Export To Web feature not fully working under windows browsers

I have a real problem and I can't figure it out for the life of me. I have a .mov file. I used QuickTime Pro to "Export To Web", and selected desktop. It then gives me a nice, neat folder with all the files I need to upload to the web.
I uploaded the folder, and can view the movies fine using any browser on my Mac (firefox, safari, etc). I've not had any problems while on my Mac.
However, when I go to watch the same movies using Windows, using windows version of Safari, FireFox and Internet Explorer, sometimes the movies play, and sometimes I get a QuickTime logo with a questions mark, and I get a small error icon (yellow icon) at the bottom of my status bar.
If I refresh the page, the movie will play again.
Why could this be happening? I have all the code included within the HEAD tags as well as the QuickTime movie code that is created during the export. I don't know why it works under Mac but in Windows it gives problems.
Here is the link if anyone can look and see what the problem may be:
http://www.sacredstonehealing.com/DVD/00196727-DVD-001
The video is for my boss, and a couple people (who mostly use windows) have been complaining of the error. I was oblivious to it, as I never had the error using my Mac.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kyn- Yes, I got that same controller bar in the middle as well. Very strange. To answer your questions, for my Mac, I have "save movies in cache" checked, and 100MB cache. I don't know the settings for my Windows QuickTime.
I think I'm just going to end up using the export "Movie To QuickTime" and choose the "fast start" option. I've never had trouble with that for Windows. I will lose the nice "Click to Play" poster screen before the movie starts, but I can live with that.
I'll mess around with this a bit more and try different settings, but I'm gonna put up a new one using the "regular" "object", "embed" method code, and just use .mov. For the main poster, I can always insert an image at the front of the movie.
Thanks for your reply.

  • Image.getScaledInstance() does not always work under Windows Vista

    Hi:
I've run into some intermittent image scaling problems under Windows Vista (minus Aero effects) that I never experienced with the same program, same image(s), running same Java version under XP. The images I'm using are all JPEGs, and the problem appears to affect approx 1 out of 3 grayscale images (no color ones so far) w/o respect to size (ie: small ones can be problems while larger ones will work). Java -version shows 1.6.0_02-b06. I was wondering if anyone else out there has seen this, or can point out what I may be doing wrong. Sample code to duplicate follows.

That does indeed appear to be a bug. I looks like it's having problems with the alpha value in the color model, so a possible workaround would be to change the color model the image uses before scaling. This may entail creating a new BufferedImage and drawing the old image into it.

  • TS3038 Keyboard not fully working in Windows 8.1 Enterprise Installation

I installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise on iMac with Boot Camp v.5.1.  I have a wired apple keyboard that has a ten key pad.  The ten key works when I boot up in Mac OS Mavericks, but it does not work when I boot up in Windows.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Did you try pressing the num lock button when in windows? If not, I think it will just behave as arrow keys

  • Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard RF-BTKB2 not working under Windows 7 64 bit

Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard RF-BTKB2 not working under Windows 7 64 bit
Anyone had successs in this or another Bluetooth Keyboard after a bit of a struggle?  What did you do to get it working?  When I Add Device in Bluetooth it sees the keyboard but enlessly scans for it when I try to select and connect.  The Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse worked just fine.

My friend, i have both, the bluetooth mouse and keyboard here that your talking about. and the keyboard was a struggle to pair with the windows 7 64 bit.... i think i spent 2 days working with it. and i didnt try anything special, i just kept trying to pair
it, and unplugging the dongle and working with it... and after a while. it worked... Lately though, i have been looking into getting a wired mouse and keyboard becuase of the delays and sleep time i have with my current keyboard(rocketfish). supposidly there
is a way around the delays but it disables all the options on your keyboard. IE the media buttons, and web browsing features. and my mouse keeps dieing off too....
Also, after researching these products more, i found that alot of people experienced similar problems with them, Being delays and mouse failure. Even with fresh batteries and all. The products werent meant to be used long term(2-3 years) for extensive use...
I dont know about you but i thinki paid 100 bucks for the pair so thats only 25 bucks a year... Which is kinda silly considering i coulda got a better one that wont cough up on me.
If anyone reading this finds a good wireless keyboard that doesnt delay, and a mouth that doesnt delay...(my biggest concern). Please mention it. i am very interested in.

  • X230T camera does not work under windows 8

    Hi!
Is your camera working under Windows 8?
Mine is not. It used to work some time ago, but even then the driver was instable. Now, since a few weeks, it seems not to work at all anymore. Reinstalling the driver does not help.
This may ba a hardware or a software issue, that's why it is important for me to know if yours is working.
    Thanks!

As I wrote, I have tried to reinstall the driver without success.
It should be a hardware problem if you are able to run the camera perfectly. Are you using a 64- or 32-bit OS?
    Thanks!

  • Using Quicktime's "Export for Web" feature in iWeb?

    Greetings,
Does anyone know if this is possible within iWeb, that is, to use movies created using Quicktime's "Export to Web" feature, which really seems to deliver superior movie quality?
    Much appreciated,
    DaveB

Thanks, good stuff, though I'm still having a small problem with this. I'm getting a gray line around the top and left of my movie and the right side of the player is getting cut off. When I try to make the width larger, it just moves the gray line further to the left.
    Any ideas?

  • AC97 onboard sound DOES NOT WORK under Windows 2000

Just an FYI, the AC97 Audio on your MSI mainboard will not work under Windows 2000, for which the AC97 hardware is not certified. If you try to use it, your audio output will be intermittant at best and will crash your audio applications at worst. A maddening and disheartening problem for people like me who didn't realize the problem existed and spent many hours trying to getting it to go away.

    hiya -
I am have this trouble as well!
Are you useing professional, or Advaced server?
I have done EVERY kind of update... so dice.

  • QT Pro 7 Export to web is not the same with Snow Leopard?

Before updating to Snow Leopard, I would use the "Export to Web" feature in Quicktime Pro 7.  The desktop option would give me a small file size with a resolution of 853x496.  Why does it now give me a much larger file size at 1280x720?  This is slowing down my workflow, please advise.

    Hi b,
    Have you restarted yet?

    Hi,
Thanks for posting on forum. Windows Vista is not a supported platform for Adobe Premiere pro CS6 but, you can try the installation on Vista and check if it gets installed on it. Also, if it gets installed you might face further issues while using the product.

  • Will Photoshop 7.0 work under Windows 7?

Will Photoshop 7.0 work under Windows 7?

To get Photoshop 7.0 (or 7.0.1 in my case) to work under Windows 7 64-bit, I ran the CD's Autorun under Windows XP service pack 2 compatibility. I also set the same compatibility prefs in Win 7 for the setup.exe file in the Photoshop directory of the CD-ROM.
You'll possibly encounter an error about the scratch disk being full - this is because PS 7 fails to understand big hard drives (the huge free space number looks like an empty disk, it's kinda like a Y2K problem, since PS7 programmers or the API writers never imagined so much free space, I guess). In this case, two things are important:
You need a partition that's less than 1TB (not sure about the size, it's in another thread) for the scratch disk. I used my system's recovery partition (only 2GB free, however). Other advice I found was to create a scratch partition using Windows 7 partitioning. Maybe a USB key would work? Surely not very fast...
PS 7 will fail on startup with the "scratch disk full" error and exit. To get PS 7 to allow you to specify it, hold down CTRL and ALT when the program is launching. You'll be given a chance to indicate the partitions.

I don't know. If Apple put the capability into the video driver it will. If they did not put the capability into the video driver it won't.
You will probably get better information if you ask the question in the bootcamp forum. I stopped using bootcamp at least 2 years ago.
