Extend customer on a different distribution channel

hi everybody
I have already migrated customers , now i have to create them on a different distribution channel
is it possible through LSMW? or is there another way to do it?
thanks for your help

at least it is one way that you could go.
I personally would just add a small ABAP code
select single * from KNVV into wa_knvv
where KUNNR = your customer
and VTWEG = the copy from distribution channel
and SPART = the copy from division.
if sy-subrc = 0.
move corresponding wa_knvv to your recording structure.
endif.
This way I just need one field in the source file, which is the customer number.
and do not really need to care about any single field in the target structure.
I would not use recording method anyway, as SAP has a predefined Batch input and an IDOC import method.

  • Show different distribution channels in one line

    Hello everybody,
I have the following reporting problem: My customer wants to see an an attribute to 0Mat_sales summarized in one line despite the different distribution channels. With other words there is one material where two different distribution channels have the same value in this attribute. Any chance to show this in one line summarized in the query?
    Thx in advance,
    Karsten.

  • Creating customer without maintaining common distribution channel & divisio

While I'm creating a customer in ECC (XD01) its showing the error that customer not defined in sales area, How can I create a customer without maintaining common distribution channel & division

    Sivarajesh,
Suppose you have created a customer from one account group say "Domestic customers", company code is ZXXX, Sales area is 1000/100/10. Now if you are having a scenario wherein the same customer is involved in Export scenario or process. Then in that case instead of creating new customer for the same customer we will extend this customer to new export sales area.
This is performed in XD01 Screen itself.
Enter the Account Group wherein the customer is existing
    Enter Company code: ZXXX
Enter the sales area where you want to extend 1000/EX/EX and in the same screen below there is a header "Reference" in which you enter customer no. (Internall or external) should be mentioned here,
    Company code ZXXX
    Sales area: 1000/100/10
Click Tick mark, Now the customer is Extended to new sales area.

  • Which is better Different Distribution channel or different sales order typ

    Hi
My requirement can be met with three config options. Kindly go through these options and suggest which one is best and why
    1. Keeping one distribution channel and different sales order types.
    2. Configuring different distribution channel but single sales order type.
    3. Configuring different distribution channel and different sales order types.
    Kindly suggest
    Regards
    Gaurav Jain

    Hi there,
Without telling what the requirement is how can we suggest you something?
All the below options are possible in SD. Depends on the scenario to choose which is the best 1.

  • Creating customer without maintaining common distribution channel and divis

    Dear all...
can anybody tell me how to create a customer without maintaining common distribution channel & division..
    sathsdn..

    Hi
    Welcome to SDN
    Not possible
Because whenever you are going to create customers /materials or conditions for a distribution channel the system is going to check the reference distribution channel in VOR1 (whether any entry is there) and will accept when there is entry there only
    Similarly
Because whenever you are going to create customers /conditions for a division the system is going to check the reference division in VOR2 (whether any entry is there) and will accept when there is entry there only
Without configuring VOR1 and VOR2 creating master data is not possible
If you dont want to havecommon distribution channel or division keep the same as common
Suppose in VOR1 for 1000,10 if you have to define  common distribution channel then you can maintain as Ref DC customers /materials  as 10 (the same) and Ref DC for conditions as also 10 (the same)

  • Sales order with different Distribution channels

    Hi experts,
how can i create a sales order with different distribution channels.
I mean item level 10 = one distribution channel.
Item level 20 = another distribution channel.
also in Item level 30 also.... is it posible .?? how can i create ??
because we have the material in different distribution channel in differen plant with different price ..
    Thanksin Advance,
    Anthyodaya.

    Hi Anthyodaya,
As already answered by others, the distribution channel is only on header level(VBAK), so it is not possble to have different distribution channels in one sales order.
Could you please consider using different division?
Item division could be different than header.
    Go->item->Sales B->Division
    Hope it helps.
    Best regards,
    Smile

  • Extend Distribution Channel in Customer Master

    Dear Gurus,
Can any one explain me how to extend the Distribution channel in Customer master for the same Customer code. For example, my customer code is 100178 and the Distribution channel is PG, now i want to extend the customer to other channel PM, PR, PT.
    Regds
    Jeevagan.U

    Hi Friend,
You can extend the CUSTOMER to different Distribution channel in XD01.
Goto the transaction code XD01 and enter the Customer number whch you want to extend and the Sales organisation/Distribution channel/Division
In the below , there is a Reference Tab in which you have to give the Customer/Sales organisation/Distribution channel/Division in which the customer was originally created and  Hit Enter.
It will be extended to the said Distribtion channel
In the same way you can extend this to Sales organisations and divisions also.

  • Distribution channel for manufacturing industries

    Hi.
For manufacturing industries of consumer products what is best channel distribution choice in SAP, taking into account that the customers in SAP aren´t the consumers?
    A.
    10 Wholesalers
    20 Distributors
    30 Supermarkets
    or
    B
    10 Wholesale
    20 Retail
If the answer is A,.... Why SAP give us the option of extend a customer to the another distribution channel ?
    Thank you.

As you would be aware the purpose of creating Distribution Channel is that through some channel you have to distribute the material to customer and we call this channel in many ways like, wholesale, retail, export etc.,
As long as the sales area (combination of sales organisation, distribution channel and division) is clear in SD side, all sales reports can be differentiated easily and from end user point of view, this will be much useful.
In some cases, you need to go in for a common distribution channel due to the fact that instead of having lot of distribution channels, you can simplify the configuration part by having a common channel.
The decision to go different distribution channel or common distribution channel needs to be analysed on case to case basis and of course with clients' concurrence.
    thanks

  • Distribution channels deviate from each other.70 /or 10 (reference), Message no. V2011

I have a problem when create the "Credit memo request" doc. type CR, reference doc. is billing doc. and my sales doc. that i did the billing doc. sales area is 2100/10/71 and i have to create cr doc with reference to billing doc. and sales area should be 2100/70/99 but while i creating cr doc. with reference to billing doc. system gives error distribution channel deviate from each other 70./or 10 (reference).
I have seen the early post but there where no proper solution on it.
please provide me solution i have to create cr doc. with reference to billing doc. and simply meaning with different distribution channel and division from preceding doc.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Abhijeet

    Hi man,
The thing is that the credit memo with reference is precisely affect the balance of the Customer - Sales Area, imagine a Report by Sales Area saying the total Sales Amount of the Sales Area is 1 million, but then you turn to another sales area and discover that the same customers have credit notes for 1.5 million, insane. The purpose of referencing the credit/debit memos is that, not to lose track, including Sales Areas. Otherwise make no sense to create it with reference, just create a Credit Memo with the customer you want to affect in the sales area you want to affect, no reference. For audit purposes justify the document based on REASON FIELDS and approvals, let me explain this a little more:
One single person CANNOT create Credit Memos, cos this could lead to wrong ethical behavior, to avoid this some companies recommend to have more than one person involved in the process of Credit notes creation, what I've done on this situation is: provide access to one person to CREATE Credit/Debit memos using the standard transaction VA01, in the settings of the Sales Order Type I customize that the document will be created automatically blocked for billing (can use a UserExt to always have this field populated on the creation). This person WONT have access to modify Credit/Debit notes (VA02) but his supervisor will and this supervisor is responsible to approve and modify the blocking field to release the doc for billing. Yes, he can also change the amount but you will already have the log of changes in place for audit purposes.
This is more than a technical issue, a process issue. My kind suggestion is to challenge the business and get clearly why they want to have a referenced Credit Memo without using the Sales Area of the based Billing Doc.
    Hope it helps...

  • Combine division,distribution channel

    hello friends,
Can somebody explain me why we do combine sales organizations, combine distribution channels, combine divisions, and ref sales organization, distribution channel, division?
    regards,
    sekhar_functional consultant

We use VOR1, VOR2 to share the master data and reduce the database pile up of repeated data.
The master data shared by several distribution channels applies to conditions and customer and material master data.
This helps you minimize the cost of creating and maintaining the master data.
You can also update statistics for each distribution channel and division without creating the master data for the different sub-areas of the organization.
    Example
You can, for example, create customer master data for distribution channel "01" and define it so that it is valid for distribution channels "02" and "03".

  • Stock transfer distribution channel

    Hi
In stock transfer process is it required to maintain a stock transfer distribution and division since it's between two plant  and if so is it required to maintain a account group as my plant where it'll be possibile to maintain the plant as a customer and vendor
    Vinz

It all depends on the Client requirements that if they want to track the STO Sales through Distribution Channel, then it would be better to have a different Distribution Channel as 'ST'.
Now in IMG > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Stock Transport Order > Define Shipping Data for Plants .Here define the Plant in the Sales Area with the Customer Number which you will create in Customer Master.
Its better to have a different Account Group for STO Customers as they would have the different Number Range , Text , Output Determination Procedure & Screen Settings

  • Beta distribution channel option disabled

  • Common division & distribution channel

    Hello all,
Kindly provide a solution to my query .  Incase of same division & sales organisation but different distribution channel we can maintain common distribution channel so that no separate customer master data needs to be maintained for different distribution channels if customer details are same.
But incase where either division or distribution channel & division is/are different we can maintain common distribution channel & division so as to use the same customer for different sales area. But here do we need to maintain separate material master record for each division along with customer -material info record as well as condition record (customer/material)...???
As in here although common division is maintained but the materials ( Pharma & Paint ) are different along with their industry sectors....so how can the same material master be maintained for both the divisions..?
      Sales org : LSE
Dist chl : LR & LS
      Div : PH & P1
Please provide any input .                                                                                Thanks.

    Hi
    As of my understanding,
    Sales org : LSE
Dist chl : LR & LS - Choose either of LR / LS as a common distribution channel.   SAY LR is a common division
Div : PH & P1 in this case SAY PH is a common division.
    Now
    1. Your commond distribution channel and Division will be used only in case of creating of Customer Master. So your Customer master will be created in the following sales area.
    Sales org :   LSE
    Dist chl :       LR
    Div :              PH
    2. To create Material Master Data we need only Sales org and Distribution channel. Division is not Required.
    Sales org :   LSE
    Dist chl :       LR
For the reporting or LIS / SIS purpose you can keep seperate divisions for the Every Material.
Say Material A with Division PH
    Material B with Division P1.
Try Maintaing the data like this it will work for you.
Now here make sure when you create sales order , before that go to VOV8 and remove the entry for CHECK DIVISION (keep it blank) other wise system will give the error, Header division and item division will mismatch.
Finally for Condition again you  can keep the respectively seperate division for each kind of material
    Thanks

  • Multiple distribution channels in one shop application possible?

    Dear all,
maybe someone can support me with the following requirement:
I have one shop application (SAP CRM ISA 4.0) that shall be used for selling sales products (distribution channel 10) as well as service products (distribution channel 20) at parallel.
The shop is based on one catalog. In this catalog I have two catalog variants - one for each distribution channel.
    Problem:
A service product (distribution channel 20) is never released for the sales channel (distribution channel 10).
When having more than one catalog variant the user has to select a certain catalog/catalog variant when logging onto the shop application. By selecting a certain variant only materials can be purchased that are released for the distribution channel defined in the selected catalog variant (same is valid for TREX search).
=> Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a process to sell products of different distribution channels in one shop application out of one product catalog without releasing a material for both distribution channels?
Thanks a lot for you help.
    Best Regards,
    Rainer Gryschka

You can do this by specifiying the appropriate data load rule to be used by ERPi within Integration Option 1 in the location. This will kick off the data load rule you specify in ERPi that should be tied to the corresponding set of books in EBS.

  • Distribution channel opened by mistake

    Hi Gurus
A material (TA MM01) has been opened on 2 different distribution channels.
Does anybody know if there is the possibility to "close" the material on a distribution channel leaving only one opened?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Stefano,
Please use MM06, and enter the required Sales org +dist chnl and execute and select the check box against the  sales orgn +dist chnl and save it
this will prompt msg saying that material has been marked for deletion
