Exporting pdf from outlook 2007 wit adobe 9.2 standard

Suddenly we are unable to complete an export of a mail folder that has about 250 emails in it.  This worked fine last week.  The process gets to the point where it is indicating that it is creating an index for faster searching and then sits there.  It sat there for a little over an hour and appeared to make no progress.
So far I have seen no error messages.
We have tried different groups of email with the same result.
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance
Dwayne

With AA9.2, you can either update from the help menu in Acrobat (typically the fastest since these are cummulative) or go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. The link that was provided before is only if you have 9.4 or so. Most of these updates have to be installed in order. You should be able to wait until the last one is completed before you reboot.

    Hi,
You can import your contacts from your Outlook using iTunes. Connect yout iPhone / iPad to iTunes, then set sync contacts with outlook option. Then Sync your device.
Note: Your existing contacts may get replaced if you don't read the options carefully.
You can check out this website if you need more detailed information on this.

I just started a free trial of the Adobe XI product that allows me to create an editable PDF. I'm done creating the form and ready to export it. When I click Export PDF from the File menu, it says Adobe encountered an unexpected error. What am I doing wrong?

Good to know  — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
"Adobe" is the name of the company.
"XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have  an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
"Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.
So ---- As described the puzzle pieces don't fit eh.
What specific Adobe (the company) applications are you using?
Acrobat XI Pro? Adobe Reader XI? Both?
    Be well....

Adobe v9 on W7 and office 2007. cannot create PDF from MS word using Adobe. But can from Excel, PPT and other MS office apps. Reinslalled Adobe, updated Office, and Adobe no help! Also I can create a pdf from the MS Word and it is using the Adobe 9. So one would think that's good. No it isn't when you need to combine different files to one big PDF document. Any suggetions? Thank you

Yes, I’m saying that I can in WORD use “Save As ADOBE pdf” but cannot in ADOBE create a pdf file from a WORD (.doc or .docx) document. While I can from other MS Office apps like Excel and PowerPoint.
I understand I can use “work around” and save doc in WORD as pdf then compile all files needed (xml, ppt, pdf) in the ADOBE v9. to one big pdf document. But that is not the point of this post.

< Translate via Google Translate >
    Hi sguendjian,
Acrobat 7 is a very old software and we do not recommended using it along with the latest Adobe Reader 11.
It seems to me that the default pdf handler on your computer might be messed up.
If you have Reader Installed, go to the 'Edit' menu, select 'Preferences' > Select ' General' on the left side and on the Right pane at the bottom, click on 'Select Default PDF Handler'
Select Adobe Reader 11 from the list and Apply.
Now all the pdf's on the computer will be opened by Reader.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.1 no longer creates PDFs from Word 2007

I upgraded from Acrobat 7 to 9 specifically to gain more control over settings when making PDFs from Word 2007. This worked as I had hoped until the 9.1 vulnerability upgrade was installed. Now it will no longer create PDFs from Word 2007 documents at all.
From within Word 2007, when I click on "Create PDF" (whether in the Office menu or Acrobat toolbar) it asks for a file name, but after I click "Save" does nothing. This is true even for the simplest possible document, using the "Default" settings for PDF "Preferences."
If I right click the file name of the document in Windows Explorer, with Word 2007 closed, and click on "Convert to Adobe PDF" in the menu, it starts and the staus box comes up, but after a few seconds quits and displays "An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable produce the Adobe PDF."
I can still "Save As" PDF in Word 2007, but this gives me little control over the format.
Is there any way that I can get Acobat 9.1 to do what I bought it for, and what Adobe advertises it will do?

Try printing to the Adobe PDF printer, the more fundamental process (PDF Maker is a preprocessor for the printer). If that does not work, then try with print-to-file selected. Open the file in Distiller and see if the PDF is created. If the latter happens, then check for AcroTray running in the background. It is required to automate the process and is needed by PDF Maker.

  • Can't open PDFs from Outlook Access denied

We are trying to open PDFs from Outlook in Reader XI.  Even after disabling protected mode, continue to receive the message "There was an error opening this document.  Access denied.".  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    A. Fix One PC
    Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader X
    Go to: Edit > Preferences...
Click on "General" in the left pane.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
You will prompted with a dialog box to remind you to close the application for the change to go into effect. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
    Exit Adobe Reader
    B. Fix Several PCs in Your Organization
Following the above steps aren't practical if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on 1,000+ computers in 30 regional offices! Push this registry setting using your standard software deployment software.

  • Entourage 2008 - Importing from Outlook 2007 ???

Hi guys, just got a MacBook Pro this week and I had reserved a copy of Office 2008 which I got today.
It's great because that's what I was waiting for to put my PC on sale
BUT i was astonished to see that there's not the option to import pst files in Entourage ??
I was using Office 2007 for PC therefore Outlook 2007.
The only way we can export stuff is by creating .PST files, so you can backup all your contacts, your messages with attachements and your calendar (which are my 3 priorities).
Using the equivalent application from Microsoft but for the Mac, that is : Entourage 2008, there's not the option to import .pst ?? What the heck ??
So please guys if you know a way to export my stuff (messages, contacts and calendar) from Outlook 2007 PC to Entourage 2008 MAC, please let me know !!!
    THANK YOU !!

    Hey guys,
I don't want to be repeting by here's the way I worked this out :
    EMAILS
First I installed Thunderbird on my Win computer.
Then I imported from outlook. It took a while since my PST was like 3 Gb.
At first I was crashing it but then I let it work for a try and it imported everything perfectly, but not showing any progress bar during the process.
Second, I searched Thunderbird help for the way to export in MBOX, and it pointed out that I sould get a plug-in, which I did.
Third, having installed the plug-in, I had a tool menu for exporting. Only thing I had to do is select each folder one by one and export them using this plug-in, I only had to add .MBOX extention to every file.
Finally, when you get these files in OS X with entourage, you just drag and drop them in entourage and them import perfectly.
That did the job for me anyways.
    CONTACTS
Send yourself emails of contacts !
I sent myself email (with the WORK OFFLINE option so I wouldn't receive them in outlook) in the contacts from outlook.
As you can imagine, I totally got rid of Outlook, and of Windows actually, by now but as I remember it when you right click on a contact you have an item that's called something like "send full information of contact through email".
So to keep my categories I sent one email per categories.
Back in entourage, I had to save attachements, import them, put them in a category.
Then next email, etc. and so on.
    CALENDAR
I haven't found a way to do this but what I did was : In outlook you have a way to display your calendar events by a list, so I just made a couple of print screen of that list and I put the future events that I wanted to keep in Entourage.
    And the conclusion is :
Well I said byebye to Entourage because I don't need MS Exchange support and I hate Microsoft more and more everyday so I'm using Mail, Address Book and iCal now
But I could easily import from entourage into all of these.
The only microsoft apps I still are the must-have : word, excel and powerpoint 2008.

Why can't I seem to subscribe to Export PDF from outside N America? I'm using the Uk site...

    Hi Steve,
ExportPDF is definitely available in the United Kingdom. However, it's necessary that you have an Adobe ID, and credit card and billing address from the same country in which you're trying to purchase a subscription.
If you are using an email address (Adobe ID), and credit card/billing address from the United Kingdom, and are still unable to subscribe, please let us know and we'll take it from there. (And, if you're receiving an error message when you try to subscribe, let us know. That will help us figure out what's going wrong.)

  • Reader XI - Cannot open PDFs from Outlook:  Internal error occured.  Access is denied.

I have a user that when they try to open a PDF from Outlook they get two errors. An internal error occured, and Access is denied.  I HAVE tried everyone's solution of unchecking 'Enabled Protected Mode' in Adobe > Edit > Preferences...but, this has NOT worked. The user is currently running Windows XP and has Outlook 2010.  The attachments DO open if you save them to computer first, or if Adobe Reader is already open.  Please help.  Thank you.

"Internal Error Occurred" appears when .pdf is opened from Outlook 2010 email
I am absolutely pulling out my hair over this one!!
    PC/Win 7 64bit/Adobe XI/Office 2010
I have tried Uninstalling and re-installing
I have tried using an adobe software removal tool
I have tried modifying the security settings in reader
I've tried running repair on MS Office
If you open the .pdf from an email directly, it opens Reader with the error "Internal Error Occurred"
If you drag and drop the .pdf onto the desktop, and then open it, it opens.
If you open Adobe Reader FIRST, then open the .pdf from the email, it opens fine.
ONLY when you open a .pdf from an email with Adobe Reader closed (so Outlook is asking AR to open first, and then present the .pdf) is it behaving this way.
Hypothesis: Outlook 2010 does not like to open Adobe Reader.
SO....tell me all of you brilliant geniuses? How do I solve this puzzle and become an end user's hero?
