Facebook Sign Up for Secure Zone

Hi,
Hope some one can help me out.
I have been trying to use facebook module to sign up for my website.
The idea is to use facebook to register, and forward them to their account page.
So, I have followed three tutorials, and I seem to miss something.  ( Adobe Page , BC Gurus , and Kiyuco ).
I created the App, on Developers.Facebook.com, I got my APP ID/SEC KEY.
I have then gone to admin panel and in site settings -> Social Integration I have included the APP ID/SEC KEY and the url.. Curently. its : xxxxx.businesscatalyst.com
I have used that link for the APP of Facebook Devs too.
So then I have created the secure zone, I have managed to get myself sign up, so i thought that works.
Then when my friend tried to sign up, he got error saying that it haven't been configured right.
So, i have tried again, then I have even got the app submitted for review.
Still I can't get my friend sign up for my page with facebook.
Help would be appreciated .
Thanks

You can use whatever WiFi networks are available to you, open or secure ones to which you hae a password. Having used a particular WiFi network in the past has no effect on any future choices.
Best of luck.

  • Set expiration dates for Secure Zone Memberships

    We run an online exercise company offering memberships with access to exercise videos so users can exercise online - we sell memberships by the week, month, or month to month memberships. We also sell a beginner courses. The site has been built in Adobe Muse, integrated with Business Catalyst.
    For the time-based memberships we have inserted a snippet of code in Business Catalyst that limits the amount of time members have access to the secure zone where we keep the videos - this is tied to the form members fill out when they purchase. The issue is that when the entire Muse site is republished or just the page with the form - the code disappears. So we have to go into each form and reinsert the code. This has been going on for quite some time. Below is most of the code we've been using - which we found in Business Catalyst Forum Section a couple years ago:
    function setExpiryDate( )
    var dat=new Date();
    dat.setDate(dat.getDate() + 8);
    var monthname=new Array("Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun", "Jul","Aug","Sep","Oct","Nov","Dec")
    var pretty = dat.getDate() + "-" + monthname[dat.getMonth()] + "-" + dat.getFullYear();
    document.getElementById("ExpiryDate").value = pretty;
    };setExpiryDate( );
    We are looking to 'permanently' anchor the code in the form.

    Hi
    If you are using BC secure zones then you can setup the expiry date from BC end only, regarding the code that you are using , I believe you are trying to use specific form for secure zone sign up and limiting the expiry date.
    Regarding form code being stripped off, are you submitting the form once from site front end and then also code is stripped off ?
    Please include site url in your response.
    Thanks,

  • Single form for secure zone registration and web app submission?

    Hi
    Is it possible to setup a form where a user can simultaneously register for a secure zone and submit a web app entry? The knowledge base / tutorials describe a two step process (web form for secure zone registration and web app input form for web app submission), but I would like users to be able to do both with a single form
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions
    mls

    In order to have a customer create a web app item they must be logged into the secure zone already.  I've seen some instructions on how to let users submit web app items outside a secure zone but that requires creating a dummy anonymous user and logging them into the secure zone via javascript.  You could use this method and once it's submitted you'll have to manually attach the web app item to the correct user in the BC Admin.  That might not work for you but you can read more about that at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1784
    You can't use the above solution with the current user's username and password because those tags are only available when the user is logged into a secure zone already.  If your signup form needs to be filled out first, the user isn't logged in.
    Your best bet is to have the public signup form redirect the user after submission to an "Add item" form you have created. Maks sure that form is in a secure zone so when they add the item it is attached to their account.
    If you don't want to redirect them to a secure zone and want it more seamless you could try to use some javascript/ajax to submit the form via javascript and after the form is submitted, use the javascript code in the above to log them in (be careful to use the https://yoursite.worldsecuresystems.com url if you are passing username and password info gathered from your form to log them in via javascript/ajax).  Once they are logged in via the javascript you can use more ajax to fetch a page's HTML that resides in a secure zone.  This HTML returned from the javascript can be your "add web app item" form and since they were logged in via javascript (securely, right?) this HTML should contain the right information.  Insert this returned HTML into your form container that held the original signup form and they can continue to add a web app item without having to log in.
    This is theory and might work but you'll have to start experimenting with it via javascript.  I haven't actually tried to do this so hopefully some other community members who might have tried this can weigh in here as well.
    Good luck!

  • Best practice for secure zone various access

    I am setting up a new site with a secure zone.
    There will be a secure zone. Once logged in, users will have access to search and browse medical articles/resources
    This is how an example may go:
    The admin user signs up Doctor XYZ to the secure zone.
    The Doctor XYZ is a heart specialist, so he only gets access to web app items that are classified as "heart".
    However, he may also be given access to other items, eg: "lung" items.
    Or, even all items. It will vary from user to user.
    Is there any way to separate areas within the secure zone and give access to those separate areas (without having to give access to individual items - which will be a pain because there will be hundreds of records; and also without having the user log out and log into another secure area)

    my only issue with this is that I have no idea how to open up File Sharing to ONLY allow users who are connecting from the VPN
    Simple - don't expose your server to the outside world.
    As long as you're running on a NAT network behind some firewall or router that's filtering traffic, no external traffic can get to your server unless you setup port forwarding - this is the method used to run, say, a public web server where you tell the router/firewall to allow incoming traffic on port 80 to get to your server.
    If you don't setup any port forwarding, no external traffic can get in.
    There are additional steps you can take - such as running the software firewall built into Mac OS X to tell it to only accept network connections from the local network, but that's not necessary in most cases.
    And 2. The best way to ensure secure AND encrypted file sharing via the server...
    VPN should take care of most of your concerns - at least as far as the file server is concerned. I'd be more worried about what happens to the files once they leave the network - for example have you ensured that the remote user's local system is sufficiently secured so that no one can get the documents off his machine once they're downloaded?

  • What level of support is required for Secure Zones?

    I am trying to determine the most cost effective hosting solution for a potential client.  They will have a very basic website, but they want a secure area for downloading project information.
    What is the lowest cost hosting package that will support secure zones?  (i.e. WebBasics+)

    Hi,
    Lowest plan that provides secure zone access would be "webMarketing".
    To view feature breakdown per plan please view the page below.

  • Select file for secure zone

    Hi,
    In selecting content to include in the secure zone, the files in the left panel are only partially visible as they're name-length exceeds the size of the panel. How do I get to see the whole file-name?
    (3. Specify the content to include in the secure zone by clicking the Secured Content tab and moving content from the left panel to the right.)
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi John, you cant resize it or view them if they get cut off in the admin no.

  • Muse + BC, adding a sign up form in a secure zone, and a individual my account secured page

    Hello,
    I having a lot of trouble in the following task I need to do in Adobe Muse and integrate in Business Catalyst.
    1) I need to create a contact form page (with username and login)
    2) I need that this contact form integrates with BC to store my subscribers infos
    3) Then, I need to create a login and username page that when my client logs in, the info that he previously filled in appears to him (as a My Account page).
    4) Of course, this My account page must a in a secure zone area, but each client should have his own personal My account page.
    Is this possible? I think it is. (Muse Theme site is an example)
    Thanks you for the help!!
    Carlos

    Hi Carlos
    Answering the questions :
    1) Publish the site to BC and then create a form on BC end , assign to a secure zone ( which you will have to create ).
    2) You can register users in your site using same form.
    3) Use login form in page where user can login , landing page for secure zone can be made as web app page. Web app needs to be created for customer accounts and in layout you can use different tags to show cases information which user has submitted etc.
    4) Web app is the way out.

  • Is it a way to find out which secure zone user belong to?

    So we have three secure zones on website.
    Basic User
    Intermediate User
    Premium User
    Based on where user belong to we would like to show accurate user menu upon him/her logging in the website.
    Currently we have a module to find out if  ANY USER has logged in or not - {module_isloggedin}. Is there similar type of module or functionality to find out which secure zone this user belong to - something like {module_securezonebelongto}, which returns an ID for secure zone using which and with some help of JS we could manipulate user menu options.
    I am sure many of us are looking for similar option and some might have found a solution for this.
    Can you please share your thought(s) and idea(s) for this one? I really appreciate your input.
    Thanks

    The only thing you have is {module_subscriptions}\
    Format:
    {module_subscriptions,show_expiry,show_prices,reserved,render_json}
    Where:
    show_expiry - shows or hides the expiry date of the secure zone (true/false; default:true)
    show_prices - shows or hides the cost of the subscription to that secure zone (true/false; default:true)
    render_json - Will render the secure zone information in Json format which can be manually parsed (true/false)

  • We can assign permission to the users in Secure Zone?

    Hi BC Partners
    I have a qestion about Secure Zone
    For Secure Zone users we can assign permission to them, such as assign them upload or edit content in Secure Zone?
    Regard
    TY

    Hey there,
    It does not work like that.
    A seurezone gains access to a zone area, and thus the landing page and content assigned to that zone. Nothing more nothing less. They can not upload or edit content to your site through the securezone. The only thing they can edit and update are their details or if they have submitted web app items and you have allowed them to edit these or submit them.

  • How to use single web form for multiple secure zone signup?

    I have multiple secure zones in my website. I want to sell membership of secure zones to users of my website. I want, users signup for multiple secure zone of their choice and submit payment. Is it possible if can you please explain a bit or refer me to an doc about it.
    Thanks a lot for your time,

    I realize this isn't likely, but do you know of a way to allow the user to select the secure zone to be registered (e.g. from a list of multiple secure zones or entering ID of one sz into a text input) from within a single web form? I wonder if this can be passed in through a parameter in the action URL or through a special system field.
    Thanks

  • How to create a Payment Form for access to multiple secure zones

    I'm trying to create a Payment Form that allows the user to select from a dropdown of videos, each of which represents a secure zone page with an embedded video.
    What I can't figure out -- and tech chat can't help -- is how to redirect the user to the correct secure zone for the video they purchased.
    Videos are are streaming, vimeo embeds, not downloads.
    Anyone know how to do this? Can post link to test form if you need it.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    This can be done for already available list. Have a look at the following steps:
    Create an Empty SharePoint Project, then right click the project, add SharePoint “Layouts” Mapped Folder.
    Right click the project name, add New item Application Page, then add the custom code there.
    Under Features, add a feature, right click the added feature then add an event receiver, override the FeatureActivated method to set the new edit/new form as the default form.
    How to set new form as default form:
    SPList lstTest = web.Lists["Shared Documents"];
    string newUrl =
    string.Format("layouts/NewEditForm.aspx", web.ServerRelativeUrl, lstTest.RootFolder.Url);
    var form = web.GetFile(newUrl);
    if (form !=
    null && form.Exists)
     //string newFomrUrl = lstTest.DefaultEditFormUrl.Replace("EditForm.aspx", "docEditForm.aspx");
      lstTest.DefaultEditFormUrl = newUrl;
      lstTest.Update();

    To add a custom list form, the best way I think is using SharePoint Designer 2010, it’s very fast.

  • When trying to sign into facebook in settings for ios6, I get an error that says "You cannot sign in from your iPhone since you have opted out of Facebook Platform." What gives?

    When trying to sign into facebook in settings for ios6, I get an error that says "You cannot sign in from your iPhone since you have opted out of Facebook Platform." What gives?
    More info: I've combed through the settings in facebook and there is nothing that shows I'm blocking anything from accessing it.

    Sure sounds like a Facebook setting. When you look at your Privacy Settings in Facebook (on facebook.com), you should see something under "Apps you use" that says
    Turn off your ability to use apps, plugins, and websites on and off Facebook. After you turn this off, we will not store information about you when you use apps or websites off Facebook.
    The "Turn off" is a hyperlink that shuts down the Facebook platform. If you don't see this, or if the wording is different, you may have (inadvertently?) shut this off, and should be able to turn it back on.
    Edit: The sequence to that screen on facebook.com is: Privacy Settings (from the upper right dropdown), then "Ads, Apps and Websites" will have an "Edit settings" link to the right. This is where you'll see the "Apps you use" screen.

    I just signed up for Adobe Reader.  I wanted to be able to create a document and post it on my facebook page.  How do I do this?

    Hi terryjeanlaw,
    Using Adobe Export PDF, you can export PDF files to Word document (.docx and .doc),  Excel document (.xlsx), Powerpoint document (.pptx), Rich Text Format document (.rtf) and Image (.jpg, .tiff, .png). In order to convert to PDF, you need to either purchase PDF Pack (Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack) or Adobe Acrobat XI (PDF creator, create PDF | Adobe Acrobat XI).
