Exporting animation

I have created a  character for animation in illustrator and saved each symbol nessesary as a movie clip.  After finally coming up with a decent animation everything seemed fine and exporting as a .swf looked great. When trying to export as a .gif however I get a singal non animated image. I've been looking for a simple answer to this problem such as Radtool converting a .swf or.avi to a gif and it give me a file not found error. I've attempted turning all of my symbols into graphics and I get a single image when I try to view it in flash  (ctrl + enter). I've tried saving it as a bitmap and batching in photoshop with more error. I've tried going into flashes publish setting and saving an animated gif. Every export format I choose seems to  give me a single non animated image except for .swf. I'm very new to the program and I really need a better understanding of what exactly im doing wrong. Any help is much appreciated.

Ok, the animation can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/?2vebo3vrfnob15s   this is just a quick animation before i start to construct an animated banner.  My friend whos making the actual website is having trouble importing a .swf animation and it just appears as a blank box. He wants to attempt other formats to see if he has more luck and this whole project is more or less a learning experience for the both of us. Aside from changing formats .swf works fantastic with my movieclip symbols and id also like to understand why exactly my project wont animate when I try to use only graphics. Allot of questions I know but I really appreciate the help.

  • Best Codec for exporting animations with alpha channel from FCP timeline

Whats the best codec for exporting animations (hopefully using loseless compression) that will retain alpha channel, and use the current sequence settings for fps and size?
Currently Im exporting image sequences, but I'd prefer a wrapper.. I don't know much about the 'Animation' export codec.. I did notice that set to current size had some funky value of 753x450 or something.. instead of my current project size of 1920x1080...
Anyhow.. Just seeing what others are doing..
basically Im reading out some titles that I'll end up dropping over video later.. but since they render out so slowly (**** lower 3rds is slow) Im trying to get a jump on the process..
    Tx..

PNG should do it. I think PNG is lossless (that's what they say, anyway). But realistically, if you use PNG, Animation, or JPG2000 set on highest quality, I'd dare you to tell a difference.
I use PNG because it's supposedly lossless, renders twice as fast as Animation in a FCP timeline, and is usually about half the size.
If you use "Export Using Quicktime Conversion", you will need to check all of the settings manually to make sure they match your sequence settings. This is always true, no matter what codec you use.
If that sounds risky, your other option is to go into your sequence settings and change the codec to the one you want to render to (this will probably turn your whole timeline red), and then choose Export -> Quicktime movie.

  • How to export animated gif with transparent background and glow effect?

I've been having issues lately with creating animated gifs in flash. I finally figured out a way to export a gif with a transparent background but I'm now having an issue with it again because I'm using a glow effect. When the gif is exported the glow effect changes into a very poor quality and becomes less of a glow and more like a solid color. I've even exported a png sequence from flash and put it into photoshop then created a gif from there but I'm still having the same issue. Is there anyway I can properly export this in gif form so the quality is the same as when I test it in flash?
I've provided an image of what my issue looks like and the settings (I've messed around with the settings and this is the best I can come up with) . This is in photoshop but the result is similar in flash. The left one is what it originally looks like and the right is what it will look like after exporting. As you can see as I said before the glow changes into more of a solid color kind of like a border. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

A GIF is limited to 256 colors while a glow effect likely wants to tie up thousands (let's just say 'lots') of variations of tone.

  • HELP TO EXPORT ANIMATED GIF AS QUICKTIME FILE

I have keynote 6.2 and have imported an animated gif file within my page presentation which also has a movie file and sound. When I export the file as a quicktime file, the final file does not show the animation at all, it is static?
I have tried different options when exporting as a mov and 4p4 file, neither makes any difference, can someone help please.
I am using the file to import into Imovie, where I am piecing everything together into a movie11.
    Thanks

Thanks for your prompt reply Gary, but the problem is how can I resolve this? Do I import another file type? Can I export to another format other than Quicktime. Someone mentioned changing the frame rate of the animation to either 25 or 30 frames a second, or does this not make a difference?

  • Adobe Flash CS6 won't Export Animated Gif or to Quicktime

  • Exporting Animated logo from AE cs6 into Premiere cs6

I have an animated logo that I would like to import into premiere cs6. When I exported it into premiere, it only imported the picture, not the background and animation along with the picture. What can I do export the logo in its entirety?

If your export does not show everything in your composition then you are looking at the wrong view in AE or you have set elements in your composition as guide layers. The only thing exported is the Active Camera view. There are also many ways to bring an AE animation into Premiere Pro. You can add the .aep to PPro and load the comp into the sequence, You can use Dynamic Link from inside the sequence to replace footage, or you can render to any one of about 10,000 different formats for use in PPro, only a very few of which are suitable for a production workflow. You have given us nothing to go on to solve your problem. If checking for guide layers and making sure that you created your comp using the Active camera view does not solve your problem then we need to know everything that is going on in your comp and exactly what your workflow is.

  • Rendering / Exporting Animation for FLASH

    Hello Friends,
Some time ago I made an animation in After Effects CS3 and either Rendered it or Exported it as an SWF. I then Imported it into my Library in my FLASH CS3 movie and all was terrific.
Although I have spent the last four days going through everything I can think of, I cannot for the life of me recall how I did this. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful to hear from you.
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hello Mylenium,
THank you very kindly for your tip.
This was one of the very firast things I tried.
Unfortuanely, I got the following prompt:
"Wildform Flix Exporter encountered a problem.
This version of Flix Exporter is not licensed to run under the current application."
I have not yet figured out what it means. Never saw it before. If you or anyone has any idea, I would be very grateful hearing from you.
I thank all who can lend some advice.

  • Seeking a way to export animation data as Mocha tracking data.

    Hello,
I am using an online program for customized video which accepts MochaAE corner pin data to track the custom elements. The catch is that the source video is a motion graphic animation which I created in After Effects, so tracking elements that I've already animated seems both time-consuming and less accurate. Ideally, I'd like to export the animation or corner pin data for these animated image layers directly out of After Effects, rather than tracking them separately.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

You will have to ask the mocha people. I'm sure there is some documentation on the internal data format somewhere and based on that you may be able to find a way to convert your animation suitably.

  • Exporting animated symbol to image sequence

    Hi guys!
I'm unable to export an animated symbol to image sequence properly because the symbol does not animate.
I created the tweens in multiple layers, then cut-pasted all layers to a new symbol. I did this so I could then just do some tween motions on the symbol.
The tweening is perfect, but when I export the image sequence, the images do not animate the way it does on the Flash player. All I get is an image sequence with the tweened symbol, but the symbol itself does not animate.
I'd really appreciate if you guys could give me a tip on how to get the symbol to animate when exporting the image sequence.
Alternatively, is there a way to motion-tween multiple layers simoultaneously? (Layers which are themselves tweened)
    Thank you guys!
Any additional info, I'll be checking regularly so I can provide as much description as possible to get this to work.

    Ok, I figured it out!
I changed the symbol type to "Graphic," and I was able to see the animation in the timeline. Easy!
Now I just exported the movie to png sequence, and bam! Magic!
If anyone has this problem, don't hesitate to ask me and I'll ellaborate on what I did.
    Thanks!

  • How can i export animations in html format?

i made some animations with indesign 5.5
Can i export these animations in html format?
    thanks

You can try to export your selected animations as Flash CS5 Professional format and then convert them to HTML5 animations with
-free flash plugin http://www.google.com/doubleclick/studio/swiffy/ (there´s online converter for testing)
-Flash Professional CS6 which can export HTML5
Then you can continue wotking with them in HTML5 editor like Edge....

  • Need help exporting animation to Wordpress (I've looked at all the tutorials I could find).

Alright, I've been working on a slide show animation for sometime now, but I need to export it to wordpress and I can't exactly understand how to do it correctly. I've even used the edge wordpress plugin, but it doesn't seem to work at all (I tried on two different sites, first seems to be a projram script error, the other site didn't upload anything). I've done a few of the tutorials floating around but none of them make sense to me, I don't know exaclty which parts of code to edit and in which clients to work them in. If someone could help make these five hours of confusion make sense for me that that would be amazing.
Where should I start on trying to get my animation to wordpress?

I've come with the same issue myself. I love Adobe Edge and i find it dead easy to make wonderful stuff there, though making it work in Wordpress has become a challenge. I followed the instructions in this video and in this guide and they seem to work only if you happen to use wordpress with a plain theme with no fancy jquery animations and functionality using these libs. I tried intergrating an Edge animation in my wordpress site, though because i happen to use a theme with a slider which uses jquery, when following the instructions step by step then neither the slider worked neither the edge animation itself. I found somewhere that you need to edit some .js libs using the noconflict mode though that did not work either (it was an example for joomla).
I tried installing the Edge Suite wordpress plugin which is still in developing stage. You need to export your Edge composition using the File > Publish tool found in edge in order to import the .aom files. Unfortunatelly no luck with that. I'm still looking for a solution in order to make animations for my website. I sent a tweet to Adobe Edge and they refered me to the support forums. Uhg!
I'm sure there's a workaorund using the .js libraries. Im not experienced with them so i'll have to wait for a solution to come about. I'm sorry for not helping though be sure to check the links above

  • How can I get perfect synch on exported animation video?

I use CS4 on Windows 7. I have a lot of RAM and a big CPU. And yet, I am having trouble getting the exported video from my animated cartoon FLA to match the good motion/synch on the SWF. The FLA is sized 1920x1080. I have been exporting it down to 640x480 with various export settings for video and sound. The product slows down the motion at early moments like a scene shift tween, while the sound moves along as scheduled. Simply put, I want my MOV file's animation to perfectly match that of the SWF.

I tried that with the first sound file. When I did, all the other sound files began playing prematurely on the SWF. Should change all of them to stream, then playback?

  • Problems exporting Animation codec from After Effects CS3 to FCP

    Hi,
I wonder if anybody can help: I am having troubles with video transfer from After effects CS3 to FCP 6
my workflow is to edit and export in FCP as quicktime movie - work on the clip in AE and then export as Animation/best quality/Millions of colors+. The footage is SD Pal 1024 x 576.
the problem is that the files don't seem to play back properly in quicktime - very jagged and lots of ghosting. I assume this is due to the memory heavy features of the codec.
However any file over 10 seconds will not be imported into FCP natively and a message reads final cut pro does not support this file type.
I overcame this by opening the clip in quicktime and then exporting again with exactly the same settings - this then reads in FCP - although this seems over the top
I now want to work with a 10 min finished comp in FCP but when I try to do this it picks up the ghosting that had appeared when playback in quicktime. However when rendered/ exported from the FCP timeline it retains the ghosting
in short I can burn a successful DVD of the footage as is from AE but it is not suitable to FCP.
I have tried exporting the clip in quicktime as quicktime DV pal but this retains the ghosting. Is this a hard ware problem or is my work flow wrong?
    thanks
    Paul

Converting from A to B means either a lossy conversion or a significant increase in storage requirements (up to 5x with DV as the starting point). You are best served with keeping conversions to a minimum.
    > cause this compressor doesn't like images
    What is that based on?
    > in several forums I have red that "automatik" inside of encore does often not work properly
This is in contradiction with the general feelings on this forum.

  • Export animation via Scripting

I need to export photoshop animation to my own format. Exporting as GIF image is not a solution. I need to access transformation details, change of opacity through the timeline in photoshop motion.
    How can I do this?
Can this be done using a plugin?
    Is it possible with scripting?

I need to access photoshop animation information. Exporting as GIF is not a solution. As an example think opacity of a layer is reduced with time. At frame 1, opacity is 100% and at frame 30 opacity becomes 60%. When we export this as an GIF, The animation will contain 30 pictures.
I need to access timeline information (Ex: At frame 1, opacity is 100% and at frame 30 opacity 60%) so I can export those data to my own format and render when I want.
