It appears that when you go from the 1.3.1 page and then go to the
1.4.1 plug-in based
page the 1.4.1 plugin attempts to hook onto the 1.3.1 VM. I would of
expected to see
a new 1.4.1 VM be started (with no errors, obviously).
Try this:
Test - Java Plug-in 1.3.1 to a Java Plug-in 1.4.1 page
Step 1 - Open a new browser window to
http://192.18.97.35/products/plugin/1.3/demos/applets/ArcTest/example1.html
Step 2 - In that same browser window go to
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4.1/demos/plugin/applets/ArcTest/example1.html
You'll receive the following error:
Title: "Java(TM) Plug-in Fatal Error"
Message: "Attachment to a running Virtual Machine failed"
To further show the errors that occur when trying to load multiple
plug-in VMs try the reverse.
Test - Java Plug-in 1.4.1 to a Java Plug-in 1.3.1 page
Step 1 - Open the 1.4.1 url in a new browser window.
Step 2 - Now, in the same window, navigate to the 1.3.1 site.
You'll receive another error message this one appearing to be uglier
than before.
Title: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
Message: "Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
abnormal program termination."
Key things to note:
Browsers: IE 5.5,
6.0 (6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920IC)
Netscape 6.2+ (not personally verified but reported by a
client)
OS: Win2K, WinXP

Hi,
let me get your right ok , you are trying to see if a browser running 1.3 is gonna work if you try switching to 1.4 right, well it should work if you security options are correct or else it does'nt load the class files and hence will cause exceptions, but the it is still not supposed to fail ok , hope that answers your doubts ,

  • Error: native library oljdbc40.dll already loaded in another classloader

Hi, we're using Oracle 8iLite in combination with Tomcat (on WinNT4.0) to run servlets accessing our OLite db. We use a deployed db (Deployment tool: PolUtil.exe) and pure JDBC connections.
When starting tomcat, the servlet is automatically initialized (exactly once!). It comes to the point, where a database connection is to be established. At this point, we get the following error message:
Native Library E:\MyServer\DB\BIN\oljdbc40.dll already loaded in another classloader
The strange thing is, that this error only occurs on some machines. There are no other java apps running.
Where does this error come from, and how can someone avoid this seemingly arbitrary error?
Thanks in advance for your time, Holger

You are having some problems with that Oracle Driver and Orion.
Do you have any JSP at your Installation that work with Oracle?
Orion needs to know where that Diver is located is that Driver in
some package that is in Orion's Class Path?

  • Bonjour java already loaded in another classloader error

I'm using the java bonjour library (dns_sd.jar) in a web application running in Jboss web server.
When I start the server a Servlet finds every resource on the network with bonjour and returns to the user. The first time everything runs great but when I redeploy the web app I get:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Native Library C:\Windows\System32\jdns_sd.dll already loaded in another classloader
I already tried deletting the .dll and the samething happens.
Why does it even refer the .dll if I have the .jar lib in my web app?
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

    marcosRoriz wrote:
But I can't use another instance of IXCRegistry? You understand that you have two class loaders right?
The shared library is loaded by the OS into the application. There can be only one.
The VM wants to associate that single shared library with the class loader that loaded it.
One solution is to have a class loader for just that class. Note that the OS, not the VM, will not let you have two instances of the shared library so it is generally pointless (in terms of class loaders) to have more than one.

  • Formatted Search error with a different user

I created an add-on form and assigned formatted search to some of the fields.
When I logged in with a different user(<b>test</b>) and tried to use the FS via Shift+F2, I received an error saying "You're not permitted to define recurring postings".
I gave that user the authentication for recurring postings, but now I receive an unclear error when I try to use the FS on the same editbox:
"<b>You are not permitted to perform this action</b>."
<b>Any ideas</b> ? What may be the reason for that unclear error message ?
    <u><b>Note:</b></u>
<i>After logging on with the same test user, when I try Shift+F2 on another editbox (which is normally not assigned a FS) it works normally and I can do all FS operations like assigning a new FS, etc.</i>

    Hi!
sometimes there are strange things with user permissions.
i had some troubles with 2 users which have the same permissions. i solved it by 'drag'n'dropping' permission of the 1st user (which works ok) to the 2nd.
try to do the same - drop 'good'-user permissions to 'test'-user.
if it'll not solved problem then try to create new user and test your addon under that user.
probubly your problem has another motive, but i have such strange behaviour and i've described you my solution.
    hope it'll help.
sorry for my poor EN, hope it'll be better in some centuries

  • Applet works fine with JNLP... but not on my web page

I can create a seperate JNLP for my applet, and it works fine. However, when I try to insert it into a web page, it does not work. I was wondering if this was a common newbie issue, and how I would go about fixing it. I compiled it using the newest J2EE JDK and the newest JSE (downloaded and installed a couple of weeks ago).
Any help would be greatly appreciated... thank you.

If you want to insert an applet in a web page you use java plug-in, not java web start. You can use Java Web Start to deploy an applet outside of a browser, but plug-in is still the primary applet deployment method, and the only one that can show an applet in a web page.

  • Text on a web page is highlighted with a link to another web page, is this an add-on or some other Firefox issue?

Today certain words on a web page are being highlighted in yellow with a double underscore and hovering over them causes a link to an external site to appear. I haven't knowingly installed any add-ons so is this being caused by something within Firefox or is it external?
    Thanks for your help
    Tim

It would help to know the website, the words underlined and details of the link.
It sounds like a spell or grammar check or a translation facility.

  • Fatal Plug-in Error / Yahoo Games

I use Windows XP Home SP2. When attempting to sign into any Yahoo game room, I get the following: "JAVA (TM) Fatal Error. The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded." A second attempt to sign in results in "Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error." Anyone have a clue as to what I can do? I can no longer enter ANY Yahoo game room. This has happened with JRE version 1.6.0 (build 1.6.0_02-b05) and (build 1.6.0_02-b06).

I tried on Mozilla Firefox and same problem. As I research the www, I see many have encountered the same problem, regardless of version of Java or operating system. It just seems to be an unexplainable bug. Some have offered "fixes" that worked for them, but they have failed for me. Grrrrrrrrrrr! ie. Start>Control Panel>Java>Java Applet Runtime Settings>Java Runtime Parameters...set parameter to 1/2 or 3/4 of RAM. Setting mine to 1/2 continued to fail 100% of time. Setting to 3/4 of RAM gave me entrance to the lobby to chat, but when I tried to start a game table I was promptly booted from the lobby!

  • Firewire causes Fatal/Stop Windows error with ipod/dock connector

    Hello,
Anyone have any ideas on this one? It's an older Ipod so I'm sure there's some kind of fix for this by now... and I see alot of issues with this on the net in general (but no fixes....wait, now I'm worried...).
    Windows XP, sp2
    New PC, screaming RAM
USB 2.0 works fine, can update 3g Ipod (20GB with dock connector) just fine (and doesn't charge the ipod which is normal for 3g/2.0 USB connections).
When Firewire is connected, charges Ipod just fine until Itunes starts up and tries to access the Ipod, in which case Windows gets blasted out of existance with a fatal stop error.
Is this a bus command issue? Driver issue? Everything works just fine with everything else. I'd like to use the firewire to keep the thing charging while I synch as the USB port runs the battery down QUICK!

    hiya!
(didn't we already meet off in another thread about this sort of thing?)

what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
here's a reference on the sorts of things i'm asking about:
    Troubleshooting Windows Stop Messages
if you're just seeing a flash of a blue screen, we can use this technique to slow it down a bit:
    1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
    2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
    3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
    4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.

  • Plug in Error with Enterprise 10

    Post Author: lbuffo
    CA Forum: Exporting
We are using Enterprise and Crystal 10.  When going through the webserver and trying to view reports, we get this error
ERROR:  This plugin does not support the requested action
Users can see reports, schedule them etc, but cannot view them or obviously export them using Report Directory Client, even Administrator.  However, as an Admin if I log in to Crystal Management Console, I can view all the reports using the viewer.  I have the reports set to Active X.
    Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks,

Have you asked in the specific program forums to see if people there have seen the problem and have a solution
This forum is actually about the Cloud, not about using individual programs
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use

  • Camera Raw 5.4 beta plug-in error with Hasselblad H3D-39

Whenever I open a .3FR file taken with my Hasselblad H3D-39 in Adobe Camera Raw 5.4 Beta I get
"Error. Unable to read the ful size image. There was an unknown error"
and a white exclamation mark inside a red octagon shows at the top right corner of the image.
Any idea why and what the implications are?
    Thanks,
    Antonio

    Hi Antonio,
    Two questions...
    1. Are you sure you are using the dialog inside 64-bit Photoshop, or is it possible that you are using the Bridge-hosted Camera Raw dialog to open the files? To check this, verify which application is the current, active, application in the Windows tool bar while the Camera Raw dialog is up (you may have to exit full-screen mode to see it).
    2. Can you open the file if you quit and re-launch Photoshop/Bridge then attempt to re-open the file, does the error still occur?
    Thanks,
    David

  • EyeTV MPEG Plug-in error with iWork/iLife programs

I just loaded Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on my 27" iMac.  None of the iWork or iLife programs seem to run.  I tried iMovie, Pages and Numbers and all produce a message box stating "<app> quit unexpectedly while using the EyeTV MPEG support plug-in.  I had removed EyeTV several months ago.  After these errors, I removed all references to EyeTV in the library caches, but the error still occurs.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application uninstaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • IPod touch 5 is charged. Won't turn on. Plugged into computer with two different cords. They both work with my iPad. My home button is also jammed. Please help!

I used my iPod yesterday, and it was charged. I put it on the floor, and took it into my room before I went to bed. I wanted to check what I missed while I wasn't using it, but it was "off". I put it on the charger, and it should've been charged up by morning. It still didn't turn on. I tried plugging it into my iMac, but nothing happens when I plugo in my iPod, but works with my iPad. My home button is also jammed, and I've tried to get it To work again, but I've had no luck.
Is there something I can do to turn my iPod on again?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    or
    http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
