Failure to synchronize simulated PXI 5124 cards, but they synchronize without error on physical hardware.

I need to create a software development machine based on our existing experimental machine. We use two PXI 5124 cards mounted in a PXI 1042 Chassis and run LabVIEW 2013.
According to what google has returned, it is currently impossible to simulate a PXI Chassis, so I have the two devices mounted individually. Here is the experimental machine device list:
and here are the simulated devices on my development machine.
I have verified that the simulated devices are working by creating a simple program that graphs the output of the simulated devices. See attached.
However, when I run the program that we use on our experimental machine, the program fails to synchronize the clocks. I'm not sure if I would be allowed to post this program, so I have merely attached a picture of the part that creates an error.
Up to this point, there are no errors, but when synchronization begins, I receive the following error:

NI-TClk does not support the specified session.

According to this page I should be able to synchronize. While no longer in the same chassis, the two devices are still in the "same computer," are they not? Nevertheless, the error message makes me think I'm trying to do something that isn't allowed.
I've tried to look at other posts, but they are mainly concerned with FGEN, which I am not using.
Any ideas?

Hello,
By default, arbitrary waveform generators use High-Resolution Clocking to generate a waveform if the sampling rate that you choose is not an exact integer division of the maximum frequency of function generator. When High-Resolution Clocking is used, the sampling rate you specify can actually be coerced to a slightly different value than specified.
The problem with this is that if your specified sample rate is coerced into a non interger it will not be evenly divisible into other frequencies. When synchronizing multiple devices using NI-TClk, the algorithm will attempt to choose a TClk frequency that all sampling rates can be divided into evenly. Having an actual sampling rate that has been coerced into a non devisable value throws off the NI-TClk algorithm resulting in error -250016.
Could you try to disable High-Resolution Clocking and use Divide-Down Clocking instead. You can do this in LabVIEW using the Clock Mode property of the niFgen Property Node, and setting the value to NIFGEN_VAL_DIVIDE_DOWN.

My imported songs into itunes match are not being uploaded but they are giving error messages

So when I am adding songs to my itunes library I am having issues with these songs being uploaded. I called apple support last time and they fixed the issue with me but it's started all over again. These songs have the little cloud with an exclamation point beside them and they say an error has occurred when uploading when i click on them. When you have that alert icon, generally that means iTunes can't find the original file. What happens if you do a Get Info on the track?

Yes, you can use the camera connection Kit{s Sd card reader, but the images must be in a folder called DCIM and they must have filenames that are exactly 8 characters long plus the 3 letter extension. i.e. image004.jpg

Users open shared files but they get an error that file is already open when actually its not

we have a windows 2012 r2 environment with a hyper-v cluster with 4 virtual servers (2012r2) that are located on an hp storage.
users in the office work on windows 7 pc's and sometimes (more than once per day) when they try to open word or excel files from a shared folder they get a message that the file is already open so it opens in read only mode and they cannot save it. we are
pretty sure and tested that that folder is not open from any other user, because some users tried to open files randomly back from 2012 and they got the same errors again.
i cannot reproduce when i want the problem. i may try reopening files for an hour without having problems.
i tried also to write down the hours that the users may have mostly the problem but i couldnt figure a specific time on the day that the problem occurs.its random.
i want to also notice that we have symantec backup exec 2014 and taking backup on tapes and on deduplication folder with the advanced open file option set to "let VSS to select automatically the provider"
the file server does not record any events in system or dfs replication tab. they only events we got once per 1 or 2 days are in the application tab and its exactly this "the volume recovery was not optimized because an error was encountered:
the file move failed 0x89000016) event id 257,defrag"

when trying to clean up files and folders...
This is what I am using to track file handles when tried to open or deleted. Normally I am finding that backup/vss process has taken, antivirus was scanning, or indexing services were working.
I would recommend you to do the next:
- Disable Windows Search from: Control Panel> All Items> Programs and features> Turn Windows Features On or Off> Uncheck Windows Server. Go to services.msc and Stop Windows Search service.
- Exclude affected folder(s) or drive(s) from antivirus scan/protection, at least 24h.
- Disable backup/vss operations on the drive(s) for at least 24h.

Vocals cannot be heard with the headphones, but they can without. Can somebody help me?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

Simulated device in MAX, self tests without error and has working Test Panels, but doesn't show up in DAQ assistant.

I'm trying to create a development machine where we can test new code without using our physical hardware. I've followed this guide in setting up a simulated device. I can get to step 3.2b, but the device does not show up in the DAQ assistant. In MAX, the device self tests and self calibrates successfully, and when I open the test panels, I see some sort of signal. I assume this is a default simulated input since I haven't told the device to look for anything? Note that the two devices I'm trying to create show up in the Devices and Interfaces section, but that even after running Self-Calibrate, the Self-Calibration date is still unspecified.
When I try to test the device and create a voltage input according to the guide, I am unable to see either device in the DAQ task creator.
Steps 1 and 2 of this guide are obviously satisfied. Step 3 is not, but this is unsurprising since a simulated device wouldn't be found in the Device Manager anyways. Also, I am not running RT, so step 4 is satisfied.
Does anyone have any ideas?

That would be because the PXI 5124 is a digitizer not a analog input device. You need to use the NI SCOPE driver not NI DAQmx

In LabVIEW, go to Help>>Find Examples. Navigate to Hardware Input and Output>>Traditional DAQ>>Multiple Device. There is an example there called "Two E Series Shared Scan Clock". That example is for analog input, but you should be able to modify it to be for analog output. Basically you will just have to share the scan clock from one board(master) and use it as an 'external' clock for the other board(slave).

The iTunes Store typically does not take prepaid "credit" cards since they normally have no billing address associated against which to verify. Why the card worked before but not now I don't know, though Apple has been tightening up their security and that may have finally caught up with that card. You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they may just tell you that it's not possible.

If it is not, then you will need to use a true credit card or purchase prepaid ITunes cards, if Apple has issued them in your country.

How can I synchronize a PXI 5401 and PXI 5124?

I want the PXI 5124 to start aquisition exactly when PXI 5401 starts generation. I want both this devices to trigger al the same time.
My problem is that PXI 5124 triggers the same times that the number of cicles of my arbitrary function generated by PXI 5401.

I can build a Labview program to read HWS file.
I refered Multi-Device Dynamic Generation (Hardware Input and Output -> Modular Instruments -> NI-HSDIO -> Synchronization). I see that It can control multi PXI card but signals on each card are the same.
Because my HWS file have 48 signals, I need 2 PXIe 6556 cards with 48 DIO ports. Mean of my question is that do I have to split HWS file to build a Labview program to control the cards with 2 HWS file?

Compatibility of Pattern I/O with a PXI-6533 card with real time application

I use a PXI-6533 card on a chassis with a PXI-8145 RT controller. I want to acquire 32 bits of data with this card at 1,25 kHz. These data are generated by an external FPGA card together with a clock signal. Referring to the 6533 documentation, a simple way to synchronize the acquisition is to use pattern I/O, entering the clock signal on the REQ pin. I tried the LabVIEW example Cont Pattern Input.vi. It seems to go well, but it does not work when I change this .vi priority to Time-critical or any higher priority than normal. Is there an incompatibility between this type of acquisition and real-time ?

Sorry for this late answer, I effectively added a �wait until next ms function� in the time-critical loop and it seems to work. In fact, I don�t see exactly how, but it works with 1ms up to 50 ms.
Nevertheless, the next step is to add the content of this example in a more complex system with a communication loop to transfer the acquired data to the Host PC. I already have such an architecture, with a �time-critical priority� .VI to read the data at 1.25 kHz and a RTFIFO to transfer them to a second �normal priority� .VI loaded on the PXI, that ensures a TCP communication with the HOST PC. This architecture works correctly on another application with an internal clock, BUT doesn�t with this example, even with your solution.
In
fact, it seems to work when I put the two .VIs loaded on the PXI in �normal� priority, but with a tremendous jitter (the frequency varies from 1 to 2 kHz) and a scan backlog that gets full very fast. Then, the PXI crashes as soon as I change any priority.
You�ll find attached these three .VIs and I hope this could help to find a solution.

Simulation of smart card

Hi ppl,
I'm a student working on a project of simulation of smart card. It involes no hardware at all so the physical layer transmission is ignored. I'm gonna implement the smart card operation using two programmes "card.c" and "reader.c" in the same computer. Yes, it's C not java, but the idea is the same. I just wanna ask is that the programmes r about the same? I mean what exactly should the reader.c and the card.c do? Is it the reader.c simply sends out commands and then the card.c listens and waits for the commands like the client of a client-server scenario? And then once the card.c receives commands, it extracts the useful data according to the ISO17816-4 and then sends back response and the reader.c again provess the data recoived and sends another commands. And the transmission goes on, is it like that?
Plz give me some hits on these. Desperate for some help really.

Here's what I'm gonna do in the programs.
At the very first, the reader sends a reset RST to teh card and waits for repsonse. The card then responses with answer to reset ATR, this gives all the communications protocol used afterwards, so the card will choose like T=1.
And then the reader sends the GET CHALLENGE command to the card asking for a random number e.g. A and response from the card gives the challenge A to reader.
Reader then sends the encrypted challenge [A] with the EXTERNAL AUTHENTICATE command to card, the card replies with a YES or NO indicating if the challenges match.
Reader sends its challenge B with command INTERNAL AUTHENTICATE, card replies with encrypted challenge .
This finishes the challenge-response operation for mutual authentication. I read from books that the key used to encrypt and decrypt the challenge is the master key. But I have no clue how both entities can get hold of the key beforehand. Maybe there's sth like PKI for that.
And then, should there be a verification by using the PIN? So after this verification, the real data and message exchange should occur rite? And I read from books that some cards require every access to the card to have a PIN verification. Well, I think that's almost it for the security part. And I'll have to find some source on how to make a read application of the smart card, like a payment card or identification card. I think one of the most popular standards for payment card is EMV, and I dunno much for the identification card.

How to generate a delayed retriggerable pulse using only one counter with PXI 6070E card

I have a problem in generating a retriggerable delayed pulse with a single counter(triggered through a signal at gate) using PXI 6070E card. VI was developed in NI LabVIEW traditional DAQ Ver.7.1. I have used the "delayed pulse generator config" VI and a "Start counter" & "Stop counter" VIs for the purpose. But there is no output seen at the out terminal of counter. So I introduced a "wait" VI and set it to 1 sec. Now the pulse output appears but some pulses are missing mometarily after every 1 sec interval. (any solution for this)
I have gone through a few similar requests in the forum but they suggest either to use two counters or to generate a finite pulse train which does'nt fit my application. Moreover PXI 6070E has only 2 counter timers. I am already using one counter to measure the frequency of a pulse train(signal 1). The application requires to generate a delayed retriggerable pulse for every pulse in signal 1. So I have only one counter left.
Can I measure the frequency of signal 1 by analog means.? so that I can use two counters for pulse generation. (Signal 1 is a TTL signal).
Request some help.

A finite pulse train (N_Pulses >= 2) does require the use of 2 counters on most of our older hardware including your 6070E. If you're just talking about generating a single retriggerable pulse, you would only need one counter.
Here's an example in Traditional DAQ that shows you how to set a retriggerable pulse generation (it also allows you to adjust the characteristics of the pulse on-the-fly).
If you're writing a new program, you might consider switching to DAQmx as it supports NI's latest hardware and recent OSes should you ever need to upgrade. Traditional NI DAQ is no longer in active development. Here's an example of how to implement a retriggerable pulse generation in DAQmx. You should take note that you can't use the two drivers to simultaneously talk to the same piece of hardware, although you should be able to go back and forth by resetting the Traditional DAQ driver before switching to DAQmx.
