Extracting custom attributes problem

Dear all,
i have created custom characteristic with custom attributes, i need to fill that master data. i have selected this char as info provider and created transformation and  dtp. When i load data into psa it has 80 records, however when i load that master data, it gives success message saying 80 records read, 4 records updated into master data.
I have no delta update or anything else. What is wrong?
Thanks

Hi,
Did you loaded the records for the first time in the master data??
Was this object already used in some cubes or DSO and you are adding attributes now??
It is possible that depending upon the master data key...that is key of the P table the records got overwritten.
The manage option does shows wrong records added sometime and you should check the detail in the moitor to check how many records got added.
Also it will show added records onlyy for the new values of the key....if already the key values was stored in the SID table...then it will not show them as added but only new values will show up as added.
Thanks
Ajeet

  • Extracting custom attributes for individual objects

    CRM service maintain those custom attributes and set types. By checking the 'BW relevant', it generates all the custom data sources for BW. The data sources are in $tmp, but can be viewd in RSO2.
    Those custom attributes can be added to 0crmp_prod and updated via flexible update from those generated datasource. My concern is that it creates a lot of maintenance depending on the number of set types maintained in CRM. Currently there are about 50 set types being maintained in CRM, which means additional 50 transfer rules for 0crm_prod.
    My question is whether there is more efficient way to handle this situation.
    Thanks for any suggestion.

    It sounds as if your custom attributes may not have been created properly which is leading to your current problem. When creating a new attribute, one of the final steps is adding it to a specific 'Class'.  This is where you choose
    Computer or User or any other specific need you have.  It sounds very much like this is the piece that has been missed.
    To fix it you'll first need to clean out the User specific pieces that have gotten into the system.  Easier said than done, I understand, but it will be crucial going forward.  Once cleaned, add the attributes to the Computer class one at a time
    using the Active Directory Schema admin tool.  You will need to be a member of the Enterprise Admins to add yourself into the Schema Admins and please remember to remove yourself after you are done (Best Practice).

  • UWL refresh problem for ABAP BOR custom attributes

    Hi all,
    we are facing an issue with an UWL iView. We wanted to display custom attributes from an ABAP Business Object (ABAP_BOR).
    The feature is working but when an end-user receives a new task in his UWL view, he needs to click on the refresh button in order to have all the custom attributes correctly displayed.
    We have only the problem with custom attributes, for the columns containing standard workflow decision task attributes, the data are displayed directly without the need to push the refresh button.
    We are on EP 7 SPS11 and the back-end is an ECC6 version.
    We have followed the methodology described in the How to configure and customize the Universal Worklist pdf document:
    ABAP BOR
    <CustomAttributeSource id="ABAP_BOR"
    objectIdHolder="externalObjectId"
    objectType="FORMABSENC"
    cacheValidity="final">
    <Attribute name="COSTCENTER" type="string"
    displayName="Cost Center"></Attribute>
    <Attribute name="FIRSTDAYOFABSENCE" type="date"
    displayName="First day of absence"></Attribute>
    <Attribute name="LASTDAYOFABSENCE" type="date"
    displayName="Last day of absence"></Attribute>
    </CustomAttributeSource>
    Do you have an idea where this problem come from and how it could be solved?
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Sébastien BODSON

    Hi Chintan,
    This parameter has no impact on the problem we face. I found an exact description of our problem on SAP Help portal, in the UWL pages:
    CustomAttributes, CustomAttributeSource and Attribute
    Extract from SAP Help portal:
    Every item type can have custom attributes defined, which can be filled from Business Object or Provider Data Containers like the Business Workflow Container or the Alert Container. These attribute sources are defined within the CustomAttributeSourcetag, which contains information on which attribute connector brings the custom attributes, how to identify these custom attributes in the provider system and how long the cache is valid.
    Note that once an item arrives, these custom attributes are retrieved in additional calls to the backend. For performance reasons, in order to minimize responses times to the end user, this may happen while the item is displayed to the end user - causing such attributes to be empty initially and only to appear in subsequent requests.
    The display names of the attributes for column headers and labels are defined in the display attributes of the default view of the item type.
    Does anyone know a workaround in order to have directly the complete information displayed?

  • Problem using multiple choice LOV with custom attribute in IAS 10.1.2.0.2

    Hi
    When aplying a multiple choice and selecting multiple selection and saving in the content area , everything looks fine .
    However when looking at the page the selection is only the first one selected and not the miltiple choices I made
    can someone tell me what is going on , does the miltiple selection with custom attribute
    works ??
    thanks in advance

    I don't really understand what you're doing but I used lot of LOV in custom attributes on my custom items and everything works fine.
    Can you explain more your problem ?

  • Problem with setting custom attribute and it being searchable

    I'm having an issue with setting a custom attribute and having it be searchable using Portal 10.1.4. The situation that we have is that we initially added a bunch of files to Oracle Portal using webdrive. Later on, we decided that we needed another custom attribute called "Pinned Item" that will be used for searching (boolean value) and gave it a default value of false. The attribute was then added to the "File" item type in the "Shared Objects" group.
    It appears that since this attribute wasn't initially available on the file object, we couldn't search on it so we decided to set it programatically. First, I tried using wwsbr.set_attribute but it errored out seemingly because the value wasn't set in the first place. If I set a value first by using the web front end, I could then use the set_attribute procedure.
    So, I moved on to using wwsbr_api.modify_item and it appears to set it (although everything is being set to false until I changed it to "text" instead of "boolean" which is OK because that's what I wanted anyway... see metalink bug 390618.1). I'm using the method outlined in metalink doc 413079.1. When I do set it to a "1", and edit the item the check box is checked indicating that it is set correctly. And if I just click "OK" to save the attributes after I open it everything works like it should.
    However, the advanced search (and custom search portlet) and the search APIs are not picking it up. I'm not sure if I'm hitting Metalink bug ID 5592472 or not as that's using the "set_attribute" procedure instead of the modify_item procedure. And their "workaround" of setting the attribute in the UI isn't really feasible for a couple thousand files.
    So far I've tried the following things to get it working:
    1. I am calling wwpro_api_invalidation.execute_cache_invalidation
    2. I have executed wwv_context.sync
    3. I cleared the page group cache
    4. I invalidated all of the web cache
    Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

  • Problem in custom attributes in a B.O.

    Hi all,
    I've defined a custom virtual multiline attribute (a list of WBEs) in a B.O. (ZFIPP) and it correctly works using SWO1. Now I've added another custom attribute that needs the previous one to fill a table of corresponding agents, but when I debug the code of the second attribute the first table is empty. When I complete the run the first table is instead correctly filled.
    Is it possible to define an attribute that uses another one and how can I check the order in which they are filled?
    I used the following instruction at the beginning of the second attribute's code:
    SWC_GET_TABLE CONTAINER 'WBSElements' OBJECT-WBSELEMENTS.
    where WBSElements is the first table mentioned above.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards,
    Angelo

    Thanks a lot, Ramki.
    I've changed the first code line in
    SWC_GET_PROPERTY self 'WBSElements' OBJECT-WBSELEMENTS.
    and now it works!

  • Problem using multiple choice LOV with custom attribute

    v 9.0.2
    I cannot find how to use a LOV as a check box or a multiple select for a custom attribute. It shows up as a combo box whatever setting I choose for the default format field in the LOV wizard.
    I need to give the opportunity to choose more than one option from the LOV for the attribute when adding the custom item associated with the attribute. How do I do this?

  • Custom Attributes in Target Group Email Campaign Not Refreshed

    We have a campaign sending emails to a target group of BPs.  To fill our custom attributes with values  we have implemented our code in badi CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI method CRM_IM_BPSELE.  We tested our code using the Test Send feature from the email form and all worked fine.
    But when we ran the campaign in the background for a Target Group with multiple BPs it would not work correctly, our attribute values were incorrect.
    We discovered while debugging the job, that the badi gets run once for each BP, but the attribute values from the previous BP do NOT get refreshed.  In fact there are 2 entire sets of attribute records in the CT_ATT_VALUES table parameter.  Each time through it multiplies by another set of our attributes.
    I have put code in the badi as a workaround that deletes the previously filled attributes for the previous BP, but I'd like to figure out what is causing this problem.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Lee

    Hi Lee,
    Is this issue resolved for you now??
    I am facing the similar problem.
    Though the BADi is not used for these two mails (it is used in some other mail forms), it is actually called in 'CRM_ERMS_MAIL_COMPOSE' Function Module and the process is same as u said. There are 2 sets of values.
    I am using a Mail Alert functionality where in a 'Mail Alert ON' is sent to field engineers (FE) and then upon FE accepting the work we will send a 'Mail Alert OFF' to FEs.
    Problem is, we get one or two fields data incorrectly sometimes. I am not able to find out the root cause yet.
    Please let me know if you have had any resolution to this!
    Thanks in advance.

  • How can i add custom attributes to a new Class Object using the API ?

    Hello everyone,
    Here is my problem. I just created a subclass of Document using the API (not XML), by creating a ClassObjectDefinition and a ClassObject. Here is the code :
    // doc is an instance of Document
    ClassObject co = doc.getClassObject();
    ClassObjectDefinition cod = new ClassObjectDefinition(ifsSession);
    cod.setSuperclass(co);
    cod.setSuperclassName(co.getName());
    cod.setName("MYDocument");
    ClassObject c = (ClassObject)ifsSession.createSchemaObject(cod);
    Everything seems to be OK since i can see the new class when i use ifsmgr. But my question is : how can i add custom attributes to this new class ? Here is what i tried :
    AttributeDefinition value = new AttributeDefinition(ifsSession);
    value.setAttribute("FOO", AttributeValue.newAttributeValue("bar"));
    c.addAttribute(value);
    But i got the following error message :
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException: IFS-30002: Unable to create new LibraryObject
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01400: impossible d'insirer NULL dans ("IFSSYS"."ODM_ATTRIBUTE"."DATATYPE")
    oracle.ifs.server.S_LibraryObjectData oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.DMNewSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.server.S_LibraryObjectDefinition)
    oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObject oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.NewSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObjectDefinition)
    oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObject oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.createSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObjectDefinition)
    void fr.sword.ifs.GestionDocument.IFSDocument.createDocument(java.lang.String)
    void fr.sword.ifs.GestionDocument.IFSDocument.main(java.lang.String[])
    So, what am i doing wrong ?
    More generally, are we restricted in the types of the attributes ? (for example, would it be possible to add an attribute that would be an inputStream ? Or an object that i have already created ?).
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume,
    you're welcome. Don't know exactly, but assume that ATTRIBUTEDATATYPE_UNKNOWN
    is used to check for erronous cases only
    and it shouldn't be used otherwise.
    Creating your own objects could be simply done via
    ClassObject ifsClassObject;
    DocumentDefinition ifsDocDef = new DocumentDefinition(ifsSession);
    // get class object for my very own document
    ifsClassObject = ClassObject.getClassObjectFromLabel(ifsSession, "MYDOCUMENT");
    // set the class for the document i'd like to create
    ifsDocDef.setClassObject(ifsClassObject);
    // set attributes and content for the document...
    ifsDocDef.setAttribute("MYFOO_ATTRIBUTE",....);
    ifsDocDef.setContent("This is the content of my document");
    // create the document...
    PublicObject doc = ifsSession.createPublicObject(ifsDocDef);

  • Help needed in Inbox search for Custom attribute

    Hi,
    We have  a requirement where in we are having a custom attribute on Service request to store the ECC Order number.
    We have enhanced the Inbox search to retreive all the service requests havig the ECC order number.
    Here we are encountering a problem. i just created a new crm service request and entered order number 1234. and now when i search for the same in Inbox search giving the criteria order number as 1234. I get no results found. But when i extend the max list to 2000, then i see the service request appearing in the result list. not sure about the algorithm that is designed for inbox search.
    Any pointers on how to resolve this issue would be of great help.
    Thanks,
    Udaya

    Hi,
    I do not have the time to research this completely, but I had a short look into the class you posted.
    In the GET_DYNAMIC_QUERY_RESULT there is a call to CL_CRM_QCOD_HELPER->PREPROCESS( )
    A little bit lower there are blocks marked by comments for the single searches that are handled by this class. I had a look into the campaign_serach() method. There if you scroll a little bit down (around line 123) they set all search parameters to SIGN = 'I' OPTION = 'EQ'. This is done several times below as well.
    Set a breakpoint in the proprocess() method and check which of the blocks is called and how they handle your search criteria.
    Hope it helps.
    cheers Carsten

  • How to Access Custom Attributes created in UME.

    Hi All,
    I have created a custom attribute in UME by using the config tool, the problem that i was facing is i am unable to access those custom attributes via Iuser Api i.e even though i am using the method getAttributeNamespaces() it is returning all the attributes except the custom attributes that i have created in UME.

    Hi Experts,
      I need to add custom attribute(defined in Customer_i) to BTADMIN_I (list type) context node. I have tried adding the attribute using the 'Create Attribute' wizard in the work bench making use of the BOL Model relationship. The attribute is added but it is always display only. • MDM Custom attributes

    Hi gurus,
    I'm working with SRM-MDM Catalog 1.0
    I'm facing this problem.
    I have imported some item with custom attributes (MDM Import Manager), i have mapped fields and values.
    In MDM Data Manager items are present but the custom atributes are not present.
    Can you help me please?
    I'll reward points for useful answers.
    Thanks in advance
    Gg

    Hi Gg,
    I guess you haven't imported attributes thats why you are seeing only item hierarchy in data manager and not the attributes.
    Follow these steps:
    1] To import item hierarchy:
         Source Table : Your file with Hierarchy (Partition Field).
         Destination Table : Repository Taxonomy Table.
    2] To Import Attributes:
          Source Table : File with list of custom attributes
           Destination Table : Repository Taxonomy [Attributes]. Thisis a seperate table which we can access through import manager.
    3] To Import Attribute vaues:
          Source Table : File with list of custom attributes and values.
           Destination Table : Repository Taxonomy [Text Values]. Again a seperate table which we can access through import manager.
    4] To link Attibutes with Items:
         Source Table : File with list of custom attributes and items.
           Destination Table : Repository Taxonomy [Link Attribute]. Seperate table which we can access through import manager.
    Once you done with all these steps you should be able to see Item Hierarchy , Linked custom attributes and attribute Values.
    Please let me know if this helps.
    Regards,
    Amol.

  • How to extract custom label from page item

    I´m trying to extract custom labels from a page item -a rectangle in this case-, inside a document observer:
         UIDRef pageItemRef=iCommand->GetItemList()->GetRef(0);
         InterfacePtr<IScript> script(pageItemRef,IID_ISCRIPT);
         IScriptLabel::ScriptLabelKeyValueList tags = script->GetTags();
    as sugested here -> http://forums.adobe.com/thread/747080?tstart=0  but I always get script=nil
    Regards

    I solved.
    Problem was that I was trying to get IScript interface once observer command was in kDone state -it was a delete command-.
    Thus, page items did not exist anymore when I was trying to get their custom labels.
    I changed it, making test during kNotDone state.

  • Unable to extract Customer Master data from MDC

    Hello,
    We creating an MDM-XI-ERP2005 Customer scenario. We want to work with all bussiness scenarios (not customizing scenario).
    First I'm trying to extract Customer Master Data from EP 2005 using MDM_CLNT_EXTR.
    I have created a New Variant which properties are:
    Variant: CUSTOMER_TOTAL
    Description: Send all customer data to MDM
    Extraction Object: CUSTOMER_EXTRACT.
    Target System: PI7.
    But, the display jobs shows the following error: Could not determine recipients for message type MDMRECEIPT. Job cancelled after system exception.
    We need to focus the problem. We have done the following ALE configuration.
    SALE transaction:
    In Basic Settings -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System we have add the following logical systems:
                  EUS100
                  MDM: Master Data Management
                  PI7: Process Integration 7.0
    WE21:
    Transactional RFC -> PI7, IDOC record types SAP Release 4.x

    Add message type: Model iview: PFMC
                                 Sender: EUS100
                                  Receiver: PI7
                                 Message Type: DEBMDM
    WE20 transaction shows:
    Partner profiles -> Partner Type LS (logical system)
                        PI7: Outbound parmtrs. DEBMDM, SYNCH.
    Any idea will be very helpful,

    Sorry because I made a mistake in my previous message. ALE seems to be correctly configured. I'll try to update correctly my current situation:
    In WE02 I can see al IDOCs that I'm trying to send to XI. All them have the IDoc Status = 3 (Data Passed to Port OK) instead of 12 Status Dispatch OK :(. So, It seems an tRFC error.
    SM58 shows me more trails: "Basic type 'DEBMDM06' is unknown"
    before that I have done the following steps at SAP ERP:
        1. WE21: I have created a PI7 port with 700PI70CLNT RFC.
        2. SM59: I have checked successfully 700PI70CLNT RFC connection.
        3. WE20: I have created a PI7 Partner Type LS with the following inbound and outbound parameters: DEBMDM and MDMRECEIPT.
        4. BD64: I have created a Distribution Model with DEBMDM and MDMRECEIPT message types.
    and at SAP PI:
         5.IDX: Port: SAPEUS. Client: 111. RFC Destination: PI7.
         6. technical and business system for sender SAP system(System Landscape Directory)...
    - Maybe some of the previous steps is not correct....
    - Is RFC Destination = PI7 is correct in step #5?
    - Is also necessary to configure more steps in PI system like RFC destinations or Transactional port?
    - I have read that is neccessary to check that the option "transfer idoc immediately" in we20. How?
    Please any idea will be very helpful.......
    Thank you!

    Marta.
