False error message of overlapping timecodes in PAL project

I am working on importing a .txt subtitle folder for a PAL project and an NTSC project. I have the same document for flowing the subtitles for PAL and NTSC except that the PAL uses colons in the timecode and NTSC uses semicolons.
The NTSC project flowed the subtitles in perfectly. The PAL says that I have overlapping timecodes. I do not. Any clues to why I have this bug?

Thanks Guys. I forgot about my post because I figured it out right after I left it. Any timecode that was 00:00:03:28 00:00:04:00 or 00:00:03:29 00:00:04:01 gave me the issue. I shifted them so that they wouldn't overlap the second and all was well.

  • Warning: Your Adobe Flash Player version is outdated. (false error message)

When I get this false error message and click on the link, Adobe tells me my current Flash Player version is 11.9.900.170 and "Your system is: Windows 64-bit, English". I actually have an iMac with OSX 10.7.5, and Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.170 already installed. I've reinstalled, deleted Flash Player completely and reinstalled several times and yet I continue getting these false "Windows 64-bit" update needed error messages for my iMac computer. How do I stop these false error messages?

I'm having a similar issue on both my Macbook Pro (OSX Mavericks), my iPhone 5S (iOS 7.0.4) and my wife's iPhone 5C (iOS 7.0.4). It happens on almost every site I viisit and when I launch some apps. I've cleared histories, caches and turned Javascript on/off. Also, get the "warning" when I use Chrome for iOS. I've added an image below of what it looks like on my phone. I'm attempting a factory restore on my 5S. I'll let you know if it helps.

Why do I get Publish Failed Error Message when trying to publish a project to SWF. I am using Captivate 6 (32 Bit) Version 6.0.1.240. I have tried clearing the Cache and renaming my Preferences folder

    Try the troubleshooting tips here:

You may have something in your project on one of the slides that is tripping up the publishing process.

  • Keep getting error message access denied then already a project with that

    name saved.
I don't understand why this is happening now, I have done this stuff many times before and NOW I am getting this message over and over! I am trying to start a new project and I keep getting that message. (it also says there is already a project using that name that I am trying to save it as. I have tried rebooting and shutting down FCE to no avail. I can't render anything because I guess I am NOT allowed access to my own project. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I have an external drive that my scratch settings are set to. They are still there and the message is STILL bouncing up.
    Thanks in advance
    ruez

The other error message reads "there is already a project with that name", when I try to save it. Then it saves it as a copy, then the next time it is saved as a copy copy. I don't get it! I am doing just what I have always done and now this?
When you say 'drives' what are you referring to exactly? How would I trash my preferences? Where would I check permission on my drives?
Thanks Tom, as I am sitting here that little FCE icon is flashing me already to tell me Autosave: A file of this name already exists. When I click ok, Autosave comes back with access denied.
    Thanks for all your help!!

  • False error message when trying to rent.

When I try to rent a movie, it tries to access the iTunes Store for a while then fails with an error message that it can't connect to the network. However, this same network conncetion works just fine to browse the iTunes Store as well as to navigate the internet and to download elsewhere.

Never mind. Seemed to be a temporary glitch with the iTunes Store.
Haven't seen it do that before.

  • False Error Message, not really sure?

So, I have this wierd error message. When I shut down my comuter manually, and turn it back on, I get an overheat error message. During use I get absolutely no signs that my computer is overheating (no freezes, spuratic shutdowns or restarts). I have windows 8 and I either use an icon I created that shuts the laptop down, or I simple swipe and select "Setting" , "Power" and select shut down. The error message is a bios error message and pops up before windows loads.
I really use vmware workstation for day to day work, which is windows 7 and Windows XP and use my Host, Windows 8 os for fun and personal things. My computer works absolutely fine its :
    HP Envy 15
    16 gb Ram
    i7 Processor
    256 SSD
My only concern is that there is something wrong somewhere and I am not sure where to look at this point any idea anyone? :-(

    Try / Consider:
You might consider checking in your computer's website to see if there is a BIOS update for it.
    Start at
    Support and Drivers
Enter your information, the OS, then click "Next" and scroll down...
    Help on Updating the BIOS:
    Updating the BIOS
    Notes on updating the BIOS:
If you decide to update your BIOS,
    Disconnect all USB drives
    Always run in AC power
Do not touch the system while the update is in progress
Optional: leave wireless button ON, but turn off the router (to make sure there are no interruptions)
    =====================================================================================
    Next:
You can try one of the many free monitoring tools that can tell you the temperature "under the hood".
Two options that come to mind:
    Speccy (select the free version)
    Core Temp
    =====================================================================================
You might call HP and ask about other causes of spurious messages of this type.  The concern, of course, is that the message is valid and that there is something going on that requires your attention.
    Contact HP
    =====================================================================================
There are various diagnostic tools in Windows 8 - for the disks, for the OS, for all sorts of things... to my knowledge (limited), there is nothing that addresses "what if it says it is hot but does not seem hot".  I would definately be a bit wary and call this one in to the HP Tech Center.
    Good Luck!

  • Project Duration error message when loading short iDVD 5 project in iDVD 6

My iDVD 5 project is very short - a total of about 7 minutes (including video and an audio loop for the menu). The video clips were exported as DV NTSC non-self-contained quicktimes from Final Cut Pro.
When I attempt to load the project into iDVD 6, I get the following error message:
    Project duration
Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn this project, remove some content.
Twirling down the triangle for more info gives:
    Project:
    - total project duration: -2147483648:-2147483648 minutes
    - total project capacity: 429496729 GB (max. available: 4.172 GB)
Also, trying to open the Project Info window crashes iDVD.
I haven't attempted burning, but I'm pretty sure it'd be a waste of a DVD.
My only thought is that iDVD 6 somehow is misreading the non-self-contained quicktimes, but I've never had an issue with them before, and it'd be a drag to redo all my projects with space-hogging self-contained versions.

Many people had trouble opening iDVD 5 projects in iDVD 6 when it first came out. My one iDVD 5 wouldn't open at all.

  • Annoying error message prevents me from re-opening projects in Premiere CC 2014

This is the error message I get every time I re-open an old project in Adobe Premeire:
'This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence
preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.'
I'm on a Creative Cloud team membership (at Conde Nast). This started happening when I upgraded from Premiere Pro CC to the newer 2014 version.
I can start a project, start work on it, but when I close it and try to re-open, the message above appears.
I can work around it by starting a new project and importing the timeline from the original project, but the second project has the same issue when I re-open
that, so I'll have about 10 versions of each project I'm working on which is ridiculous!
I've google this problem a few times and have noticed quite a few other users experiencing the same problem.
I've also tried the work around where you change the code in a text editor for each project, but that becomes really tedious also.
Can anyone tell me if Adobe has fixed this yet????
    And if not, WHY NOT???
    Kris

    Hi,
Which Operating System are you working on?
We need to move the SLStore and SLCcahce to the desktop.
For Windows: C: Program Files*86: Common Files: Adobe: SLCache
C: Program Data: Adobe : SLStore
    Thank You

  • General Error message when rendering after opening FCP4 project in FCP5

    Hi,
we're are having trouble with our FCP 4.5 project after opeining it in FCP5. When trying to render it comes up with "General Error" message and won't render the sequence. It also sometimes simply stops rendering without the message. Can anyone help? thanks

Update the version of FCP you're attempting to use as far as it will go for starters. There's no bug I know of that would cause this, so it's more likely an edgy media file getting in the way.
Try rendering just a section at a time and see if you can narrow down the files that may be causing your error.

  • Error Message when trying to save iMovie Project

I have been working on a project in iMovie for several weeks. Yesterday I ran a back-up of my hd on my lacie, and today, when I work on my project and then try to save my changes I get the following message:
The project could not be saved. The disk might be full or locked, or you might not have permission to save in the current location (0).
I have plenty of room on my hd. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?
    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

You'll get this error if you attempt to open a project that was moved to another drive. Moving it back to the drive it was first created in resolves the problem.
It's okay to move the project to another folder, as long as the folder is in the same drive.
To permenently house a project in another drive for archiving and/or future editing, open it and use the "Save as..." command to save it in the new drive.
    Hope that helps.

  • Error message when attempting to burn idvd project

please help. I have recently created several movies from vhs with no problems in idvd, the latest one is giving me problems though.
i created the movie in imovie and shared it with idvd (no problems) used the same exact theme as the other two movies (made sure there were no error messages in any of the menus) and clicked burn. Everything appears to encode properly, but i get an error message in the burn stage and need to force quit to exit idvd. after three attempts i now also get a "multiplexor" error.
I tried to make a burn disc with a small file to see if the superdrive is functioning properly and it seemed to take forever (never happened before)
Any ideas? I'm trying to get this done before Christmas.

alright, i added new ram, so i am running 2 gigs now, tried again...failed. i get all the way to burn and a popup comes up saying burning finished errors found during the burning process, i click ok and the burning wheel is still turning and i need to force quit to get out of idvd. i might go crazy, so any help is appreciated.

  • Error Message Briefly Stopping Me From Opening Project

Every so often when I'm trying to open a project I get this message (image attached) that stops me from opening it. After an hour or two I go back and try again, and it opens fine.
When I get the message, I've tried opening other projects and just get the same message, then they open fine again later.
Any idea what be causing this and how to stop it? It's getting to be a bit of a nuisance.

If i am not wrong, i think your are getting this error on your MAC as this is a known issue on the apple community. According to the Apple support forums, error -4960 means your download may have been interrupted due to some reason.
So, uninstall the Adobe download Assistant and try to download the same using a different browser like Chrome or Firefox and then check.
You may also get the direct download link for PS CS5.1 from the below link.

  • When finalizing iMovie with less than a minute an error message said can not publish because project is already open!

My question is I get error message when finalizing imove projects saying "can not plublish your project with an open project"
Where do I find this open project?
    Thanks
    John

It seems like there's a number of these being posted all around the iMovie Discussion Group. So the solution posted most recently that seems to work for the largest number of people is this:
This requires using the Terminal app, in your Applications/Utilities folder
To turn off Time Machine snapshots type in the following command:
    sudo tmutil disablelocal
The Mac will likely ask for your password, so type it in and hit the return key. The type the word, exit and hit return. Quit Terminal.

There was a time not so long ago that the info one received from HP's tech support et al was helpful and relevant, Unfortunately, those days have become rare. This reply is evidence of that. It's almost as if you have a program that scans user's submissions for certain keywords and then posts a reply with a link to a solution that may apply based on the keyword. In the case of the CP1215, the paper jam error is FALSE!!! No one who is complaining about this issue has a paper jam!! You can post replies with your condescending link to your Paper Jam Resolution site all day long and it will NEVER rectify the situation hundreds of people are having with this printer! In my case, I have 2 printers with this exact same issue. My CP1215 as well as my 2200D both are completely useless due to a false "Paper Jam" message that won't allow the printer to print. Neither printer has printed more than 500 pages!!!!!
Thank you HP for transitioning from one of the best tech companies in the world to just another company that has no time or money to be concerned with the problems its customers are having with one of their products. I used to be proud that I owned HP printers if for no other reason than the quality of the products and the reputation - I even recommended your products to everyone who would listen. Not any more. Maybe one day one of the revolving-door CEO's will do a Google search for problems customers are having with your products and will see that the company's status quo isn't acceptable and do something to fix the problems internally that are affecting so many of your customers and also help the thousands of individuals who have basically hit a wall with regard to finding any kind of solution to the problems they have with their printers.
