Exposing only certain methods inside the PAPI WS WSDL
When we hit then Launch PAPI Web Services button inside of Studio , it creates a PAPI WS WSDL . This WSDL contains all methods which are then exposed to be used.
Can we customize this WSDL? Can we expose only certain methods inside this WSDL and then create a Web-Service Client?
Can we create our own methods or change names of methods inside this WSDL?
For e.g. I want to expose only the activityExecute method and create a web service client out of that. I want to hide all other methods.. Can I do that?
Can this be done before creating that WSDL?
if you are using 5.7 the url would be:
http://localhost:9595/workspace/webservices/ProcessService?WSDL
and if you change the axis configuration file in the workspace you could enable SOAP/JMS in PAPI-WS, but it is not officially supported, so you are on your own.

RegardsSometimes this is caused by accidently setting "mouse keys" on by hitting the Option key 5 times.
Look in System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > Turn Mouse Keys off.

I just purchased an iphone 5. I would like to know how you delete only certain pictures from the photo library. You can delete from camera roll, but not photo library!! There are duplicate pics and ones that I don't even want on my phone.
Your photo library is a complete list of all photos on your phone, including the camera roll and any albums you've created.
Therefore it will always duplicate photos in your camera roll.

that ´s not difficult.
Open your Bus.Obj. in SWO1 with CHANGE/EDIT
Click on the "Methods" header line and then use the button for "Create".
If you want to add the method on basis of a function module, choose next in the next pop up. Then the system will offer you the ex/import parameter from the function module. So this is a really simple way.
If you don´t have a FM, it is a little bit more difficult.
Choose No on the quetion about a FM, fill in the next pop up methode name (no blanks allowed).
Dialogue is for user related method (call screen...) synchronous for methods which have to give back a result directly in to the workflow.
After completing the screen the method will be displayed as new method at the end of method list. Now add parameters (first click on the method name, then choose parameter button, same functionality to add program to the method).

How to create a byte[] as parameter for a Method inside the Controller
Hi Experts,
I want to create a method getCachedWebResource inside the component controller which has a parameter file which is of type byte[].
But in Netweaver Developer Studio I am not able to create this parameter with type byte[] .
When I try creating a parameter of this type (byte[]) . I get only byte from drop down and below Array type checkbox is disabled.
Please help me in this regards.

There are two ways of achieving this:
1. Create a private getCachedWebResource() method inside your component controller's others section. i.e. do not create a method on the Methods tab, but instead code the method directly into the controller.
2. Create a parameter of type java.lang.Byte[ ] instead of byte[ ]. This can be done by clicking on the Browse button next to the Type and then choosing the Java Native Type radio button. In the Java Native Type input field provide java.lang.Byte. Click on Ok and you should see the Array Type option getting enabled. Check it, and in the method you should convert from java.lang.Byte to byte.

To call methods inside the same application is possible to use RMI ?

What I should like to know is if RMI can easily be used to implement comunication (calling methods) inside classes that are part of the one same application... This should be a restrict case to use RMI...
The reason to do it come from the need to use the instance of a class knonwing it only as Object... This can be good to do if some code is used for general pupose in many different contexts.
In this case you can pass to the "server class" a parameter 'o' of type Object (all the classes extend Object) of the "customer class" to get back informations if some elaboration happen inside the "server class"...
This purpose is generally implemented with event listeners, but perhaps it could be done easily using RMI too (I dont know it...).
Using RMI in this simple situation, don't should require anything of complicate (stub, .... mashalling parametres....) to have the reference to method of the "customer class" to call. The "server class" already recives a reference of the "customer class" how parameter of type Object, and the mame of the method too.
I propose a simple thoeric example to explain really what I said before:

tonyMrsangeloRMI doesn't help you in the slightest here. You can just realize it all using local method invocation. All RMI does is to make that remote. If the objects aren't remote there is no point.

Displaying only certain properties in the Properties Pane

The properties pane that is available as a component in the Web Application Designer is quite a useful component. However, there are certain properties that we don't want to make available to the user.
At the moment I am using the property pane with the following config:
Property Set Definition : PROP_SET_PREDEFINED
Properties Source : Web Item Parameters
Web Item : Analysis
As mentioned, that works nicely, and shows me an area with 3 columns of properties, namely:
- Layout
- Alternate Table Row Styles
- Cell Specific Settings
- Exception Visualisation
- Document icons for data
- Document icons for metadata
- Document icons for masterdata
- Data Specific Settings
- Display Repeated Texts
- Scaling Factos Visible
Now, we don't want to display the "document icons ..." properties, as that doesn't make sense for our users.
How would I go about not displaying those properties?
I have played around with the properties pane item, and I can see how to list a single property. For this I set:
Properties Set Definition = Single Value
Property Name = ALTERNATE_STYLES
This works, and I then only see 1 property being displayed. I can get the technical name of the property by using my standard pane with the verbose mode set to ON.
To display multiple propeties of my choosing, I thought I would be able to use the PROP_SET_MATRIX option. I can select this, then start defining the table. I need to assign the following properties:
- GROUP_DESC : <Not sure what to put in here>
- COLUMN : 1 (the number of columns I want)
The I have a "properties list", where it looks like I can specify which properties are to be include. For this I need to provide:
- Property Name : ALTERNATE_STYLES
- Caption : Alternate Table Row Styles
- Property Parent : < Don't know what to put in here>
I have tried various values in the Property Parent and the group_desc fields, but still I see nothing and sometimes get rather meaningless errors appearing.
Surely this shouldn't be a difficult task.?

rajkumarThe JSP wil be converted into a java file and then compiled into a class. If you are using tomcat, the java file will be somewhere in the work folder of your tomcat installation. Find the java file and check the line that is reported in the exception to see where the null-pointer is coming from.

How can I set the submit button to email only certain pages of the pdf not the entire pdf?
We have a pdf that is a hundred pages or so where each page is an individual product that the customer can select for purchase. At the end of the pdf is an order form. We want to be able to email just the few pages which are the form as a pdf. The default function of the submit button is to email back the entire pdf. As there any way to just select whcih pages would be submitted?
The problem is for people not using an email client like Outlook. In the version of Reader my boss was using, you had to save the FDF file to your hard disk and then open your browser to go to your web based email and write an email and attach the file. In the newest version of Reader it will open a browser window and create a draft for you, but he thought it was to much work if people were using older versions of Reader. He was really looking for something straightforward where all they had to do is push a button and it was submitted.

Determining output type inside the IDOC processing FM

When sales order is created, ZXXX is the output type triggered which invokes the function module (FM) IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP to send the IDOC. My question is how do we know which output type got triggered the execution inside the FM?
My requirement is to do some calculation only for ZAAA inside the FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP but this same FM is triggered by many output types ZXXX, ZXYZ, ZMNO. So I want to know which output type triggered the FM. Hope I make it clear.

An import parameter of FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP is the structure named OBJECT (like NAST). OBJECT-KSCHL is the message type (output type).

I have a requirement like this. I want to refresh only certain region in the Page and not the full page.
Detailed Requirement: I have 2 region in Parent window.
I am entering a value in parent window in the First region. so the child window gets Populated.
I am entering some values in child window. so that those information has to get added into 2nd region of the Parent window. So i am refreshing the Parent window from the Child window. Now the information what i entered in the 1st region of the Parent window gets vanished. I want to retain that information also.

Printing half on and half off the paper
We purchased the HP Photosmart 6510 yesterday. While the unit will print, it is printing the image half on the page and half off the page on 5x7 paper. How do we get it to consistently print to the center of the sheet so that I am not wasting any more paper?
The 4x6 paper will not print at all- it will only jam and destroy the paper.
Paper type: invitation weight matte paper being fed from the photo tray. Ironically, the 3.5 x 5 images all printed perfectly.
Anyone? Help!Hi - A couple of things to check. First, make sure that the paper size in both the printer driver (File, Print, Preferences) and the app you're printing from are both set to the appropriate paper size. I'm assuming that is the case if it prints fine on 3.5x5, but can't hurt to double check. Second, sometimes there can be an accumulation of dust on the rollers that can cause the pick rollers to slip initially. Try cleaning those by following the steps in this document. This isn't normal for a new printer, but worth a try.

You`ve tried the command?
With just this command you`ll retrieve all annotations! The "only" problem is that instead of clip name there`ll be a Asset ID. If this is not a problem for you, or you manage to use fcsvr_client (as recommended by Jamie Hodge) to retrieve Asset names with IDs then you`ll have a neat printable version!
Some tips:
the main command is:
/Library/Application\ Support/Final\ Cut\ Server/Final\ Cut\ Server.bundle/Contents/Resources/sbin/fcsvr_run psql px pxdb -c "select * from pxtcmdvalue;"
If you put a "> pathto_afile.txt" (without quotes) in the end all output will be in this TXT file like a nice printable table.
If you want just annotations from a specific asset you can use in the end (before >) "| grep ID" (without quotes and ID is the asset ID number)
Try it yourself and you`ll see that`s it`s almost what you want.
If you want a more powerful way of doing this I`d recommend to dig into the FinalCutServerIntegrationSample ( http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/FinalCutServerIntegrationSample/index.html )
that has a web annotations (that exports XML, than FCSRV reads it and vice-versa).
FCSrv it`s an amazing product but it`s recent born, maybe in the future it`ll do all that and more! (I hope so!)

How I can set up the DynDns inside the Time capsule, or only with the Time capsule I have external access from a PC for ex.?
MobileMe service is finished.. to get remote access to the Mac or TC you use iCloud account.. but that is for files.. not to access web cams.
Without dyndns client in the TC, you can perhaps run dyndns on the computer or video recorder..many of these will have clients built into them.
Even better get a static Public IP from your ISP.. that is the correct professional way to do it.
Or you can use whatever broadband modem you have and remove the TC as the main router.. simply bridge it. Use your adsl router for connection. Almost all adsl have built in dyndns.

Basically the TC is about the hardest device to setup because it is lacking important networking functions.
Get a vpn router and use vpn connection is far superior to any other method. But you cannot do it with TC.
