Failed to send Alert Message to Browser

We are gettign this problem intermittently when user click End or Hangup button. We are not triggering any alert on these events. Once the user get this problem, he /she has to reboot the system in order to come out of this error. I was looking SND forum and another place many people have reported the same problem and it it surprising that no one have clear idea why this problem happening. I would appreciate if someone have this problem and fixed it. I could not find any note related to this.

Unfortunately, we were unable to replicate and SAP was unable to investigate because of this.  They did provide a bit of information in their response of Aug 6 I have included below.  Hopefully that may help your situation reWgarding this message.
Our message expired (confirmed automatically) on Sep 20th.  I have not had another report of this from our call centre since we applied the Support Packs (3,4,5) on August 16th.

Thanks for understanding the problem. Yes we know some customer getting
the message but when this error will come is very clear on the below
scenarios.
1. the customer uses https protocol and if the ssl is not correctly
configured then when they send an alert message / broadcast message the
message will appear.
2. Always when they a alert message is to be displayed/ or when sending
a broadcasting message / while clicking on the END button.
But this will happen always but not randomly.
So we will hope that the message will not come after you do an
upgrade.

Unfortunately, we don't know how to reproduce this issue so it will be
very difficult to move forward until we understand what is causing it.
I was hoping the message might be familiar to someone at SAP Support
and SAP might provide some clues on what could be causing it.
We will be applying Support Packs 3, 4 and 5 in our Production
Environment in a couple of weeks and maybe that will make a difference
and this message will not appear again after that.
Thank you for your time and effort - you can put the message back in
our court after you read this and I will let it expire on the auto
close date - on the off chance that the issue pops up again after our
go-live with Support Packs, I will supply further info if I can prior
to the auto close date if we have reoccurence of the message.

    Hi Experts.
    Have anybody experience with the error message "Cannot send alert message to browser" on Rule Policies? The condition-check of the rule is working fine. But the error message shown appears in the web UI Similar exception on Complaints Error Message but no answer. Is it possible that the SSL settings are responsible for that error message? Any ideas?     - The method "send_alert_message" has thrown following exception
    "Exception: An exception (CX_SAM_MESSAGING_EXCEPTION) occurred. Message no. TPDA430."
    on that line of code: line 91: sam_sender->send_to_client( message = sam_message ).
    I looked inside:
    - In the method "_SEND (CL_SAM_SESSION_QUEUE_SENDER)"
    line 101:   http_client->receive(  EXCEPTIONS http_communication_failure = 1 ... )
    The sy-subrc will be set to 1.
    I looked inside:
    - In the method "IF_HTTP_CLIENT~RECEIVE (CL_HTTP_CLIENT)"
    line 885: reason = response->get_header_field( 'sap-icmclnterror' ).
    Here the "reason" will  be set to "Native SSL Error".
    Any ideas how to solve this problem?

  • Sending Alert Messages to File System

    Hi,
    I am trying to implement a scenario in PI which automatically processes alert message generated by the Alert Framework (the messages are processed in a message mapping). Therefore I am sending alerts via mail and receive these mails afterwards with an integration scenario PI. As this does not work if the mail server is offline I am searching for a possibility to send alert messages directly to the file system. Is there a way to do this? Or do you have any other suggestions how I could handle this problem?

    The other option to get the alerts is to regster for SMS alerts to your mibile, in addition to the mail alerts.

    Hi Tapan,
    well, if I would have to do that..... I would at least need Sybase to keep development low. at the end you do not really need Sybase for this... but without SUP development effort is really high.
    Okay, in short:
    each device has its wn dedicated listener concept for push messages. This is platform dependend and you need to develop a native solution for this. It is possible, but it takes some time.
    If you want to be native, with Sybase you get this more or less for free. Issue here: Sybase does only support push notifications out of the box in the most complex scenario: therefore you need SAP backend, Netweaver Mobile Middleware, SUP and connect NW Mobile and SUP by ESDMA file. This gives you push from backend to device for free on nearly all plattforms out of the box.
    So at the end the first question qould be: how much do you want to develop?
    Or is it wnough for you to have SUP workflow? Benefit on Workflow: development effort is low, works out of the box, is multi plattform - but like every sunshine there is some shadow - performance of this approach is not really nice. Anyway, it could solve your issue: you receive an eMail in your device, this opens the workflow app and you can accept or decline for example a travel request.

  • Any other way to send alert messages to Screen?

    I currently use ical to store messages that pop up every day, M-F at the same time to give me inspirational messages to make me more productive. The problem is, I fill up the calendar time slots to set up these message reminders. I know there are other apps that send text messages but they are usually garbled with other kinds of syntax that makes the inspiration message, less inspirational. If iCal ever gets tasks with reminder alarms it will solve this problem. In the meantime, does anyone have other ideas?

    You can use the Alarm function in the Clock App - alarms can be given names. You could even set the alarm sound as an inspirational ringtone...

  • Periodically Thunderbird will fail to send a message, place it in the outbox and then start selecting multiple messages whereever I click.

    Running on Windows 7 with latest Thunderbird but this has been happening for at least a year on two different Win 7 computers. Tried restarting Thunderbird which wants to force me into safe mode but does not fix it. Only a Windows restart fixes this issue. I have a third Win7 computer on which this has never happened.

    No, It happens once every week or two, just happened today, and I rarely am in Win safe mode. One never knows when it will happen.

  • Adapter framework failing to send message

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue in XI, where the adapter framework is getting failed to send the message. The message is also not getting reflected in SXMB_MONI,
    "Transmitting the message to endpoint http://server:8080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 404 : Not found."
    No service using the ICM port 8080 is working though active. No XI service, even the ping service in sap/bc/ping is not working.
    I have checked the following:
    1) SLDCHECK (browser opening properly). In ABAP part i am getting error
    Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain
    Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window.
    => Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!
    Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
    Retrieving data from the SLD server...
    Function call returned exception code     3
    => Check whether the SLD is running!
    Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
    => Check SLD function and configurations
    for troubleshooting the above error i have gone through the link

    Still the problem persists while calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEM

    3) The RFC XIINTEGRATION_SERVER is showing also showing error 404.
    4) Checked ICM port - its 8080
    Inspite of working hard over this issue, still unable to resolve this issue.

    I have to send alert message to multiple users (SAP and Non-SAP Users) through ALRTCATDEF.
    I know there is option of creating Distribution List and assign this Distribution list.
    Would like to is there any other possible way to acheive this?
    Can we have the distribution list (SAP and Non-SAP Users) created in email exchange server (ex:- [email protected]) ,create one user in SAP and assign this user to the distribution list that is created in the email exchange. finally provide this in Fixed recipient of ALRTCATDEF.

    What are the advantages going this way rather than creating DL in SAP?

    Hi Sai,
    We are also did in same way.  Created DL in mail exchange server and created one user id in SAP and assigned the DL mail to that user.
    If you do it this way you can add the new members to DL in feature without any risk.

  • Contract Alert messages

    Currently the Alert messsages in our organization are being received by the purchasers of a purchasing group that are assigned to the contract .
    Please let me know if there is any way where i can avoid this and only send Alert messages to the responsible employee of the contract?
    we use program BBP_CONTRACT_CHECK  for triggering the events and send the alerts to users.
    Please advise.

    The mail originates on the appliance itself. I need to specify the upstream smarthost to use when the ironport sends messages to the ironport.com domain. In this case I'm not using the box to relay.

    Some thoughts:
    I wanted to make sure you knew that you didn't have to change the SMTP Server name just to send e-mail to a Yahoo e-mail address. You can stick with your corporate SMTP server and send e-mail to any valid address, assuming your company firewall isn't configured to block e-mail to addresses outside the company.
    If you changed the SMTP server name because you are now trying to send the e-mail from somewhere that doesn't have access to your corporate SMTP server, then there are several issues. First, any public SMTP server that doesn't require user authentication will instead do something else (like look at your IP address) to determine whether or not it will allow you to send the e-mail. Otherwise, spammers would saturate the server with SMTP requests for as long as it remained available.
    Assuming you're trying to use a server that will allow you to use it, are you sure you got the right server name? You should double-check that.
    Finally, it may be that your SMTP server requires user authentication. Yahoo's public ones certainly do; see the Yahoo Help Page on this (http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.htm​l). If this is the case, you may be able to use some alternative VIs created by Rolf Kalbermatter to get the job done, though you should be aware that it could be dangerous to do so. See this thread.

  • IMessages Frequently Fail to Send from OSX

    I am having a problem with iMessages through Messages on OSX Mountain Lion failing to send, or messages not being received.  Typically this occurs after I have not sent/received a message to a contact for a period of time, and resending it will suceed and all future messages will succeed for a period of time.  The period of time ranges from minutes to tens of minutes.  At one time it got so bad that no messages would be sent/received correctly.
    Messages works perfectly on my iPhone.  The problem cropped up very suddenly after I replaced my modem/router.  However, it does not seem to be specifically related to the connection as the problem occurs on any network/ISP I have been on with my laptop.  The iPhone works perfect over cellular or over WiFi, including on my home network.
    What I have tried so far:
    1. Re-syncing Messages on OSX and iPhone by signing out on each, and signing back in (and allowing it to pop up the confimration messages that a new device is signed in).
    2. Deleting a bunch of plists (anything with messages or im in it).
    3. Deleting my keychain.
    Doing these can improve it for a time.  Maybe it will work perfect for an hour before it starts to have issues again.
    Does anyone have any further advice?  If not I should probably contact apple directly.

    I did cross my mind that a New router might have a shorter period before closing what it thinks are unused ports if set to use UPnP.
    For example UPnP will basically allow the app on the computer to tell the router which ports to open.
    In Messages with an AIM or Jabber account you can Video chats from the App.
    This means sending a Visible invite on Port 5678 and potentially connecting on port 16402
    Various routers have a default time that these port remain open after the last data passed.
    The AIM logins as well as the Jabber and Yahoo ones are "Always ON" connections which allows the Buddy lists to update virtually instantly when Buddy goes Off Line, Changes their Status or Message or their Buddy Pic.
    It is less clear about the iMessages account as there is not indicator within the app to say whether you are connected to the server or not.
    Having said that you report that an iPhone is having no trouble using the same router.
    The info I have is that the iOS version and the Mac version do in fact use the same ports to login and send Text.
    It would seem the iOS does a better job of keeping the app connected when it needs to be as well as extending the battery life as long as possible compared to the Laptop.
    I think this is related to the way the OS works rather than a direct setting that you might change  (Although System Preferences > Energy Saver might be a starting place).
    I can see where thr problem might be but have no concrete suggestions as to what steps to take next.
    I feel it is going to be a call to Apple.

    Though the doMessage is being invoked on the server, the exception would arise when the server fails to send the message to the callee.
    Check if there is any callee listening on: 192.168.1.104:1,107. Thats where the server is trying to send the message.
    Make sure 2 text clients are running and have registered with the chat server before sending the message from one to the other.
