FB03 transaction is not running
Hi Gurus,
Im client's production system the FB03 transaction is not executing. Its displaying a message - 'FI programs are currently being generated; wait for approx. three minutes'. So when i debugged and checked there was a database table by name fagl_cus_geninfo which didnt have any entries and so the sy-subrc was getting as zero. I couldnt find how the table can be maintained. Any ideas??
If it didn't have any entries, the subrc would have been 4.

hi,
I have enable snapshot isolation level, in my database all queries execute in read commited isolation only one big transaction uses snapshot isolation.
q1)i wanted to know if snapshot silation transaction is not running but database is enable for snapshot ,then will the normal
queries using read commited will create versions or not.
yours sincerley.Enabling snapshot isolation level on DB level does not change behavior of queries in any other isolation levels. In that option you are eliminating all blocking even between writers (assuming they do not update
the same rows) although it could lead to 3960 errors (data has been modified by other sessions).

Task does not run with transaction currency
Dear All,
When i am executing IU AR/AP elimination, I am getting error " Task does not run with transaction currency ("per TC" option reset) "
Message no. UCF5104
Diagnosis
The present task is configured so that no values are analyzed in transaction currency. However, the option "per transaction currency" is selected in the method definition. This only makes sense if you also want to analyze the values in transaction currency.
System response
The task is being executed without the option "per transaction currency".
Please advise me how to resolve the issue.
Regards,
MalaniDear Dan,
I would like to know what will be the effect if we remove o-Per Currency option in Method.
I would like to know, in the document also in properties tab - in Key figures - Check box - Transaction Currency. If i select the warning message not coming. So kindly let me know what exactly check box -Transaction currency is used in Document type and whether it is interlinked with Method.
Thanks

SAPOSCOL not running in MS Cluster
Hi, gurus:
We have a problem with SAPOSCOL in a SAP ECC 6.0 system (SAP ECC 6.0 + NetWeaver 7.00 + Oracle 10.2 + Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition) running over a MS cluster:
Transactions OS06/ST06 shows no data, and they show an info message wich states: SAPOSCOL not running ? (shared memory not available ). When we checked this issue, we noticed that, in fact, there is no sapcoscol.exe task running in any node.
But when we try to start the service (both using microsoft services console and cmd commands) although we can see the process running in the node which owns all the resources, SAP seems not notice that. The information system shows in ST06>Operating System Collector>Status is the following:

Can anyone shed some light on the subject?
Thank you very much and kind regards
Edited by: Jose Enrique Sepulveda on Sep 6, 2008 2:10 AMDear bhaskar:
Thanks for your reply. We have considered balancing the system to the other node or reboot the system to free resources, in order to re-create the shared memory, but in the past, the balancing process (move resources from one node to the other) has caused problems. Since this is a critical system, stopping (or balancing) is not an option right now, and updating the kernel requires an ABAP stack reboot plus the kernel change : any changes in system configuration requires a longer approval/planning process than a reboot.
Moreover, the OS collecting system and its display in OS06/ST06 has worked fine until now.
Does anyone knows if a reboot has solved this kind of problem in a similar situation?
Thanks in advance

RFC : Transaction Program not Registered
Hi Folks,
We have registered the server program from the middleware onto SAP R/3 System and is successfully registered as per the logs. As a next step, we have logged into R/3 System, SM59, in the RFC destination (Type TCP/IP) after specifying the registered program, we have tested it(Connectivity test). The test is positive and connectivity is established successfully.
The solution was working for months and suddenly connectivity is broken.
To restore the connection, we have repeated the steps, registered the server program, tested and everything is fine.
But when we have pushed a new message, then onwards the RFC destination shows an error. "TP is not registered", Return Code 679. That is when the first message is pushed, it is de-registering the server program and running into error. All the messages got stuck in SM58 with status 'Error when opening an RFC connection'.
RFC trace shows
ERVER> Caller transaction code: (Caller Program: SAPLQOWK)
ERVER> Called function module: ARFC_RUN_NOWAIT
Error RFCIO_ERROR_SYSERROR in abrfcpic.c : 1501
CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=2 thRc=679
Transaction program not registered.
Please let me know for any inputs.
Thanks, SurajMy problem got solved. In the middleware, when TRFC connection is made, it has created a lock entry during the time, system was brought down for maintenance activity. When the system is brought up, then as the connection lock entry is available, then it deregistered the server program and not able to establish further connection.
To resolve the issue, we have just deleted lock file and registered server program from middleware. This time the connection was established successfully and could able to restore the message flow.
Thanks, Suraj -
Current server is the coordinator and transaction is not found
Hi,
We're using Weblogic 8.1 SP3. We have a single weblogic domain and 2 clusters in it. EAR1 is deployed in cluster 1 and EAR2 is deployed in cluster 2. EAR2 is compiled and created using j2ee.jar and not weblogic.jar.
We have a MessageDrivenBean which is CMT / Required in EAR1 calls a BMT Stateless Session Bean in EAR2.
A new transaction is begun in the BMT SB method and commit or rollback is called based on exception. A RuntimeException is thrown back to the MDB in case the transaction is rolled back in Bean Managed SB.
Sometimes from the Bean Managed SB the following exception is thrown:
javax.transaction.TransactionRolledbackException: Current server is the coordinator and transaction is not found. It was probably rolled back and forgotten already.

This is not consistently reproducible though it happens when server is heavily loaded. When this exception occurs, the transaction in the BMT Session Bean is actually getting committed! The message gets redelivered from the MDB.
What could be the problem?

SandhyaI'm seeing a similiar problem on our servers recently and thought I would add my problem as well. We are using Weblogic 8.1; don't know which SP is in production. We have an EAR file with an SB EJB that puts messages in a queue. The EAR is deployed in a cluster along with the queues. The errors below occurred in 3 of the 4 WLS instances in our cluster. This happened during a peak period and lasted for several seconds in Production.

Error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
Hi,
I was going to install a winff package (a GUI front end to ffmpeg for converting between video formats), but when I ran yaourt -S winff and tried to install it refused because it isn't for the x86_64 architecture. So I decided to edit the PKGBUILD and perhaps try to force it anyway, but then I saw that the PKGBUILD is actually getting the precompiled RPM package and as I checked, while there was no precompiled 64bit version of the RPM there was one for a deb version that is offered on winff site.
Since deb's are just archives I ended up, after a few tries, with this PKGBUILD which uses ar and tar commands to get to the binaries inside of the amd64 deb:
# Contributor: yugrotavele <[email protected]>
# Modified by libervisco for x86_64
pkgname=winff-amd64
pkgver=0.42
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="GUI for ffmpeg"
url="http://www.winff.org"
license=('GPL')
depends=('ffmpeg gtk gdk-pixbuf')
makedepends=('')
source=('http://winff.googlecode.com/files/winff-0.42-amd64.deb')
arch=('x86_64')
md5sums=('1febf5fd19fa76bdc1da06d3e6c4d3b8')
build() {
ar vx winff-0.42-amd64.deb
tar xvzf data.tar.gz
install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/bin/winff $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/winff
install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/share/winff/presets.xml $startdir/pkg/usr/share/winff/presets.xml
install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/share/winff/winff.png $startdir/pkg/usr/share/winff/winff.png
So what I basically do is run yaourt -S winff and when it asks whether I want to edit it, I edit it and replace the original PKGBUILD content with above.
It successfully runs the build() commands, finds and installs the dependencies, but when it's time to install the actual new winff package is throws up this:
loading package data...
checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: winff: requires ffmpeg gtk gdk-pixbuf
I don't get it. It installed all the dependencies (and I even checked whether winff works in one of the earlier tries when I manually installed gdk-pixbuf when the binary asked for it). What does it want now?
Here is the whole process:
[daniel@memeport ~]$ yaourt -S winff

I tried doing it without changing the package name to winff-amd64, but same thing happens. What's going on?Ahh man, and that's it! It works.
I'm just wondering now how can I contribute this PKGBUILD to AUR, but I can read that in the wiki too.

[Urgent] Error: The transaction is not active
Our process encounters some errors when the execution time takes longer than normal, e.g. 5mins. Any help is much appreciated.
Process Flow:
The flow consists of 3 process, 1 long-lived process and 2 short-lived processes, let say process A, B and C
Long-lived process A call short-lived process B,
and then, short-lived process B call another short-lived process C.
There is a loop inside process B, so that process C would be called several times.
* Both invocation policy have been tested, including "Do not wait for response" and "Wait for response".
Problem:
Everything work fine when the whole process is within a short-period of time. e.g. 1-2 minutes
However, when the process takes longer, e.g. > 5mins, we got some error message in the sever log.
Server log:

Thank you for your advice.
It seems that it is not a bug of Adobe Livecycle, but some kind of configuration problems. Since the problem does not occurs when the process implementation time is short, such as 1-3 minutes. -
Not running MRP but has Purch Req with Sales Order as pegged reqmnt in AFS
Hello Gurus!
MRP run is activated in the Plant but we do not run MRP (no MRP batch job nor manual MRP). However, there are materials that have Purch Reqs with creation indicator as MRP showing pegged reqmnt from Sales Order even if Item category is the same.
My initial check shows that those materials with issue has MRP Indicator as BLANK(Multi-level, transaction dependent MRP) and those that do not generate Purch Req from SOs has N(No transaction-dependent MRP). However, transaction dependent MRP is not activated.
Can you provide areas where I should check/other probable cause of this?
Your valuable insights is deeply appreciated. Thanks!Hello?
I just want to update how this was resolved.
I found out that MRP Indicator field in AFS MRP view for the materials with MRP generated Purch Reqs is maintained as BLANK(Multi-level, transaction dependent MRP) in AFS MRP view instead of N(No transaction-dependent MRP) but there is no transaction group maintained. So MRP run is triggered whenevert there is MRP relevant transactions performed. -
AIP-50143: Transaction Instance Not found for Transaction Id
Hey Guys,
We have configured a Custom Document Exchange over Generic protocol to transfer a file.
1. Internal delivery channel is 'SFTP' - Picks file
2. External delivery channel is 'SFTP' - Puts file
3. Exchange protocol - Custom document over generic
4. Translation enabled - False (Currently its turned off, but the file is xml so we may want to turn it on)
5. Validation enabled - False
We are encountering below error in B2B while processing. Can someone please help with this.
Thanks,
Phani

OC4J not running after creating workspace and projects.
Created one workspace and added six projects. Added PostGes jar to library manager. Before doing this, the OC4J would run a test application successfully. After creating the workspace and project, I created another simple workspace with two JSP, on linked to the other. When trying to run this project get the following:

Remove the posgres jar from the library manager and still not able to run simple two page applications.
All the projects in the other workspace compile fine. The prolblem is that now I am not able to use the internal OC4J. I remove the workspace with the five projects, and the JARs and the two page app will not run.
The OC4J is running when launched from the IDE, ti just can find the pages.
New install of JDEV and the two page app will run fine. Add two user two user libraries and the app will not run.
Thank you,
Ben CarterDo you have a database connection to postgress defined in JDeveloper?
JDev might be picking this up and trying to add a datasource for it to the embedded OC4J - so try removing it, or alternatively add the postgress JDBC driver jar files to the libraries node under tools->embedded OC4J preferences. -
Session Bean Transaction Rollback not working for RuntimeException
Hi,
I am calling a number of JDBC create/update statements within a method in a container managed transaction stateless session bean with transaction attribute set to required. I am running the bean within the embedded OC4J supplied with JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2). For each JDBC call, i connect to a datasource via JNDI containg a pool of connections pointing to an Oracle 10g database (standard J2EE)
If i throw a runtime exception within the method the transaction is NOT rolled back as it should be according to the EJB spec. However, if i setRollbackOnly() on the session bean SessionContext the transaction does roll back.
Has anybody experienced this before?
Is this an OC4J bug?
Thanks
DaveGenerally, for urgent issues it's best to open a SR with Oracle Support rather than posting to the forums.
enlist=dynamic didnt exist in 10.2.0.2.20, but does now. I can't recall what specific version it was introduced though.
enlist=false prevents enlistment in MSDTC transactions, so thats why it's not rolling back in that case.
"transaction branch length 90 is illegal" was a known issue on Vista, is that the OS you're using? It takes a two part fix, and It is resolved by
1) getting up to 10204 ODP (apply the 10204 rdbms patch to your client install)
2) applying SP1 for Vista
Hope it helps,

Transaction resources not released across program invocations using MVCC
I'm evaluating Berkley DB XML v2.4.13 for use in a new software product and have encountered problems with multiversion concurrency control.
I'm using the Java API and JRE 1.6.0_07. The platform is Windows XP Professional SP3.
When I create a transaction with snapshot isolation enabled, execute some XQueries that read/update the contents of a document and then commit or abort it, the resources allocated to the transaction do not appear to get released. I've used EnvironmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive() to increase the number of active transactions allowed but this just allows me to run my program more times before it eventually hangs.
When I set EnvironmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive() to a small number the program hangs before completing the first time I run it. When I set
EnvironmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive() to a high value then I can run my program several times before it hangs. Note that the program runs to
completion and exits cleanly. I used the task manager to verify that all processes started by the program are gone when it completes. So
it appears that the resources allocated to a transaction are persisted in the database across program invocations. As a result the program
eventually hangs after running it several times. The number of times it can be run before hanging is directly proportional to how many active
transactions I've set with EnvironmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive(). It appears as if I'm not shutting down the environment cleanly but I've
read the documentation several times and am following the examples exactly. I've committed every transaction and have closed the XmlContainer,
XmlManager and the Environment.
When I use read-uncommitted, read-committed or serializable transaction isolation everything works fine. I'm only seeing this problem when
I use snapshot isolation. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known problem? If this is a known problem is there a work around?
Here's a copy of the program source code. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

}From the documentation I linked for you:
The environment should also be configured for sufficient transactions
using [DB_ENV->set_tx_max|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/env_set_tx_max.html]. The maximum number of transactions
needs to include all transactions executed concurrently by the
application plus all cursors configured for snapshot isolation.
Further, the transactions are retained until the last page they created
is evicted from cache, so in the extreme case, an additional transaction
may be needed for each page in the cache. Note that cache sizes under
500MB are increased by 25%, so the calculation of number of pages needs
to take this into account.As you can see, to calculate the maximum number of transactions you should configure for, you should use the following formula:
number_of_txns = cache_size / page_size + number_of_concurrently_active_transactionsThis will give you a worst case figure - in practice you may find that a lower number will suffice.
You'll also notice that transactions remain allocated "until the last page they created is evicted from the cache", so you should find that checkpointing will also reduce the number of transactions necessary at any one time.
Using snapshot semantics only on read-only operations will give you the full value provided by MVCC. This means that the read-only (snapshot) transactions will take copies (snapshots) of the pages that are write-locked, but the transactions that write will wait on the write-lock. Using snapshot semantics this way will reduce deadlocks as intended - using snapshot semantics for write transactions just introduces [a new way to get a deadlock|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/txn_begin.html#DB_TXN_SNAPSHOT]:
The error DB_LOCK_DEADLOCK will be returned from update operations if a snapshot transaction attempts to update data which was modified after the snapshot transaction read it.John -
How to re-post Unposted Travel Transactions in Posting-Run
Hello Experts,
In theory all Travel Expenses in all approved trips ends up in General Ledger via Posting Run management which is purely an ATR(Accounting To Report) function. But in practice we have realised few of the transactions did not get posted in FI and the unposted batches are held in the system.
Strangely, the trip status in PR05 displays the status 'Transferred to FI' but in actual fact few transactions of the trip did not end up in General Ledger.
1. From the balancing point of view, where do these unposted transactions sits purely from financial accounting and costing ?
2. We have realised the reasons for not getting posted in the first part to be for ex. GL code for the expense types are not extended to that particular company code etc. However if you fix the issue and repost in the same accounting period, it gets posted but on the other hand by the time you fix the issue by extending gl codes to that co. code, you period end happens, you cannot do anything with these unposted trans. Any suggestions to deal with them ?
Appreciate quick reply please.
Rgds
CONMJIHi CONMJI,
Firstly accept my sincere thanks for your valuable contribution to this forum.
For the problem you are facing there is a SAP note which can surely resolve your issue. SAP note is 0000170334. In a nutshell what this note suggests is as below:
Extend the GL code for the particular company code and follow the below process:
1. Delete the records with the document number from the following tables (if they exist):
PTRV_DOC_TAX
PTRV_DOC_MESS
PTRV_DOC_IT
PTRV_DOC_HD
PTRV_RPRPOSTD
PTRV_ROT_AWKEY
Document no we can get from PRRW for that entry.
2. Reset the trip status through the program RPRTRVSW. The FI transfer status is changed from u20181u2019 (FI transferred) to u2018 u2019(not posted in Financial accounting).
3. Edit table PEVSH where Run number = (Run no. from PRRW) and type = u2018TRu2019 (Posting Travel Expenses). Change the value of STATUS from u201935u2019 (Document transfer is running) to u201850u2019 (Documents posted).
4. Go to transaction PR05 and Edit the trip, submit and approve it.
5. Settle and post with as usual process. It will post with no issue.
6. Your last run which has gone with Partial posted will also shows successful once this trip is successfully posted in new run.
Hope it helps you.
Thanks,
Vaibhav
