Fetch a resource attribute using Last name

Hi All,
I need to fetch a resource attribute 'employeeID' from AD, all I know is only Last Name (I don't know the accountId). How can I acheive this?
Is it possible through EXPRESS or do I need to write a java program.
Please share your ideas.

It is possible (with XPRESS) but the search criteria of Last Name will result in lots of erroneous matches. If at all possible, find additional or alternative search criteria to narrow down the field.
Here's some example code for retrieving results from an Active Directory resource. It was written to be used in the Form context (changes would be required if you were executing from a Workflow context).

lastnameValue is the lastname you're searching on (e.g. "Smith")
results will be a List of the cn attributes that came back from the search (specified in the List under searchAttrsToGet). You need to put logic around the results to handle the List appropriately.
Use standard LDAP-style search filters in the searchFilter section if you need to add additional qualifiers.

Hi Chen,
Based on my knowledge, there is no related method to enforce all users using More Columns as the default search option in Outlook Address Book. We can just change the search option for individual Outlook user by remembering the last search using as I mentioned
above.

Fetch a multivalued attribute using Data Bean

Hello,
I am trying to fetch employee user related information using Data Bean.
Here employee has position as a multivalued attribute.
Currently when I fetch record for an employee I get information only for one position.
I want to fetch the whole list of position's assigned to this employee.
Can any one please help me on how to achieve this?

Need to search contacts by last name

I need to know how I can only search the contacts by last name. As it is right now, it search last name and first name. I only need the last name.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure I understand you? Do you mean when using the search function (Option key and magnifier) or when using the lookup function in the Phone, SMS and MMS applications?
In the case of the Lookup function, I described how to use last name only in that context.
In the case of Find, you cannot limit the field to which the search applies. You can only control the order of application databases to seach. It will search the database of the currently open application first. If you need a more advanced Find, I recommend www.intelligentfind.com.

TS4002 When I got my phone the man at the att store set up my account but he put my email address wrong he spelled my last name on my id password wrong on it so I cannot use my iCloud account

When I got my upgrade I got a iPhone 4 and the man at the att store helped me set up my phone and when he done my iCloud account he put my email ID. wrong because he spelled my last name wrong I did not notice this until I got home I went back to the att store and they tried to fix it but couldn't 1 they even cleared everything off my phone and set hpnthe apple account with the correct one but it wouldnt fix my icloud either please help I don't know what to do.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

I use iCloud to store my contacts but in Outlook it only sorts by first name. Although in iCloud it can be set to sort by last name, I cannot get it to do that in Outlook.

What's the use for "name" attribute?

Almost every object has a "name" attribute and "display name" attribute, e.g. page, tab, template.
What is the exact use of the name attribute. For my understanding, one of its use to is contruct a URL for the object. For example, when I want to add one item to a page, the shows me the path to the page is:
PAGE / HELLO_PAGE_GROUP / HELLO_PAGE / TAB37465 / TAB37469 /
TAB37465 is the name of the tab attribute. I realized this and went to change the name of the tab to a more meaningful value. However, when I try to add the item, the page Path did not change. Is this a oracle internal bug?
I have similar problem with navigation page. I published a navigation page as portlet. I changed the name of the navigation page and use the name as the portlet name, the new name of the portlet can not be reflected in the portlet repository.

1. I tried to add an item to the page within the tab. On the "add item" page, it shows me the path to the current page. Ok, Let's forget about "item", and just talk about the path to a tabbed page. The path/URL never changes, even after I change the tab "name" attribute.
2. I am talking about the name of the portlet within portlet repository. Let's see within page group A, I created navigation page with name of "test". I published the page as a portlet. In the portlet repository, I can see a new portlet "test" under "new/A". I changed navigation page name from "test" to be "B", however, the portlet name never changed in the portlet repository. Yea its a good thing to update because 95% of the Time a Rep. may ask for the Primary owner of the lines and if your not that person you can't hardly do squat with it. Case in point with my With our Lines my Mom was the Primary owner and i couldn't do Anything with out them wanting to talk to her first. Getting a Phone, Making Changes, Check statuses, Heck there was one time i remember i couldn't even pay the bill not exaggerating there it was basically out of my Hands my Mom got tired of this and she changed it.. Why can't I set up an apple ID alternate email using my first name and last name?

I am trying to set up an alternate address to my appleID using my first name and last name. It keeps saying it is "rejected" but it gives me no reason. I thought maybe someone was squatting on it, but when I try to send a note to it, it says that it isn't a valid address. Does Apple prevent you from using an iCloud device with your name? Seems odd since it allows other combinations of my name.

How can I display the first and last name using a paramater as employee ID?

I have a parameter that is called {? Employee ID}. What I want to do is display the first and last name based on the employee ID value entered in {? Employee ID} in the page header of the report. Right now, when I put the following formula in the page header only some pages get the right result while other pages dont....
if table.employeeid = {? Employee ID} then
table.firstname" "table.lastname
It appears as though if the first record in the details section on the beginning of each page happens to be the employee under {? Employee ID} then it prints it correctly, if it isn't I get a null value in the page header.
Anyone have any ideas?

How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name (using v 31.3.0).

After a computer crash, I had to load Thunderbird (v31.3.0) back into my machine running Windows 8.1, and I successfully imported my address book back up file into Thunderbird (v31.3.0).
My problem is that I don't see an option to sort the address book by "Last" name, which was available with the version of Thunderbird I had before the crash.
How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name?

In 'Address Book'
Select address book
'View' > 'Show name as' > 'Last/First'
The you can sort by Name.
Either click on 'Name' column header to change sort order,
If reversed, then click on 'Name' column header again to reverse the order.
Or
'View' > 'Sort By' > choose 'Name' and 'Ascending'

HR DB table to find out PERNER using first or last name of the person

HT201401 HI ive forgotten my apple id and password, and also the name and last name i used to set up my iphone 4s what do i do?

my iphone 4s wont turn back on after the battery died, have tried all the steps, still not working. contacted my network provider they said to send it in but before that turn off find my iphone. First; how do you forget the apple id and password, that apple id is most likely an > EMAIL < address that you /PERSONALLY/ put into the device to sign up for the service. Once you remember your own email; you need to go to https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid for further assistance on resetting your password
You don't need the first and last name; it just makes it a lot harder to locate your account if you REALLY can't remember
If you cannot find any infomation then you sir are SOL;

User View not showing the assigned resources attributes in idm 7.0

i got the solution there was one attribute on workflow
<Argument name='NoFetch' value='true'/>
remove this to false it will fetch all the resource attributes
