Feedback form - specify who the sender is.

Hello,
I have a dreamweaver form that allows the user to fill in
contact information and comments. When the form sends, it uses the
"name" field as the sender info when I check it in my email
account. It works properly on my email account through my domain
name as well as a hotmail account. However, my client (who the form
needs to be sent to) has an AOL account (don't ask me why!). When
the form is sent to AOL it comes through as "unknown sender." I
would like to specify who the sender is... even if it always says
"Form @ domain.com" Is there a hidden field that I can enter in the
HTML that specifies who the sender is? I can't seem to find
anything that works.

Are you saying that you are missing the FROM column in the Inbox view? If so there is a small icon at the far right end of the header that you click to select what columns to display.
If you have dragged the FROM column to the left and hid it and now only see 3 dots where that column should be, hover your mouse up where the divider for the FROM and SUBJECT columns are and when you see a double headed arrow appears click and drag to the right to reveal the column.

I just tried to install VS2013 update 1 ("Run As Administrator") from the ISO image and the installation finishes with a lot of messages like these:

Most of the same error as far as I see are due to corrupt installer. Please try use fciv.ext tool from this site:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290/en-us
Then use sha-1 number to compare it with the one listed here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41650
SHA-1: 51403CAF8E5E9799ACF1F3A0DA0E46390CD2FB16
If it is not the same, you have to redownload your ISO, it is corrupt.

HTML Snippet for FEEDBACK FORM does not work the way I expected

Hello folks,
I have used following code as a Snippet to create a FEEDBACK FORM, so people can send their comments. I was hoping that when people write their comments and click Send, the comment will be sent directly to my e-mail. Instead, after clicking Send button, the Mail Manager pops up. So it is pretty much the same as if they click on the e-mail address link. Is this normal? I thought, that these comments will be sent directly via that FEEDBACK FORM, not via Mail Manager.

The action is usually a php file.
Otherwise, simply create a button and make it a mail link in the Inspector.
If you cannot figure this out, you'd better refrain from using it.
Or start learning how to use forms.

Finding out the sender who sent a skype text alert

How do i find out who was the sender who sent me a message by skype text alert?

I have the same question. The SMS sender is only identified by a code. i do not know who the sender is and cannot respond to the email. Is it possible to identify the sender?

Add a topic name to a feedback form

Hello.
I am using RH 10.
In our help system, I would like to add a feedback link to each topic. When the user clicks the link a feedback from opens. This feedback form should have the name of the topic or the file name (either one) that the user clicked the feedback link on.
The name can display in a field or be hidden, we just need the information included when the user mails the feedback form.
I know how to create the form and add the feedback link to the master page.

I have seen the grainge article about creating a simple email feedback form ( http://www.grainge.org/pages/snippets/mailto.htm) and it is helpful, but not exactly what I need.

Feedback form Problem

Hello Adobe Communities, this is my first time here and I probably will be back here again.
How do I make my Feedback Form (coding shown below) send an email when the user clicks 'Submit' to '[email protected]'
Thanks for your help. On a side note if the user clicks 'submit' too many times can you make it so it won't send that email address notifications anymore.

Ok I'm using your code at the moment and I'm having some difficulty - which is probably my own fault as I did not supply you with the whole code initially. Here is the 'complete' code with your coding in bold font, I placed your code slab-bang where my previous feedback form was. I haven't tested this out due to not setting up my webserver at the moment. But anyway here is my problem, for some reason everything doesn't look right. Thanks.

Designer8..The Send Email button function gives an Error

I created a name and address form and a dropdown combo in AA9 then saved and closed it.
I then opened it in designer 8 and placed a "send by Email" button and closed it.
I then opened the pdf file in Reader 9 (as a user would) Then filled out the form and clicked the "send by Email" button (sent to myself) it arrived as an .xml attachment and would not open....Just gave this error message
Adobe Reader could not open 'poolcuetip_data(1).xml' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example. it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Is there a Fix for this error (tried it several times)
OR
Can I put a send email button on the Acrobat form without having to open in Designer ? If so How ??????

There are many restrictions on submit by email and they vary by the code used to perform the submit. If you use the builtin "mailXXXX" method the user must have Windows and and a MAPI enabled email client. And if you use the URI "mailto" format the user with Reader must be viewing the PDF from within a web browser. And then you have the timing problems with slow computers or larger PDF forms. And this does not even start to cover email filters, identity issues and son on.
If you can use the sumbit to server script.

You can create a button with Javascript to do what you want BUT it will
not be reliable since:
1) Some people use a web browser to receive and send email. Your button
will not work.
2) Some people will use a non-supported email client. For example, on
the Mac, my email program Mailsmith won't work. Neither will
Thunderbird. On the Windows side, my email client is Agent. It won't
work either.
It is nice that Adobe offers the possibility of using some email
clients, BUT since it doesn't always work, it is an invitation to
frustration.
It is better to post the form on the web and use a script to get the
information on the form. If you want, the script can email you the results!

HT201272 I purchased Season 3 of the Walking Dead. I cannot download the second episode of the season; corrupted file. I submitted a feedback form, but they do not send a reply. I tried to use the online help/support, got an error code for that page.

I just want my content. I am frustrated at trying to get on-line help. Either I will not get a reply to my feedback form, or the online support page has an error code, with "please try again later" or "start over". I have paid for this content, and cannot download their corrupted file.

Are you in a country where TV shows can be re-downloaded - if you are then have you tried deleting that copy from your iTunes library and re-downloading it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ?
When you say that you used the feedback page, do you mean the feedback page (which you won't get a reply to) or the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history on your account or the contact iTunes Support page ?
'report a problem' : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).

Can't use the "send by e-mail" button on forms created in Acrobat Pro 9 with Firefox

I created a form in Acrobat Pro 9.5.2 with a "send by e-mail" button as usual (not using LiveCycle Designer). Since a few months, users cannot send forms using that button USING FIREFOX works fine in Explorer. I've been creating and using those forms since 2 years whitout any problems but now this is A BIG PROBLEM for our office as all our reservation forms uses this technology.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. create a form using Acrobat Pro. add an action button " send a form". send the Entire PDF form not just FDF. go in advance tool to give all rights to end-users (in French it's "étendre les fonctions d'adobe reader" I think it’s enable the usage rights for Reader ion English.)
2.publishing the form on my website (or send by e-mail to someone who use reader)
3. filling the form
Results:
when the user fill the form he can't send it by e-mail using the button. Nothing happens when hitting that button. It is not possible to save the document as well. Nothing can be done, not even printing or saving it. I've tried almost all browsers I know and nothing works.
Expected results:
the form should be send by e-mail (as an attachment in general) like before. please help me! this is really important, our office have a lot of calls and we are just 2 people here (non-profit organization). should we buy Acrobat Pro X ?

When your customers opened the PDF form (which was as an email attachment) on iPads, it is highly likely that Apple Mail (not Adobe Reader for iOS) was displaying the preview of the PDF form. Please note that Apple products on iPad/iPhone (e.g. Apple Mail, iBooks, Safari) do not render field contents or annotations (sticky notes, highlight, underline, strikeout, freehand drawing, etc.) in PDF documents.

Error submitting form for Distribution: "The filename you specified is not valid because it does not

Error submitting form for Distribution:
"The filename you specified is not valid because it does not include a .pdf extension, contains one or more invalid characters or teh path preceding it refers to a protected system location."
Tried removing dashes from filename, shortenign filename, moving to root directory. No changes. File ends with a .pdf extension.
This is my first attempt to distribute via acrobat.com

I found that I got that same message using Acrobat Professional to send out a document for shared review. I had an exclamation mark in the title of the PDF. When I took out the exclamation mark, it worked.
So maybe try taking out anything "unusual" (parentheses, dashes, exclamation marks, etc.) in the file name and see if that helps.

In the past I have used URLVariables with URLRequest and URLLoader to achieve this kind of requirement.
Check out http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=17_Networking_and_communications_3 .html which should be useful. My preference has always been to use this style instead of HTTPService objects, giving you a little more control which is what you need here.

how can you tell who the original sender of a group text is on an iPhone 5, when all that appears is a list of recipients in no particular order? I can't seem to identify the sender in the details list.

The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.
