Featured Product Styling

I am looking to use custom CSS to style my featured products tags so that they don't display in a list vertically, but instead horizontally in columns and maybe add some colors and nicer fonts, ect.
But I have never applied CSS to Taged product lists so can someone please help and point me in the right direction?

Hello Kristin,
Generally what I do is figure out my total width that the features will have to fit into and divide by how many columns I want. Leave a little extra for margins of course. Then design your feature template for one product and have the templpate float left in your CSS. You should end up with them going horizontally until it runs out of room and then it will start a new line.

    I have a list of Featured Products by the Tag/Module: {module_productfeaturelist,Featured Product}.
    Everything works great, except I am getting big bullet before each product listed. Obviously I need to add styling "list-style:none" but I can't figure out where I would add that to make it work. I have added the styling to the <td></td> as well as putting the module into a <span></span> and having a class for the span with the styling. Nothing is working.
    How would I style a "{module_productfeaturelist,Featured Product}"

    So that anyone else has this problem. I figured out how to style the module. {module_productfeaturelist}  "productfeaturelist is a class. Just add the class to your css and add list-style:none to it. Works great.

  • How can i create my BC featured product list in to a slide show for multiple products in one row. i have products aligned in a row i just would like to make it a slide show of the multiple (20) products.

    Aside from any custom implementations that may be suggested by any other members, you could also consider using some hero-type slider like those found on our new responsive templates, and have each web-app item contain a product.

    Thank you for the link, but you are referring to the Latest Fittings on the site right?
    If so, I'm pretty sure you can use the standard webapp module and choose to only display 4 products per page, with 2 rows.
    By this, BC will automatically create a pagination if you have 5 or more products on that webapp and will ruin your layout. To fix this, you just need to get the css ID of the generated pagination and create a css code to hide this on your site global.css file e.g.

    What would be the best way to have a single image "frame"
    where the image of a featured product changes approx every 5 secs,

  • Module: Product feature list to show 5 products?

    Hi,
    I am using the perfume template and would like to show 5 featured products at a time as currently just shows 4 as per the template. I have increased the width of the module to easily fit 5 to suit my design. The 5th featured product up to 12 appears fine when clicking the next button. Is their anywhere else I should be editing besides the HTML & CSS below?
    Any advice much appreciated.

    The module:
    {module_productfeaturelist,tag,rowLength,sortType,targetFrame,useBackupTemplate}
    Parameters
    tag being the product tag
    rowLength e.g. 3
    sortType can be alphabetical, price, date, expirydate or weight
    targetFrame e.g. _blank
    useBackupTemplate can be true or false
    Just update the module as you need to with the paramaters

  • How do you show multiple products horizontally rather than vertically with the module_productfeaturelist?

    I am trying to have 3 to 4 featured products that share the same tag next to each other rather than stacked.  Is there a way to do this by customizing the "List of Products by Tag" or is there another module I should be using?
    What i am currently getting is this and I would like the side by side instead:
    {module_productfeaturelist,featured,3,Weight,,true}

    Your monitor would need an HDMI connection to hook it to AppleTV.  AppleTV would need to be on the same network as the IMac, presumably wireless if you don't want to run cables.
    You would then need to use Airplay Mirroring, and that requires reasonably modern Macs, see:

    I don't know for certain but if you set up an automatic powerpoint slideshow you could probably export to an AppleTV compatible movie files, and then play that to AppleTV via iTunes as well, which ought to work with older Macs but video might need to be set to loop or repeat itself a lot.
    If you want to use Airplay Mirroring buthave an old Mac, then AirParrot software has a demo, and some people find this ok.

  • E-Commerce Product Proposal issue

    This is a B2C e-Commerce scenario with Students enrolling for courses on a website. The goal is to leverage pre-existing SAP CRM e-Commerce functionality currently in use. But thre's a potential issue that could prevent the adoption of current SAP e-Commerce solution.
    -->Business Issue [PRODUCT PROPOSAL]
    -Catalog Access & Views: Prior to a Student enrolling in Course, there is an Eligibility check that occurs which dictates the number and type of course offered to the Consumer/Student. --> Not all courses within the catalogue must be displayed: Some logic must be carried out in CRM, so that the allowed courses for the student should be passed to the webshop.
    Is there any BAdI / user exit we can implement for solving this issue? eCommerce should pass CRM the logged on BP ID (or the user ID) so that, from this ID on, the logic can be executed in CRM. As inbound parameter, the BAdI / user exit should receive the allowed courses for this students, and display only these courses (instead of the whole catalogue).
    Is there any other way to solve this? (configuration) We have already considered views, but we are afraid we have too many possible scenarios (hundreds?)
    Some backup information:
    -Number of courses: About 300
    -Number of allowed courses per student (logic result): Between 2 and 8
    -The whole courses catalogue is being renovated each year

    -The SAP e-Commerce application offers 2 basic business scenarios/flavors, BC2 and B2B. The  B2B option delivers the Catalog determination option and customized Catalog views per Business Partner. The B2C option makes the entire Catalog available to the Consumer on the Web-shop.

    -Showing the Courses availability as zero in the case where there are not enough available seats needs to be reviewed properly and scoped.

    Have you checked the Marketing features, Product recommendation, Personalized Recommendation etc.? See if you can use Product Association and ranking to recommend products if you don't want to show the entire catalog..

    Guess Creative finally ditched the touchpad! Oh well- joysticks are much simpler but I think the touchpad was one of Creative's well-known trademarks. Some people loved it, others hated it. There you go. I guess having given the Vision M ff/rw buttons so close to the touchpad made them think that having just one button to do it all might not be such a bad idea after all. Also PLEASE Creative, have you not learned? People don't want the Zen V, which is just a Zen V Plus with no radio. Yes it will be slightly cheaper but it screams less features and therefore inferiority. Again: too many products where one will do. Beat apple by including the radio, call the Zen V Plus the Zen V, and sell it at the same price as the ipod nano. This is just going to confuse people- again.
    Mind you, musn't grumble. Like the line-in feature (oops- why wasn't that on the ZVM?) and Audible support from the off. Hope the new Zens do well, but I bet they would do better if they were ONE fully-featured product!

  • What feature of Should I use for my Website

    I want to creat a web application that support visitors to create imgaes of their favourite cricket team. What feature / product of adobe can help me in doing this for my Cricket website.

    If it's a window server, then probably aspx.  I am unfamiliar with aspx so can't really offer any more advice about it's use  :-)
    However, there are probably many more freely available open source scripts and such for use on a website, for polls, login etc., if you decide to use PHP.  I guess it all depends on the type of website you are going to create and whether you are going to create it yourself on depend on 3rd party applications to help you build the site.

  • Detail Region as TOC for captivate (.swf) files

    Hi All,
    Not sure how to explain this, but i will do my best. I didnt like the TOC/Aggregator for CP 5. Thinking maybe to use Spry data using the Detail Region sample. I thought it would be simple to just combine the Detail Region code with the publsihed .swf and .htm code. But not sure what im doing wrong or if this is even possible to do. I was experimenting just using the exact same code and xml for Detail Region sample and modifying it a bit. See below...

  • Continuous Disconnections "Appear" To Have Stopped...

    BACKGROUND (cutting a VERY long story "long")  [skip to the next section if you're bored to tears]:
    - With BT Broadband since early February. Had continuous disconnections since joining, which added to the dreaded DLM from BT resulted in ever-slow speeds (at some popint we wre under 0.1 Mbps)
    - Previously with Virgin Media BroadBand + BT line rental. We never had any issues of disconnections or slow speeds. Couldn't fault VM (except that they got riff of their BB customers to focus on Fibre services not available in our area).
    - The first-tier of Customer Services are all very polite people but, frankly, have been of no help at all. Countless line checks were made, mostly "concluding that the line was OK and the connection stable". Well, one only had to check the Event Logs, which would soon be out of memory within a day, showing disconnection after disconnection.
    - The second-tier could not help also and finally decided an engineer had to call at the property.
    - The engineeer failed to show up.
    - The engineer visit was rescheduled, the engineer did show up. He confirmed our internal installation is OK, put the onus on some
    work needed "down a manhole in a road nearby" and that a different team had to take over.
    - As far as I am aware, this work had been seen to (although I initially had my doubts: BT phone services told me "everything (was) sorted now" whilst I was tearing out my hair with the same problems and speeds under 0.1 Mbps
    - I *think* that my profile was reset once or twice by now, our speeds would get about 6 Mbps, rapidly dropping after
    disconnections.
    - I have noticed BB disconnections when using the internet on my Pc but ALSO when the PC was off and there was no wired or wireless use whatsoever.  
    - BT KEEPS CLOSING UP THE FAULTS I OPEN & RE-OPEN (HOW VERY CONVENIENT!) OUR FAULT HAS BEEN PRESENT FOR NEAR 3 MONTHS NOW, IS THAT TOO EMBARRASSING TO DISPLAY IN bt.com/fault?
    - Online complaint filed... Ignored by BT.
    - 3-page letter of complaint sent to BT... Got an awfully generic reply: "Hopefully you know by now what BT is doing to sort this problem" I DO ACTUALLY KNOW... THEY ARE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!  BT gave an email address to reply: I replied 7 days ago asking what's going on, now have re-sent the e-mail (2 days ago): Nothing. MAYBE THE SUPPLIED OMBUDSMAN CONTACT WILL NEED TO BE USED NEXT?
    - I keep being promised refunds of line rental, etc. These are yet to materialize as "I will get this when the fault is solved". This of course works on the assumption that my fault will EVER be solved. ALL I REALLY WANT IS: SORT THIS NEVERENDING FAULT.
    - Oh, and BT Direct Debit was increased to more than advised (yes, our experience was dreadful so far in ALL aspects) - We are dealing with this separately, DD has now been now reduced... I'm looking forward to the next quarterly bill to confirm I'm not being overcharged (I've honestly lost all trust in all things BT).
    - I am an engineer myself and the kindest assessment of the situation would be that BT Customer Services are applying ZERO LOGIC in trying to sort this problem.
    CURRENT SITUATION:
    - BT Customer Services appear to be avoiding us. They did not call us back to follow up the case and frankly, I am very busy these days and have little time to engage in another gruelling wait + futile conversation (typically near an hour in total) to get absolutely nowhere.
    - Stable connection for almost 7 days now.
    - Speed capped at 2 Mbps, actual speed is 1.4 to 1.5 Mbps (and has been so for at least 4-5 days).
    Onto the technical stuff........
    OUR CONNECTION:
    - Wired (ethernet) to desktop PC.
    - Hub4 Connected to test socket of NTE5, using supplied filter.
    - Only one phone connected, via the same filter at the main (test) socket.
    - At different times during troubleshooting (weeks ago), I took to, one by one, changing the filter, the ethernet cable and the phone cable supplied by BT. I also changed to different ethernet ports of the Hub, no joy... None of this made any difference so all original cables and filter are again in place.
    - The engineer neglected to check the HUb, convinced it was a line problem. Over a month ago, I temporarily replaced the Hub with an old Netgear supplied by Virgin. At that time this made no difference but then the disconnection rate was appalling and wonder if there was an actual fault in the line now and now this stabilized? Regardless, I've been thinking whether my old Netgear would perform better but I have been patient and trying to build up more days of stable connection... BUT 6 days+ of solid connection and I'm still at 1.4 Mbps????
    - There are NO other phones or telephone extensions at the property.
    - We occasionally use our mobile phones via wireless. Wireless connection is fine (when main connection is present, of course)

    - I thought it took 3 to 5 days of solid connection for broadband speed to be bumped up? How long should I now wait???

    I set the alarm 5 minutes early in order to restart the Hub this morning. Do I believe in coincidences? Sometimes... After 7 days of solid connection, several restarts occurred while my PC was off (Hub's always on) in the early hours of this morning.

  • Web Part is not visible in Web Part gallary

    Hi,
    I have developed a project in sharepoint having two web parts inside it.
    Initially, when there was only one web part in my project it was working fine. But suddenly when i added a new web part, it is not showing me web parts in a gallary. Event it is not available in web part list under Web Designer Gallaries.
    I tried with old .wsp to deployed, but still the same problem.
    On my development machine it is working with two web parts very good. but when i try to deploy that wsp on production site, it is not showing me anything in web part gallary while it was when i was working with one web part only in my project.
    Please, direct me where i am doing wrong, any possibilities?
    I did workarounds as
    1.  Check for the custom webpart feature folder under 14\TEMPLATE\FEATURES ----- Yes it exists there
    2. If the feature Scope is Site
    3. The webpart dll is deployed to GAC with Stsadm command
    4. No web part(My Custom) found here Site Action > Site Settings > Galleries > Web Parts

    in my development environment i checked in site collection feature, it isn't available in site collection feature but still i am getting those web parts in web part gallery while adding it on page.
    Also, in Production environment, feature is available in /templates/features folder after deployment, but not available in web part gallery while adding it on page.
    I tried with uploading .webpart file which is available in /templates/features production environment as i mentioned, is running for one web part. Not for second web part and giving me security error.
    As, uploading .webpart file is not feasible solution, please tell me how could i do that with .wsp file?
    please tell me what could be another workaround.
