Export table fr different server

hi all,
my company have 2 servers.
how i can export table fr server 1 to server 2.
tks in advance.

many things:
1. you can use dblink:
2. you can use exp command on dos prompt to export a table from that server and make a dmp file and imp in the server where you want it to be.
3. create a text file from the source database for the table and run sql loader to insert those records into your target table.

  • How to export tables from development server to production server

    HI,
Any body plz let me know how to export tables from development server to production server. what are the user names and password i need to ask my manager to do that. what are the requirements i need to ask him.
    Plz reply me ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi buddy
first of all you should let us know the environment of production and development servers
    database versions
and you need to have userid which has privilege to export tables of other schema. userid(owner) of the tables you want to export.
    Traditional way
export tables in development server and then ftp to production and then import
in the above case you should have similar database structure(tablespace etc) to avoid errors...
if there are few tables only , you can use dblink instead of export and import...

  • Compare two tables on different server without using Linked Servers

I have an SSIS package that needs to compare a table to another table on another server.  Then only delete data from the first table if it exists in the second table.
I know this is possible with Linked Servers but we are doing away with them in my company.  Is there a way inside of SSIS to do this?
Oh and I can't use a Data Flow since I don't know the table names or columns at run time (the whole package is dynamic) so I can't map the columns ahead of time.
So no MERGE JOIN unless it can be used outside of a Data Flow.

You 'll have to use the Data Flow Transformation, thing is, given the constraints, your only option seems to be in generating the package programmatically (using code).
The type of a program would be a Windows Console. The program would expect a few parameters as the source and target tables along with any necessary connection parameters.
Then use the merge join (being the easiest to code in) in an Execute SQL Task component.
    Examples of coding packages:
Samples for creating SSIS packages programmatically
PS: I can tell you, given your circumstances, at the very minimum the impact on the bottom line of your company is brittle apps accompanied with expensive maintenance which translates into reduced ROI from your tooling.

The package is table driven and is a dynamic archival process.  The end user just fills in the framework table and the package archives data from within a certain time range.  The table can exist on any server, any database.
That part is done.  The part that still needs to be accomplished is to delete data out of the base table since it is archived.  I need a safe way of doing this and so thought to compare the archive table against the base table.  Because they
can exist anywhere and can have any name I am not sure how to do this without Linked Servers.  That being said we will not have Linked Servers for this.
Is there another safe way to delete data out of the base table?

  • How to connect two different tables from different server?

    Dear all expert,
I need to develop a report where i need to connect 2 different tables from 2 different servers. For examples:
BUT000 tables from CRM and KNKK from R3.
Is it possible to do so? Because i try to link these 2 tables together and when i preview the report, it run very slow and sometime it hang. I did not get any result.
    Thank You.

Moved to SAP Integration kit forum
Appears you are using SAP data sources.
And yes you can but the linked field types must match and be able to be converted into the WHERE portion of the SQL. Click on Database, Show SQL... and see if there is one. If not CR can't figure out how to so it brings all data client side and filters on the second pass.
    Thank you

  • How to export tables on different condition

    HI,
i want to use export backup of my oracle 10g database, where i want to full export of some tables and some tables with
"QUERY" parameter.so how can i make this script where some table are full exported and some based on condition.
conditions defined in query paramter is diffrent for one table to another.
so if is it possible how can i do this ?
    thanks

    Hi,
Yes, this is possible. When you specify the query, you can do it 2 ways:
    query="where x=123"
    or
    query=scott.emp:"where x=123"
The first will be applied to all tables, the second will be applied to only scott.emp. You can have many queries like the second, but only 1 like the first.
    expdp user/password query="where x=123" query=scott.emp:"where name like 'Dean%'" query=user5.table6:"where salary>100000"
    would apply
"where name like 'Dean%" to scott.emp
    "where salary>100000" to user5.table6
"where x=123" to all other tables since no table was specified.
If you wanted all other table to use no query, then just make sure every query has a table name specified. They will be used for only those tables and all other tables won't use any query.
    Hope that helps

  • Is it possible to export level O data onto different server

<p>Hi</p><p>by default my level O export is getting stored in \app folder inthe server.</p><p>is it possible to export directly to a new server.</p><p>any input in this issue is higly appreciated.</p><p> </p><p>thanks and regards,</p><p>Balu</p>

If you want to export to a different server, you need to first make certain that your server mapping is correct and the realize that your default starting location for an export is the /app directory.<BR><BR>If I want to create a file <i>exportm.txt</i> the <i>database</i> directory, I give the export path as <i>appname\dbname\exportm.txt</i>.<BR><BR>In my experience doing an export to another server is problematical as MAXL doesn't always follow the filepath as structured in the documentation, at least in a windows environment. What I have had to do is try a filename, and then look at the error message to see what MAXL actually tried to pass to the server. In my experience, in windows, only the leading backslashes need to be escaped in most cases. so when the docs say to send a file to \\\\server\\folder\\filename.txt, I have found that only \\\\server\folder\filename.txt works. And I have not found any logic that guaratees another server's drive can be accessed unless it is mapped as a drive on the sending server. But some of this migh be due to our creative network implementation.<BR><BR>So I normally export to the dbdirectory, then issue a shell command to copy to the target server, either as a shell command in MAXL or in the .cmd file that calls the MAXL.<BR><BR>The other thing that can speed up exports is to use multiple export files allowing a parallel export.

    Hello Experts,
I need a detailed doc on how to move the fact and dimension tables to different server's.Please help me out from this
           Thanks in advance....

You still haven't told anyone what products besides Essbase you are using, without which this is an impossible question to answer.

    https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2585171
Are you connecting to these tables from Essbase with a load rule / ODBC?  Using Studio?  Using Integration Services?  Any Drill-Through reporting set up?
This may sound harsh, but if you truly don't know how to answer any of these questions you should probably not be anywhere near this task...

  • Unable to export table into oracle 9i

    Hi all
While exporting tables from SQL Server 2000 using DTS Export, after successfully exporting tables into oracle9i in Windows, now I am getting following error.
    [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01740:missing double quote in identifier
Any suggestions to resolve the problem.
    Regards
    Vijay Kumar

    Hi,
My objective is to port data from legacy database in SQL Server to oracle database
After 10 tables if you are getting the Error means you can trace out the problem.
When you go for SQL Server 2000 DTS, you can find from Diagramatic Representation that the process is going on.
I mean if process of porting or transfer of data is happened successfully then you can see the GREEN Color for the process if completed from one table to another.
So check the Error for which table you are facing this error.
Then, check the Column mappings between the table.
If there is any data with single quote then you need append single quote before that other wise you will face this issue.
The problem is there is some data in your SQL Server table with single quote.that's why ORACLE is raising and issue.
Check the data in the table (SQL Server database).
    Thanks

  • How to Import/Export database tables from one server to other in oracle8i

    Hello friend,
Please can any one tell me how to import/export groups of database tables from one server with oracle to another using VB.net. It would be nice if some one can provide some code of it.
I am a software developer and I am in middle of a large project development, in which I need to export a large oracle database from one server to another efficiently.
Its very urgent so please someone help me.

    At command prompt (source db)
    set ORACLE_SID=db_name
    exp system/password@db_name full=y buffer=104857600 file=(c:\file1.dmp, c:\file2.dmp....) log=c:\exp.log filesize=2000M
Then ftp the export dump files (in binary) to the other server or copy to target server over the network.
    At command prompt (target db)
    set ORACLE_SID=db_name
    imp system/password@db_name full=y ignore=y buffer=104857600 file=(c:\file1.dmp, c:\file2.dmp....) log=c:\imp.log filesize=2000M
If the path names of the datafiles are going to be different in the target server (as compared to the source), then precreate the tablespaces before import. Set buffer value accordingly.

  • Import data from few tables and export into the same tables on different db

I want to import data from few tables and export into the same tables on different database. But on the target database, additional columns have been added
to the same tables. how can i do the import?
Its urgent can anyone please help me do this?
    Thanks.

    Hello Junior DBA,
maybe try it with the "copy command".
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/server.101/b12170/apb.htm
Have a look at the section "Understanding COPY Command Syntax".
Here is an example of a COPY command that copies only two columns from the source table, and copies only those rows in which the value of DEPARTMENT_ID is 30:Regards

  • Create a table in SQL Server, Export tables from Microsoft Excel to Microsoft SQL Server, Populate the created table

    Hello team,
I have a project that I need to do, what is the best approach for each step?
1- I have to create a table in Microsoft SQL Server.
2- I have to import data/ tables from Microsoft Excel or Access to Microsoft SQL Server. Should I use Microsoft Visual Studio to move data from Excel or Access?
3-I should populate the created table with the data from the exported data.
4-How should I add the second and third imported table to the first table? Should I use union query?
After I learn these, I will bring up the code to make sure what I do is right.
    Thanks for all,

  • How to restore a single table from a DP Export from a different schema?

    Environment:
    Oracle 11.2.0.3 EE on Solaris
I was looking at the documentation on DP Import trying to find the correct syntax to import a single table from a DP Export of a different schema.
So, I want to load table USER1.TABLE1 into USER2.TABLE1 from a DP Export.
    Looking at the REMAP_TABLE options:
    REMAP_TABLE=[schema.]old_tablename[.partition]:new_tablename
    OR
REMAP_TABLE=[schema.]old_tablename[:partition]:new_tablenameI can't see where to specify the target schema name. The examples had the new table name residing in the same schema with just a new name.
I looked at the REMAP_SCHEMA but the docs say that will import the entire schema into the new schema and I only want one (1) table.
    Any suggestions are most welcome!
    -gary

I thought I tried that combination and it seemed to me that the REMAP_SCHEMA somehow over-rode the TABLES= parameter >and started loading all the objects. If it does fail (and it should not) then please post the details here and I will try to see what is happening.
Let me get back into the sandbox and try it again. I admit I was in a bit of a hurry when I did it the first time.We are all in a hurry, no worries. If it fails, please post the details and the log file.
Does it make any sense that one parameter would override another? No, this should never happen. We have tons of checks to make sure the job can't have multiple meanings. For example, you can't say
full=y schemas=foo --- Which do you want, a full export or a list of schema exports, etc.
Your suggestion was the first thing I thought would work. This should work. If not, please post the log file with the command and the results.

Thanks again for the help and stay tuned for my new attempt.

  • Export internal table to application server

    hello all!
i would like to export the contents of an internal table to the appliation server. i tried via OPEN DATASET, but my itab contains not only character type data.
i do not want to copy all content into a parallel structure with all character type colums
do you know a way to export an internal table on application server, in a way that it is readable by ms excel?
    thanks!

Hi Matthias, i think that the only solution is using a parallel structure with all character type colums.  Also use 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_CSV_FORMAT' to convert the internal table to csv format in order to be readable by ms excel.
