Export the dashboard

Is it possible to export the dashboard e.g. aging analysis into excel and ppt file ? Pls advice. TIA

Basically yes and not. You cannot export from B1. But If you have an xcelsius application (which is used for development) possible to export it.
to do:
1. open the source file in xcelsius
2. replace in data sources the /proc with the server full address (B1i)
3. do preview (to test)
4. export it to Word/PPT/PDF,
Please note in this case the dashboard will run from ppt, pdf, etc, or a sample web browser.
By the way, in this case you have to do the authentication manually.... (en-USDBNAMEUSERNAME)
You can find the source of dashboards at in the SBO-SWCenter at B1i 8.8 download materials.

There is no direct option, you can try the following workaround.
Page Option -> Print -> Printable Html
Then File -> Save Page as
Choos Save as type as -> All files
File name as Report.xls
When you Open the xls file, if you get a pop up saying problem during load just omit it and proceed.
The report will open in excel.
Or save the page as html /mht and open it with Excel, this also will work.
Note: I have tested this in Mozilla

OBIEE Report Export from Dashboard to Excel doesn't suppress the columns as expected even after the properties are set to Suppress in the report. In Dashboard it is suppressed Properly but in the excel export it is not suppressed and values for the columns are repeated.
Added the following to the instanceconfig :

<DataValue>UseFormattedValue</DataValue>
<RepeatRows>false</RepeatRows>
</Export>
</Download>
But then could not restart services.The following error occured :

Error when changing the color of the dashboard and exporting to PowerPoint

Dear All,
I have been facing an issue with exporting my dashboard to PowerPoint.
I did a first version of the dashboard, exported to PowerPoint and sent to a client. All worked fine and the client could open and customize the dashboard. After that, I was asked to change the color of all lines and backgrounds of the dashboard, so that it would fit the product colors we are working with.
After this color change, the client cannot open the PowerPoint with the dashboard anymore because an error message appears saying that "Microsoft PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Some more details about the error are: AppName: powerpnt.exe; AppVer: 10.0.6842.0; ModName: ntdll.dll; ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180; Offset: 00010f29.
Any thoughts about what might be happening?
I'm working with Office 2007 and Xcelsius 2008 but I'm saving the ppt in the previous version because the client is working with Office 2003.

If you have the clip in your viewer window
to change the speed it is in themotion tab.
I also use the right click alot and run in to this problem.
You could just pull the clip to the end of your timeline,
adjust the speed,
then place the clip back where you want it.
But that is not an efficent work flow

You can create report using catalog manager:
1. Open catalog in Online mode.
2. Select shared folder & then click on Tool-> create report.
3. For report name -> select Analysis from drop down list & move "Name" in right pane(or whatever detail u want, u can select from list).
4. For Dashboard -> select Dashboard from drop down list & then move name in right pane.
5. Click OK & save report.

Efficiency isn't a value that is standard in Project Server 2010, and so it is likely that what you are viewing is a custom report. I suggest you contact the report author to resolve this issue.

Export a dashboard table with content to pdf

Hey,
I have an dashboard table which I call over an URL in HTML. The content of the html file inserts an SWF file. And now I want to add in this SWF file an export button so the user can export the whole SWF file to an pdf file. Is there an completed solution for this export?

Hi, I mean the table has been time enabled with the procedure DBMS_WM.EnableVersioning and TRUE for the parameter VALID_TIME.
-- Version-enable the table. Specify TRUE for valid time support.
EXECUTE DBMS_WM.EnableVersioning ('employees', 'VIEW_WO_OVERWRITE', FALSE, TRUE);
Following the Workspace Manager Developer's Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2) it could be possible export the table using the Export procedure:
EXECUTE DBMS_WM.Export(table_name => 'employees', staging_table =>'employees_TEMP', workspace => 'LIVE');
but I am getting the error:
ORA-20171: WM error: Export not supported on a table with valid time.

iPhone doesn't support flash application with firmware 2.2.1, I don't know if it will work with firmware 3.0, and xcelsius shows the dahsboard as flash.
So I think you should find a program to view flash in iPhone.

PowerView - Export the data selected via the data visulisations

Hi Everyone,
EXCEL 2013 with a linked SQL data source on Windows7 used to create a powerview dashboard.
Problem.
1. Created a PowerView Dashboard.
2. Business selects and slices the data
3. But, then how do we export the sliced data without having to slice the actual excel source table using the same criteria that was applied to the slicers?

Yes ChristianBerg is right,You can achieve this in latest Version ( 11.1.1.7).

Exporting Xcelsius dashboard to PDF in landscape mode

This same question was posted over a year ago and one of the 'official' replies was that the feature was added to the request list and was going to be implemented some time in the future. I was just curious if there have been any developments on this and thus, if it's now possible to export a dashboard from Crystal Xcelsius into a PDF in landscape form.

I had the same problem but have only found a temporary fix.
In Adobe Acrobat, go to Document -> Rotate Page.
Rotate by 90 degrees in either direction (doesn't matter which way)
You will now notice why I call this temporary - you will have large blank margins above and below the dashboard even if you did not include any when exporting.

RUEI: Unique User Count in the Dashboard?

Would you happen to know how I could simply add how many unique user ID's were in our system within a 24 hour period? I just need to find a count of them to add to the dashboard. Any ideas?

RUEI offers a reporing framework which can list you the unique userid which logged into your system.? It has to be custom report but it can be exported in any format.
How ID gets identified is restricted to way you identify usernames in the ruei configuration.

How can I export a group email address to a .csv file. I can export the whole address book but it looses the group listings.

I have an address book in Thunderbird and want to export one group listing to a .csv file. I couldn't find a way of exporting one group so exported the whole address book then opened the .csv file and was going to remove the all addresses except the group but the group name was not in the file.
Is it possible to export the group listing.

Open Address Book, select the mailing list in the left pane, then Tools/Export, select csv (comma separated) format, name the file, click Save.

Using Powershell Script Run simple query in MS Access 2007 and export the results of query to Excel

I have a Access 2007 DB file and 2 Big tables inside that (bigger than the size that can be easily handled by MS Excel 2007).
My requirement is automate using powershell scripts the below things.
1. Create a SQL query in Access DB and save that in access DB
2. Run the saved query and export the result in excel sheet where I can create the charts and Pivots. Thanks in advance
