Fault policy files in MDS repository is not working..

Hi All,
I have created my fault policy and fault bindings file and tested in my local project. It worked fine.
To make it available in MDS,
I added the files under JDeveloperHome/jdeveloper/integration/seed/apps/faulthandling
I deployed this MDS repository to my server by the below method.
I created a new generic application, then a generic project, to which I added a new Deployment Profile of type JAR file.
To the JAR file, I added my folder in which the policy files exist. I created a SOA bundle from the ‘Applications’
Then I deployed the project to my server finally.
For all these things I refferred to
http://www.orafmwschool.com/soa-11g-mds/
Now in my adf-config.xml I have made changes as follows.
<metadata-store-usage id="mstore-usage_2">
<metadata-store class-name="oracle.mds.persistence.stores.file.FileMetadataStore">
<property value="D:\StudyForInstalling\SOA11gHome\jdeveloper\integration" name="metadata-path"/>
<property value="seed" name="partition-name"/>
</metadata-store>
</metadata-store-usage>
Then in my composite.xml I have,
<property name="oracle.composite.faultPolicyFile">oramds:/apps/faulthandling/fault-policies.xml</property>
<property name="oracle.composite.faultBindingFile">oramds:/apps/faulthandling/fault-bindings.xml</property>
I hav shutdown the partnerlink service.
Now, I can see remote exception while executing. My fault policy files are not executing.
In the same apps/ I have my PurchaseOrder.xsd file. When I tried importing the schema to my project from the mds, it is working fine.
I used like this in my wsdl.
<import namespace="http://www.order.org" schemaLocation="oramds:/apps/faulthandling/PurchaseOrder.xsd" />
Why is my faultpolicy file not working?
Kindly help me
Thanks,
Sabarisri .N

I am not sure if we can use oramds references as properties values in composite.xml. Did you try with preferences ??

    Can you re-verify the path provided for MDS?

  • SOA BPEL 11g (11.1.1.3.0) - Using encapsulated retries in fault-policy file

    Hi,
    We are using oracle SOA suite 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
    I'm trying to configure a fault-policy file so that it first retries 20 times every 20 secs, then reties 20 times every 10 minutes, then retries 23 times every hour, then retries 24 times every 6 hours and if the fault persists call a java action to send an email and then go to human-intervention. It seems however that only the first retry is executed. The rest ones are ignored and the action following the first retry failure is the Java Action. The fault-policy is as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <faultPolicies xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/faultpolicy">

    Is retrying with various intervals only done by using the tag <exponentialBackoff/>?
    Thanks for any response.

    I had a similar requirement, although not as elaborate as yours. After I failed to figure it out myself I filed a SR. Basically, you cannot restart a retry block after the first execution to avoid an infinite loop.
    If you need to send the e-mail after the 23rd hour, why not just retry until the 23rd hour and send an e-mail?

  • XPath expression test possibilities in Fault Policy file

    Hi All,
    It would be a great help if someone can show me a way to implement the next case:
    I have the next scenario, in a fault policies file I have different actions to execute for the same fault andI have to choose what action will be executed checking a value that has not relation with the $fault variable. The value indicates the number of retries that I have to try the invocation. This is the code, but this code is not working. Anybody knows how to declare the variable to be accesible in the fault policy?
    Thanks in advance,
    <Conditions>
    <faultName xmlns:bpelx="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension" name="bpelx:remoteFault">
    <condition>
    <test>$Var=1</test>
    <action ref="ora-retry-one"/>
    </condition>
    <condition>
    <test>$Var=2</test>
    <action ref="ora-retry-two"/>
    </condition>
    <condition>
    <test>$Var=3</test>
    <action ref="ora-retry-three"/>
    </condition>
    </faultName>

    <Actions>
    <Action id="ora-retry-one">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>5</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>2</retryInterval>

    <Action id="ora-retry-two">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>7</retryCount>

    </Action>
    <Action id="ora-retry-three">
    <retry>

    <exponentialBackoff>1</exponentialBackoff>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    </Actions>
    </faultPolicy>
    </faultPolicies>

    Hi,
    Here is an example of the possible solution:
    In fault policy file:
    <Conditions>
    <faultName xmlns:bpelx="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"
    name="bpelx:remoteFault">
    <condition>
    <test>"my_xpath:getRetryCount()=number(1)"</test> (getRetryCount is a custom XPath that returns the number of retries)
    <action ref="ora-retry_1"/>
    </condition>
    <condition>
    <test>"my_xpath:getRetryCount()=number(2)"</test>
    <action ref="ora-retry_2"/>
    </condition>
    <condition>
    <test>"my_xpath:getRetryCount()=number(3)"</test>
    <action ref="ora-retry_3"/>
    </condition>
    <Actions>
    <Action id="ora-retry_1">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>1</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>1</retryInterval>
    <exponentialBackoff>1</exponentialBackoff>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    <Action id="ora-retry_2">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>2</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>1</retryInterval>
    <exponentialBackoff>1</exponentialBackoff>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    <Action id="ora-retry_3">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>3</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>1</retryInterval>
    <exponentialBackoff>1</exponentialBackoff>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    The problem of this solution is that the number of retries is finite but I don't know other way to do it.
    Cheers

  • Power book G4 Leopard 10.5.8. File sharing preference checked but not working after start up until unchecked and the rechecked?

    I hope the title is enough info, please ask. In the mean time I have created an applescript to open preferences/ sharing and uncheck then check the file sharing box. This works but I would obviously prefer it just work normally. I have no corrupt preference files. Perhaps a file is missing? Thank you.

    Greetings Kwnez
    I'm not up to your level of expertise yet. I'm networking and file sharing too, on my Mac Powerbook 1.33 GHz PowerPC G4; OS 10.5.8 Lepoard. At the public library I found by asking the clerk a book Authored by David Pogue. "Mac OS X Leopard the Missing Manual". It (the book) has helped me ask better questions. I'm not saying that your question "
    Power book G4 Leopard 10.5.8. File sharing preference checked but not working after start up until unchecked and the rechecked?
    is hard for me to understand, I went to system preferences and looked at the sharing box. when I clik it it opens up and the first thing I see is my computers name, and under that i see, " Computers on your local network can access your computer at: ...-powerbook-g4-15.local"
    What I'm saying is "Are we on the same Page"

  • Uploading Files Using InputFile Component -- Sometimes not working

    Hello,
    This is the 2nd time I make a post about it!
    Because I have more than 1 application using upload, and everything is correct! But it doesn't work as it should!
    You can check the original post here: Uploading Files Using InputFile Component - Sometimes not working
    I need a solution please!
    The only thing we can conclude is that it could be a bug from oracle !!! (???) But I talked with other people and they say that it works fine for them.
    There is one important thing: when we put a form to "Uses Upload = true" it seems that the page doesn't work very normal. For exemple: if you use a table in a form that uses upload the table get's "crazy".
    Thanks,
    JP

    I have now access to METALINK!
    I can find some problems and patches about inputFile but not mine! I will check better later!
    I think the problem is caused because of my framework!

  • Fault policies locaton and test xpath conditions not working.

    I cant place fault policies files in a non mds location or the composite directory.
    For example it does not work with an /opt/...... server path in the composite.xml property.
    Also, I can't get working xpath test expressions like this:
    <condition>
    <test xmlns:elem="http://na.telefonica.com/elementoscomunes">$fault.fault0/elem:AREA_ERROR/ErrorType = "F"</test>
    <action ref="reintentos-neon"/>
    </condition>
    In jdeveloper, the part is "fault0", and the subelements are like i've showed, but the condition never matches.
    I saw in a forum that the sintax was $fault.nameofpart/xpathexpression, but doesn't seem to work. I've tried lots of permutations of the syntax, and also with 'F' instead of "F".
    ¿Any Idea?

    This is the exception in the server GUI
    <fault>
    <bpelFault>
    <faultType>1</faultType>
    <OBA_Par_Alta_AveriaFault>
    <part name="fault0">

    Channa,
    I sounds like you might have missed a configuration step on your Linux application server (AS). I recommend you go back through the configuration of your AS and verify each step of the WebUtil Runtime Setup Checklist was completed correctly. Seach the Forms Help system on "Runtime Setup Checklist" for a copy of the checklist.
    Hope this helps,

  • File Upload UI element is not working properly inside Table Popin container

    Hi Expert,
    I created a table with popin, i placed file-upload UI element inside table popin contatiner.
    The file upload UI element is displaying properly but, when i click the browse button to select  the file, the file open dialog box is not popping out.
    will table popin support file-upload UI element inside it?
    it not is there any other way to call a file_open dialog box from inside the table popin.
    Thanks,
    James

    If you are on NetWeaver 7.01, you can try both the ACFUpDownload UI element or try creating your own FileUpload in Adobe Flex with Flash Islands.  ACFUpDownload requires the KPRO by default (which is why the same application isn't working for you), but you can write your own handler class to act as the KPRO receiver.  Here is an eLearning on the topic:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/109b9b52-bc00-2c10-8786-e4c5e96d7e04

    If you want an eLearning on the FlashIslands approach, you can find it here as well:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50d42644-91ef-2b10-228c-9e0ae75b274e

    However in both of these approaches you still have to be careful with how you handle large files.  The problem is that they are processed often a single binary string.  This makes the processing easy, but requires total amount of session memory at least as large as the file being uploaded.  In NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP adds the concept of Streams and Locators to help with the partial processing of large files.  This feature doesn't come until later this year, but if you are interested you can learn about it here:

  • File too large - attachment settings not working

    Hi there
    We are having problems with attaching files in IMS 5.2 & wondered if anybody can help.
    Our outgoing mail message max size is set to 50MB (I know about the extra 33% space required for encoding) and yet we still cannot attach files to emails that are greater than 5MB.
    Does anyone have any idea why this is not working?
    Anytime we try to send a 7 or 8 MB file an error "File too large "comes up right away
    The settings in the messaging server console is set to 50MB. This is under the HTTP service
    There was a previous post but the solution did not solve my problem.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    There are separate settings for webmail attaqchments. Please check documentation at:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6020-10/cfgutil.htm
    and look at:
    service.http.maxmessagesize
    and
    service.http.maxpostsize
    these both default to 5 megs.
    You have to restart the webmail daemon to make a change take effect.

  • File sharing with MBP does not work

    The problem is that I cannot connect to my first-gen MacBook Pro from my 2 Ghz Intel iMac in my own home network. I have tried opening all ports in the sharing menu without success. The laptop shows up in the finder window but no connection is made. There is not even an error message. It simply says (after a long while) that the connection failed. Nothing even happens when I try to click on the "connect as" button. This is true for file sharing and screen sharing. I can connect to the iMac from the laptop, ironically enough. I was able to connect both ways at one point. My set-up is as follows: airport express connected to modem/router; iMac and laptop connected wirelessly to airport express. Any ideas would be great. I am at a complete loss as the laptop has no other connection issues of any kind.
    Update: I just got an error message for the first time: The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and your network connection and try again.

    Connecting via "connect to server" in finder menu using afp does not work either. FYI. It just tries connecting for a long while and then gives me the following error (-36). The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "afp://....." could not be read or written.
