FCC in SFTP

Hi Experts,
Can someone explain how FCC can be performed on this file
HEADER:ABC:XYZ
1234 aJHJS
1245 AJSHJD
7895 WSTA4556
4588 AHGSDJ_AHSHA
END
to get this into following structure
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ns:MT_Source xmlns:ns="Some/address">
<Record>
          <Value>HEADER:ABC:XYZ</Value>
     </Record>
     <Record>
          <Value>1234 aJHJS</Value>
     </Record>
     <Record>
          <Value>END</Value>
     </Record>
where each line of the file is taken into the field 'Value'
Thanks in advance,
Vishal

Hi,
If you can see sFTP adapter in adapter type then check its namespace. it shoudl be seeburger or aedaptive solution or anything like this.
go to their webpage and see whether they support FCC or not. Also check the possibility of using modules (so that you can use palin2xml module, if they dont support fcc) with the adapter
All third party vendors shoudl support this functionality of converting plain to xml

  • How to do FCC with SFTP adapter (BIC MD tool)

    Dear All,
    Hi guys...can anyone tell how to do FCC with SFTP adapter (Seeburger).
    Can BIC MD tool do the FCC required. can anyone provide link which tells steps to perform FCC with BIC MD.
    we know that we can use the standard module for it. but we are trying to explore this BIC MD and its limitations.
    Regards,
    Senthilprakash

    Hi,
    Im closing this thread as its open for long time now.
    well i have even found the solution for the same.
    SFTP adapter as such does not have FCC functionality.
    we have to use SAP Modules for performing FCC in SFTP adapter.
    for complex conversions (more than 3 levels) we can use BIC tool and then deploy the module in our adapter.

    Senthilprakash.

  • How do we do File content conversion using SFTP SEEBURGER Adapter

    HI All,
              Can we do FCC using SFTP SEEBURGER adapter. If yes how?
    XIer

    Dynamic attributes are part of the XI message. They provide options for dynamical configuration of SFTP receiver channels (Outbound direction) using parameters that have been dynamically added or set by modules and mappings before the SFTP adapter. These attributes can be set using the Attribute Mapper module for example. Besides, the SFTP adapter dynamically adds specific parameters to the XI message on Inbound case, which can be used by the modules and mappings after SFTP adapter.

    Hi kiran kumar,
    There is no FCC in SFTP.you need to use Message Transfoem Bean in Module to convert csv file to XML.Configure module parameter as below:

  • SFTP Variable substitution error.

    Hi,
    my scenario is file to sftp fcc.
    I have successfully configured the modules and able to put the ouput fcc file inthe target sftp directory,
    But when implementing variable substitution i am facing issues getting error as
    Error: com.aedaptive.sftp.adapter.exception.VariableSubstitutionException : Error during variable substitution: the following variable was not found in the message payload: var1
    This is the input file:

    i need to use the Model_NUmber.
    getting followng error in Comm channel monitoring --> Audit Log

    Unable to find where the error is when i configured through file adapter its working fine.
    Thanks,
    --Kishore.

    HI,
    your variable declartion is perfect, can you please check the below points,
       1.To specify variables in the target directory and file name scheme, they must be enclosed by % characters.
       2.variable name is case sensitive, can you give only lower case instead of giving upper case.
       3. Model_Number is giving same as per the message type.
    Please look below link.

  • SFTP Sender - content conversion to read Header & detail and control record

    Hi Experts,
        I'm just beginner in SAP PI. Just would like to know possibility for below requirement for my further reseach
    Soure file format fix length  with 3 different format(H,D,T)
    As example
    H001TestHeader1
    D001001TestDetail11
    D001002TestDetail21
    T2
    H002TestHeader2
    D002001TestDetail21
    T2
    The requirement detail :
    1. There are multiple set of H,D,T per files
    2.  T line is the record count of total D line per each H set.  for example as green font we have 2 D line, So T show T2
    3.  If number in T line is not match with actual D line, then only these set should be filter out and write to error file and send email alert. for example as red font we have 1 D line, but T show T2
    4.  If number in T line is match with actual D line, then these set will be write to result file.
    As I know that content  conversion may be support this requirement for separate records set for H/D/T but I don't have idea how to handle requirement no.3 and 4, Is it need ccBPM? Please help to provide some overview guideline for my further research. Thank you.

    As I know that content  conversion may be support this requirement for separate records set for H/D/T
    >>> For the  FCC, you might be using Message Transformation bean and unfortunately MTB doesn't provide the option to split the message i.e. " Records set per message".
    If you go for two step approach i.e.  then you can use this option to split the records.
    1) pass through interface -> SFTP -> NFS
    2) NFS(Standard FCC) -> Your target system
    I don't have idea how to handle requirement no.3 and 4, Is it need ccBPM? Please help to provide some overview guideline for my further research. Thank you.
    >>> If you can split the file for each recordset i.e.  one set of H/D/T then you can handle the validation part in message mapping.
    If T has valid number of records then execute the mapping set the filename  and directory to "result file" locations using dynamic configuration.
    If T has invalid number of records then execute the mapping set the filename  and directory to "error file" location.

    Hi Naveen
    There are a few typo errors in your configuration.
    First one is xml.conversionType - your value have a lower case p while it should be in upper case (SimpleXML2Plain)
    The next one is xml.endSeperator - should be xml.endSeparator.
    Try to make these typo corrections to see if it helps.
    Also, you have configured a lot of parameters that are not applicable for the SimpleXML2Plain conversion, i.e. documentName and documentNamespace, fieldNames, lastFieldsOptional, processFieldNames and structureTitle. These can be removed. You can refer to my blog below for the list of parameters that are applicable.

  • Receiver FCC Structure For Header and Trailer

    Hi Guys ,
    I need to go for receiver FCC for header and trailer  in PI .How the FCC in communication channel needs to be configured if I am taking a separate node for header and trailer in mapping .Output of the file should be as the file attached.
    Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi,
    If you are using File communication channel as a reciver you can go with FCC.
    Use record set structure as : Header,detail,trailer.
    https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d2/bab440c97f3716e10000000a155106/content.htm

  • SFTP to File Scenario using multiple files

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario wherein 2 separate CSV files ex a.csv and b.csv has to be picked up from the SFTP folder and the same has to be mapped and send to one single file ex c.csv.
    Say a.csv contains fields Name,Address and b.csv contains Phone,Mobile and I need to map them as per FSD into c.csv which will then have Name,Address,Phone,Mobile
    I am bit confused on how to do it.
    Shall I use Additional File name option in SFTP sender channel configuration? In that case how will I use the FCC as we have 2 separate csv files and both the files are CSV files and needs to be converted to XML.
    Any related threads will help.
    Regards,
    Shaibayan

    Hi Inaki,
    Thanks for your reply.
    BPM is not an option in our case as we are told not to use BPM.
    However as per the thread from Michael
    "pick both files in one run (one as file, the other one as attachment - so one communication channel )
    inside the mapping you can get the values from the attachment and do the mapping"
    This part is fine and we can do the mapping by creating N:1 mapping but since our files are .csv files so a content conversion is required for both the a.csv and b.csv. How to go through with this.
    The structure will be something like below in the message mapping after we add both the source structures in Signature Tab:
    Message
         Message1
              MT_FILE_A
                   RecordSet1
                        Name
                        Address
                        Field3
         Message2
              MT_FILE_B
                   RecordSet2
                        Phone
                        Mobile
    Can I use the below values for Content Conversion?
    Document Name:MT_FILE_A,MT_FILE_B
    Recordset Structure:RecordSet1,*,RecordSet2,* or we have to use MT_FILE_A.RecordSet1,*,MT_FILE_B.RecordSet2.*
    And in the Name Value for Name do we need to use dot for each Document Name i.e.
    MY_FILE_A.RecordSet1.fieldSeparator?

  • SFTP channel error

    Hi,
    I am using SFTP where I am converting a flat-file to XML using module. I am getting the following error in channel:
    Could not deliver message to XI: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.CPAException: Couldn't retrieve inbound binding for the given P/S/A values: FP=;TP=;FS=Srv_AB;TS=;AN=AB_Pick_Send_out_asy;ANS=urn:whs:abc:mm:global:whsmgmt:pick:100;
    where Srv_AB is the sender service, urn:whs:abc:mm:global:whsmgmt:pick:100 is MT namespace.
    Thanks,
    Vishal

    I tested using 'Test Configuration'.. It is failing at Interface Det and Mapping:
    Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_AB_Pick_Intermediate_to_DELVRY03_: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; Parsing an empty source. Root element expected! </Trace>
    Basically, I've an Interface mapping which uses Java mapping to create an Intermediate structure. This intermediate structure is then used as source message in graphical mapping.
    First I do an FCC on the flat file(Contains special characters). This is the input to Java mapping. Can there be any problem because of special characters.
    Thanks,
    Vishal

    Recordset per message == *

    (Sorry i dont know how to insert screen shot here..pls tell me how can i insert screen shots here on sdn)
    HEADER.fieldSeparator           ,
    HEADER.endSeparator           u2018nlu2019
    HEADER.fieldNames               Key,x,y,zu2026
    HEADER.keyFieldValue          1
    HEADER.keyFieldInStructure      ignore
    HEADER.fieldContentFormatting     trim
    HEADER.additionalLastFields     ignore
    HEADER.missingLastFields     ignore
    DATA.fieldSeparator
    DATA.endSeparator
    DATA.fieldNames
    DATA.keyFieldValue
    DATA.keyFieldInStructure

    When i tested the scenario and monitored it using MDT in CC monitoring tool its giving me below mentioned error.
    The XML page cannot be displayed
    Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
    XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource 'http://myurlname/mdt/me...
    However if i change the occurence of DATA as some specific value for eg 4 instead of * it works fine.
    Kindly help me in solving this problem.
    Thanks,

  • PI 7.11 - FCC Receiver Adapter

    Hi
    I've got a simple xml which i have to convert in a fixed length text file. Is it possible to convert it using FCC with following structure:
              <root>
                   <data>
                        <record>
                             <name>john</name>
                             <surname>doe</surname>
                             <zip>12345</zip>
                             <city>abcd</city>
                        </record>
                        <record>
                             <name>bart</name>
                             <surname>simpson</surname>
                             <zip>131313</zip>
                             <city>springfield</city>
                        </record>
                   </data>
              </root>
    I did this conversion already with PI 7.0, but i removed the <data> element to get a simpler substructure. Is it also possible without removing this?
    I found following entry [Re: File Adapter Reciver Side: FCC Convetion Problum in PI 7.1], but it didn't works for me. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hi,
      Are you looking for a content conversion at teh Receiver adapter or the sender adapter?
    If you have defined teh structure in ur Data type as u have mentioned then don't remove anything because ur source file would be containing the following structure itself.
    If you are getting the XML structure at source
    <root>
       <data>
          <record>
                   <item1>
                   <item2>
          </record>
       </data>
    </root>
    the follow the same structure at the receiver side as well. If u want to delete the data node at teh receiver side then delete at teh source side FCC as well.
    Just try and let me know. I will help you out.
    Thanks
    Veeru

  • Using secure FTP (SFTP) with XI 3.0.

    Hi,
    I must bring a document with SFTP protocol.
    Is it possible use SFTP with XI 3.0. What must I do use SFTP with XI. Is it necessary to install some component to XI or it needs some 3hrd party components?
    Thanks

    Hi Cemil,
    Right now, XI does not have the feature of communicating with SFTP. You can extend the functionality of the File Adapter by writing some adapter modules to enable it to communicate with SFTP.
    Regards,
    Hari.
