Field symbol to move column of one ITAB to row of another ITAB

Hello , I need some help on this . I have two ITAB's
Like ITAB1 with 1  field  and
ITAB2 with say around 100 fields and all the field name are different in ITAB2 .
Now ITAB1 has 1 column and 100 rows data in it . I want to move all the values from the rows of ITAB1 into next to next fields of ITAB2 on a single row . Like this.
ITAB1
1
2
3
5
I Want to move these five rows to ITAB2  like below
ITAB 2
1     2      3      4     5
Not able to use do varrying as field names of ITAB2 are diff . Also dont want to write a lengthy code for manual field to field movement . Any help . is it possible to get this done using field symbol.
Thanks
J

Solved . Below thing helped me .
field-SYMBOLS <fs> TYPE any.
FIELD-SYMBOLS <comp> TYPE ANY.
ASSIGN wa_it2 to <fs>.    " target ITAB work area
loop at it1.
ASSIGN COMPONENT sy-tabix of STRUCTURE <FS> to <comp>.
  <comp> = it1-f1.
endloop .
append wa_it2 to it2.
UNASSIGN : <fs> , <comp> .
Cheers

    Hi
You can use the following statement
    ls_fcat-col_pos           =  01.
By using this you can fix your column position
or else to sort the column try like this
    sort-spos = '10'.
    SORT-FIELDNAME = 'Years'.
    SORT-TABNAME = 'DATA_TAB2'.
    sort-UP = 'X'.
    sort-subtot = 'X'.
    SORT-GROUP = '* '.
    APPEND SORT. CLEAR SORT.
In the It_SOET internal table write:
    IT_SORT-Group = 'X'.

  • How to create a text field (multi-line) that starts on one pages but finishes on another?

    Hi,
I would like to create a multiline text field that the field starts on one pages but finishes on another?
Here is an example of what I want. The text starts in the top of the box (1st box) and would continue in the bottom box (2nd box).
I have Adobe Acrobat X (version 10.1.1) on Windows 7. I know I could use Live Cycle to create an expandable but I need to import this form to Adobe Form Central after therefore Live Cycle isn't an option.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

    Hi,
I found a possible solution to my question which is working OK with form central (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/303650)
Here are the limitation of that option (that I found out so far):
it cuts in the middle of the word you are writting when switching to the next box
you can't copy and paste a long text
if you remove text from the first box i won't move text from the second box back up
you can't go back with your cursor from the second box to the first (e.g. to edit you text)
Any other ideas of how I can get that done?
    Thank you!

  • Adding Specific columns of dynamic internal table row into another column

    Hi Gurus,
I need to add  few columns of a dynamic internal table row into another column:
    Article description hy01 hy02 total

    102      masht         12     12     24

How to add the the values in hy01 hy 02... into total.
    Regards,
    Dep

    Hi,
If you really want to have a dynamic table, then you will have to find a way to generate a whole new table, and then copy the data from the old table to the new one. There is no way to modify a type during runtime in ABAP.
Here an example how to generate a dynamic table based on another internal table, hope this will help you.

  • Please select a Numbers document that has one or more named header columns and one or more rows of data.

This  IS the same error message I keep getting when I try and create labels.  I've done it in the past but this year it won't.  I am using the latest update of Pages and numbers.
    Help??

    Mike,
Thanks for the question. I hadn't explored this previously.
You must first create your data table in a Numbers document and save that document. Use a Header Row and place your data descriptions in that row, with your data below.
Then you create your Pages document with merge fields, but don't format the merge titles yet.
Now, go to the Pages Link Inspector and Select the Numbers document to merge from.
One by one, select your merge location text and add to the Merge Field list in the Inspector, selecting the corresponding descriptor in the Numbers table.
Finally, in Pages, Edit > Mail Merge.
    Here's an example:
In the screen shot, the Numbers table is in the background, the Pages merge format document is in the foreground, and the result document is at the mid-plane.

  • Transferring movies downloaded from one computer in itunes to another

ok i bought some movies on itunes but i was having some issues downloading them so i downloaded them on a friends computer but now that i have resolved my issues on this computer i can't find the movies that i had downloaded on my friends computer. how do i get them back on mine or do i just have to buy them and download all over again?

See if this helps: iTunes Music Store: Finding missing music and video downloads
*how do i get them back on mine or do i just have to buy them and download all over again?*
If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on the link at the bottom of this page you'll be able to email your query: iTMS Customer Service
If you have an iPod that still has the purchases on it the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

  • Best way to move securities from one Active Directory (AD) to another ?

    Hi experts,
We are currently moving all our employees from several Active Directories (AD) to a Global active directory (GAD). So user accounts and all our BPC securities set up will keep being the same. Only the active directory has to be changed.
What would be the best way to proceed to migrate all our current securities from our various AD to our new GAD ?
We are on SAP BPC MS 7.0 SP3, SQL Server 2008
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Ludovic

If the name of somain will remain the same then you don't have to do anything from BPC point of view.
You just to make sure that doing ping of "domain name" it will respond the new active directory GAD not the old one.
If the domain name was changed then from BPC point of view we are speaking actually about complete different users.
So the security must to be redone for all users.
    domain1\user1 is different by dmain2\user1.

  • How to move data from one DB (non-partitioned) to another DB (partitioned)

I have a huge database (2 TB) that is storing data in non-partitioned tables. I want to create another database to store the exact same data but in partitioned tables. How can I do this in the most efficient manner? Good old export and import should work but this would take ages.

Let me give you guys a full picture and see if you could help me.
The existing Unix server is running an Oracle 8i Database (datawarehouse) and I'm planning to create a new 10g database on a new Unix server. After which I will do parallel loading on both databases until I am ready to switch over to the new database. Most of the tables in the existing database is not partitioned and I need it to be partitioned on the new database. My database is around 2.4 TB and it is residing on a SAN (4.4 TB). I am planning only to have the 10g binary files on the new unix server, thus the new database would be on the SAN. Disk space availability is my most immediate concern as I would also have to set aside 600 GB on the SAN for another server.
Any suggestions on how can I do this best?

  • Copying an  internal table data to a field symbol(only corresponding field)

    Hi,
Iam having field symbol type standard table which has 4 fields in it already.
I am having an internal table which has 10 columns in it.
Now i want to copy the data from internal table to field symbol .But the problem is the fields which are matched in field symbol alone should be copied from the internal table.
    for eg.
    field symbol type table.
    field1.
    field2.
    field3.
    itab type internal table.
    field1
    field2
    field3
    field4
    field5
    field6.
i want to copy the first 3 fields alone from the internal table itab to the field symbols. Can anyone help me on  how to do this. thanks...
    Regards,
    Rose.

    Hi,
Chk below example, and match with ur scenario.
    data: begin of itab,
          a , b ,c , d,e,
          end of itab,
          wa like itab,
          jtab like table of itab,
          begin of fsy,
          a, b ,c,
          end of fsy.
    field-symbols:<fs> type any.
         assign fsy to <fs>.
         wa-a = 'x'. wa-b = 'y'. wa-c = 'z'. wa-d = 'r'.
         append wa to jtab.
          loop at jtab into wa.
            move-corresponding wa to <fs>.
          endloop.

  • Field-Symbols usage

I have this internal table with more than 8 lacs of records. This table is looped inside to fetch some other data from a database table.
I am losing the performance because of all this looping. Can anyone tell me how to use field-symbols in this case. I have gone through some documentation on field-symbols. Can anyone tell if the below one is correct.
    data: begin of struct,
          field1,
          field2,
          field3,
          end of struct.
    field-symbols <itab> like struct.
    assign struct to <itab>.
    loop at <itab>.
    <itab>-field1=....
    <itab>-field2=....
    further processing using <itab>....
    endloop.
If this is not true, whats the way one use the field-symbols when we want to loop?
    thanks

    Hi,
As others have said, you can use field-symbols as your header in your itab. This will give you improved performance because the data that you are currently looping will not be moved from itab to the header/work area. It will point directly to that record in your itab so lesser memeory is required. Also, using field-symbols is needed when creating programs using ABAP OO. Below is an example:
data: it_spfli type table of spfli.
    field-symbols: <fs_spfli> like line of it_spfli.
select * from spfli into table it_spfli.
    loop at it_spfli assigning <fs_spfli>.
    endloop.
    Hope this helps...
P.S. Please award points for useful answers.

  • Field-symbol in user_exit

    Hi,
I have access one field-symbol which is populated in satndard sap program in my user_exit.
Done some data change in that field-symbol but data is getting lost when that field-symbol is afgain moving back to sap program.
    please suggest

    Hi,
I am not sure about this but you can also try with the below solution.
Try to define one more field symbol of type the existing one. Before leave the user exit just pass your field symbol value to the newly created one.

    Hello Gayathri,
One you got the dump you can select debugger button in top-left corner screen.
That will take you to the execution snap shot where you can check all the field symbols and find out which one is not
assigned. accordingly you can find out what is missing on input side to avoid this dump.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks,

  • Error in Field symbol assignment

What is wrong in following code ???
    At line --> (Bold) I am gettin sy-subrc 4.
    field-symbols: <F> type any,
                         <FSVALUE> type any.
SPLIT P_QUOTATION_TEXT-TEXT_LINE AT CRLF INTO TABLE I_SPLIT.
        IF NOT I_SPLIT[] IS INITIAL.
          LOOP AT I_SPLIT ASSIGNING <F>.
    -->      ASSIGN COMPONENT SY-TABIX OF STRUCTURE <F> TO <FSVALUE>.
            IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
              WA_TEXT-ITM_NUMBER = P_QUOTATION_TEXT-ITM_NUMBER.
              WA_TEXT-TEXT_ID = C_HEADERTEXT.
              WA_TEXT-LANGU  =  'EN'.
              WA_TEXT-FORMAT_COL = '*'.
              WA_TEXT-TEXT_LINE = <FSVALUE>.
              APPEND WA_TEXT TO I_TEXT.
              CLEAR WA_TEXT.
            ENDIF.
          ENDLOOP.

    I'll try to get clearer
SPLIT P_QUOTATION_TEXT-TEXT_LINE AT CRLF INTO TABLE I_SPLIT.
You are splitting at CRLF, fine. I_split has only one field or none if you want to get more thecnical.
    LOOP AT I_SPLIT ASSIGNING <F>.
Here you are starting to loop at each entry of i_split, assigning each entry to , again only one field
ASSIGN COMPONENT SY-TABIX OF STRUCTURE <F> TO <FSVALUE>.
Again, this will never work because as you are declaring it i_split doesn't have an structure, also  doesn´t have an structure only one field
It doesn't make any sense that you are assigning the same field to another field-symbol when you already have one.
And even if you used the type I told you, it would only work in the first pass because only in the first pass you can assign the component 1 of the structure because the structure only has one field, there would not be any component 2,3... etc.
Again I don't understand what you are trying to do, if you want to assign that loop pass text to a table, just pass the field-symbol you already have
