Extracting the largest code from a specific section in the report

I have a report that has 8 sections, called Report Areas. Each area is limited by a range of codes (Group1). For the whole report the codes range from 01 to 93. There is one particular area in the report, Area 2, that spans 01 to 29. I need to extract the largest code from Area 2 but I never know from one time to the next when running the report what codes will be included. There could be any number of codes in a particular run of the report. I could have 1, 3,4,5, 7, 11, & 16 one time and 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 12, 21, 23, and 28 the next. I tried this formula:If {CBIRptTotalSummary.ReportArea} = 2ThenNthLargest (1, {CBIRptTotalSummary.Group1})This consistently printed 93 in Area 2 of the report since 93 is the largest code of Group1 in the report. I've tried numerous other formulas and I can't get Crystal to look only at the groups contained in Area 2 and tell me what the largest group is in that area. How would I accomplish this? If you want to download the displayed list in the Excel file,then at the time when the list is displayed on the screen, you can go to System option on the menu bar,from there go to List and then Save.You will get a pop up which shows you all the formats of download available.Select the one you want to and mention the target path of the file on the Presentation server.
Secondly,you can use the T-codes "CG3Y" to download the data from the Application Server to the Presentation Server and T-code "CG3Z" for vice-versa.
Or else you can use any of the FMs to first download the ABAP list to the ASCII or the BIN format and then convert it to excel using the FM "SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT" or "TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP

Sure. One thing you could do would be to have a servlet that fetches html from a given url and stores the html in a jsp bean. You can then use the data in this bean to populate the text area.

1. Login in BIP;
2. Edit your report;
3. Choose View List (On the right side, next to View Thumbnails);
4. Choose from Output Format LOV - Data CSV and uncheck the other formats.
5. Save the report and scheduled it again.

Extracting operators and operands from the source code

Hi there,
I am looking for a way to extract operators and operands from a source code to do a complexity analysis of the code. The final outcome I am expecting is to get the number of operators and operands in the code, to perform a Halstead Complexity Analysis.
Please let me know how this parsing can be done apart from just doing a sequential search of the content in the file.

Common way to analyze code is to defining the things you are interested in using some approproate language and then using a parser generator (or compiler compiler = cc). I used antlr some time ago for this reason. Perhaps you want to take a look at it:

Is there a way to play an mp4 file at the beginning of a published project only when the project is accessed from a specific site?
A little background info. I use Captivate 7 and currently have over 100 projects that I maintain on a quarterly basis. I publish using the SWF format and upload the swf/htm files to a server where they are then accessed from a few locations (within our online documentation, in our software product, on two different websites). Many of the projects are linked so some will be viewed as a series and others viewed as a standalone video. Each video uses the same template and includes an intro and end slide. Now my organization wants to implement a new intro to all videos (those I publish and those from several groups across the organization). My current intros provide overview material for the specific video so the new intro, which is an animation with audio in mp4 format, would need to be placed at the start of each project. The issue is, the intro adds 9 seconds to every video and in many cases doesn’t add any value (say, if a user accesses the video from within our product or views the videos as a series). I’ve talked it over with my boss and we want to try to add the intro only to videos accessed from site X, not any other location. So now to my question. Is there a way to play an external mp4 file (intro) only when the published project is accessed from a specific site, therefore eliminating the need to update each project? Maybe there's a way to add a parameter or variable to the URL or the html code?

I have a solution for you. You may have to modify the code a little bit based on how long the timeline animation is for your clock. I based mine on 3 seconds to complete a minute hand sweep around the clock.
Milliseconds for each point on the clock:
12 = 0
1 = 250
2 = 500
3 = 750
4 = 1000
5 = 1250
6 = 1500
7 = 1750
8 = 2000
9 = 2250
10 = 2500
11 = 2750
In the mouseover section for 12 o' clock, put this code...

When you point to the time, the setInterval method loops every 100th of a second and checks the current position of the timeline. When the timeline reaches the range between 0 and 50 milliseconds (almost impossible to hit 1 specific point), the timeline will stop at 0. Also, the clearInterval will be fired to stop the loop.
In the mouseout section, put this...
sym.play();
clearInterval(myVar);
It start the clock again, and it also clears the loop in case you mouseout before you reach the range.
Make sure that myVar is a global variable so you can clear it from the mouseout section.
Repeat this for each point on the clock. To avoid potential conflicts, you may want to use my12, my1, my2, etc. instead of myVar. I put the milliseconds at the top that you would use as the beginning of the range. 50 milliseconds should be enough to catch it. So, for 5 o' clock, you would make your range between 1250 and 1300.

What is the best alternative to exclude results from a specific site collection

We want to exclude results from a specific site collection (for example http://server/sites/demo").
A few ways are being considered:
1. Copy the Local SharePoint Results Result Source and edit it not to include results from that site collection and then set the new custom result source as default.
2. Edit the Search Results WP in the "Everything" tab to exclude those results (edit the query there)
3. Set a query rule on "Local SharePoint Results" to exclude the results from the Demo Site Collection

Hi Keren,
Modifying the Local result xlt will give you the most granularity but it is also arguably more challenging because of the "editing code" portion
On your search page you could append a query string via the search webpart but that may not get granular enough.
In the past I have used search scopes to exclude items in search results. Depending on the specific requirement it may be a quick and easy way to accomplish your task. it really depends on how ganular you need to get with excluding items from results.
A search scope can be setup be going to:
1. Site Actions (of the site collection you want to apply this to)
2. Click on Site Settings
3. Under site Collection Administration ( you have to be a site collection admin or farm admin to be able to see this section)
4. click on "Search Scopes"
5. Click on New Scope
6. Name it, fill out any other options you want and click "ok"
7. Click on your newly created search scope.
8. click on "new rule"
9. Fill out the fields based on your requirements and then click "OK"
10. I believe you will want to wait for a search to index to run before this scope will return any results.

I have a hierarchy within Accounts dimension which I need to move to the other application in the different environment. I donot want to move the whole dimension. I just need to move a hierarchy. Is there a way I can extract a hierarchy in Parent child format with properties and move the same in to the next one.

Below code assumes that you have 2 alias tables and assymetric hierarchy (having 4 to 6 levels) in accounts and all level 0 accounts are 6 digits. If you wish to remove the second alias table from the code simply remove references to it (i.e. aliastbl_id=50030). You can customize the extract top level member by modifying this section: (select object_id from hsp_object where object_name='Total Expenditure')
This outputs the structure in a fixed columnar format having all levels in different columns.

Unable to extract the data from ECC 6.0 to PSA

Hello,
I'm trying to extract the data from ECC 6.0 data source name as 2LIS_11_VAHDR into BI 7.0
When i try to load Full Load into PSA , I'm getting following error message
Error Message: "DataSource 2LIS_11_VAHDR must be activated"
Actually the data source already active , I look at the datasource using T-code LBWE it is active.
In BI on datasource(2LIS_11_VAHDR) when i right click selected "Manage" system is giving throughing below error message
"Invalid DataStore object name /BIC/B0000043: Reason: No valid entry in table RSTS"
If anybody faced this error message please advise what i'm doing wrong?

When i try to schedule the InfoPakage it's giving error message "Data Source is not active"
I'm sure this problem relate to Data Source 3.5 to 7.0 convertion problem in production. In Development there is no problem because manually i convert the datasource 3.5 to 7.0

Print a section from a specific printer tray

I have a report where a specific section (that contain a bank giro slip) need to be printed from a specif tray of my digital printer, because need a special kind of paper.
I can do with Crystal Report? Or I need a third part application? There is one?

CR cannot do this. You could create a an application to print just the one page to that tray. If so you will need a developer available and then post your question to the Developer forum if you need help.

How can I extract the two channels from a stereo track?

I am writing a class that is able to draw an audio signal. It seems to be working well but I have a question. If I load a mono audio file I am able to draw it on a graph by using the byte[] array and everything is ok until now. That's the code:

The results is correct only if I have a mono track. Obviously when I get a stereo track the array becomes very large so here the question. How can I extract the two audio channels from a stereo track?

A mono audio stream is stored [sample, sample, sample, sample], so just a list of samples in an array.
A stereo sample is interleaved in the same manner, so you get [left-sample, right-sample, left-sample, right-sample]
So every nth sample is the 1st channel, every nth+1 is the 2nd channel...

Import From Folder: How to Extract the File Name in a Custom Column.

Here´s what we´re trying to do:
We have a folder with csv files named like this:
Sales_2013-02-05.csv
Sales_2013-02-04.csv
Sales_2013-02-03.csv
Sales_2013-02-02.csv
Sales_2013-02-01.csv
And in the csv files there are the sales columns but not the date column.
So we want to extract the date from the file name.
I´ve tried entering = Source[Name] in a custom column, but it adds a "LIST" link, and on a click on expand, it adds ALL file names from the folder in each row, instead of just the needed one.
If we could get the proper file name in each row (from where they got extracted), we could split the column and get the date from there. But I don´t know how put the filename there properly.

This isn't entirely straightforward, but it's definitely possible. What you need to do is to apply all of your transforms to each individual file instead of the combined files. I do that as follows:
1) Use Folder.Files as generated by the GUI to look at the list of my files.
2) Pick one file and do all the transformations to it that I want to apply to all of the files. Sometimes, this just amounts to letting the autodetection figure out the column names and types.
3) Go into the advanced editor and edit my code so that the transformations from step 2 are applied to all files. This involves creating a new function and then applying that function to the content in each row.
4) Expand the tables created in step 3.
As an example, I have some files with names that match the ones you suggested. After steps 1 + 2, my query looks like the following:

Hi Gurus ,
How can I extract the data from a XSTRING .
I have to get the data which is filled in the survey form the data is getting saved in form of xstring .
Someone told me that there is a standard FM for that . but I am not able to find .
Please reply with the FM in case some one knows about it .

The following code works as of 7.0 (in any SAP system):
FORM XSTRING_TO_STRING USING input TYPE xstring CHANGING output TYPE string.
TYPES : BEGIN OF ty_struc,
          line TYPE c LENGTH 100,
        END OF ty_struc.
DATA lt_char TYPE TABLE OF ty_struc.
DATA length TYPE i.
length = xstrlen( input ) / cl_abap_char_utilities=>charsize.
CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
EXPORTING
    buffer                = input
tables
    binary_tab            = lt_char.
CONCATENATE LINES OF lt_char INTO output RESPECTING BLANKS.
output = output(length).
ENDFORM.
