Extracting an element of html stored in db
Hi All,
I am storing HTML document in database (11g) as a clob. I want to implement Full text searching, so I have created an index on this table and I am able to search the document with this index.
Now i want to extract a particular element from the result set (html doc).
I want to extract only the html Header element of my html doc (stored in db).
Can anyone help me in this?

Can anyone help me in this?Parsing HTML is quite complex. Unless it is XHTML compliant in which case you can use the integrated XML parser (and data type) in Oracle.
If the HTML element can be uniquely identified, then a standard search string function should work okay. But this is typically not the case, which means more complex logic is required to identify the position of the HTML element and the value that needs to be extracted.
So what you want to do depends entirely on the formatting of the HTML and the complexity of the identifying the content that you want to pull from it.

Evaluation of html stored in the database
Hello everyone, here is my story.
I have html stored in the database that I am using in regions. The region is a pl/sql anonymous block with code similar to this.
DECLARE
testt varchar(30000);
BEGIN
SELECT Main_Page_Image_Zone INTO testt FROM htmltable where Main_Page_Image_Zone IS NOT NULL;

It draws in and displays the html great. The only problem is apex isn't evaluating the html. I have an image that is drawing from #workspace_images#, but instead of translating this to something useful, I get a red x. It is trying to find the image as #workspace_images#...The html being drawn in isn't being evaluated like I want it to (I want it to translate #workspace_Images#). Any ideas how to evaluate this html?
Here is what the image location is supposed to look like

Replacing occurences of '#WORKSPACE_IMAGES' with 'WORKSPACE_IMAGES' in the database
and then applying the replace function on the column works.

Which table campaign element details are stored
Hi All,
Would anyone know which table campaign and campaign element details are stored? I am using CRM 2007 and i am looking to find where details such as campaign element ID, campaign element description, start/end date are stored?
i could not fund such data after looking through se16
Any assistance is much appreciated.

But doing it this way does not get me AECI as a column value. Is there any way to get the element name as a column value.

Extract cluster element names and values automatically
Dear Labview forum,
I would like to extract cluster element names and values automatically
without prior knowledge of the cluster element size or contents.
I am able to extract the names but have some trouble with the values. (see attached VI)
I wish to write each the cluster element name and value in a string, and then write the string to a new line in a file.

extract cluster element names and values automatically.vi 14 KBThis can become arbitrarily complex, because a cluster can contain many types of data, even other clusters, arrays, typedefs, etc. So getting a "value" of an element is not as easy as you might think. There is a reason you get a variant.
If all cluster elements are simple numerics you can use "variant to data" with the correct type. The attached shows a few possibilities. Modify as needed.

The Domain is KATYP and you can find cost element categ description in its value range
[genereic extraction possible for these texts...]

How to extract an element value from a String of HTML
I have a web service that returns a fragment of HTML that contains a number in a table. The return parameter type is a string. I need to get this number and use it in a BPEL while loop, as the condition for the loop (while the number > 0).
I have tried using the function bpws:getVariableData() but the BPEL PM faults and says: XPath expression failed to execute. Error while processing xpath expression. I think this is because I am trying to apply an XPath expression over a String variable.
The return value from my web service looks like this:

I realise too, a root element will be needed. This is not a mission critical problem as we could change the web service at the other end. It was originally designed for a client to display the results rather than use them within a business process. Anyway, I'm just interested to know if I can create a node from this string data in BPEL.

Transforming xml file with different elements into HTML
hi all !
i have an xml object that has been generated from database using java. the xml file has numerous elements that have been merged into single file. all elements have been got from different table :-

as it shows that each element "ROW" has data corresponding to different employee and with different details. actually these elemnt are the updates in an employee profile that have to be communicated to a distant located database. what i need is a tranformation into HTML so that the recieving user can view this file as html with relative headings of corresponding tables.
(the schema at both ends is exact replica)

the xml file has been created by importing multiple files resulted from XSU into a master file in java. we are running a web based project in a distributed environment. so i would need to make this page appear in a web browser with ACCEPT and REJECT command buttons as the receiver is the approving agent. what all i have thought of so far is to create a style sheet with templates of all heading of each table from where the data is coming from and then run a check on what table the data is from and place that specific heading on the entry. the style sheet would be placed at both ends so only the xml file will be transported and transformation would be done auto.
i hope it works. but am not sure wether its the right approach or not. -

Viewing HTML stored in database in Dreamweaver
For the longest time, I have tried to figure out how to
access, view and edit html/php code stored in a database. I build
most of my sites using the Joomla CMS so all of the content is
stored within its database. When I am working on a page, I need to
open the site, go into HTML view, copy the code, paste it into DW,
make my changes and then copy it back to the CMS.
What I want to do is create a direct DB connection so that I
can open, edit and save the changes all from within DW. Is there
any way to do this?The thing is I don't know if DW has the ability to extend in
that manner because it would affect the way in which DW connects to
the database which seems to me to be a bit above and beyond what
the extensions were designed to do. I personally have not designed
extensions, but maybe one of the PVII guys who hang around this
forum or even Murray might be able to shed some light on this
subject.
The reason I don't believe it can do this right now is
because it does not have the database editing technologies built
into it, although I do believe that might not be a bad feature to
recommend (

). I know it is too late for CS4 because that is already in the
beta stages and not too far from production from the looks of it
and what has been discussed on the CS4 forums. Probably a couple
small patches and it is ready to go. Although it is possible for
the CS5 release which should also see PHP4 support going
away. -

Ken is correct, the Organizer only catalogs the images and doesn't store them in a secret location.
Just to clarify things more, when you use the downloader, then that will copy your images from your card or camera to where you specify. It then adds them to the catalog.
In Organzer, if you use get from files and folders, then the Organizer just records the location of each image it doesn't copy them to a secret location.
In both cases, the organizer will update it's thumbnail database with a small copy of each image.
What can confuse people in Windows 7 is the introduction of library's. Library's are an alternative way to look at your files. This means that if your image is stored in a folder which also is contained within a library, you will be able to see the image using folder views or library views. There is still only one copy of the image.
If you are unsure where an image is stored, click on the thumbnail in organizer and then use Alt+Enter (this will toggle the properties window). On the first (general) tab, the folder location is shown at the bottom.
The organizer will make a copy if you do a backup. As well as backing up the catalog and other databases, each image is copied and given a different name. These backup copies should not be deleted as your restore will fail.
