FBS1 and RFBIBL00 Flat File Creation

Hello All,
I am creating a file for processing by RFBIBL00 I am using the data structures that are supposed to be used by the program to consume the file created. They are:
data: lv_session TYPE BGR00, - Session Var
lv_hdr TYPE BBKPF, - Header
lv_rec TYPE BBSEG, - Detail
the file gets created and consumed fine by RFBIBL00 however, when I go to sm35 to complete the Session and it goes through the FBS1 screen the formats of the data are not correct?
The dates must be created in the format per the structure which is: 06232009
when the session is going through validation is complains that the format is not correct?
It wants the date to be in this format 06.23.2009 but, I cannot put the '.' in because the length of the variable for the date is only 8 long
Anyone else had this issue?

RFBIBL00 Flat File Creation issue

Hello All,
I'm using "RFBIBL00" to post the FI documents, and the input to the FB01 transaction screen is obtained from a flat file from AL11 directory.
The issue here is regarding the date format of the Document date and Posting date. If the date format is as YYYYMMDD in the flat file, and if I'm using the date parameter (in the default option of one's SAP own data) other than starting with YYYY, the document is not getting posted and it is throwing error saying that date format is not correct. If I have chosen the date format starting with YYYY, then the document is getting posted successfully.
Any suggestions/ideas to make the date format as independent?

I think you'll have to use the appropriate conversion exit for the same. Choose from the below options which suit you.
SAP Internal format is 'YYYYMMDD' Example: '19990123'

The date coming in from the flat file will certainly tick to one particular format i guess.

Loading data to a cube from a DSO and a Flat file

Hi All,
I have an Infocube with fields
product
plant
customer
quantity
country
I am trying to load data into it , few fields from a DSO and others from a flat file
e.g plant and country from a dso
and product, customer and quantity from a flat file.
I have created 2 transformations,
one from the DSO -> cube (which works)
another transfromation does not get activated -- it gives an error msg saying (no source fields are assigned to the rule)
Is it possible to make a load of this sort? If so, then why is the transformation giving that error?

Not sure what have you done, it should be like this
datasouce---DSO1--
Cube1
Flat2--DSO(optional)-Cube2
then you should build a multiprovider on top of these cubes (cube1 and cube2 ) and then create Query.

Help required in OIM-OID LDap Synch and GTC flat file connector

Hi Experts,
I am using OIM 11.1.1.5 with OID LDap Synch enabled. I have OIM protected with OAM 11.1.1.5.0 and almost all normal things are working.
Once I am doing TRUSTED FLAT FILE GTC recon to OIM, the users are getting created in OIM without any password and due to that my users are not getting created in OID(Ldap Synch is enabled);

Has any body faced similar kind of issue.
I tried to use post process event handler on create but while updating password its saying the user state is not in synch with OID.
So I am unable to use post process event handlers as well.

In 11.1.1.3 OIM, I found the password was available for mapping in GTC connector, but in OIM 11.1.1.5, oracle has removed the password mapping attribute.
Can you please suggest?
I checked with Oracle Support, They are saying in OIM 11.1.1.5 they have introduced a new post process event handler which should generate the password on every trusted reconcilication event.
But in my environment its not behaving like that.

FTP Adapter: Inbound and Outbound flat files

Having lots of trouble trying to Send messages (via Subscribe event) with my FTP adapter, with this specific error:
Thu May 12 11:39:10 MDT 2005: Bridge { agent=oracle.oai.agent.client.AgentImpl@2f48d2 application=PAGOFTPAPP partition=null active=true #d3ls=1 } cannot handle OAI message of type newFacility.
I am successfully processing my flat file messages into OAI (via Publish event) and they are being properly written to the OAI_HUB_QUEUE. The message gets all the way to the Bridge, which posts the above error. Can anyone tell me how the Bridge attempts to determine what to do with the messages?
In creating the subscribe event I specified my desired D3L file as the application view, before doing the mapping. I then tried creating mappings at both the top (struct via ObjectCopy) and granular (fields via CopyFields) levels, and always get the same error.
Under "Modify Fields" for the subscribe event I confirmed that ota.isDL3=true and ota.d3lPath points to the D3L XML file that I used to specify the application view (and incidentally is the same one used to process the files that I am processing with the Publish event). I'm trying to get up to speed with OAI and my first test is simply to read in a tab-delimited file and turn around and write it back out to the same structure (but of course to a different target directory).
Much thanks for any assistance anyone can offer! Due to some kind of administrative hiccup we seem to have lost our iTAR capability and it's taking forever to get it back (of course at the worst possible time...)

Not sure if you have found a way around this problem yet, but it sounds like you may have a mismatch bewteen iStudio and your D3L XML that's used to define and transform the message.
In the XML, name should be set to your iStudio defined 'event name', object should be set to the 'business object' and the type should be set to related 'App Data Type'.
As an example of a subscribed event
Subscribe(GLCosts.maintain_costs)
using an ADT called CostRecord...it's a good idea to name your message the same as the type when defining the Application view using the Subscribe Wizard, i.e. don't manually change anything.
So your message header in the D3L XML would look like this:

Using a server side package to copy and delete flat files.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to copy or delete flat files using comands issued from within a PL/SQL program unit on the server. I know of the package UTL_FILE for the reading and writing of flat files.

There are two ways to delete files in application server.
1) To use Os Commands in process chain you should know some unix commands, I am not good in UNIX.

How to Merge Flat file data and DSO Data

I have one DSO A which has more than 20 objects (5 of them are keys), which include 0comp_code,0gl_account,. I have a Flat file which has the following fields ,COMPANY CODE, GLACCOUNT and SUPERVISOR ,EXECUTIVE,ANALYST. My requirement is to get a DSO with consolidated data from DSO A and Flat File data. That means for exapme, In my DSO A , I have US01 COMPANY CODE so when I merge the data in DSO C It should diplay the data for the supervisor exe and analyst for DSO A as well
When I added with 2 DSOs A (ECC ) and B (Flat file)..C is getting the data from B and its appending the data for Flat file at the end...So I want to merge both...DSO A should match up with DSO B flat file company code and gl account and should display the remaining fields
I think its clear..Can any one let me know the solution ASAP...
Note: We are on BI7.0 not 3.5...

I need to join a db table and a flat file as source and output (target) it to a db table. I know we can do it through external tables, however at this juncture we have to do it through flat files only.

You'll have load the Flat File data into a dummy table first. Then, You join this dummy table with the other db table in the same mapping.

Billing document to flat file

Hi,
I have a scenario in which i need to create a flat file and store in a local folder upon saving a billing document. This flat file will have certain selected information from the VBRK/VBRP tables.
This flat file will be read by another interface software to print a bar code so that the invoice from SAP along with bar code print has to be sent to a particular customer.
I am not able to find any user exit (only upon saving billing document) so that I can program to trigger a flat file creation in local folder.
Can any body help as to how to address this requirement?

Error Extracting Essbase Product Dimension to a Flat File

I am new to ODI and do not know how to troubleshoot this issue.
I am trying to extract an Essbase Dimension (Product) to a Flat File.
The source is Essbase Product and the Flat File is the Target. The target file is .csv.
I have the fields to execute on Staging Area.
When I click apply, I get an error stating: Target/Staging Area: You must set a IKM for the target.
In the IKM folder I have the following:
IKM SQL to File Append
IKM SQL Hyperion Essbase (DATA)
IKM SQL Hyperion Essbase (METADATA)
I appreciate any help you can offer.

I've used Table Looping and Table Extractor and nearly got the desired result except that it is represented in multiple rows instead of one: Example:
Company A;03566789;;;
Company A;;03566790;;;
Company A;;;03566795;;
Company A;;;;03566798;
Any idea how to do the mapping? I'm kind of stuck here and it sounds like an easy problem but i could not find any example to the solution that I need here. Table looping and table extractor is ok to map from single node flat file to multiple nodes but not
the reverse like in this example.
