
2.b) All fields for each InfoProvider should be mapped and imported from the flat file.
2.c) A process chain should be created for each InfoProvider with a start event.
2.d) The file should be archived in the
ctnhsappdata\iface\SCPI063\Archive directory. Each file name should have the date appended in YYYYMMDD format. Each file should be deleted from the \Out directory after it is archived.
Thanks in advance.
TysonHere's some info on working with plists:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/PropertyLists/Introduc tion/chapter1_section1.html
They can be edited with any text editor. Xcode provides a graphical editor for them - make sure to use the .plist extension so Xcode will recognize it. -
Exporting Secured PDF from indesign using apple script
hi there, this is my first go at scripting,
basically what i am trying to do is:
tell indesign to turn on a layer called "proof" in the active document
then export pdf - set pdf preference to smallest file size, all pages, and secure the file WITH A PASSWORD so that it can be opened but not edited (unless by someone at my agency who knows this password). this easy enough to manually, but im sick of typing out a password everytime i save a proof.
then save to a specific folder on the desktop, using the already existing filename - so 'myfile.pdf'
the code below gives me this message "
error "Can’t make name of PDF export preferences into type Unicode text." number -1700 from name of «class DFpf» to Unicode text
could someone please help me word this properly? I tried first referring to a pdf preset instead of setting all the values ie set color bitmap etc but i couldnt get the password to work,
here is what i have so far, written from snippets that other people have tried:
tell application "Adobe InDesign CS4"
tell active document
try
set visible of layer "PROOF" to false
end try
set docName to name
set baseName to text item 1 of docName
set ASTID to AppleScript's text item delimiters

Errors extracting from Essbase to flat file
New to ODI, I have the environment working - so I think
Using ODI 11.1.1.6.0 Studio, no web services, just the studio.
Essbase 9.3.3 is source
Target is flat file on C:\ drive of PC
PC is Windows 7, 32 bit
running an interface to extract from Essbase outline (metadata) to a flat file (csv) the integration step (4) "Extract Metadata" fails. The first 3 steps are sucessful (drop work table, create work table, begin essbase metadata extract).
The error messages in the 4th step are:

Only the file name being written to in the Target exists, it is updated with the column headings:
C1_SORTID,C2_PARENTNAME,C3_MEMBERNAME,C4_ALIAS,C5_DATASTORAGE,C6_TWOPASSCALC,C7_CONSOLIDATION,C8_UDA,C9_FORMULA,C10_COMMENT
There are no other files in the the Target flat file folder
I did have to add a primary key to the target datastore, added as PK_Sortid on the "SortID" column in order to get the flow to run. The LKM used is "LKM Hyperion Essbase METADATA to SQL.GLOBAL", the CKM is "CKM SQL.GLOBAL" ( the only one showing from the drop down).
I don't know what else to check or change.
thanksI think I saw somewhere in your post that Staging different from target is NOT checked, probably why you are getting lots of 'loading to staging area errors'. Your staging area has to be able to support relational operations i.e a relational database such as SQL Server or Oracle or the SUNOPSIS Memory Engine. In your interface make sure you check the staging differnet from target and for example select the SUNOPSIS Memory Engine as your staging area. Resave the interfece and re-run.

How to send an iDoc from XI to flat file
hi,
I have send an IDoc from R/3 to XI.The iDoc is being received by XI.Now,I need to send this iDoc to Flat file.
For this,What i need to do?
can any body help me step by step in this regard..........
Thanx in advance..
Sridhar Raju MahaliHi Sridhar,
Hope you are clear with the XI portion.
Now for sending the data from IDOC to XI follow these steps...
1.create an RFC destination pointing to <i>XI server</i> in the Business System where IDOC is present, using transaction sm59
2.create a tRFC port in the same Business System using transaction we21
3.create a logical system name using transaction bd54
4.then create a partner profile using transaction we20
5.Now log on to the Business System where IDOC is created.
6.go to we19..execute the idoc and give standard outbound processing on
7.on the values given click and give the sender and recipeint port and partner name and type..
Hope this will help you...

Extraction of procedure from DB to flat file
I have recently moved from using Informix to Oracle and I am trying to find a way to extract a procedure from the Oracle database to a flat file on my system. Informix has utility dbschema which allowed me to do that, what does Oracle have that can do the same thing.
Thanks,
Bret.Bret,
You can do the same using SQL*PLUS. To output a stored procedure, function or package to a flat file, you will have to query the user_source view. You need to know the procedure name.
These are the steps:
1) Log in to SQL*PLUS
2) Issue the following statement:
SET HEADING OFF
SET FEEDBACK OFF
spool file_name
SELECT text from user_source

How to Export Security Filters from ASO
Hi everyone,
I would like to export the security filters from our reporting application which is ASO. Through my research I have struggled to find a good method for doing this. I ran the Display Filter MAXL script to produce an output but the output cannot be manipulated for use.
Does anyone have a good way extract these filters?
Please and thank you in advance for any advice you may have!
JohnYou could have a look at the advanced security manager which is a free tool - http://www.appliedolap.com/free-tools/advanced-security-manager
There is also the option at look at using one of the API's
I would say LCM but I don't think that extracts it in a format that then can be manipulated.
Cheers
John

ESB not moving data from database to flat file
Using ESB, created an database adapter/routing service (polling for changed records) & file adapter to write all records from a database table to a flat file as a series of XML entries in the file. I only get the last record from the database into the flat file. Using JDev 10.1.3.2 and SOA Suite 10.1.3. Have a 'status' column in the source database table that is set to 'PROCESSED' when the record has been processed. After I get the one XML element, representing the last record in the database, I look at the database table and ALL rows have their 'status' column set to PROCESSED - the field was null before the database table was processed.
How do I get ALL of the records into the flat file?
Thanks - CaseyHi.

How can I change from JDBC to flat files
I have an application setup that runs on MySQL using JDBC. But, I'm having problem with the database(ConnectorJ to be exact). I just want check the functionality of this application. Can I use a flat file as opposed to the DB? How can I possibly do this?
The text driver supports a very simple SQL. Inserts, deletes are allowed. Not sure about updates. Joins on tables are not.
Of course it will still require a connection string. -
How can I export Faces info from one library to another?
How can I export direct from one Library to another? Currently I am exporting to desktop and then importing to alternative Library. This works including file name and description. However Faces info is lost. How can I retain Faces info?
It is not possible to "export" face information - there is no defined place to put it
You can use iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - to move photos between libraries including the full metadata

Exporting site info from CS3 to CS4
How do I export my "remote info" under "manage sites" from CS3 to CS4? I have about 30 sites under "manage sites" and would hate to have to dig up all the passwords after the upgrade. I used the "export" button in CS3, but it didn't bring in the remote info.
1. In CS3, open Site Manager
2. Select the sites you want to Export
3. Click Export and select a KNOWN location into which to write the *.ste files
4. Open CS4.
5. Open Site Manager
6. Click IMPORT, browse to and select the site files you just exported and click OK.
Such fundamental questions as this are always answered in DW's F1 Help. You'd have been done an hour ago if you had looked there.
