Extra spaces when coping from data tab

When I run a query like "select * from dba_tables" (could be any statement) and then click on a table name and copy it. I then take another statement and say "select count(*) from " and paste what I copied, there are a large number of spaces on the end of it. Why is it adding spaces and how can I turn this off without having to delete them each time?

It is actually copying a tab character. I believe that the thought behind its behavior is so that you can easily paste into spreadsheet tools like Excel. That being said, I believe that a bug was logged a while back to remove the tab from the last field selected in the data grid.

Thank you for the advice. I was using jsp pages. But I also tried jspx and had the same problem. I wonder if it is a problem with the tag library or with the JDeveloper software. When I create a new jsp page, at the step where the available tag libraries can be shuttled from left to the right, sometimes on the right side there is only JSF HTML but hot JSF Core, but JSF core is not on the left side either. Yet if you click finish and check the source tab you would see both directives for the two libraries are in the page.
When building the pages, all the tags are created by JDeveloper. I do not have the freedom to edit the code because I do not know the tags. If I knew how to directly edit the tags, I can forget about the Design tab. But at least for now I am dependent on the Design tab.
There are many questions on my mind such as the difference between <form> and <h:form>? Is it OK to mix all these tags from the different tag libraries in one page? What is the difference between the JSF HTML CommandButton and the ADF FACES Core CommandButton, and which one should I used in what context? And many many other questions. Are there any Oracle documents that cover these topics and systematically explain and teach the use of these tags? I just found documents for 11g, one of which, by its title at least, looks like a book for such purpose. But it is for 11g.

How do I remove the extra space when I manually changed a component ?

I have changed a , lets say 10cm² component to 2cm² component by hand. Now I am stuck with some 8cm² extra space where I can not place any other component in.
I know I have changed it in the passed but I can't figure out how I did it.
Any suggestions?

When moving from one tab to another tab data from the page is removed

Hi,
This issue happens only in 12.2.2 instance not reproducible form jdeveloper or in any 12.1.3 instance.
Our page will be called form Endeca . Now based on the data we will show details on the OA page.
Our page has multiple tabs when this page is opened everything is shown properly.
Now once we try to move to other tab everything is removed. we are not able to see any thing.
In any 12.1.3 instance or from jdeveloper all the data is visible in all the tabs and we can easily navigate to any tab.
Any pointer will help this is a very urgent issue.

Color space when exporting from RAW

Hello,
I am a new user of Lightroom and I find color spaces topic a bit confusing so far. My main question is: when exporting a photo, does Lightroom convert to a profile or assign a profile? Because there is no way to choose. I tried to export a photo with 3 different color spaces (sRGB, AdobeRGB and ICC profile from laboratory where I print my photos). After exporting them to JPEG it turned out that all of them look differently on my monitor - does it mean that Lightroom assigns a profile? If it was converting, shouldn't they have the same colours? What is more, after printing them in laboratory, results were completely different than I expected - the photo which had closest colours to what I saw in Lightroom was that in sRGB, but that with ICC of Lab was very different (much colder colours).
Where is the problem, or what aspect do I seem to misunderstand? Do I have wrong settings, should I use DNG to work with photos, should I export to TIFF, or I just have too weak monitor or wrongly calibrated one? Should I calibrate when viewing a picture in Lightroom or with the use of a photo exported to the ICC profile of Lab?
I would like to have a little bit of control over what I'm working on, depending on whether I want to publish it on a website or print. I know that my monitor can be a problem (I have an iiyama with IPS), but surely there has to be any way to make results of my work a bit closer to my expectations.
Just for information, my workflow doesn't require Photoshop, as I rather prefer to use only tools from Lightroom. I hope that my problem doesn't require the use of Photoshop.
I will be really greateful for your help - the general knowledge about colour spaces seems to be unsufficient when it comes to the usage of applications such as Lightroom.

Both.
What you mean by both? How should I interpret it? I cannot choose "convert" or "assign", so how they both work together? What does it mean for me wanting to process photo and print in Lab?
I can only add, that those 3 photos which I exported to JPEG with 3 different colour spaces, they look different when viewing outside of Lightroom, ie. IrfanView. But when importing those JPEGs into Lightroom, differences are extremly slight. Is that because Lightroom operates in ProPhoto, which covers all colour spaces which I used, and other programs work in sRGB and those photos differently?
And the last question for now: will the hardware calibrator help in monitor which is, let's say, medium cost and medium quality? I mainly use it for preparing photos to put them on the website gallery, but would be nice if I could print better ones with a bit of certainty about what I will get from Lab.

When you export a photo from LR, it converts to the colour space you select (e.g. sRGB) and embeds the appropriate profile in the exported file.
If your monitor were calibrated and profiled, and you view with a colour-managed viewer then images should look pretty much identical no matter which colour space you export in. (W7 Photo viewer is colour managed, the XP equivalent isn't, Mac s/w generally is. IE and Chrome aren't properly colour managed, Firefox is for all images, Safari is for images with embedded profiles. Other viewers vary.) With colour-managed viewers, the only difference should be with very highly saturated colours outside sRGB colour space (and then only if your monitor can display those colours).
LR is colour managed. If the monitor isn't calibrated/profiled then I think LR assumes the monitor has a colour space equivalent to sRGB (which is generally roughly right but won't be accurate). Internally LR uses ProPhoto RGB colour space in develop module, but uses Adobe RGB in Library, and previews are stored in Adobe RGB. However, the colour space LR uses won't explain why other viewers show things differently. It's simply that LR is colour managed (which means it converts to/from the image colour space), and I guess the other viewers you're using aren't; they just throw RGB data at the screen without converting.
Is it worth calibrating and profiling your monitor? Quite possibly. Does the colour and brightness vary with viewing angle as you move your head from side to side? If so, it may be TN technology, and perhaps not worth profiling. If it looks reasonably stable with different viewing angle then probably yes.

Extra space adding during spool data into text file

I'm using sql developer to query oracle tables. I can export data using GUI of sql developer, but I wish to use spool query to export the data. Using below query, I was able to export the data to specified location, but my final text file consist of additional spaces after each line. These additional spaces between each line is causing an error to upload the text file in different location.
Did any one face have this issue? Below is my query

But,the spool query is still adding additional spaces making length of each line 43 characters in final text file output.

Lion 10.7 - application switches spaces when opened from finder

I am using Lion 10.7 , I assigned dreamweaver to desktop1 by choose Options > This Desktop when in desktop1. Then relaunch DW and it correctly opened in desktop 1. Now if i open a file using in finder (which is itself assigned to desktop3) on a file that is default to DW then Dreamweaver moves itself to Desktop3.
I thought the point was that we could assign different applications to different spaces and they would stay that way. Are we saying that if a file is opened from finder its default application will be moved and set up of spaces does not apply ?.

I just tried this (with iBooks Author). It worked as you would like it to if the app is not running when I double-click the file in Finder. I assigned the app to desktop 4. I quit the app. I went to desktop 1 and double-clicked on a document in the Finder (which, for me, is not assigned to any desktop). I was shuttled off to desktop 4 where the app launched and opened the document. Good.
But, as you say, if the app is already running and I double-click the document, it opens in whichever desktop I happen to be in.
Sounds like a bug, or at least an undesirable feature.

It would be interesting to figure out if this is a new "feature" of Mission Control, or if this same inconsistency was present in Snow Leopard (where Spaces could also be pretty quirky).

MBP switches spaces when returning from screen saver

When I move my finger minimally across the touchpad to bring my screen out of screen saver, invariably my MBP decides to shift spaces to the next to the left or right.
It is annoying.

From System Preferences, go into Security. Hopefully, the padlock icon at the bottom will show as unlocked, because if it doesn't you need a password to open it to allow you to make changes. You will see a box that says "Require password to wake this computer form sleep or screen saver." That should do it. The password being asked for is your administrative password.

The problem the poster is having is that when they click on Search tab and then go back to TOC, then the TOC is blank until they hide the pane and then click TOC again.
What we don't know from the thread or the video is the version of Rh or the version of the browser. Also does this happen in other browsers?

Getting extra scenes when burning from imovie to dvd using idvd.

I edited a movie using imovie and got it n the sequence I want. Then I burned it to dvd using idvd. However, when I view the dvd, it starts midway through the video, goes to the end, then starts over and shows me the whole video.
The problem is, I don't see the extra part that shows in the beginnning on the dvd on imovie. How do I get rid of that extra stuff if I can't see it on imovie?

I have had the same problem. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple Support and they were absolutely no help at all. They told me to buy Final Cut Pro. The only thing I found that helped was to export the movie using Quick Time as HD as possible (which takes a long time) and then use that in iDVD, so that the version I have for viewing on a TV or whatever doesn't look cheap and lo-res. My old iMac and iMovie 4 was slow, but the quality was much better on finished DVD products of movies or slideshows. It *****.

Error when importing from Data Feeds

SQL Server 2012 SSAS. Very funny error. I cannot same issue in forums:

When I go through the import everything seems to be fine: it successfully connects to the report/data feed, it lets me preview and filter tablix displaying information, but when I click Finish, it throws the error on import.
What could it be? I have configured credentials and Proxy in SQL Server Agent.

Disk space when migrating from aperture

Hi,
I am a current Aperture user and I plan to migrate all my photos to the Photos app. I am aware of some of the limitations of the Photos app and I am ok with that. My question is I have multiple libraries with the biggest being 90GB. I also only have about 20GB free space on my hard drive. During migration what kind of free disk space is needed? If someone could clear that up I could start the migration. Thanks!

1) OS X needs about 30% of the total amount of storage space on the system drive, free to function optimally.... so you need to free up some space anyhow..
2) Put your Aperture library (s) on an external Hard Drive... That will free up some space to begin with...
3) Ensuring you are running backups before doing the following.... Delete any other personal files or folders you no longer use in say, the Downloads folder.... Do not delete any system files...Then empty trash to free up the space...
4) When you launch Photos, you will be asked for the location of your iPhoto or Aperture libraries.. simply point at the Aperture library on your external Hard Drive... The new Photos library will then be created on your system drive... If you don't get that choice of importing, simply hold down the Option key when you click on the Photo's Icon to bring it up...

Net Price of PO increases when moving from one tab to another

Hi,
I have this issue where in a Service PO was created. Then as the user clicks on the tabs in item detail, the net price increases. I checked the vendors, parment terms and all of the currency settings and everything seems ok.
What seems to be the problem here?

Carriage Returns in HTML Code Creating Extra Spaces Between Elements

I've looked online all over and can't find the solution to my issue. I've found several pages explaining a similar event, but no solution.
When placing many divs next to each other, I would like to visually view the code as one div per line: (see image) To get this, I have to use hard returns in my code (this method makes editing a lot easier visually). But doing so adds extra spacing between the divs which turns a 3 column set of thumbnails to 2 colums. I can fix this if I adjust the physical margins between the divs, but this can't be the only fix.
The other fix is if I place the code back to back to back (see image): This makes the div's behave and appear as they should, but now the code is a visual mess because it's all cluttered.
What I want is to be able to use as many carriage returns in my code and for browsers to disregard these types of line breaks in the code. So essentially, how can I get away from these extra spaces when using hard returns in code?

I think that both your pages have a missing </div> at the end somewhere.
Opps... that happened when I was stripping down the page to create a working example of my issue. I've fixed the missing div and re-uploaded both pages. The problem is still there.
Change display: inline; to float: left; and add margin: 0 0 4px 4px; (as shown below)
I had already tried using float, but something else in the code was forcing the columns to 2 instead of 3.
Have you used "Apply Source Formatting" ?
I use that religiously. I'm quite anal about visually clean code.
Well, I just fixed the problem while replying... funny... I removed the margins from the actual img element (.imageThumb img) and placed it on the div which surrounds the img (.imageThumb). I also reapplied the float. Thanks all for the help - it helped me rethink. But I could have sworn I had once placed the margins on .imageThumb before and it didn't work.
