Facetime iphone 4s

Facetime is not working on my iphone 4s running 6.1.3. And I cannot upgrade to iOS 7 because it is TOO large of an update and I don't have 4 GB available on my phone. Is this Apple's way of forcing me into an iphone 5 after only owning my 4s for 2 years? Solutions?

Either clear some space on your iPhone or update your iPhone using iTunes.

From what you describe I would take a look at the side switch, it may be set to lock the rotation of the screen.

Troubleshooting Rotation Lock
If your iPad display does not rotate as expected, verify that Rotation Lock is off:
Check the status bar for the Rotation Lock icon.
Toggle the Side Switch to verify that the device is not locked.
Note: Some apps do not rotate to match the current or locked orientation. Use the Home screen to determine Rotation Lock status.
If Rotation Lock is off and you are still unable to rotate the iPad display, restart your iPad:
Hold the Sleep/Wake button until "slide to power off" appears, and then slide to turn off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.

FaceTime - iPhone 5

I can not find the "facetime" on my device.
The iphone is with me and has been for over a year since I bought it I have no facetime.
iPhone 5, iOS 8.0.2

FaceTime is banned by law in parts of the Middle East and has been permanently removed from phones sold in KSA and UAE. It will be removed from phones sold in other countries in that region if they become unlocked or are removed from the country of origin.
Where did you get it? What does it say in Settings>General>About>Model?

My facetime for MAC wont allow a facetime iphone to connect

When I call my fiance using facetime for Mac, she attempts to connect but it wont allow her to; yet I can facetime between iPhones with no problem. Why is this and can it be corrected?

Does your mic work in System Preferences?
System Preferences > Sound > Input
There is an Input Level meter that should light up when you talk. Just to make sure your mic and Mac are working.
Which mic are you using? Are you using the built in mic on an Apple Display? I have Apple's LED display and every time I use Facetime, as in place or take a call, the mic input volume gets reset to a level so low, people can't hear me. I have to manually raise the mic volume back to where I had set it. When I end the call, Facetime resets the volume back to where I set it. If I don't reset the mic volume level on each and every call, people can't hear me.
I called Apple on this. They downloaded a log file tool to my Mac and took some logs. Then they called me back and said this works as designed. Incredible.
So, if you are using Apple's LED display, this may be your problem. Note that the mic volume level gets set low and reset back only during a call. If you check it before a call and then after a call, it looks fine as if nothing changed. Open up the Sound prefernces and watch it get reset in real time.

Facetime iPhone 4 to 5 not working

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS6) and my friend an iPhone 5 (iOS6). When we try to facetime each other it just won't work. We are both connected to the same Wifi, accounts are activated and we can both facetime with other friends. It says "connecting" but the connection never get's established.
There is no logical explanation for this, so I was wondering that it could maybe be because it was a problem between the iPhone 4 and 5 connection?
Does anyone have suggestion to solve this issue?

Check to see how each of you are receiving your Facetime calls, phone number versus Apple ID, and then check to see what way you are calling them. If one is receiving by phone number, make sure you are calling that phone number rather than the Apple ID. Other than that, I don't see a real reason the two shouldn't connect. I just did a Facetime with my son tonight. We are both on iOS 6, he has an iPhone 4, I have a 4S. Sorry I cannot duplicate an iPhone 5 issue here.

FaceTime: iPhone to which Mac?

If both my iMac & MacBook are on Wifi, and I FaceTime call from my iPhone 4s to my mac e-mail address, will both ring? For example, I'm on the road using my MacBook connected to WiFi. My iMac at home is also online. I decide to FaceTime call my mac e-mail address using my iPhone 4s that's connected to the hotel WiFi. Will both the MacBook in my room and iMac at home FaceTime applications ring?
Also, if I use my MacBook to FaceTime with my iMac, can I use the same mac e-mail address or do I have to have another one to call to. For example, someone is at my house is using my iMac, and I'm on the road using my MacBook connected to WiFi. If I FaceTime call from my MacBook to my iMac using my mac e-mail address, which is an account on both computers, will it work?
I realize this crosses over a few forums, but hey, they are all connected.

What is the model number? Settings=>General=>About=>Model?

Facetime iphone 4; others cannot face time me

I am able to facetime others, but if someone tries to face time me using my phone number, they go to another person. It is not anyone that I know. The only way someone can face time me is through my email. This has happened with 3 different people so I know it isn't the person initiating the facetime and must be with my phone. Has anyone seen this before?

If you bought your iPhone from the UAE, Facetime will never be able to be installed on the phone. Facetime is prohibited in the UAE, and all phones bought and/or used there will not have it. Furthermore, if you take a phone from the UAE out of the country, you still CANNOT get Facetime on the phone as the hardware will not support it.
There is nothing you can do to get FaceTime on your phone.
