Failed to Verify License File Digital Signature
We are trying test our license file with our add-on identifier as provided by SAP. We keep getting a different error each time. Now we are getting "failed to verify license file digital signature" After we did the name substitutions in our license file. How do we fix this?
Hi,
I am sorry, but this is the forum around Solution Certification - not about general SDK questions or issues.
Please use the "regular" Forum (SAP Business One SDK)!
Thanks
PS: You must never modify the license file!

After downloading it ( Run now or Saving it) it will no run because I keep receiving a message saying that Windows can not open this file because it could not verify Apple's Digital Signature. I uninstalled Itunes and Quicktime and all other Apple programs on my system. Then I tried to download it again... no luck the same message came up again. SOAP 1.2 web service fails when SOAP header has digital signatures
Hi,
When we upgraded our JAX-RPC web services from SOAP 1.1 to SOAP 1.2, they started failing with the following response.
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<env:Header>
<env:Upgrade>
<env:SupportedEnvelope xmlns:soap12="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"

<faultstring>Version Mismatch</faultstring>
<faultactor>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/actor/next</faultactor>
</env:Fault>
</env:Body>
</env:Envelope>
The following two errors were in log.xml
An error occurred for port: {http://xxx.xxx.xxx/xxx/1.0/ws/TestService}TestServicePort: oracle.j2ee.ws.common.soap.fault.SOAP11VersionMismatchException: Version Mismatch.
Unable to determine operation id from SOAP Message.
We use web service handlers to add and verify digital signatures. The request message seems to be making it to the web service but is failing before reaching the web service handler which verifies the digital signature.
Everything works fine when we don't add the digital signatures. The SOAP message without the digital signature doesn't have the SOAP header. I've listed the SOAP message with the digital signature below.

We are using Oracle AS 10.1.3.3.0, WSDL 1.1, and SOAP 1.2. Everything works fine with WSDL 1.1 and SOAP 1.1.Take a look 'How to Use a Custom Serializer with Oracle Application Server Web Services' [1].
In your case, you should be looking at BeanMultiRefSerializer (org.apache.soap.encoding.soapenc), which will serialize your data using href and providing a way to deal with cycles.
All the best,

Installation of *.pkg fails to due to invalid digital signature
I am a facing a strange issue, installation of quite a few pcakges downloaded from known/trusted sites fails due to invalid signature. To name a few, MS Silverlight, Google video chat pluging and GNU Emacs.
Please see the attached image for error message when I tried to install google chat pkg. It is strange that, digital signature verfication fails every single pacakge. Any clue what is wrong and how can this problem be resolved.

Thanks for thed detailed response, I tried all the workarounds you suggested, but unfotuantely none worked. I tried from the sheel and here is the what I get.

Failed to verify preflight file ... App Store broken after Mavericks upgrade
I upgraded my OS X to Mavericks and the install was very smooth. Since then, however, I cannot update any apps or purchase new ones in the App Store. I receive a message saying "Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple. The application will be available from the Purchases page." Unfortunately the same thing happens when I use the Purchases page as well.
Am I doing something wrong or did something break with App Store after my installation?What worked for me was changing the certificate preferences in Keychain Access (open Keychain Access app and then go to preferences).
I just changed both of the first two options to 'Best Attempt', they were originaly at 'Require if certificate indicates'.
Hope this Helps -
Failed to verify preflight file
I consistently get this message after upgrading to Mavericks when attempting updates of Apple software (eg iMovie, iPhoto, etc) in App Store: "Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple." Can anyone help me get past this message and update my software?

Digital Signature Not Showing Up in Saved PDF
I am frequently sent pdf contracts that need to be filled out, signed and returned. I turn the pdf into a form and then add a signature field, click "certify with visible signature," sign it and save it as a pdf. But then when I email the signed pdf it has all the form content but doesn't show the signature. Same for when I open the file in Preview. The signature only shows up in Acrobat. Can anyone help explain what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
It was dsaks who originally asking about creating a digital signature and that's what the core of this thread is about. When Mobius Strip asked about flattening the signature into a bitmap image that I suggested using a custom signature appearance, because the progenitor of the thread was asking about digital signatures. If they can get by with using a custom stamp then that's fine by me, but that wasn't the thread topic.
On to your questions:
mrtoner wrote:
I understand why Adobe won't (if that's the case) license the digital signatures ability so that Preview and other applications can use it. However, it should be trivial to allow that wet ink signature appear in other apps and I don't see a compelling reason to prevent it -- afer all, it's not a digital signature.
There is no licensing involved here. The PDF specification is public and the Acrobat SDK even has an example of how to create your own signature plug-in. When it comes to the actual cryptographic operations we license the software from RSA. As far as how the signature is created, and how it should be processed, that's all covered by public facing documentation. In fact, Apple is more than capable of processing signatures using their Keychain utility, it's just that they have elected not to include that functionality into Preview.
If your job is to monitor this forum and assist users, why couldn't you manage to suggest that the other users use the stamps feature, since it was clear that what they were wanting was only the signature image? These folks are spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on your products and they deserve better than this.
It's not my job to monitor the forum. I chime in on digital signature issues because it's a complex subject and there are so few people who understand the minutia of how they work. If dsaks hadn't added "certify with visible signature," to the original post I would have skip this completely, but he/she did so I tried to answer their question.
Finally, it's a bit disingenuous when you stated "The image does not display at all, except in Acrobat/Acrobat Reader". It just doesn't display in the free Mac Preview app. There are other third party signature handlers that will process and display a digital signature in a PDF file, but there are not a lot of them in free PDF viewers. As I said above, if dsaks can get by with a custom stamp then great, but if he/she needs a cryptographically sound digital signature then there is no reason why not to created it because everyone can get the free Reader for the Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.

Digital Signature for QM notification status change
Hello experts,
I need your guidance regarding implementation of user digital signature for QM notification status change. Our customer has ECC 6.0 but they are not inclined to introduce enhancement package 3 soon. Now their requirement is that while QM notification status change they want to have a user signature pop-up to verify the user authorization to do so. But they don't want to do so by using digital signature via DMS status change.
I am really not sure if I have explained the situaion correctly or not as i am quite new to QM. But I am desparately looking forward to get your valued replies in this regard.
Best regards,
AnirbanTo fulfill the FDA requirement we have apply the logic to make sure that a digital signature is captured for status changes during task processing.
To map this requirement we have developed one custom table to store remark that will be displayed on digital signature remarks textbox. This table will have following feild:
STAT - System/ user status
QMART - QN type
SPARS - language
TEXT - character text.
Work with ABAPer to implement this, and after implementing validate following key point:
u2022 Validate that after successful digital signature that the signature cannot be overwritten.
u2022 Validate the locking of the User ID after customer specific number of unsuccessful signature attempts.
u2022 Verify that the digital signature works for each status.
u2022 Validate that if the digital signature is cancelled prior to successful entry that the system status reverts back to previous status and all processing authorizations allowed for that status still function properly.
Hope my reply will help you.

I get this message when I check the Device manager for my Ipod
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
How do I resolve this I have reinstalled iTunes but it still doesn't recognise my ipodI reinstalled Itunes a couple of times. I unistalled all programs that I never use, I updated all of my drivers, Windows swept my computer and found no problems. I have a yellow causion lite when I look at the USB-port with the phone connected. All other devices work without a problem.

Can anyone answer this question for me?
As in, a PDF that has already been created in a different version and has established form fields. Can I open it in Standard and add a digital signature to a field or do I have to use Pro, or does the form need to be recreated? The comparison chart is kind of unclear about this.
Message was edited by: Danny Yoder
Message was edited by: Danny YoderYes. It was possible in Acrobat X Standard and I do not think it was removed in Acrobat XI Standard. It does not matter with which version your PDF was originally created. You can always add fields.
