Failing to publish due to management cert missing on cloud

Hi,
I have done the following
1) downloaded the publish settings file from azure and imported into VS
2) ensured all config files are referencing the cert thumbprint
3) go to publish but it is failing because the management cert is not on cloud service
Going into Azure portal I can see cert under setting but not from dashboard of cloud service.
I thought when I generated the publish settings file that Azure associated the cert with all my services.
OK, if it did not I need to import the cert from my local machine to the cloud service. Problem is the publish settings file has the cert embedded. Is there an easy way to make all this work? Can I not get the cert from the general settings on Azure ans

Root password fails on auth to Solaris Management Console Server

I've setup Solaris 10 x86 on a VA linux 1220 server, all is good so far except when I try to create additional users. I am logged in as root, and the root password logs in to the CDE, but fails on authentication to Solaris Management Console Server when I try to use any of the management apps like computers and networks or Users. So I'm stalled at the point where I should be configuring the system. I have been very careful about typing in the password exactly as I use it in the login screen, but it never works in the System Management tools for This Computer. The password I'm using is 26 characters long, is it too long? Or is there a step I'm missing?

One of my famous guesses, but unless you changed the default password algorithm the maximum length of your password is 8 characters, when logging in on the console or desktop, anything typed after those eight characters will be ignored (unless this behaviour changed very recently).
Its possibly that SMC, and its server component WBEM does not ignore the extra characters, which could cause this behavior.
What happens if you try and login to SMC with the root user and only the first eight characters of your password?
Btw, if this was the problem i think there is a way to change the default crypto algorithm to something that supports more characters.

I have already solved the problem , I have done the following actions:
1. Stop J2EE engine
2. rename folder
     /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap
     Please rename this adssap folder to adssap.old
3. Start J2EE engine
   During starting J2EE engine, folder adssap will be re-generated.
4. Also make sure XMLform.exe is extracted under
    /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin
I restarted the entire instance (ABAP and JAVA) and now all is running fine.

Failed to publish

Hi Gurus
I have developed a application with struts architecture and trying to publish it to the mobile server.
I was able to publish 2-3 applications without struts but not able to publish the current application.
In order to make struts compatible with the JRE version I changed the Java installation directory and then tried to publish the application.
The logs shows the snapshots created but finally fails to publish the application displaying the error as java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Host unreachable: connect .

Actually I am using Display Tag libraries and XML FOP for generating PDF reports along with Struts framework.
I was able to run the application in the debug mode but could not publish the same through Mobile Manager.

We tested the agent, node manager and everything seems to be working fine. Its persistent in UAT environment which is a clustered environment. 1st managed server for SOA is having the issue while the second one is working fine. Below are the list of manages servers in the env:
2 managed servers for ADF,
2 managed servers for BAM,
2 managed servers for SOA,
2 managed servers for WSM.
The affected SOA1 managed server was working fine till last week and there were no changes made to the environment. Please let me know if I can furnish any further info.

Due to security reason, we would like to change management cert on the subscriptions periodically, but I have not yet found a way to do so programmatically.
I have found the "Add Service Certificate" cmdlet but it only allows you to upload the "Service certificate per service",
and I need to be able to change "Management cert" for all 600+ subscriptions.
Could you please tell me if there is a programmatic way to do so?

The package failed to load due to error 0xC0011008

I am trying to run a SSIS Package from SQL Server BI Studio. I receive the error "The package failed to load due to error 0xC0011008". SQL Server 2008 R2 installed (32bit Win 7), along with Integration Services. The Package connects
to a SQL Server DB.
Here is the full error taken from consol in BI Studio:

Any help would be great! I've done a bit of Googling on the topic already.. and nothing has worked so far.

version of the DTEXEC is picked up by SQL Server instead of the new one.

BusinessObjects XI R2 SP 5, FP 5.1
I am trying to schedule a group of reports (crystal reports) via a package where the output destination is to an email. At the event of execution of the scheduled time for the package; the package fails with the error: Component failed to run due to a Object Package scheduling failure. (Note: When scheduled individually it is successful and it was copied to the package from its original location, so there is no mistake in parameters or ODBC connections)
When we go to the history and within the instance, we see that some of the reports have the status as success and some are failed with the same error message. Even though some of the reports are made to fail at the event of 'NO DATA'; what I do not understand is that how come some of the other reports (which contains data and which works when trying to run manually or scheduled individually) are failing.
I would understand something is wrong when the entire package fails which is not the case here as say of 50 reports, 5 are successful and the rest fails with the same error.

Administrator software failed to start due to an unexpected error

Not a terribly useful message from ARD after a fresh install of 10.5.3:
"The Remote Desktop Administrator software failed to start due to an unexpected error."
"The Remote Desktop software may not be installed correctly or the computer may require a restart"
It installed something in the system on first launch then popped up with this message. My main concern is that it pooched my system in the process by replacing something new in Mac OS X 10.5.3 with something old from ARD 3.2...
Restarting now but who knows, might not be back for a while... %-\

Kill the "ARDAgent" program, either in Activity Monitor or Terminal, and it will start back up again. When you see it running again(make sure it's a new instance via the PID), you should be able to start Remote Desktop up without any problems after that.

HSRP fails to work due to h/w failure

We have a situation that HSRP fails to work due to a partial h/w failure on the active router.
What happened is the active router continously getting input error on its Ethernet interface. User traffic fails to be received by this router. However the router is still able to send hello message to its standby router .When we do a sh standby on the active router, it says unknown standby which concluded that it does not receive hello message from the standby. The fault happened everyday . we can clear the problem by rebotting the router but fault came back the next day again for several times. Once we replaced the active router , problem did not return.
In understand HSRP uses mulitcast protocol . but I would like clarification that HSRP is using unidirectional comunication with the standby group. In a situation like this ,my assumption is the TX circuit on the LAN is working but teh RX circuit failed. The standby router would never know the LAN interface of actice router fails to receive its hello messages. Therefore the fail over never trigger.
Appreciate your feedback on this.

I believe HSRP use multicast address for the hello but it still use broadcast to ensure the standby router is active. I can't find such info. to prove it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
For the LAN connection, if the RX is failed, the interface should not up, or say, e.g. if the RX-pair of cable is not connectioned, the interface should down. So, I believe there is something wrong in the LAN interface, it may not only the RX side error.

MacBook Windows7 install failing - ntkrnlpa.exe - "Windows failed to load because the kernel is missing, or corrupt."

Trying to do BootCamp Windows-7 install on my MacBook (running 10.5.x).
Detailed progress notes here. Latest: "Windows failed to load because the kernel is missing, or corrupt." (ntkrnlpa.exe) Hit `Enter` to continue, make next selection, but it comes back to error message. So shut down (power button) then reboot with Windows DVD still in there. Ended up with same error!

Best thing to do is nuke the drive, then reinstall Vista again.
I know this is a long process but should get you back running again.
Linux makes odd partitions that recovery does not understand and they don't get deleted properly, boot and nuke will take care of that.
