Extension template/skeleton

Hi
Does anyone/adobe have an extension template/skeleton to get
newbies started with?
Best practice file management with useful things like
outputting to a new file, saving to a new file, saving preferences.
May help saving the community doing the same things over and over
again.
all the best
Dave

Dave,
There are many types of extensions, but the easiest way to
get started
is to open the History Panel (Window > History), select 1
or more steps,
right-click and select "Save as Command…". This creates
a Command in the
*User* Configuration folder which is usually something like:
on WinXP
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application
Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver
CS4\en_US\Configuration\Commands
Note that the "Application Data" folder is hidden by default,
so you may
need to enable displaying of hidden folders in the Folder
Options of the
File Explorer.
Poke around in the *Application* Configuration folder here
for lots of
code that is delivered with DW:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver
CS4\en_US\Configuration
There are online Extension and API docs here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Extending/index.html
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_API_Ref/index.html
Hope this helps,
Randy

  • Q & A Extension/Template

    I am thinking of doing a Q&A type of website, where users could possibly ask "Handyman" questions - "How do I fix a leaky tap" , "How do I replace a broken tile in my floor", etc...where I would then respond to them.  Does anyone have any ideas on an extension or template that would work for something like this?
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Is there an After Effects Plugin project template/skeleton for Qt Creator?

    Is there an After Effects Plugin project template/skeleton for Qt Creator?
    I mean, Qt is considered to be cross platform and it would be handy if you provided a sample plugin project since Adobe targets multiple platforms.
    (I don't like Qt Creator either, but in order to make a cross-platform plugin I guess I have to go down this path...)

    No, there is not. It's a good feature request, though:

  • Installing EM (FMW) extension templates on Weblogic 12.1.3

    I need to extend a WLS 12.1.3 domain with an Enterprise Manager extension template. Is there a way I can get this template directly? For WLS 11g, we used to install a small FMW component like ADF runtime so that we get an oracle_common fmw home and choose the EM templates from there. However, it seems like for 12c, we need to have a database schema for even a simple component (from the FMW 12c infrastructure stack?). We basically want to avoid this overhead of creating and maintaining a DB for something that we don't need (we don't need any FMW components except for the EM extension template). So, can I get an EM extension template installed without having to go for a Oracle DB provisioning?

    You are correct. In order to get Fusion Middleware Control you need the infrastructure. The infrastructure requires an Oracle Database and schemas.
    See: 3 Overview of Oracle Fusion Middleware Components (12c (12.1.3))
    3.1 Understanding Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure
    Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure is an Oracle Fusion Middleware distribution that provides Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Coherence, and the Oracle JRF infrastructure services, such as:
        Oracle Application Development Framework
        Oracle Metadata Services
        Oracle Platform Security Services
        Oracle Web Services Manager
        Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control
    These services are installed into the Oracle common directory inside the Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Oracle home by the Infrastructure installer.
    Note that the equivalent installer in Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g is the Application Developer 11g installer, which requires an existing installation of Oracle WebLogic Server. In 12c, the Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure distribution consists of both Oracle WebLogic Server and the Oracle JRF in a single installer.

    No.

  • How do I open a custom template?

    I feel like I'm missing something very obvious here. I downloaded a custom template from the iWork community and I got a zip file with a bunch of pdf documents in it. In Pages, I can't seem to find a way to open anything in that folder; I don't know how to install a new custom template. Help?

    PeterBreis0807 wrote:
    Which template was it, so that we can check it out?
    A Pages template will have .pages as an extension and all you have to do is click on it to open it in Pages.
    Did you checked what you wrote ?
    In the box or custom, a Pages template has the extension ".template", not ".pages".
    In the box or custom, a Numbers template has the extension ".nmbtemplate".
    Documents with extension ".pages" or ".numbers" aren't templates but standard documents !

  • Need help making template for starting a movie score project

    What should I add to a template that I made to make it good for importing and working with QT movies for scoring. I was impressed with Apple's Music for Video template, the way the arrange window looks, the environments, the screen sets. I have made a very extensive template that has rewire and live drum recording setup etc. and I want this template to be optimized for score production. I am worried I will be missing key video functions if I simply just import video to my template.
    Question # 2, I have a ruff cut video that's 1:15:00 (near complete), should I detect cuts before I start composing ? Bear with me just cutting my teeth ~

    video generators>text>there are several options. Scrolling text will "scroll" the credits up. There is a left/center/right alignment. If thats not enough control you can key frame it with the wireframe.

  • Capturing weblogic username and password for use in my console extension

    Hi,
    I have developed a console extension as a war file and it needs to capture the Weblogic username and password so internally it can use the class MBeanServerConnection that needs these during connection. I have therefore created the standard <login-config> <auth-method>FORM</auth-method> ... stuff in the web.xml to output a logon.jsp when my war is accessed in the hope of capturing username and password. My intention is that these would appear in addition to the standard logon that appears when the Weblogic console is 1st accessed.
    However, my console extension logon.jsp does not appear and I think it’s because there is only one logon needed and this is when the main Weblogic console is accessed because my console extension is subordinate to the main Weblogic console.
    Therefore, how can I get my console extension logon.jsp to appear so I can capture the Weblogic username and password?
    Thanks,
    Dave.

    One approach that might work is to write a look and feel console extension that modifies the console's login jsp (vs trying to have a second login jsp).
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/e13745/rebrand.htm#i1070459 describes how to write look and feel extensions.
    Basically, you instantiate the look and feel extension template, hand-edit login/LoginForm.jsp, then build and deploy the extension.
    One tricky part is figuring out how to pre-compile the jsps. Here's part of a build script I've used for look and feel extensions. Let me know if you need a sample look and feel extension.
    <project name="sample-look-and-feel" default="build">
    <dirname property="this.dir" file="${ant.file.sample-look-and-feel}" />
    <property environment="env" />
    <property name="src.dir" value="${this.dir}/src" />
    <property name="build.dir" value="${this.dir}/build" />
    <property name="webapp.dir" value="${build.dir}/webapp" />

    <property name="samplename" value="sample-look-and-feel" />
    <property name="wlhome.dir" value="${env.WL_HOME}" />
    <property name="consoleapp.dir" value="${wlhome.dir}/server/lib/consoleapp" />
    <property name="deployment" value="${build.dir}/${samplename}.war" />
    <target name="build">
    <!--
    Make a temporary directory that we will compile the jsps from.
    It includes the console's web.xml (which has the jspc configuration),
    the sample's jsps, and any console taglibs the sample's jsps use.
    -->

  • Deleting templates

    Can you delete a custom template in Pages?

    I apologize but if you saved custom templates thru the "Save as template" menu item yo have the described folder.
    A simple search with the Finder's search tool (cmd + f) would reveal them.
    Of course, as the Choose a Template dialog give you the names of your custom templates, you may use one of these names in a search.
    Last not least, you may search the templates given their name extension ".template"
    No nead to rant. In the French version the templates are stored in
    Application Support:Pages:Modèles:Mes Modèles.

  • Flash CC Extensions Possible?

    I have a few existing Flash CS6 extensions that I need to get running under Flash CC.  I updated to Extension Builder 2.1 only to find that Flash CC is not listed as a Target application when you create a new project.  I tried launching the extension into Flash CC anyway, and got an alert "Unable to launch into Flash Pro CC.  Launching into Flash Pro CS6".  I then tried installing from a zxp via Extension Manager CC (by setting the extensions host version to [12.0,13.9]).  The extension installed successfully, but on launching Flash CC, Window->Extensions says "No extensions are installed".  I verified that the extension file was in the correct system folder.  Lastly, I followed the Adobe Exchange link from the welcome screen of Flash CC and tried installing a few random extensions from there, with no luck.  FYI - I tried all of this (and more) with the default Flash extension template by creating a new project to ensure my plugin wasn't to blame.
    So, it looks like Flash CC is not compatible with extensions at the moment.  Can anyone verify that?  If so, is there an eta?
    I can keep using CS6, but these extensions are critical to my business.  When I need to bring on a new employee, I have no easy way to get a new copy of Flash CS6, which is a big problem.
    Thanks for your help.

    I downloaded the Extension Builder 3 Preview and got everything running in eclipse.  I'm still confused about how to make a Flash extension, however.  As xujieadobe mentioned, Flash CC doesn't yet support HTML extensions, but it appears to me that is the only kind you can create with EB3.  A few questions...
    1.  How do you make an extension for Flash CC?  Even the template project is HTML and only runs in the forthcoming version13.1 or higher.  Has anyone gotten anything to work?
    2.  What is the path for converting a CS6 extension to CC?  Do they need to be rewritten in HTML/Javascript?
    Thanks

  • How To Add A Template Page

    Hi! So in school, I am required to write up a newspaper and conveniently I have a Late 2013 Retina 13.3" Macbook Pro. After playing around with the pages Newsletter templates, I decided to go with the first option. However I could not find any option or tools to add a new template page. My teacher in school seems to have done it by going to Sections and then selecting various template pages. It seems as if this feature was removed in the new Yosemite update for Pages. Is there an alternative or another option for me to get additional template pages? Thanks!

    Hi KindaKing,
    It seems you would like to know how to save a document you've created as a Pages template. You can do this easily by following the steps in this article:
    Pages for Mac 5.0: Add custom templates
    If you create a document that you want to use again as a model for other documents, you can save it as a template. Creating your own template can be as simple as adding your company logo to an existing template, or you can design a completely unique template.
    You can add your custom template to the template chooser, or save it as a file to share with others or to install and use on your iOS device.
    You can install a custom template from an email attachment, iTunes, a WebDAV server, or other apps. If you create a custom template on your Mac, you can save it to iCloud.
    Save a document as a template
    Choose File > Save as Template (the File menu is at the top of your computer screen).
    Click one of the options:
    Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.
    Save As: Type a name for the template, then choose where you want to save it.
    If you save it to iCloud, the next time you open Pages on your iOS device, the template appears as a downloadable file in the document manager.
    If you save a template to a web server or upload it to webmail, it must have the file extension .template.zip to install it and use it in Pages on your iOS device.
    Install a custom template
    If you saved the custom template to your computer, to a server, or to iCloud, you can quickly install it. Templates saved to iCloud appear in the document manager and are identified as templates by a template badge.
    Double-click the template file (it has the file extension .template), then click Add to Template Chooser.
    Rename or delete a custom template
    In the template chooser, Control-click the template name, then choose Rename or Delete.
    If you’re renaming, type a new name, then press Return.
    Custom templates always appear in the My Templates category in the template chooser. You can’t rearrange templates; they always appear in the order in which they were added.
    Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Bobby_D

    It is quite easy to rewrite the plugin to work with 8.1
    We have done so - please contact me if you want the plugin.
    Sincerely,
    Paul Nyheim

  • Uninstall custom template

    Hello all,
    We set up a domain with WebLogic 10.3.6 and installed Oracle WebCenter 11.1.1.5.
    We following the instructions to set up a custom manged server:
    1. Run config.sh
    2. Select domain
    3. Select extension template <webcenter>/common/templates/applications/oracle.wc_custom_portal_template_11.1.1.jar
    After making a configuration mistake, I attempted to remove the WC_CustomPortal Managed Server and remove the */Oracle/Middleware/WC_CustomPortal* directory so that I could do a re-install.
    When I run the config wizard to set up the Custom Managed Server again, I get to step 3 I get these error messages:
    CFGFWK-60687: The template you selected can't be applied because the following dependencies have not been satisfied:
    CFGFWK-64075: The template is already installed
    How do I uninstall the template from the domain?
    Thanks,
    Mitch

    Hi,
    Can you Give a try to
    Remove the relevant domain entry from the "/Oracle/Middleware/domain-registry.xml" file.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <domain-registry xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/domain-registry">
    <domain location="/Oracle/Middleware/WC_CustomPortal "/>
    </domain-registry>Remove the relevant domain entry from the "$WLS_HOME/common/nodemanager/nodemanager.domains" file.
    #Domains and directories created by Configuration Wizard
    #Thu Aug 23 22:53:14 BST 2012
    testDomain=/Oracle/Middleware/WC_CustomPortalDelete the WC_CustomPortal directories.
    $ rm -Rf /Oracle/Middleware/WC_CustomPortalRegards,
    Fabian

    Note: I have deleted the folder system11.1.1.2.36.55.36 and tried starting jDev, but the problem still persists.
    Requesting you all to provide a solution for the problem.

    I am facing the exact same issue. It happened when I installed the Oracle SOA Composite Editor.
    I did the install - restarted the Jdeveloper and it all stopped working. I then deleted the systemsxxxx directory and made sure the CLASSPATH variable has been deleted (there was not one there anyway). Restarted jdeveloper and it still wont work.
    I seem to be hitting lots of snags - I have a demo to our manager tomorrow and I have nothing to show him. Surely a simple upgrade should not be so destructive.
    Once thing I did notice was this. I could not perform the online update - it said the username/password was incorrect (even though it was not). I then decided to download the file (about 200 M). I did this and installed the upgrade from the local machine. It seemed to install almost in a instant. Then there was a message to restart Jdeveloper. I did all this and still no joy.
    Any help would as always be appreciated.
