Failed to load Execute Package Task error.
Hello Experts,
Excuse my newbie question.
Execute Package Task: Error: The task has failed to load. The contact information for the task is "Microsoft Corporation; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft corporation; All Rights Reserved http://www.microsoft.com/sql/support/default.asp:1"
We have a windows service running on our app server that deploys a package that executes other packages using execute package task. This package and rest of the packages are in the same folder at the same level under integration services
catalog. The package fails to execute with the above said error.
Execute package task is configured to run in 'in-process' mode. Changing delay validation to true/false in child packages didn't help.
ironically if the package is deployed using a console application from the app server the package gets executed just fine. I checked permissions, everything seem fine.
Is there anyway to get details of this error to understand the problem better? I am looking at reports > standard reports > all executions.
Thanks.
As it turns out, the 63bit ExecPackageTask.dll was not found under "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn". Installing "SQL Server Data Tools" installed only 32 bit version of the component under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL
Server\110\DTS\Binn".
Is there a way to get 64bit version of this component without installing "Integration Services" (to avoid possible license issues)?
Hi Jayakarthiks,
To make use of the 64-bit ExecPackageTask.dll, you also need the 64-bit SSIS runtime and 64-bit DTExec utility tool. To obtain the 64-bit SSIS runtime and tools, you have to install the SQL Server Integration Services service from your SQL Server 2012 install
media.

I'm trying to automate my building and deployment of SSIS packages using TFS build definitionss in conjunction with MSBuild.exe on a separate build machine.
I have successfully built and deployed my projects but receive the following error:
Error: Failed to load task "etl_UWP_Stage_tstg_7_Large",type "". The contact information for this task is "Microsoft Corporation: Microsoft SQL Server .... "
This error happens at runtime as well as if I perform a "Validate..." on the SSIS Catalog on the server.
This only occurs when trying to execute a package that contains an Execute Package Task. Any other packages that are doing the actual work are working just fine.
In addition, when I do the MSBuild from my developer machine with the same deployment process everything works fine, even the Execute Package Task.
I can even open up the project on the build machine in VS2012, rebuild all, then deploy and everything works fine.
Some things I've considered/verified:
1) Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio Data Tools 2012 are both on the build machine and my local machine.
2) The .NET version being used by VS2012 is the same on the build machine and my local machine.
3) I find it suspicious that the "Type" referenced in the error above is blank...but not sure where to go with that.
4) Obvious difference is that during the TFS Build and Deploy on the build machine, everything is running under the TFS Service account, rather than my account...once again...not sure where to go with this, but it is a significant difference.
Has anyone had similar issues or have any thoughts on things to try?
Thanks,
JasonNot sure why I couldn't find this answer in my earlier searches...
But this thread solved it for me:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/3aa1e324-da32-4ea0-865c-c69f610ef262/failed-to-load-execute-package-task-error?forum=sqlintegrationservices
Essentially I had to install SSIS on the build machine so that the 64-bit version for
ExecPackageTask.dll, was available. I did this from the original media CD selection Integration Services as a feature.
Hope this helps someone in the future. -
I have an package with source , data flow and destination to execute on begin and commit.
in the below i have just used for questioning purpose with diagram removing my Data Flow task explaining my problem
on execution, i get error as
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "COMMIT TRAN DimCompanyCode" failed with the following error: "The COMMIT TRANSACTION request has no corresponding BEGIN TRANSACTION.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet"
property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
as mentioned , i have checked the ResultSet, parameters , connection establish.. all are fine.
Kindly advice on what has to be done.

Execute SQl Task Error SSIS Package
Hi all,
I`m using for each loop container in my package to grab the file name from the source path. I have created 2 vairables
FilePath and SourceFolder
I`m using execute sql task inside the container and this is my query
Insert into [dbo].[DCA_FF_TEST] (File_Name,File_Date) SELECT File_name = ?,
File_Date = GetDate()
Please not the Table I am trying to insert has more columns but at this stage I dont need them.
When i execute the task I get an error

I`ve checked the connection as well it works.
FMDid you try
Insert into [dbo].[DCA_FF_TEST] (File_Name,File_Date)
SELECT ?, GetDate()
Or
Insert into [dbo].[DCA_FF_TEST] (File_Name,File_Date) VALUES (?, GetDate())

We have the CPU set to x86 as we are ultimately trying to generate a 32 bit app for XP and Win 7. We only installed the 32 bit run time on this pc because we have no intention of going to 64 bit apps on the clients. Are there additional dlls or something that has to be installed in the same folder as the exe on this development machine.
BruceLooking at the AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_myprograminfo led us to the last dll loaded being:
LoadedModule[211]=C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\crdb_adoplus_res_en.dll
State[0].Key=Transport.DoneStage1
State[0].Value=1
FriendlyEventName=Stopped working
Scanning the community for "crdb_adoplus_res_en.dll" we got a hot on this issue again:
Failed to load database information. Error in File temp_
From the above we found this:
1. the app.exe.config is all in one package which cannot be separated with the EXE file.
2. the supporting component such as dll files, app.exe.config etc CANNOT be combined into the EXE file
Adding the cr3Test.exe.config to the same folder as the cr3Test.exe RESOLVED the problem on Win 7. It also RESOLVED the problem on Server 2012 R2.
We still need to test on Server 2008 R2 but we are hopeful when that time comes.
Thanks.

SSIS - Using Variables in Execute SQL Task Error
The following query in my Execute SQL Task throws the following error when run - [Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "SELECT @columnz = COALESCE(@columnz + ',[' + times..." failed with the following error:
"Must declare the scalar variable "@columnz".". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query,

set average = (coalesce(twoweeksago, 0) + coalesce(previousweek, 0) + coalesce(currentweek, 0))/3
from tmpNCPCNC_MaxDownstreamNodeUtilzationChart3Week
ScottIssue is with variable @columnz.
Scope of variables is only limited to the batch and if batch is over Variable is no more accessible.
Reproduce Steps:
DECLARE @columnz int = 0
Go --Scope of @columnz ends here
SELECT @columnz -- Ends up with error
So you have to remove GO keyword. I have commented 2 of them in below:
DROP TABLE tmpNCPCNCDownstreamMaxUtilization3wks
SELECT node
,max(utilization) AS max_Utilization
,DATE
INTO tmpNCPCNCDownstreamMaxUtilization3wks

1. I have a CSV file which contains ( PackageLocationWithName, source info (table/file/accesdb) & other control info)
2. I load the CSV file into the SQL Server Table ConfigurationTab
3. In the SSIS package I assign the values returned from select * from ConfigurationTab to
a system object : SubjectStagelist ( system.object) Result Set : ResultName: 0 ..1..2.. , Variable : user:: SubjectStagelist
4. In the ForEachLoopContainer I use : collection : For Each ADO Enumerator
ADO Object Source Variable : user:: SubjectStagelist
Enumeration Mode : Rows in the first table
5. Created variables equals to number of column in the table(csv file):
6. Assigned these variables as index 0,1,2... in Variable Mappings in the ForEachLoopContainer ( Assuming that the values from the SubjectStagelist will be assigned to the new variables )
7. Under the ForEachLoopContainer I have the execute process task. Here I want to n number of child packages to perform the data load from source to target ( n = no of rec in csv file which is fixed)
In the execute package task I use the location as File, point to one of the files as connection and under expressions - I have connection as @user::PackagePath (this variable will hold the complete package path with name e.g c\desktop\....\pkgName.dtsx).
When I try so save the master package in the execute package task, I use the location as file which
automatically changed to SQLSERVER from file and also throws the error by saying
The connection "c\desktop\....\pkgName.dtsx"
is not found. This error is thrown by Connections collection when the specific connection element is not found.
"@user::PackagePath" on property "Connection" cannot be written to the property. The expression was evaluated, but cannot be set on the property.
But it keeps on giving me this error ? Am I following the right steps ?
Please advice....
NeilHi Visakh,
Now I am getting the below error. In SQL table I have the data type as datetime for
Date_Endtime(in Pkg it is datetime) variable and Integer for
Int_Batch_Nbr(in pkg it is Int32) variable
How can I typecast this if required, as I am capturing entire record into Object variable for further processing
Error: 0xC001C012 at ForEach Loop: ForEach Variable Mapping number 10 to variable "User::Date_Endtime" cannot be applied.
Error: 0xC001F009 at MSTR_Pkg: The type of the value being assigned to variable "User::Int_Batch_Nbr"
differs from the current variable type. Variables may not change type during execution. Variable types are strict, except for variables of type Object.
Neil
I think the issue is you've variables jumbled up in the mapping within for each loop. You need to make sure the index mapped to Date_EndTime corresponds to resultset column with datetime values and that to Int_Batch_Nbr corresponds to integer values. As
of now its not correct which is why it complains about data type mismatch.
Also didnt understand why you unmarked original answer as it was the solution to your actually posted problem. Now what you're asking is an unrelated issue. Anyone looking at this would have benefited with previous answer if their original issue was with
execute package task property expression.

Ssis execute process task error: process exit code was 1 while the expected was 0
Hi Sir,
in my SSIS Package(2012) i am using Execute Process Task which will call bat file. bat file is located on UNC Path.i am having the below script in the batch file.
del \\servername\foldername\name.txt
rcmd \\servername D:\name1.bat
del \\servername\foldername\name2.txt
xcopy \\servername\foldername\file.txt \\server\foldername\outfilefolder
i am getting the below error message:
ssis execute process task error: process exit code was 1 while the expected was 0
i want know at what cases error exit code was 1?
Thanks for your time.Hi prasad.alm,
The error is generic and can be caused by various factors. Here are some suggestions for your reference:
Manually run the executable to execute the batch file so that we can check whether the command lines in the batch file are correct or not.
Check there are no duplicate/existing files in the destination folder.
Try to run the package in 32-bit or 64-bit runtime mode.
If the issue occurs when running a job, try to create a CmdExec type job step to call the excutable. If this job also fails, it might be an issue between executable and SQL Server Agent rather than the SSIS package itself.
If the issue persists, enable logging for the package, and check if we can obtain more detailed error message for further analysis.

Mike Yin

Hi,
I've a master package that calls other packages with an Execute Package Task. Sometimes we have an error: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" and sometimes not. It seems random.
We are working on a Terminal Server and the SQL Server database engine and the files are placed on another server. It seems that the errors doesn't occu when we run the packages on the server with a job. We can't log onto the windows server on this machine..
HennieI've seen this myself. On most occasions an immediate rerun would fix the issue. As stated this happens only when we try to run this from BIDs. From SQL agent job it always runs fine.

Result set property is Single Row.

SSIS-Execute Process task Error _File/Process "\\Servername\Foldername\batfile.bat" is not in path
belo is the SP for calling the SSIS package.
DECLARE @EXECUTION_ID BIGINT,
@PKG_RESULT INT
EXEC [SSISDB].[CATALOG].[CREATE_EXECUTION] @PACKAGE_NAME=N'abc.DTSX',
@EXECUTION_ID=@EXECUTION_ID
OUTPUT,
@FOLDER_NAME=N'aa',
@PROJECT_NAME=N'xxx',
@USE32BITRUNTIME=FALSE,
@REFERENCE_ID=29 --unique identifier for environment
EXEC [SSISDB].[CATALOG].[START_EXECUTION] @EXECUTION_IDWhere the BAT part is ?
It looks like a security issue.
The account running has no permission apparently over "\\Servername\Foldername\batfile.bat"

Failed to load database information. Error in {GUID}.rpt
Hi
I have a C# windows service that load a rpt file and export it to PDF
I am required to use XML as data source for the rpt file, and in the IDE of CR 2013 it always works fine via local XML file, and also I create a http/https pages which returns a XML stream, it still works, preview fine.
And then I debug into my unit test project, load the rpt file, set the necessary parameters, and at last call the ReportDocument.Export(), the PDF was generated successfully.
But when I deploy the windows service in my local machine, it always throw out an exception with the error message of “Failed to load database information. Error in {GUID}.rpt” at ReportDocument.Export().
Here is the environment of my local machine:
Windows 7 (64 bit)
NET framework 4.0 / VS2010 build with “Any CPU”
CR2013 with the latest run-time packages for VS
I also have crdb_xml.dll in both of the following paths:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86
I doubt that I missed something in my environment, is there any suggestions? Thanks a lot!Thank you for your advice!
I have deployed the crdb_xml driver as the steps mentioned in your links, it resolved previous error. Thanks a lot!
But now I encountered another problem, ok, here is my work flow:
1. I create two separate .net pages which return xml stream for my report file, one for main report and the other for the sub report. And these pages need to pass parameters.
2. I create http/https URL xml data source for both the main report and sub report, also I added the parameters in the end of my creation by @prompt function.
3. Then I preview my report, enter the necessary parameters in the pop-up window, and click “OK”, the xml data returned from my URL and displayed correctly in my report.
4. Then I test into my windows service:
1) Create an object of CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument() named rptDoc to load my report file.
2) Set parameters to rptDoc via the function of rptDoc.SetParameterValue()
3) Apply my logonInfo and attributes information
4) rptDoc.Export().
Then I got my problem, the parameters did not send to my .net pages all the while, but it is worked fine if I previewed the report in CR 2013 design tool.
Is it the problem that I missed some settings in my .net code or any way CrystalReport.Engine did not support to pass parameters to a report with http/https xml data source?
I am blocked by this issue, any suggestion? Thanks!
For your reference, here is the .net page which is trying to catch the parameters
foreach (var item in Request.Params)
paramsList.Add(item.ToString());
ExceptionManager.InsertException(new Exception(string.Join(",", paramsList)));
BrokerEntity broker = null;
string ifpPSID = Params.ReplaceNullWith(Request["@IFPPSID"], Null.NullString).ToString();
When preview the report in CR 2013 design tool, we get following string for “Request.Params”
“@IFPPSID,ASP.NET_SessionId,ALL_HTTP,ALL_RAW,APPL_MD_PATH,APPL_PHYSICAL_PATH,AUTH_TYPE,AUTH_USER,AUTH_PASSWORD,LOGON_USER,REMOTE_USER,CERT_COOKIE,CERT_FLAGS,CERT_ISSUER,CERT_KEYSIZE,CERT_SECRETKEYSIZE,CERT_SERIALNUMBER,CERT_SERVER_ISSUER,CERT_SERVER_SUBJECT,CERT_SUBJECT,CONTENT_LENGTH,CONTENT_TYPE,GATEWAY_INTERFACE,HTTPS,HTTPS_KEYSIZE,HTTPS_SECRETKEYSIZE,HTTPS_SERVER_ISSUER,HTTPS_SERVER_SUBJECT,INSTANCE_ID,INSTANCE_META_PATH,LOCAL_ADDR,PATH_INFO,PATH_TRANSLATED,QUERY_STRING,REMOTE_ADDR,REMOTE_HOST,REMOTE_PORT,REQUEST_METHOD,SCRIPT_NAME,SERVER_NAME,SERVER_PORT,SERVER_PORT_SECURE,SERVER_PROTOCOL,SERVER_SOFTWARE,URL,HTTP_CONNECTION,HTTP_ACCEPT,HTTP_HOST,HTTP_USER_AGENT,HTTP_FRONT_END_HTTPS”
When run in windows service, we get following string without parameters “@IFPPSID”
“ASP.NET_SessionId,ALL_HTTP,ALL_RAW,APPL_MD_PATH,APPL_PHYSICAL_PATH,AUTH_TYPE,AUTH_USER,AUTH_PASSWORD,LOGON_USER,REMOTE_USER,CERT_COOKIE,CERT_FLAGS,CERT_ISSUER,CERT_KEYSIZE,CERT_SECRETKEYSIZE,CERT_SERIALNUMBER,CERT_SERVER_ISSUER,CERT_SERVER_SUBJECT,CERT_SUBJECT,CONTENT_LENGTH,CONTENT_TYPE,GATEWAY_INTERFACE,HTTPS,HTTPS_KEYSIZE,HTTPS_SECRETKEYSIZE,HTTPS_SERVER_ISSUER,HTTPS_SERVER_SUBJECT,INSTANCE_ID,INSTANCE_META_PATH,LOCAL_ADDR,PATH_INFO,PATH_TRANSLATED,QUERY_STRING,REMOTE_ADDR,REMOTE_HOST,REMOTE_PORT,REQUEST_METHOD,SCRIPT_NAME,SERVER_NAME,SERVER_PORT,SERVER_PORT_SECURE,SERVER_PROTOCOL,SERVER_SOFTWARE,URL,HTTP_CONNECTION,HTTP_ACCEPT,HTTP_HOST,HTTP_USER_AGENT,HTTP_FRONT_END_HTTPS”
