Extract values from an object trapped in TreeMap

I can't figure out how to get the balance of an account Object (consisting of name plus balance)which is stored in a TreeMap.
Normally it would go like this: For example
accounts[2].getBalance();
Normally would return the value for the specified account.
Can anybody help?
Thanks.
import java.util.*;
class Account
    private double theBalance    = 0.00;   // Balance of account
    private String theName       = "";
public static void main (String args[]) {
                Account accounts[] = new Account[4];
  TreeMap  accountsMap = new TreeMap();
  accountsMap.put( "0023", new Account( "Gordon", 100.0 ) );
  accountsMap.put( "0123", new Account( "James",  200.0 ) );
  accountsMap.put( "0001", new Account( "Edward", 300.0 ) );
  accountsMap.put( "7777", new Account( "Percy",  400.0 ) );
  BankStats  bs = new BankStats();
  LinkedList  r  = bs.accountsBelow( accountsMap, 250.0 );
  System.out.println(r);
    public Account( String name, double openingBalance )
      theBalance = openingBalance;
      theName    = name;
    public double getBalance()
      // assert theBalance >= 0.00;
      return theBalance;
    public String getName()
      return theName;
    public double withdraw( final double money )
      // assert theBalance >= 0.00;
      if ( theBalance >= money  )
        theBalance = theBalance - money;
        return money;
      } else {
        return 0.00;
    public void deposit( final double money )
      // assert theBalance >= 0.00;
      theBalance = theBalance + money;
class BankStats {
      public LinkedList accountsBelow (TreeMap accountsMap, double ammount) {
           LinkedList list1 = new LinkedList();
         for (int i = 0; i < 10000; ++i) {
           String no = Integer.toString(i);
           for (int z =0; no.length()<4 ; z++) {
                no= "0"+no;
            if (accountsMap.get(no)!= null) {
            System.out.println   (accountsMap.get(no));  // WANT TO GET THE BALANCE FOR THE ACC       OBJECT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS KEY (String no)
           if (accountsMap.get(no)< ammount) {
                             list1.add(accountsMap.get(no)); }
      return list1;}
      public LinkedList accountsBelowNotFrozen (Account accounts[], double ammount) {
           LinkedList list2 = new LinkedList();
         for (int i = 0; i < accounts.length; ++i) {
           String nam = accounts.getName();
if (accounts[i] != null) {
if (accounts[i].getBalance() < ammount & !nam.endsWith("[Frozen]")) {
          list2.add(accounts[i]); } } }
     return list2;}

Use this method call to retrieve the balance (or anything else):
Account acc = (Account) accountsMap.get(no)
double bal = acc.getBalance();or simply:
double bal = ((Account) accountsMap.get(no)).getBalance();

  • [Forum FAQ] SharePoint 2013: Extracting values from a multi-value enabled lookup column and merge values to a multi-value enabled column

    For some business requirements, users want to extract values from a multi-value enabled lookup column
    and add items to another list based on each separate value. In contrast, others want to find duplicate values in the list and merge associated values to a multi-value enabled column and then
    add items to another list based on the merged value. All of these can be achieved using SharePoint Designer 2013 Workflow.

    on each separate value using SharePoint Designer 2013.

    Steps to create Workflow
    How to
    extract values from a multi-value enabled lookup column and
    add items to another list based on each separate value using SharePoint Designer 2013.
    For example, they have three lists as below. They want to
    extract values from the Destinations column
    in Lookup2 and add items to Lookup3 based on each country and set Title to current item: ID.
    Lookup1:
    Title (Single line of text)
    Lookup2:
    Title (Single line of text), Destinations (Lookup; Get information from: Lookup1 in Title column).\
    Lookup3:
    Title (Single line of text), Country (Single line of text).
    Important action
    1. Loop Shape: SharePoint Designer 2013 support two types of loops: loop n times and loop with condition.
    Loops must also conform to the following rules:
    Loops must be within a stage, and stages cannot be within a loop.
    Steps may be within a loop.
    Loops may have only one entry and one exit point.
    2. Utility Actions: It contains many actions, such as ‘Extract Substring from Index of String’ and ‘Find substring in String’.
    Three scenarios
    We need to loop through the string returned from the look up column and look for commas. There are three
    scenarios:
    1.  No comma but string is non-empty so there is only one country.
    2.  At least one comma so there is at least two or more countries to loop.
    3.  In the loop we have consumed all the commas so we have found the last country.
    Things to note
    There are two things to note:
    1. "Find string in string (output to Variable:index)"  will return -1 if doesn't find
    the searched for string.
    2. In the opening statement "Set Variable: Countries to Current Item:Destinations" set the return
    field as  "Lookup Values, Comma Delimited".
    Steps to create Workflow
    Create a custom list named Lookup1.
    Create a custom list named Lookup2, add column: Destinations (Lookup; Get information from: Lookup1 in Title column).
    Create a custom list named Lookup3, add column: Country (Single line of text).
    Create a workflow associated to Lookup2.
    Add conditions and actions:
    Start the workflow automatically when an item is created.
    Add item to Lookup2, then workflow will be started automatically and create multiple items to lookup3.
    See the below in workflow History List:
    How to merge values to a multi-value enabled column and add item to another list based on the
    merged value using SharePoint Designer 2013
    For example, they have three lists as below. They want to find duplicate values in the Title column in

    Lookup3:
    Title (Single line of text), Country (Single line of text).
    Lookup2:
    Title (Single line of text), Test (Single line of text).
    Important actions
    "Call HTTP Web Service"
    action: In SharePoint 2013 workflows, we can call a web service using a new action introduced in SharePoint 2013 named Call HTTP Web Service. This action
    is flexible and allows you to make simple calls to a web service easily, or, if needed, you can create more complex calls using HTTP verbs as well as allowing you to add HTTP headers.
    “Build Dictionary"
    action:
    The Dictionary variable type is a new variable type in the SharePoint 2013 Workflow.
    The following are the three actions specifically designed for the Dictionary variable type: Build Dictionary, Count Items in a Dictionary and Get an Item from a Dictionary.
    The "Call HTTP Web Service" workflow action would be useless without the new "Dictionary" workflow action.
    Things to note
    The
    HTTP URI is set to https://sitename/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('listname')/items?$orderby=Id%20desc and the HTTP method is set to “GET”. Then the list will be sort by Id in descending order.
    Use Get
    d/results(0)/Id form
    Variable: ResponseContent (Output to
    Variable: maxid) to get the Max ID.
    Use Set
    Variable: minid to Current List:ID to get the Min ID.
    Use Copy from
    Variable: destianation , starting at
    1 (Output to
    Variable: destianation) to remove the space.
    Steps to create Workflow
    Create a custom list named Lookup1.
    Create a custom list named Lookup2, add column: Test (Single line of text).
    Create a custom list named Lookup3, add column: Country (Single line of text).
    Create a workflow associated to Lookup3.
    Add a new "Build Dictionary" action
    to define the http request header:
    Add a Call HTTP Web Serviceaction, click on
    this and paste your http request.
    To associate the
    RequestHeader variable, select the Call action property,
    set the
    RequestHeaders property to
    RequestHeader:
    In the Call action, click on
    response and associate the response to a new
    variable: ResponseContent (of type Dictionary).
    After the Call action add Get item from Dictionary action to get the Max ID.
    Add Set Workflow Variable action to get the Min ID.
    Add Loop Shape (Loop with Condition) to get all the duplicate titles and integrate them to a string.
    Create item in Lookup2.
    The final Stage should look like this:
    Start the workflow automatically when an item is created.
    Add item to Lookup3, then workflow will be started automatically and create item to lookup2.

    GREAT info, but it may be helpful to note that when replacing a portion of the variable "Countries" with a whitespace character, you may cause the workflow to fail in a few specific cases (certain lookup fields will not accept this and will automatically
    cancel).  I only found this out when recreating your workflow on a similar, but much more complex list set.
    To resolve this issue, I used another utility action (Extract Substring from Index of List) to clear out the whitespace.  I configured it as "Copy from
    Variable: Countries, starting at
    1 (Output to Variable: Countries), which takes care of this issue in those few cases.
    Otherwise, WOW!  AWESOME JOB!  Thanks!  :)

  • How to get attribute value from an object inside an object in Xpress

    Does anyone know how to get an attribute value from an object in Xpress in a workflow? I have an object structured as follows:
    <ResourceInfo accountId='mj628' tempId='3483372b787ce7dd:-5d99a0c5:130cb238483:-3600'>
    <ObjectRef type='Resource' name='Google Apps'/>
    </ResourceInfo>
    I need if possible to get the name='Google Apps', which is inside the ObjectRef, so I guess its an attribute value of an object inside an object.

    If the ResourceInfo object is accessible in a variable, i.e. named "myResInfo", you just have to check the Java API and call the relevant method:
    <invoke name='getResourceName'>
      <ref>myResInfo</ref>
    </invoke>

  • Problem extracting value from reference

    Hi all,
    I have a main VI where the user specifies a range for acquiring data. These values are then passed to a subVI which iterates a loop an according number of times. I have created a reference in the subVI which passes the position of the data acquisition in the range specified as I want to provide a progress bar which would be calculated as (max value - current value)/(maxvalue - minvalue).
    I created an indicator to show the current value on the main VI which is related to the reference I created and when I run the main VI I can see this value changing correctly. The problem is that I cannot find a way to wire this value into the formula above. I tried changing the indicator to a control, but the value is not passed.
    I have attached my code along with the subVIs to illustrate the problem. Current Frequency A increments correctly on the screen whereas Current Frequency B stays constant. I have also tried using local variables, property nodes and an OpenVIReference Node but none of these solve the problem.
    I'm sure this must be possible so if somebody could tell me the correct way to go about it then that would be much appreciated :-)
    Many thanks,
    Ian

    No worries - I managed to solve my own problem.
    I realised if I did the calculation and created the progress bar on the subVI and made the reference straight to that then it wouldn't required the need to bring a wire from the reference.
    Still, I'd be intrigued to know if I could've done it the other way tho...

    I need to extract MEETING from the text.
    I tried to use CHARINDEX and SUBSTRING but it's not returning the text I wanted.  I hope you can help me.
    select SUBSTRING(ID, CHARINDEX('_', ID,1+CHARINDEX('_', ID))+1, CHARINDEX('_', ID, 1+CHARINDEX('_', ID, 1+CHARINDEX('_', ID,1)))-1 ) from table
    Using the query above it's returning MEETING_600.

    Hi, thanks!  But would like to ask how can this be converted where it can get the column ID in a table, I'm still learning SQL.

    Hi,
    You need to declare the namespace of each element used in the XPath expression, like this :
    SQL> select extractvalue( XMLDATA
      2                     , '/samp:Field1/UTI/U01'
      3                     , 'xmlns:samp="http://www.oradev.com/chipsxml.xsd"' ) "XMLDATA"
      4  from chipsxmltable1 x
      5  ;
    XMLDATA
    No
    SQL> select extract( XMLDATA
      2                , '/samp:Field1/UTI'
      3                , 'xmlns:samp="http://www.oradev.com/chipsxml.xsd"'
      4                ).getstringval() "XMLDATA"
      5  from chipsxmltable1 x
      6  ;
    XMLDATA
    <UTI>
      <U01>No</U01>
      <U02>Y</U02>
      <U03>Y</U03>
      <U03a>Y</U03a>
      <U03b>Y</U03b>
      <U03c>Y</U03c>
      <U04>Y</U04>
      <U05>Y</U05>
    </UTI>
    Please see EXTRACT and EXTRACTVALUE documentation :

    BTW, "XMLDATA" is a pseudo-column used by Oracle. I don't know if it'll ever cause any conflict but maybe you should rename your column.

  • Extracting value from XML tags in Java

    Hi all,
    I need to extract the value from a string (XML Format). Eg. <Name>Ray</Name> and displaying Name: Ray
    The string value is like any other String class object except that it is format with XML tags. I have quite a few examples that shows how a value can be read from a .xml file but none that describe how to get a value from a String object.
    Thanks in advance.

                         DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
         DocumentBuilder parser = factory.newDocumentBuilder();

  • How can I insert values from table object into a regular table

    I have a table named "ITEM", an object "T_ITEM_OBJ", a table object "ITEM_TBL" and a stored procedure as below.
    CREATE TABLE ITEM
    ITEMID VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
    PRODUCTID VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
    LISTPRICE NUMBER(10,2),
    UNITCOST NUMBER(10,2),
    SUPPLIER INTEGER,
    STATUS VARCHAR2(2),
    ATTR1 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR2 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR3 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR4 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR5 VARCHAR2(80)
    TYPE T_ITEM_OBJ AS OBJECT
    ITEMID VARCHAR2(10),
    PRODUCTID VARCHAR2(10),
    LISTPRICE NUMBER(10,2),
    UNITCOST NUMBER(10,2),
    SUPPLIER INTEGER,
    STATUS VARCHAR2(2),
    ATTR1 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR2 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR3 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR4 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR5 VARCHAR2(80)
    TYPE ITEM_TBL AS TABLE OF T_ITEM_OBJ;
    PROCEDURE InsertItemByObj(p_item_tbl IN ITEM_TBL, p_Count OUT PLS_INTEGER);
    When I pass values from my java code through JDBC to this store procedure, how can I insert values from the "p_item_tbl" table object into ITEM table?
    In the stored procedure, I wrote the code as below but it doesn't work at all even I can see values if I use something like p_item_tbl(1).itemid. How can I fix the problem?
    INSERT INTO ITEM
    ITEMID,
    PRODUCTID,
    LISTPRICE,
    UNITCOST,
    STATUS,
    SUPPLIER,
    ATTR1
    ) SELECT ITEMID, PRODUCTID, LISTPRICE,
    UNITCOST, STATUS, SUPPLIER, ATTR1
    FROM TABLE( CAST(p_item_tbl AS ITEM_TBL) ) it
    WHERE it.ITEMID != NULL;
    COMMIT;
    Also, how can I count the number of objects in the table object p_item_tbl? and how can I use whole-loop or for-loop to retrieve values from the table object?

  • Error while extracting values from SOAP Body using XPath (Retrieve from Message filter)

    Hi,
    I am using 'Retrieve from Message' filter to extract element value from the following SOAP response envelope:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:math="http://example.com/math.xsd">

    <iResult>10</iResult>
    </math:DivideResponse>
    </soapenv:Body>

    I am using the XPath expression - /soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/math:AddResponse/iResult
    soapenv = http://example.com/math.xsd
    math = http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/

    Hi Aneesh,
    XPath Expression: /soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/math:DivideResponse/iResult
    You are using AddResponse in your XPath there is no element named like that.

  • How to extract values from pricing procedure for conditions in CRM Billing?

    I have a number of conditions in the pricing procedure in CRM Billing that I would like to extract to SAP BW. How can this be done?
    Is there a standard extractor for CRM Billing similar to the SD Billing extractor "Extraction of SD Billing Conditions" (2LIS_13_VDKON)?
    If there is no standard extractor, is there another way to extract the conditions and the related values?
    I am using the standard CRM Billing Extractor 0BEA_CRMB already, so maybe an append could solve my problem. How can this be done? In what CRM-tables can I find the values from pricing procedure for conditions in CRM Billing?

    you may want to post that last question in a CRM forum... in ECC it would be table KONV

  • Call http service extract value from person/group field

    Hi
    I have a list that has people or group field.
    When Runing my WF I want to get in to a variable the members of the group that is in people or group field.
    I would like to extract members from group using call http action.
    How can i start?
    which URL should i put in "Enter the HTTP service URL"?
    pleas your help.

    Hi,
    You can use the following URL to extract the members from group
    http://siteurl/_api/Web/SiteGroups/getbyname('groupname')/users
    You can create a workflow variable and extract the value from the people or group field
    Build the URL using as follows
    [%Workflow Context:Current Site URL%]/_api/Web/SiteGroups/getbyname([%Variable: GroupName%])/Users
    For more information how to use the Web Service in workflow use the following article.

  • Fetching UDF's values from usermanager object in OIM 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
    I am implementing a code to generate and update a random password using a post event handler. The idea is to append the iniatals (user login) of the user along with a UDF say (section_code). The label for section_code is "Sect Code" I am using 11g API's and the code is as:
    HashMap<String, Serializable> parameters = orch.getParameters();
    String user_Key = getParamaterValue(parameters , "User Login");
    String section_code = getParamaterValue(parameters , "Sect Code"); -- this is not fetching the valueand then getting these values from
    if(parameters.containsKey(key)){
    String value = (parameters.get(key) instanceof ContextAware) ? (String) ((ContextAware)
    parameters.get(key)).getObjectValue() : (String) parameters.get(key);
    return value;
    }But i noticed that User Login is getting fetched but the section code which is a UDF is not coming. Is there a way?

    Set<String> retAttrs = new HashSet<String>();
    retAttrs.add(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.USER_LOGIN.getId());
    retAttrs.add(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.EMPTYPE.getId());
    retAttrs.add("Floor");
    // Add any attributes you'd like here to return only specific attributes instead of whole set. This will cut down on time to search for users.
    //This code will order the list by usr_key
    HashMap<String, Object> parameters = new HashMap<String, Object>();
    parameters.put("STARTROW", 0);
    parameters.put("ENDROW", -1);
    parameters.put("SORTEDBY", "usr_key");
    parameters.put("SORTORDER", "SortOrder.ASCENDING");
    SearchCriteria criteria = new SearchCriteria(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.USER_LOGIN.getId(), userlogin, SearchCriteria.Operator.EQUAL);
    List<User> users = UserManager.search(criteria, retAttrs, parameters);
    //You can also use UserManager.search(criteria, null, null); if you do not want to supply the return attributes or parameters.
    User user = null;
    if (users.size()!=0) user = users.get(0);
    String employeeType = user.getAttributes().get(UserManagerConstants.AttributeName.EMPTYPE.getId()).toString();
    String floor = user.getAttributes.get("Floor").toString();
    //If there are more than 1 returned user, you can use for(User user:users){ loop through here   }

  • How to Get property values from Shared Object in client's load event - Very urgent

    I am using shared object to share data between two users. First user connect to shared object and set some value in shared object. Please consider that second user has not connected with the shared object yet.
    Now when second user connects to the server and try to get that property set by first user, he could get shared object but could not get properties of Shared object set by first user. I observed few times that Second user can get these properties within "Sync" event between two users. But I would like to get these values for Second user in any stage (i.e. in load event etc.). Whenever Second user tries to get the property of Shared object, the object will reset the actual property value and then return reset value.
    Anyone faced such issue while using shared object between two users. If so, I would appreciate if you could let me know your suggestions for following questions:
    1) Is there any way to get all the properties of shared object before sync event called, as I want to get it immediately when second user connect to the application and perform next task based on the values stored in shared object.
    2) Is it possible for second user to check whether any property has been set by first user? So that second user can use the property instead of reset it.
    Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You.

    Depending on the message the line number might be in one of the fields:
    MESSAGE_V1
    MESSAGE_V2
    MESSAGE_V3
    MESSAGE_V4
    Although if the message simply is not meant to include the line number, it won't be there. That's the way it is. If there is a user exit available, you may add your custom messages with the line number. In some user exits (in sales order for sure) there is a special variable (flag), which is set when the BAPI runs the transaction.

    How do i compare the input values with the ones in an
    object of another class ?By getting and comparing them?
    Can i copy values of one object of a class to
    different object of another class ?Yes, you can. But you shouldn't, as you're breaking encapsulation all over the place. You could use setter methods (if available) to set the values.
