Extracting data into two ODS at same time

Hi experts,
I am on BW 3.5, and was wondering if the possible scenario is possible;
We are extracting 6.5 million recs from our R/3 system into ODS 1.
But the records should split up and either go into ODS 1 or ODS 2 depending on its company code.
I know this can be done by creating two datasources and using two different Modules we could decide what goes and what doesn't, but this would require two extractions, one per module.
I want to know if there is a way this can be done with one extraction,
e.g. the extraction would be to ODS 1, and in the update rules start routine is it possible to decide if the record belongs in ODS 1 or ODS 2,
if it is ODS 2 can we write from this update rule to another ODS????

Hiya Santhosh,
currently I have created two update rules one to each ODS. The problem is the load to ODS 1 is 6.5 million + recs, while the load to ODS 2 is 20,000 recs.
The extraction from R/3 takes about 4 + hours, so I would have to perform the extraction twice to populate them both, which is a waste of time for the 20,000 recs.
Is it possible to get all the recs in in one extract and then dictate what ODS it populates without creating a third ODS to initially populate????

You can INSERT into both tables within one Transaction but not in one statement. By the way, you would need to alter your dbo.Test1 table to allow null for first INSERT test2_id column

Can not extract data into BW from SQL SERVER

Dear All,
I meet a problem to extract data from database(MS SQL Server 2000(sp3)) into BW now and can not extract data into BW ODS, even PSA, In the monitor, display yellow light(0 from 0 record), detail message just display message "data request arranged" "confirmed with: confirmation" in requests(message) step; "missing message: request received" in extract (message) step; "no data" in processing(data packet) step and so on. but in fact, there are two records in my database test table and DB connection is OK. Even I can extract data from another test oracle database into BW ODS successfully.
Our BW system has two BW applicaton server and use oracle database. the one application server locates on IBM AIX host. the another one locates on one NT server. the application server on NT server is used for data extration from MS SQL SERVER database into BW oracle database. and MS SQL SERVER and NT platform application server locate on same one host. DBSL was installed on the NT application server already. and DB connector also was created successfully for MS SQL SERVER and datasource also was generated. DBSL type is Kernel640-WIN-IA32bit-unicode. my BW system is ECC5.0/UNICODE/ORACLE. all table/view/field name of MS SQL server is upcase and have not any specific character. for example: ZDEMO etc.

Hi Hara Pradhan,
You have to create 3 update rules by giving the 3 different infosources while creating each update rule. And u have to create the infopackages under each infosource. with this u can load the data to the same data target from multiple info sources.

I am on Wifi (connected) and at the same time I am on a voice call. when I switch to my RSS feed reader it does not sync it comes out with a message cannot connect to internet, I thought it is a problem with the feed reader application, IE 10 behaves the same I cannot browse when I am on a voice call.
This is a very basic issue, am I missing something? Please help.

I'm using the toolkit to insert data into two separate worksheets in Excel using named cells. The problem is that it tends to favor one sheet or the other. In other words, one sheet will have data and the other no data and vice versa. (Sometimes I get data in both sheets.) Is there something I can do to clear this up or is what I'm trying to do unreasonable? I would like to use two worksheets so one sheet receives text and data. The other sheet is used to format the data into a printable report. (i.e. using Excel's CONCATENATE function) The second (report) sheet is also used to receive plots (JPEG files) from LabVIEW. I'd send the plot images to the first sheet, but I can
not see a way to automatically transfer images from sheet to sheet. I'm using LV 7.1, Win2000 and Toolkit v.1.0.1

You can use the "Excel Get Worksheet.vi" under All Functions >> Report Generation >> Excel Specific >> Excel General to specify a particular worksheet as the current worksheet. Then, you can specify which worksheet you want to write to in your VI.

Error while extracting data into 0GL_ACCOUNT

Hi all,
        Initialize delta Process has been done successfully for extracting data into 0GL_ACCOUNT using DataSource 0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR.
However when using Delta Update for extracting data, the following error is displayed: 'ALE change pointers are not set up correctly' & is asking to activate the change pointer in BD61(Source System).
I am not exactly sure of what i am supposed to do in BD61. Plz help.

That is right that the USB data oins are not connected to +5V pin.

The description say: data pin D- need a voltage level of 2V and D+ 2,857V
when the data pins have this special voltage levels and VCC has +5V only then the iPad is charging.
The voltage "D+/D- coding" is the key for the iPad to charge.
OK now back to my problem.
The regular USB data pin voltage level is 0,3 - 3.,0 voltage. When the iPad is charging the data pins have this special voltage level. Now i try to transmit data over the usb data pins with the. Normaly the USB port transmit the data with a voltage level of max. 3V.
And here my problem. The higher voltage level at the data pins cares therefor that the iPad stop the charging.
Is that correct?

My requirement is to insert data into two tables at once. I have a XS JS app and want to update these tables via xsjs. How can I do this ?
Is there any mechanism like sql 'transactions' also in Hana ? If yes, how can I call it via xsjs ? If not, what are the ways to populate two different tables at once.

There is nothing special about inserting into two tables at once in XSJS. Just issue two separate SQL Statements. Don't execute the COMMIT until after both commands. That way they are all one transaction.

Loading data into two files

Hi
I have written sql loader script for loading data into two tables.
Script is working ..But output is not coming properly.
I want to load data into first table which lines are having first char 'R'.
In the second table I have to load data which are related from the first line. Incase
first line data is not properly (means discarded) then related second table data
will not be load.
But I am getting both rows.Though the first table record is discarded. Please find below
the output.

Pl post details of OS and database versions.
Create a foreign key constraint between the detail table and the master table. If the row fails to load into the master table, then the detail table rows will fail the foreign key constraint and will not load.

Loading data into two cubes

We want to set up a delta refresh from R/3 data that will pull data into two cubes. One cube I want all the records to be loaded, in the second cube I want to filter the records that are loaded into that cube. I can figure out how to load the data into two cubes, but can I place a filter on one of the loads. (i.e. only load records of where type = 'X')

You can do that in the Update Rules to the second cube... In the Start Routine...
DELETE FROM DATA_PACKAGE
WHERE type EQ 'X'.
(Please, verify the right syntax)
Then with only one Infopackage, you can load both cube with different conditions.
