Fail to provision

I have been struggling to get my remote host to provision. It is connected through USB and the prior steps are fine but then is fails on this:

I have absolutely no idea where to go from here. This is super frustrating and I would be SOOOO grateful for anyone to point me in the right direction.

Have you looked through the log file? What error(s) are you getting? If you're communicating to your target over USB, did you purchase the special USB "debug cable"? A regular USB cable will not work.

Hello, I'm attempting to install SPF 2013 as a standalone instance on Windows Server 2012, and all goes fine until step 7/10 of the config wizard, when I get the below error:
Failed to provision the SharePoint Central Administration Web Application.

The admin.sitemap file is there in the _app_bin directory, so it's not clear why the procedure is failing with the NullReferenceException error. Any tips on this are much appreciated!

Anybody ever get any events like this before? I'm not finding much or nothing on Google or on other forums, so I thought I would run it past and see if anyone has experienced anything of a similar
nature. And yes, the farm account obviously has creator/secadmin permissions, at this point of our deployment....
I look forward to any and all feedback. Thanks and good afternoon!

I figured out the answer to this myself. For those few who might run into something akin to my error...
During the off-hours of where I work, I re-applied the farm account credentials to all dB server VM SQL services that had the account for a log-on (i.e., MSSQLSERVER, SQLSERVERAGENT, etc.) as well as all SharePoint services on our WFE/App Server VM (a two
server farm is what we host), in that order. Then I rebooted the dB server first, followed by the SharePoint server. Upon coming back, everything was working fine again. I was able to provision a site, no probelm, and it seemed to even be a little snappier
    when doing so.
One note: doing this procedure gave me a "One or more services have started or stopped unexpectedly" error in the Health Analyzer, for the SPTimerV4 service. When you get this, simply enter into the item and click on "Reanalyze Now;" this will quickly clear
the error out of the Analyzer, and all should be right with the world! :)

  • AD Conector fails in provisioning

    Hi everyone!
Well i have a strange issue when I try to provisioning Active Directory to my users, the log shows the following:
08/10/16 18:43:46 Running Get Attribute Map
08/10/16 18:43:46 Running AD Create User
    DEBUG,16 Oct 2008 18:43:46,637,[XL_INTG.ACTIVEDIRECTORY],user principal ::[email protected]
    DEBUG,16 Oct 2008 18:43:46,638,[XL_INTG.ACTIVEDIRECTORY],Critical Extensions Supported
    ERROR,16 Oct 2008 18:43:47,248,[XL_INTG.ACTIVEDIRECTORY],Invalid Data Error encountered
    Invalid Data:[LDAP: error code 19 - 000020B5: AtrErr: DSID-03152392, #1:
            0: 000020B5: DSID-03152392, problem 1005 (CONSTRAINT_ATT_TYPE), data 0, Att 15000a (manager)
    ^@]
I have active the ssl, but i can't see why the OIM populate the "@test.corp", I think that's the error, but i've been checking the ITResource, the Adapters, but i cannot find where it does the prepopulation.
    Thanks!

Let me check that, the problem is that in the form, it doesn't appear the @test.
    It shows: UserName: nada0102
The @test.corp is sending when the ad Create User task is running. I try to see that task, but i cannot see anything strange, anyway, i'm going to check that.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Failed Auto Provisioning UCMA

    Hi,
currently i build ucma application and run this application on top of Lync FE Server. But we got the following problems:
    1. We created auto provisioning application endpoint called "startup.sample" using Lync management shell then running simple ucma application to receive incoming call.
But it return the following error "external server must be installed , code failure:2".
My question is how do we know the things that make this error come up, maybe incorrect configuration?
    2. We create manual-provisioning on ucma application and run the application.
As a result, the platform started and application endpoint established without error.
Then I’m modified the code and put an event to handle incoming call after establishing endpoint success to handle incoming call.
But, when I call from Lync client to the trusted application endpoint "startup.sample" that I have created before,  it seems that the event not raised, since the ucma application didn’t return anything incoming status.
my question is, how do we know this error and the cause that make event not raised?
The following are architecture/topology that we used in  our environment:
    - DC server
    - Lync FE Server (UCma application in top of the server)
    - 3 Notebook with Lync client 2013 installed.

    Sam,
See the other post in the list talking about your problem, "host not trusted".
I had the same problem and the fix was to upgrade the IPS to 7.1(9)E4 .

  • Provisioning a user to AD is failing

    Hi Experts,
Create user is getting failed while provisioning a new user to AD saying error in converting an attribute". I found out that this is causing on the attribute "AccountExpires".
Do I need to convert it into long AD timestamp format by developing a custom code? Or will there be any entry in any of the look up table to map so that it will get converted into AD timestamp format like the way whenchanged and whencreated fields are getting populated without any custom code. please let me know.
    Please let me know.

This is unusual. Check if this is any mandatory attribute in AD.
If it is mandatory attribute in AD, then keep its entry in lookup. Pass it value either 0(if using 2003) or 9223372036854775807 (for 2008). I think this attribute should be part of global catalog in AD.
To add an attribute to the Global Catalog:
    1. Open the Active Directory Schema snap-in.
    2. In the console tree, click Attributes under Active Directory Schema/Attributes.

  • CSM 3.1.1 Device provisioning failed null for ASA5520 V7.2.2

Hi, with CSM Version 3.1.1 when i start
    Discover VPN policies :
    Topology : Hub and spoke
IPsec technology : regular VPN IPsec
    Discover from Network
When the system discover my hub ASA5520, i have this message " Device provisioning failed null
    Please contact Cisco Technical Assistance"
    see the asa configuration :

A missing comUser.dat is critical as this file contains the trust_user (aka System Identity User) credentials. This file missing can cause components that lookup trust_user information to fail. Provisioning is one such component. With CS 3.1.1, creating System Identity User in CS GUI will create a comUser.dat. But with the older versions, you might get error while trying to edit the System Identity. So it's better to use a backed up comUser.dat.

  • Project Server 2010 PWA Provisioning Error - System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied.

    Hi,
When migrating from a Prod Environment to a Test Environment using the Project Server 2010 5 Database backup and restore process (actually 6 DB's with the Project Sites DB), upon encountering a failure during provisioning the PWA Instance, we get the errors listed
at the base of this posting in our Event Logs.
To clarify what we have done already, we have:
    1. Backed up the 6 databases from the Source Environment.
    2. Removed the existing PWA_Content and PWS_Content (Project Sites) databases from the Target Environment Farm.
    3. Restored the 6 databases in the Target Environment.
    4. Given the SP Farm Service Account 'db_owner' rights to each of the 6 restored databases.
    5. Added the PWA_Content and PWS_Content databases  (exact same names) to the Target Environment.
    6. Locked down (offline/stopped), all of the SharePoint Content databases in the Farm except for the PWA_Content database.
    7. Run the PWA Provisioning process from the 'Project Server' SharePoint Service in Central Admin.
It is during the PWA provisioning that we encounter these errors.
As the Target Environment is for Test/Dev purposes, the SP Farm Service Account is setup to support all of the SharePoint Farm Services, is in the Local Admin Group of each of the Servers (App, WFE and DB), and is actually in the sysadmin
    role on the DB Server.
Any suggestions on what is causing this denied access situation would be most appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Wayne

  • Event ID 6482: Search not provisioned: There is no project Portal_Content mounted under gatherer application guid

My search service shows this message
My search service shows this message:  'The search application 'Search Service Name' on server SERVERNAME is not provisioned. Confirm that the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Timer service and Central Administration service are running on the server'.
No changes can be made.  I am able to run search queries.
Every minute the Application Server Administration job tries and fails to provision the service and logs the event id 6482: Search not provisioned:  There is no project Portal_Content mounted under gatherer application <guid>
I've found a few posts online that have solved this by clearing the sharepoint cache, which I've done a number of times without success.  A few others re-created search which isn't a real good solution for me since we have a lot of customizations that
    would have to be redone.
Restoring from Central Admin backups is a possibility, but without knowing exactly what the problem is, it seems that this approach may cause further problems.
Thoughts anyone?  Here's the full event log message

    Nate

    Hi,
For your issue, try to do the following:
Go to Services, and then reset SharePoint server search  accounts (stop/start).
Reset the crawl index (clears the index).
Stop and then start the SharePoint Server Search  - Central Administration: stop and then restart the service.
    Reset default content access account.
Besides,Here are similar issue post, you can use as a reference:
    http://www.social-point.com/sharepoint-2010-event-id-6482-application-server-administration-job-failed-for-service-instance-microsoft-office-server-search-administration-searchserviceinstance
One or more of these steps together may resolve the instance of this error.
If the issue persist, Please don't hesitate to let me know.

    Hi

  • ISE 1.2 - CWA supplicant provisioning with anchor WLC

    Hi all,
Having an issue with supplicant provisioning via CWA on an anchor controller. I am able to connect via CWA and authenticate etc no problems but when the device registration page appears it says "unable to connect to the network at this time" - the mac address is populated but the button says try again. Once I click try again it cycles back to the original guest portal login page. In the reports section the failed supplicant provisioning message is "Error while trying to determine access privileges: Fail to get hostName from session cache.".
I have tried the same policy without the anchor (ie local controller) and it works perfectly. Interestingly enough if I manually register the device first then connect to the guest portal it allows me to click register and proceed to supplicant provisioning. I have also tried the anchor setup using peap and the NSP redirect - this also works perfectly.
I can confirm ahead of time that firewalls etc are not an issue with permit IP any any between all working parts - no blocks no drops etc. The policy is the standard trustsec CWA setup with Enable self-provisioning ticked. For what it is worth I am absolutely confident with the config having deployed this before - albeit without an anchor controller.

    Stephen,
I was able to work with TAC the customer account team to find a resolution.  The issue is with the Anchor WLC and the session not being replicated.  I was able to get around it by disabling radius accounting for the ssid on the anchor controller, but when looking at the bug it looks like an alternative fix is to disable fast ssid switching, which would cause issues with BYOD in the dual ssid world.  I'm still doing testing, but the accounting change seems to have solved it.  The bug ID is: CSCui38627
