External and onboard sampling in parallel

Hello everybody,
I made a simple example to demonstrate what I am trying to achieve but my problem can be summarized with one question: Is it possible to have in parallel one task that samples channel AI0 with the onboard clock and another task that samples channel AI1 with external clock source?
In my application I have
1) One task measuring lets say pressure or temperature at one channel with the onboard clock
2) One task calculating the frequency of revolutions of incremental sensor (IRC)
3) One task sampling signal from laser probes using the IRC signal as external source
They are supposed to run in parallel
2+3 works perfect but when I add also 1 I get Error -50103 occurred at DAQmx Start Task.vi:1, The specified resource is reserved. The operation could not be completed as specified. Also 1+2 works perfect together. Program attached - it's just fast example.
Thanks a lot

Trying to create more than one task for AI the same time result in the encountered error message....This is because AI can only have a single sample clock source. Due to device access, this is a prerequisite for a single device. Having more than one DAQ device will enable you to define two different clocks for the two devices.
hope this helps,

  • Error message trying to synchronise audio and midi sample rate 42463

    I have a Rode Podcaster mic that is terrific. It has been working fine in GB. suddenly I am getting this when I try to record my podcast:
    'Error message trying to synchronise audio and midi sample rate 42463 recognised. Check conflict between Garageband and external device'
    Has anyone experienced this before? How do I resolve it? I'm still using my Version 6.0.5.
    Apple, is this a way of forcing me to upgrade to V10?

    Just click the icon on each track that stops it acting as a live input. It looks like a sound wave. Only have them clicked orange when using the track to record! I don't know if that will solve your problem!

  • Error while trying to sync audio and MIDI, sample rate 39100 recognised??

    When I press record a message appears saying 'error while trying to syncronise audio and MIDI, sample rate 39100 recognised. Check conflict between garage band and external device. I'm using a Behringer UMC-202 interface. The inputs are selected as the device but no audio is present either.

  • Dock and UI freeze with Parallels on 10.6.8

    Hi,
    I recently updated my MacBook Pro 17" to 10.6.8, with no problems. Fabulous machine.
    Yesterday, I installed Windows 7 into Parallels (yeah, I know. Long story) and then watched with mounting frustration and despair as my lovely friendly machine ground to a halt. Literally.
    Current situation
    When I start up the machine up, the OS boots up fine (or appears to). Then the Dock disappears. Or flashes briefly, then disappears. Or appears but is completely unresponsive. Then, shortly after, the entire UI becomes unresponsive. The mouse pointer moves, but that's about it. No keyboard control. No interactivity. Re-starting the hardware solves nothing. Re-starting in safe mode solves nothing. I've unplugged all external USB devices and the Time Capsule. No joy.
    Cause?
    I suspect that it is Parallels. Or rather a particular build of Parallels under 10.6.8, with one particular option checked, i.e. "Show windows applications in Dock". Why do I think this? Check out http://kb.parallels.com/en/111541
    Now, what I'm trying to figure out is what the feck I do to fix this and roll back the Parallels install when I have no significant UI control for more than a few seconds after login... deep sigh.
    Any good suggestions most welcome.

    Parallels has a solution/fix for the problem, or you can try the just released version.
    See http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20074173-263/dock-using-100-cpu-after-os-x- 10.6.8-update-for-parallels-6-users/.
    Or you can try this:
    Navigate to the /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ folder and delete these 2 files:
    com.apple.dock.plist
    com.apple.dock.db.plist
    Restart.

  • Installing Windows to external hard drive or using parallels?

    Will installing Windows on external hard drive protect mac from viruses better than parallels? Which option is more sound, installing windows on external hard drive or using parallels? My main concern is mac protection. Thanks

    Hi,
    Thank's for your reply.
    Using Parallels and creating a virtual machine, I think it should be possible installing Windows to an external hard drive, shouldn't it?

    Hi Marius,
    I think this problem could be linked to the changes in the layout API and the order of the loading of the video elements.
    Please try to add layoutmetadata with index property to parallel videos so they render in the correct order, something like:
                var layout1:LayoutMetadata = new LayoutMetadata();
                layout1.index= 10 ;
                videoElement.addMetadata(LayoutMetadata.LAYOUT_NAMESPACE, layout1);
                var layout2:LayoutMetadata = new LayoutMetadata();
                 layout2.index= 20 ;
                 vpaidNonLinear.addMetadata(LayoutMetadata.LAYOUT_NAMESPACE, layout2);
    Tell me if that worked,
    S.

  • Choosing between external and partner application and problem with login

    We have an application on Oracle App Server 10.1.3.3 and we have an OID server.
    I had taken this for granted that I should define the application as 'Partner Application' and not external application for single sign on.
    Now that we need the 'PASSWORD' retrieved by application, we are considering defining it as an external application.
    There are at least two problems I have encountered defining the application as external:
    1. 'pageConfig:serverDate' is among the login form's inputs in the login page, but I can't set it in orasso 'Edit External Applications' page
    2. After login using SSO as external application and when I click on the application's new link, the login page is shown with the username and password field filled, but I have to click on login button anyway (no automatic and invisible login).
    I will be very grateful if someone gives a general view on the differences between external and partner, whether in this case external has to be used or partner and finally give some comment on my specific problem with login button and manual login.
    Thank you

    Just some information :
    - The problem with LOGIN page exists. I don't have that problem with for example GMAIL when defined as external application, but with my applications in Oracle Application Server.
    - There is also another thing I don't understand. The link to external application is something like:
    javascript:open_jwindow('../ealogin?ID=76D4766','76');
    and couldn't be executed outside pls/orasso
    in other words we can't give that to our users, can we? They should login to orassso and see that?
    We don't want to involve them in Identity Management...
    Any help is appreciated....

    My laptop model name is HP Pavilion dv4-1100ea which is shipped with Vista Home premium 32 bits and has got service pack 1.
    Restored the laptop to factory setting since then I am having the following problems; I had the same problem when my laptop was brand new and whenever I reset the laptop to factory setting I get the following problems:
    1. External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either in middle of the recording using sound recorder or while the call in progress on voice calls (skype):
       Using the sound recorder if I start recording the sound with external  mike  and in-between  recording if I  switchover from external mike to inbuilt mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound  up till where I used the external mike during recording, after the switchover to inbuilt mike I cant hear any sound.
       But if I start the recording with inbuilt mike and in between recording  if I plug in  the external mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound up till where I used the inbuilt mike during recording , after the switchover to external mike I cant hear any sound.
       So in brief both my external and internal mikes are working fine, only problem is that if I start recording (using sound recorder) or voice call with one specific mike, I have to continue with it till the end. I can’t switchover to another mike in between the conversation (voice call) or recording, if I do so, I have to select the mike manually in chat software but while recording I cant even select manually because in laptop, it takes the mike whichever is in current use as default mike in recording tab(sound window). The green tick automatically (in recording device tab) switches over according to the use of mike. Though the green tick in the recording tab is switching over automatically according to use of mikes, its not picking up the sound after switch over during recording.
    2. And also when I click on recording device tab in sound window and plug in external mike, though the green tick automatically switchovers from internal to external mike, while I speak both internal and external mikes volume meter respond to the sound inputs by rising and falling but if I take out external mike, green tick goes to internal mike and when I speak only internal mike volume meter respond to sound rising up and down not the external mike.
    To resolve the issue I have tried following steps with no luck:
    1.I have checked the mikes(internal and external) properties, the both mike shows to be enabled in general tab, in level tab the volume is set to 100 and in advanced tab , all options are selected.
    2. In device manager I have got only one audio driver named as “IDT High definition Audio CODEC”. I have uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it using scan for hardware option
    3. Uninstalled the audio driver in device manager and reinstalled the audio driver using recovery manager > advanced option> hardware driver re-installation.
    3. I have updated the BIOS(Insyde F.65, 12/02/2010).
    4. I tried to update the audio driver using below link but things went more worse so I did system restore (not factory setting though).

    Sounds like you need to upgrade to the iPhone 5s
    The 5s has Touch ID
    You can unlock your phone with your finger instead of typing in a key code
    No swiping to unlock either, just touch the home button
    You can enrol multiple fingers as well
    Here is a video of it in action
    http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/videos/#video-touch
    Or wait and see what iPhone 6 has to offer
    That being said, as desiel vdub posted if the phone is up to your face, the proximity sensor should turn the screen off
    And when you lower the phone turn it back on again
    Not sure about the phone locking when your on a call doesn't sound right

  • Unable to run XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample

    Hello
    I'm facing to a problem with XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample on my Windows 7 x64 machine
    I installed Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
    I installed WDK 8.1
    I installed WDK 8.1 Test Pack
    I installed everything from this
    site and I think that's all what I need for building the sample.
    Next I downloaded XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample from
    http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowshardware/XPSDrv-Driver-and-Filter-980d24bc (btw. there is a step-by-step tutorial how to build the sample)
    1. Open the solution file in Visual Studio 2013 (I opened solution C++\XPSDrvSmpl.sln)
    2. Add all non-binary files (usually located in the \install directory of the sample) to the Package project
         a. In the Solution Explorer, right click
    Driver Files (HERE IS THE PROBLEM, WHAT IS DRIVER FILES ??? SEE PICTURE BELOW)
         b. Select Add, then click Existing Item
         c. Navigate to the location to which you downloaded the sample, and select all the files in the install directory, or the equivalent set of non-binary files such as INFs, INIs, GPD, PPD files, etc.
         d. Click Add
    Look at the picture how does my solution look like:
    Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

    So after I add the InstallPackage, I added all the files in the install folder to the driver files. Than I added all the files of the install folder to the package files in the properties of the driver package. I also added all the dlls of the sample to
    the package files. Then I edited the inf file:
    Change DriverVer to a new date,because the old one is not working.
    And this under the driverver:
    CatalogFile=xdsmpl.cat
    Add this to each Microsoft.xx sections: {GUID}
    Should look like this:
    [Microsoft.NTx86]
    "XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
    [Microsoft.NTia64]
    "XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
    Change the location of the dlls under SourceDisksFiles to 1 or leave it to 2 if you have subfolders for architecures.
    So my inf looks like that:

  • UltraBeat Drag and Drop Samples (once and for all)

    Hello I have searched through this and other forums for this one.
    I know someone can come through here... I have tried every which way
    of draging and droping aiff, wav, and mp3 samples into the Ultrabeat
    in the Drag ad Drop template provided.
    No Dice. I have no idea what is going on with this hoping someone can spell
    this one out - I think it will read by thousands...
    .::=::.

    Ok 2 discoveries for any one else reading this thread for help.
    I found;
    1. The Load Sample window is in the lower left hand corner of the Ultrabeat window.
    2. That is where you find the load and unload sample menu
    Question I have;
    I can load a sample here from out side of logic ie any sample from the browser
    BUT cannot load from the Apple Loops menu this is part of what may have thrown me off any info on this?
    Also, there seems to be no edit/undo function in ultrabeat can some one confirm this?
    Thanks to you guys and some pokin around I am on my way...
    getting there. if any one has anyhing to add about ultra beat feel free to
    post a link here or add it in maybe we can create a nice thread for other people like me :)-(:

  • Recently moved iTunes library to external and now can't access files

    I recently moved my entire library of songs (15.3G) from internal HD on eMac to external Seagate HD. Problem is that I can see all the songs listed in iTunes, but the column next to song name has an ! against every song.
    If I go back to the external and follow the path, I'm able to select a song and it will play in iTunes, but none of the songs are accessible. The error message is "'Song Name' could not be used because the original file could not be found".
    I'm hoping someone can help me.
    Incidentally, I did the same with my iPhoto collection and have had no probs accessing.
    Thanks!

    And you changed the directory of the songs to the external as well?
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301748
    If so, you may need to rebuild your library:

  • From MacBook To External And Back

    Hi, I followed everything on here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301748 to bring all of my music onto an external whilst retaining the play count information and ratings and everything (I think) but how can I bring this music from the external and put it back on my MacBook HD, again, whilst retaining the play count information, etc.
    Thanks! -Mike.

  • Are Oracle Java Serlet and JSP samples working in Oracle9i?

    Oracle web site provides many good Servlet and JSP samples. All
    the instructions talk about Oracle8i. Does anybody know for sure
    they are working under Oracle9i or not?
    Thanks!
    H.

    OTN has sample applications that demonstrate a range of JSP techniques, from basic to advanced. OTN provides two versions of the samples: one version is built to the Servlet 2.0 specification and runs under Oracle9iAS-JServ or JDeveloper, the other verion is built to the Servlet 2.2 specification and runs under the Oracle Servlet Engine (OSE) built into the Oracle8i database or the mod_ose module of Oracle9iAS.

  • External and Portable Hard Dirves

    Could anyone tell me what they think is the best External and/or Portable Hard Drive. I have a Macbook Core Duo with 100GB of space. I have about 4GB left due to all my movies I have converted and stored on my computer, photos and music. Could anyone help please!

    External drives are getting cheaper and cheaper. When I first started looking, around March of '07, it was give or take a dollar a gig. An 80 gig drive would cost you $80, maybe $90. A 120 gig drive would cost you between $100 and $150, depending on brand.
    At the beginning of May, I bought a Comstar USB drive at Future Shop, and get this: 250 gigs, for $109.
    Almost all drives will work with the Macbook, I believe. Pretty compatible.
    Decide if you need portability (not having to plug into a wall socket) or bigger storage, as that is the major price trade-off.
    You should also decide on USB or Firewire.
    Check out your local computer store, wherever you live. You should be able to find something that will fit.
