Field Explanations

I'm looking for briefexplanatiopns about the fields in "Maintain Condition Types (SPRO > Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Pricing > Pricing Control > Define Condition Types > Maintain Condition Types > Condition Type)" . There are areas of Control data 1, Group condition, Changes which can be made, Master data, Scales, Control data 2 and Text determination. I'll be happy if somebody sends me brief explanations about the fields in these areas or send me a web site adress consisting of brief explanations on those areas.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You should know about the various fields which are there in a particular condition type. In V/06 when you define a new condition type:
<b>1. Access sequence</b> - Used for condition types which are kept mandatory in the pricing procedure. The access sequence searches for the condition record as per the key combination maintained in the condition table assigned to the access sequence.
<b>2. Condition class</b> - Preliminary structuring of condition types e.g. in surchages and discounts or prices.
A grouping that lets you control each condition type differently.
<b>For example</b>, the condition type "taxes" defines that the taxes in a document must be recalculated if the country of the ship-to party changes.
<b>3. Calculation type</b> - Determines how the system calculates prices, discounts, or surcharges in a condition. For example, the system can calculate a price as a fixed amount or as a percentage based on quantity, volume, or weight.
The calculation type can be set when generating new condition records. If this does not happen, the calculation type maintained here is valid for the condition record.
<b>4. Condition category</b> - A classification of conditions according to pre-defined categories (for example, all conditions that relate to freight costs).
<b>
5. Rounding rule</b> - The rule that determines how the system rounds off condition values during pricing. The last digit will be rounded.
<b>6. Structured condition</b> - controls whether the condition type should be a duplicated condition or a cumulated condition.
This control is only helpful when you use bill of materials or configurable materials.
Aduplicated condition is duplicated into all assigned items.
A cumulated condition contains the net value of all assigned items.
<b>7. Group condition</b> - Indicates whether the system calculates the basis for the scale value from more than one item in the document.
<b>Use</b>
For a group condition to be effective, the items must belong to a group. You can freely define the group to meet the needs of your own organization. The items can, for example, all belong to the same material group.
<b>8. Routine number for creating group key</b> - Identifies a routine that calculates the basis for the scale value when a group condition occurs in pricing.
<b>Example</b>
You can specify a routine, for example, that totals the value of all items in a document in order to determine the basis for a discount.
<b>9. Rounding difference comparison</b> - Indicator that controls whether rounding difference is settled for group conditions with a group key routine.
If the indicator is set, the system compares the condition value at header level with the total of the condition values at item level. The difference is then added to the largest item.
<b>10. manual entries</b> - Indicator which controls the priority within a condition type between a condition entered manually and a condition automatically determined by the system. Here you can specify whether the condition type can be processed only manually or not
<b>11. Header Condition</b> - If this condition is marked as a header condition, it is possible to enter the condition type in the header condition screen. Checks for changing the condition manually are unaffected by this.
<b>12. Item condition</b> - Mark this field if the conditions of this type are allowed to be entered in the document items. The condition is then only valid for the particular item in which it is entered.
<b>13. Delete</b> - Indicator that controls whether the condition type may be deleted from the document.
<b>14. Amount/percent</b>  - Specifies whether the amout or percentage for the condition type can be changed during document processing.
<b>15. Value</b> - Specifies whether the value of the condition type can be changed during document processing.
<b>16. Quantity relation</b> - Specifies whether the conversion factors for the units of measure in conditions of this type can be changed during document processing.
<b>17. Calculation type</b> - Specifies whether the calculation type for the condition type can be changed during document processing.
<b>18. Valid from</b> - Proposed value from when the record of the condition type is valid.
<b>19. Valid to</b> - Proposed value for how long a condition should remain valid.
<b>20. Reference condition type</b> - A condition type which can be used as a reference so that you only have to create condition records once for condition types that are very similar.
<b>21. Reference application</b> - Application, that can be used to refer to condition records from other applications.
<b>Use</b>
You only have to create condition records once for condition types that are very similar. You can also refer to condition records from other applications.
You will find further information on the ReferencCondType field in the documentation.
<b>22. Pricing procedure</b> - Determines which condition types can be used in a document and in which sequence they appear.
<b>Use</b>
The system uses the pricing procedure that you enter here to control the use of condition supplements in records of this condition type. You can apply the discounts that are defined in the pricing procedure as condition supplements during pricing.
<b>23. Delete from database</b> - You can use this indicator to control how the system operates when deleting condition records.
<b>24. Condition index</b> - Specifies whether the system updates one or more condition indices when maintaining condition records.
<b>Use</b>
This makes it possible to list or maintain condition records indepently of condition type and condition table, for example.
<b>25. Condition update</b> - Controls whether limit values are relevant for pricing.
<b>E.g.:</b> you can make the use of a particular condition record in the document dependent on a specified total value.
This total value can be specified in the condition record.
<b>26. Scale basis</b> - Determines how the system interprets a pricing scale in a condition. For example, the scale can be based on quantity, weight, or volume.
<b>
27. Scale formula</b> - Formula for determining the scale base value.
<b>28. Check value</b> - Indicates whether the scale rates must be entered in ascending or descending order.
<b>29. Unit of measurement</b> - Unit of measure that the system uses to determine scales when you use group conditions
<b>30. Scale type</b> - Indicator that controls the validity of the scale value or percentage:
From a certain quantity or value (base scale)
Up to a certain quantity or value (to-scale)
Alternatively, it is possible to work with interval scales. Interval scales must be stored in the condition type, that is, the scale type "interval scale" cannot be changed in the condition record. The reason for this is technical restrictions resulting from the programming within pricing.
<b>31. Currency conversion</b> - Controls the currency conversion where the currency in the condition record varies with the document currency.
<b>32. Accruals</b> - Indicates that the system posts the amounts resulting from this condition to financial accounting as accruals.
<b>
33. Invoice list conditions</b> - Marks the condition type as relevant for internal costing.
<b>34. Inter company billing condition</b> - Conditions for Internal Costing, for example PI01 and PI01 were defined before Release 4.0 by KNTYP = I (Price for internal costing).
<b>35. Service charge settlement(trading contract)</b> - Indicates that the trading contract conditions should be calculated using the vendor billing document.
<b>36. Quantity conversion</b> - This field controls the quantity conversion during determination of the condition basis.
The field is only relevant for calculation rule 'C' (quantity- dependent.
<b>37. Condition exclusion</b> - Indicates whether the system automatically excludes the discounts that are proposed during pricing.
<b>
38. Pricing date</b> - Enter the identification code for the date to which a condition of this type is to be calculated in the sales document. If you do not enter an identification code, the pricing date or the date of services rendered is used.
<b>39. Relevance for account assignment</b> - Controls how account assignment is performed for conditions of this type.
<b>40. Text determination procedure</b> - Identifies a group of text types that you can use in, for example, a sales document header. The text procedure also determines the sequence in which the text types appear in the document.
<b>41. Text ID</b> - Specifies which text ID appears in Text Edit Control.
The text ID defines the different types of texts that belong to a text object.
For the respective fields press <b>"F4"</b> and you will see the various options. Select those and try it out yourself by creating the sales order and see the effects. It will help you a lot. If you understand the control of each field then you will automatically understand the different condition types and how they behave in the sales documents
Reward points if solution helps.

  • WebView reporting field explanation

    Hello,
In Webview reporting daily call type "caltyp22" there's a column called "completed tasks - return" that appears in the exported report in excel format as "returnBR" which stands for "return Busy Ring".
I have checked in Webview Template Reference guide searching for the meaning of this field but could not understand exactly the meaning of this field.
    Snippet from the guide:
The number of tasks of the call type that ICM software routed to Return nodes during the half-hour interval.
    Derived from: Call_Type_Half_Hour.ReturnBusyToHalf + Call_Type_Half_Hour.ReturnRingToHalf + Call_Type_Half_Hour.ReturnReleaseToHalf +
    Can someone explain please?
    Thanks,
    Justine.

    Hi Chris,
    Thank you for the explanation.
I need to explain a bit the routing scripts on ICM:
    - I have an ICM Routing Script that sends the call to CVP for self service. Then the customer can press star to speak to an agent. Then the Call is requalified to another Call Type for reporting purposes.
    - The new call type is triggered where a new Routing Script is executed. This script contains the Queue along with the Hold Music.
In WebView reports, I can see the following in caltyp22 daily report:
    (1) For the first Call Type (IVR only):
    Completed Tasks columns:
    I know that:
    - Total = Aban + Return + Flow Out + Others
    - Aban : number of calls that have closed the line while in IVR (did not choose to speak to an agent)
    - Flow Out : number of calls that were requalified to the second call type (this is equal to the number of calls that was offered to the Queue)
    I need to know:
    - Return : this column contains a number that is almost equivalent to 1/4 of the Total Completed Tasks
    (2) For the second Call Type (queue):
    Return = 0
I am interested more in the Return value for the first call type.  Any idea what this value refers to?
    Thanks,
    Justine.

  • Order Management Fields Explanation

    Hi All,
I want to learn R12 Order Management Important forms and their fields with meaning. Can anyone provide the helpfull link to learn each and every mandatory and important field in order management.
    Thanks in advance,
    Praveen Kumar.

    Hi Arif,
    first thanks
R12 user guide is OK for learning.but it has the entire fields information. in this we can't identify which fields are mandatory and which are not to business flow.because it flow will follows first to end in user guides.
experience candidates can identify about that.but we are in learning stage. so that's why Iam asking just important and mandatory fields list and their meaning.if any required URL means please forward to me as easy learn.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Required Field Explanation?

Newby Here.  So, I've marked my form to have "required fields". But there are no error messages when the user skips the required fields.  Why? They don't seem "required".
Perhaps "required" doesn't mean what I think it means.  Can you give me an idea of what "required" refers to in a form?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

When you mean “submitted”, you mean something other than emailed or saved right?
Any ideas on how to create this script on the document so that certain fields will be required before it can be emailed or printed?

  • How to pass a presentation variable to a stored procedure?

    Hi All,
We have a complex security model to emulate. In order to achieve that, we need to find a way for OBI to run and pass parameter to a stored procedure (SP).
"APlus_BI_EmplName2" is the name of the stored procedure.
This SP requires a param and can be run in toad for SQL as : - exec APlus_BI_EmplName2 @ empno
here is one example:- exec APlus_BI_EmplName2 128807
It will result in empno, empname (128807,Looney VALERIE).
Also, I have made a sample report on the Dashboard. Here i'm capturing a employee number via a dropdown in a presentation variable ( "empno") which i would like to pass to the stored procedure... just a way of testing that a variable/param can be passed to SP...

  • Motion strobe 24p export trouble

    hey all.
new to posting but reading posts has helped a lot. thanks.
i am having trouble exporting files to DVD. i am getting ugly horizontal lines during movement within the frame whenever i burn to disc.
the material is 24p anamorphic in a 4:3 timeline. (it isn't squeezed, i'm playing it widescreen with black bars.) it is a multicam edit.
i have exported the files 'using quicktime conversion' and i've tried many different setting combos. there is minimal strobing on the quicktime files when i play back but exagerated strobing on the actual disc. in the final cut canvas the image looks great.
i am trying burn three programs ranging in length from 30 mins to 1:49 mins. i am dragging mpg-2 quicktime file into iDVD. (doing tutorials on DVDSP to learn now.)
these are the settings a friend instructed me to use.
method: 1-pass CBR (constant bit rate)
Data rate: 4000 for a 2 hour program, 7000 for a 1 hour program (do not exceed 7000)
    Frame Size: 720, 480
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Aspect Ratio: 4:3
    Field Encoding: Bottom field first
    I Frame Rate: 15
additionally you want to make sure that the mpeg2 is set for deinterlacing.
just not sure what i'm doing wrong here. could it play the dvd burner itself? i've test multiple types of discs as well (including the apple brand.)
    any suggestions would be helpful.
    thanks,
    dan hayes...
p.s. i've read the ken stone 24p stuff and other posts but haven't seen my exact problem.

    wow.
thanks for the quick replies. wes. i am editing in a 29.97 timeline.
It sounds an awful lot like pulldown frames.
what exactly does this mean? (is it the half field explanation you provide?) my problem looks somewhat like this example. i have posted two screen shots on my blog if you wouldn't mind taking a look.
    http://freethinkpictures.blogspot.com/
as per your suggestion i have tested my dvd's on both NTSC and progressive monitors. i see these horrible lines on both screens.
my impression is that i DO NOT need to do anything different/special to regular 24p footage (as opposed to 24pa). i imported in dv ntsc anamorphic (29.97) and edited the same way.
But while you may perceive this as a problem, it is not really visible played back on an NTSC interlaced monitor. You only see it on a progressive computer monitor...
i am making this DVD available to a group of people, they may use progressive or interlaced monitors, so i'm hoping to create a disc that can be played back on both.
thanks very much for your time. any additional feedback is appreciated!

  • Field Symbols - two explanations.

    Hi,
Reading the documentation about field symbols, I find two explanations where I want to get to the bottom of it. More exactly:
    1) During the assignment of field symbols which have a structure imposed (definition with structure), the system checks in non-Unicode programs whether the assigned data object has the same length.
    2) (syntax) ASSIGN mem_area TO  casting_spec range_spec.
The assigned memory area mem_area must be at least as long as the data type specified in casting_spec and must have the same alignment. If the data type determined in casting_spec is deep, the assigned memory area must have deep components of the same type at the same position.
Any exaple (ABAP code) will be well appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

  • 30p with a Canon XA10 - need help with Final Cut 7 "FIELD DOMINANCE" setting and an explanation of "drop frames". Thank you!!

I shot footage using a Canon XA10 and there are issues with the HD quality not looking as crisp as it should.  I am trying to make sure the settings in Final Cut are right.  Need help confirming what should be in "Field Dominance" --- have seen discussions about making sure it's set to "none" but I'm confused as to what to do.
Also someone suggested I use "drop frames" to change from 30p to 24p within Final Cut.  He couldn't explain how to do it so any input appreciated as well as any thoughts on whether this is a good option to try.

If you're shooting 30p, field dominance should be set to none.   Since you need to use log and transfer to bring this material in to fcp, I would assume it would be set correctly automatically.  Are you sure you've set the camera properly?
Drop frames will not change 30 p to 24p.   Dropframe timecode simply refers to the number assigned to each frame which drops an occasional number (not any frames) so the timecode duration is the actual duration, since 30p videoi is actually 29.97 frames per second which each frame assigned a timecode number.
This is very basic video stuff and requires some basic knowledge of video.  Wikipedia is a pretty good resource for much of this stuff plus there are lots of great resources on the web.  Look up interlaced and progressive video, 24p and 30p.
And as far as judging quality, you can only get an accurate view of the quality in fcp when you have a video card attached to a video monitor.  The viewer and canvas are only an approximation of what the quality is.  Minimally, set the canvas or viewer to 100% to get a better approximation of the quality.

  • Explanation of Status field in Content Repository in Customizing ?

    Hi
When we open the Content repository in customizing (OAC0) & click on CS Admin , under the Details Tab there is a field status which shows % for data & logs. What do this percentages represent.
In our system it displays data 76% , Log 6%.
Clicking F1 did not provide any info. I would appreciate if someone can let me know what this  % represent.

  • Explanation of some fields description

    HI
In MM module, at the time of creation of Inbound deliver (Vl31n), If we click on Header information (Hat), and then click on “Shipment” tab, There are description of few fields which are not readable and understandable. For example “DGMgmtProf” , “Trnsplnsta”. It is confusing for end user. Is it intentionally abbreviated like this or there is some other reason for such description.   Please advise ? “

I think it is intentionally abbreviated like that as for the limitation of the no of letters , where here in both the cases it is 10 letters each in  “DGMgmtProf” ,  “Trnsplnsta”.
I checked in my system , but seems i do not have access to shipment feild.
Please check by click on F1 or F4 by going inside where you doubt and also click on Question mark for further information

  • Very basic, explanation about data fields

    Hi everyone,
I am new here and I need to undertand the difference between static and nonstatic data fields. In my tutorial it says:
"To help you determine wether a data field should be static or not, you can ask your self how many many times it occurs. If it occurs once per class, it is static. but if it occurs once per object, it is not static".
can anyone explain what that means?

  • Table Field - TIMEREST explanation (Performance)

    Hi All
I am benchmarking the runtime performance of a query before and after the introduction of an aggregate using (RSRT).  In the results of the BW - output test is a field - TIMEREST - it's descriptive text is "Time that the system was unable to assign."
There was a positive reduction in the times allocated but I noted that when the query ran without the aggregate the value in TIMEREST was 0.00 and when run with the aggregate it was 49.52? Does anyone know what this means - is it significant?
    Thank you in advance
    Helen

    Thanks Tony for your response.
    We're running Netweaver 04, BW 3.5 to SP 20, Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 ECC 5
I'm running RSRT with data in our Dev client, so not too many records -10k-  relevant for this query; presumably this value is going to increase rapidly by the time it gets to Production?
Whilst TIMEREST setting increased from 0.00 to 49.52 when the aggregate was introduced other (more?) significant times decreased by big amounts. So on balance should I ignore this?
Does anyone have anything else to add to this discussion?
    Thank you in advance.

  • Date / Time System fields - inconsistent

This is a weird one...please bear with me
Before I begin...note that this is not a problem that is difficult to fix, I'm just interested in better understanding why the system fields are behaving the way they are.
We have 20 or so programs that use a function module to create a file header that includes a date/time stamp.  The programs also place a trailer with a date/time stamp that should match the one in the header.  However, the programmer used different system fields (after a GET TIME statement) to create the date/time stamp in the trailer.  On occasion, the date/time stamp comes out different.
Here's the code (sry about all caps):
      GET TIME.
      CONCATENATE SY-DATUM SY-UZEIT INTO BATCHID.
      CALL FUNCTION 'Z_YADAYADA'
           EXPORTING
                FILE_ID              = P_FILEID
                REFRESH_TYPE         = P_REFTYP
                START_PERIOD         = START_PER
                END_PERIOD           = END_PER
           IMPORTING
                STRING255            = OUTPUTSTRING
           EXCEPTIONS
                INVALID_REFRESH_TYPE = 1
                INVALID_BATCH_ID     = 2.
      ...sy-subrc check...
TRANSFER OUTPUTSTRING TO P_FILE1.  <--header output
CONCATENATE L_TRL BATCHID COUNT T_TOTAL SPACE
                  INTO OUTPUTSTRING SEPARATED BY L_DEL.
      CONDENSE OUTPUTSTRING NO-GAPS.
TRANSFER OUTPUTSTRING TO P_FILE1.  <--trailer output
    inside function module *****
      CONCATENATE: SY-DATLO SY-TIMLO INTO DATESTAMP,
                   SY-SYSID SY-MANDT INTO MACHINE_NAME.
      CONDENSE: DATESTAMP, MACHINE_NAME NO-GAPS.
      CONCATENATE C_HDR DATESTAMP FILE_ID MACHINE_NAME
                  SY-CPROG ' ' REFRESH_TYPE START_PERIOD
                  END_PERIOD DATESTAMP
                  INTO STRING255 SEPARATED BY '~'.
      CONDENSE: STRING255 NO-GAPS.
You can see that the function uses SY-DATLO and SY-TIMLO for creation of the header, while SY-DATUM and SY-UZEIT are used for the trailer.  What's wierd is that sometimes the trailer has a date/time stamp that is 1 second <b>greater</b> than the header, despite the fact that it is stored in the BATCHID variable <b>before</b> the header is created.
Any help, references, explanations greatly appreciated (and rewarded with points)
    BMV

    Hi Brian
Here is the related part from the weblog of ABAP expert Horst Keller. Hope it may help. For the full document, you can visit <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.sdn.wcm.compound.docs/library/uuid/f1391fc3-0301-0010-d384-fccd036f1c67">here</a>.
The values of all system fields in this table are implicitly set when the program is started, every time a screen layout of a screen is sent, and when the internal mode is set. The GET TIME command explicitly updates the system fields, except for sy-dayst, sy-fdayw and sy-tzone.
With the exception of sy-datlo and sy-timlo, all system fields refer to the local date and time of the current SAP system. The ABAP runtime environment clock is synchronized with the database server clock at regular intervals in order to calculate the local time of the SAP system. During the synchronization process, the ABAP runtime environment clock is set to the database server clock. Because this happens on all application servers in an SAP system, the ABAP runtime environment clock is synchronous with the clocks on all other application servers and with the database system clock, and thus shows the local time of the entire SAP system. The time zone on which the local time of an SAP system is based is the only entry in the database table TTZCU.
The content of sy-zonlo is taken from the user master record of the current user. The values of sy-datlo and sy-timlo are calculated from sy-datum and sy-uzeit and from the time zone of the SAP system for the time zone in sy-zonlo. If the user master record does not contain a time zone, or if it contains an invalid or an inactive time zone, sy-datlo and sy-timlo are set to the values of sy-datum and sy-uzeit. All valid time zones are defined in table TTZZ.
Is't the naming of sy-datum and sy-uzeit really geeky?
    Time Stamps
The above system fields for date and time are not sufficient for many requirements of determining unique points in time: They represent local times and the values are measured in seconds. For more exact date and time determination, you use time stamps.
A time stamp represents date and time in the form YYYYMMDDHHMMSS. YYYY is the year, MM the month, DD the day, HH the hour, MM the minutes and SS the seconds. There is a short form and a long form. In the long form, the format specified above additionally contains 7 decimal places for fractions of seconds, which allows for an accuracy of up to 100 ns. The maximum time resolution depends on the operating system of the application server and may be less.
A valid time stamp must contain values whose date and time specifications before the decimal separator correspond to valid values for the data types d and t. Time stamps in this form are always considered as UTC (Universal Time Coordinated, basis for calculating worldwide time specifications; the UTC reference time is based on Greenwich Mean Time, GMT, but is not a time zone; it has no daylight saving time or summer time) time stamps when processed with the corresponding statements. You use the statement GET TIME STAMP to create a time stamp that represents the current UTC reference time.

  • Syntax and format of a IF statement in formula XPath in a InfoPath field

    Good day
I needed assistance with IF statement syntax in a InfoPath field formula.
    If Field_1 = null
    concat(substring-before(txtComponentNo1, "."), ".", substring-before(field17, "."), ".", substring-after(field17, "."))
    Else
    concat(substring-before(txtComponentNo1, "."), ".", substring-before(field17, "."), ".", substring-after(field17, ".")+1)
    or in Advance XPath
    If Field_1 = null
    concat(substring-before(../../../my:grpComponent_1/my:grpComponent1/my:txtComponentNo1, "."), ".", substring-before(../../my:field17, "."), ".", substring-after(../../my:field17, "."))
    Else
    concat(substring-before(../../../my:grpComponent_1/my:grpComponent1/my:txtComponentNo1, "."), ".", substring-before(../../my:field17, "."), ".", substring-after(../../my:field17, ".") + 1)

  • TDS amount not getting updated in the table under the field QBSHB

    Dear Friends,
The TDS amount entered while booking the vendor invoices through MIRO T-cde, is not getting updated in the table BSEG under the field QBSHB.
Kindly let me know the reason for the same and guide me to correct it
    TIA.
    Regards,
    Vincent

    HI Vincent,
Bseg-QBSHB field is relavent for classic WT.
I hope you are using the EWT.
Hence if you post a document through MIRO it will not update
(but if you post document FB60 it will update but wrongly).
Reason is Miro document is posted through interface.
Hence SAP is suggested to not refer the Bseg-QBSHB and etc., fields.
    refer only with_item table.
Please refer the below replay from SAP
Please refer the below note .363309
Please review attached note 363309 for detailed explanation
BSEG-QBSHB is designed to fill for the classic withholding tax. And
extended withholding tax information is stored exclusive in table
    WITH_ITEM.
You can check in table BSEG for the fields and will find that system
    do NOT update field BSEG-QBSHB.
In your line layout, you define a field BSEG-QBSHB. But actully the field
of vendor/customer line item is filled with zero from FI. Thus,it shows
    zero in line item display.
    And as note 363309 says,
"Remove the field which contains the withholding tax information
    from your display variant.
If you want to display the withholding tax information, double-click on
the document number and subsequently choose 'Withholding tax' button."
(BSEG-QSSKZ, BSEG-QSSHB, BSEG-QBSHB) field is not relavent for
Extended withholding tax and not suppose to use in report FBL1N.
It basically does not make any sense to use the withholding tax fields
of the document line items (BSEG-QSSKZ, BSEG-QSSHB, BSEG-QBSHB) with the
    activated extended withholding tax.
    regards
