Exporting Layers to PNG files using each layer name to create the file name??

Hi All
I'm trying to sort the following problem and was hoping somebody here could help with a scripting solution - my knowledge extends as far as actions unfortunately - which I don't think is appropriate for this.
I've created a User interface in Illustrator with many layers and have exported this as a psd with layers.
Basically what i'm wanting to do is export every layer as a png file while using the layer name to create the file name - each layer needs to be clipped.
There is no transparency in the png.
I've run the export to files script - but the names are too long and there is no anti aliasing.
I've tried running a script from Illustrator - but it doesn't see sub layers - and doesn't name the layers.
any help would be appreciated.

File.exists() returning false eventhough in reality the file exists

Hi,
I am trying to create a PDF file using FDFMerge software.
For creating the PDF file, I need to execute a shell script from command-line, which I am doing using "Runtime.exec".
( I opted for this 'RunTime.exec' approach so as to read the output generated by the shell script.)
After executing the shell script and reading all the output generated by the process, I am trying to check if the PDF file exists in the location the process created.
When I do File.exists() its returning me "false" eventhough in reality the file exists.
Any guess, why this is happening?

My iWeb Account wont update it says Can't create the file "mwmac_white.png." The disk may be damaged or full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges... This has never happend I deleted other sources on website and still wont work? Suggestions?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
This is the image contained in the file causing the problem...
I certain the original is contained in the Combo updates and on the OS disks.
As a temporary fix, click on the image above to open it.
Use Screen capture (Shift+Command+4) and click on the opposite corners of the image.
It will be saved as a Screen shot 2011-mm-dd at hh:mm.png
Right click on the filename in Finder and rename it to mwmac_white.png
I'm not certain, but the file might need to be moved into the Documents directory in the Subdirectory named for the website name you are editing. That's where it is on my system, but I moved a bunch of files when I restored from Time Machine about 18 months ago.
I also have many copies of mwmac.png, a separate copy one for each web page where the image appears in my website.

Aperture put about 700 images in an untitled project folder, but all the images are the JPEGs. What am I missing?

Have you checked your "Import" settings for "Raw&Jpeg" pairs in the "Import" panel?
You can set Aperture to import raw, jpeg, or raw&jpeg.
If you imported Raw&Jpeg, but have set Aperture to use the Jpeg as original, you will see the imported image as Jpeg image, not as a raw image, even if the raw has also been imported. You can switch between Raw and Jpeg originals for selected images from the Photos menu:
Photos > Use Raw as original.

well, after a few tries I checked the point were it stoped uploading and I create a new page from scratch copying all images from scratch and it worked.
Idt does not work if you duplicate a page, you have to create a new one..possibly differentI.E. instead of MOVIE I chose the blog one.

Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents of the User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks or Yosemite go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

I have sent a file to the trash bin. When I come to empty the trash bin everything goes out except this one particular file and I get a note saying the file is 'in use' but it is not. How can I delete this file from trash?

I have tried returning the file to my documents, opening it, closing it and then sending it to trash and again I try to empty trash but the same message comes up - Q - How can I trash this file permanently?

First just try logging out and back in. Whatever is holding on to it may not be running after the logout thus freeing it so you can trash it after logging back in.
You might also try Trash It!

Backup with cloning software your HD to have an exact copy of it as it is.

I had this video file and I was trying to flip it to a format that would work with iMovie. It used to have the Quicktime image with it. So, I assume it was a QT file. But, somehow I've changed the file from a video to a folder.

Many users keep their iTunes libraries on external drives. You just have to remember to connect and power up the drive before launching iTunes.
