Field to be populated based on other two values

I have a two fields from and to
From value is AB000000121 and To value is AB000001200
I have a third field quantity i need the range between the above two values to be displayed automatically
How can we do this

For me the question is what is the range between the tow values? They are not numbers, integers or longs.
The only solution I see is to implement a bean method which calculates the range (you have to do this yourself) and return the correct number or store it in a bean property.
This you can use in a EL to show the result.

    Hi All,
    I have a problem here -
    In Table XYZ I have columns by name A, B, C and COL_I. COL_I has a value A or B or C. Based on the value in COL_I, I need to get the value from the corresponding column in the table.
    For Ex: If the COL_I has the value as 'A' then I need to fetch the value from the column A. If it is 'B' then fetch from column B.
    This has to be done in a single query.

    Hello!
    I am trying to create a report of the inventory items. 2 of the fields in the report would be the sale price of the item, and one of the properties (prop1) from the Item Master Property tab.
    Depending on whether Prop1 is Y/N, the price of the item should be displayed.
    If Prop1 = N, Price is displayed
    If Prop1 = Y, Price gets hidden
    Using queries, is it possible to create this kind of reports?
    I am using SAP 2005b PL 42.

    I need to conditionally render a column say A. Condition is like if the value in the other column B of same table is equal to F. I should render column A only when this condition is satisfied. I have tried the following code:

    Timo was saying that it is not possible to render the column in some situations and not in anothers, you will always have to render the column.
    The best way to do this is instead of showing a column with the text ' ', show something meaningfull to the user. This is a DataWarehouse advice to you and may be usefull since you're using ADF in a area that uses DataWarehouse..
    So the code could be something like this (based on Timo's code):

  • Populating a reqd. selection field based  on other selection field-Reports?

    I have a selection screen wherein there are several fields which are mandatory.Now it has fields like customer Number(KNA1-KUNNR) for which there is a standard help coming in and customer name(KNA1-NAME1).
    My requirement is as soon as user selects a customer no along with customer no customer name field is also populated without performing any action on screen.Now if I write the code as:-
    at selection-screen on p_name1.

    There are few problems in this:-
    1)It will be executed only when user presses enter or F8 but I dont want that...
    2)Also if I perform any action on screen say pressed enter this code will be executed only when i have put in values in all the MANDATORY fields.So will have to put in a dummy value first since its a mandatory field and then this code will be executed which doesn't serve my purpose..
    Please suggest a way out..Its really urgent..Have to make an object delivery

  • Populating fields based on list box values

    I have created an application based off of a table and so the 1st page is the actual report and the 2nd page is the data entry form. I have changed the form elements (like text box to select list) etc.
    I need to have (2) text box fields populated based on the value from the 2nd select list box. I created a pl/sql page process that will check the value of the select list and assign values to the text boxes. This is triggered when a POPULATE button is pressed.
    When I select a truck number in the select list - nothing happens and the original select list values get reset back to original. There is another button used in order to insert the data so that's why I figured I needed to add another button to trigger the population of the text boxes from a table. Here is my pl/sql page process used to populate:

    Make P2_DRIVER_CODE be a form element of Select List with Submit
    Create 2 items, P2_DRVR1 and P2_DRVR2, of form element Hidden
    Edit the P2_DRIVER_1 item. In the source region enter :P2_DRVR1 in Post Calculation Computation.
    Edit the P2_DRIVER_2 item. In the source region enter :P2_DRVR2 in Post Calculation Computation.
    Create a page rendering computation for item: P2_DRVR1.
    Type: SQL Query
    Computation Point: Before Header
    Computation: SELECT dr1_name FROM active_drivers a WHERE a.code = :P2_DRIVER_CODE
    Create a page rendering computation for item: P2_DRVR2.
    Type: SQL Query
    Computation Point: Before Header
    Computation: SELECT dr2_name FROM active_drivers a WHERE a.code = :P2_DRIVER_CODE
    When an item is selected in P2_DRIVER_CODE the page will submit/refresh, causing the computations to be fired. P2_DRIVER_1 and P2_DRIVER_2 will be populated by the return of the queries in the computations respectively.
    P2_DRIVER_1 and P2_DRIVER_2 are still editable by the user (unless you define them as read only) but if you have another select list with submit on the form, if used, the page will refresh and the computation will run again overwriting what the user has entered.
    Suppose I want the user to be able to change the defaults and keep from losing them (changed back to default) in case another item submits/refreshes the page.
    Create a hidden item P2_DRIVER_CODE_CHANGE with the source of: Static Text. For the Default Value enter &P2_DRIVER_CODE. (include the period after &P2_DRIVER_CODE)
    Edit the P2_DRVR1 and P2_DRVR2 computations and in the Conditional Computations region set:
    Condition Type: Text in Expression 1 != Expression 2 (include &ITEM substitutions)
    Expression1: &P2_DRIVER_CODE.
    Expression2: &P2_DRIVER_CODE_CHANGE.

The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
    Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
    Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
    Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
    You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
    BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

    One method to achieve this functionality would be  :
    1. Find out the maintenance screen and function group of the table maintenance generator say 0001 and Z03_PRO_FN. ( u can find out by going into tables - > utilities -> tmg - to find Function group. for screen number- from TMG ->utilites->modifications->maintanence screen -> note the screen number).
    2. Go to SE80 and open Z03_PRO_FN screen number 0001.
    3. For field 1 - create a module in Process on Value Request Event in PAI of the maintenance screen ( Similar to any module pool program)
    call the FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST( In Process on Value request event of field 1 in PAI)
    4. Use FM DYNP_VALUES_Update to read the value of field 1 on the screen ( Because this is before enter is pressed and field 1 on the module pool porogram would not be populated with value ) and update the field 2.

    These are the sqls to fetch the 4 values in each dynamic action:

    Right now, I only have one dynamic action for text field P14_BILLING_ADDRESS_1, and even for just one the value is not showing up in it. Please note that when I added for dynamic actions, the the values were showing up in all the 4 text fields before.
    Then when I added 4 more dynamic actions for a different Select List (P14_CUSTOMER), but for the same text fields, it all stopped working. And now even a single dynamic action is not working. This is how the sql for next 4 dynamic actions looked like:

    You can populate LOV manually at New_instance_item or Key_next_item

    I guess the territory gets populated based on the Partner associated to the order.
    There shooukd be an attribute like TERRITORY_ID_UI or TERRITORY_ID where in the GET method the territory ID will be derived
    based on the partner relations and being populated.
    Now you need to redefine this method and remove this logic....figure which partner relation stores the prospect and put the appropriate code.

    I am pre-populating a Pdf file based upon the data submitted by the user. And I have to circle options selected in the form.
    I am writing coldfusion code to flatten, populate the form into a PDF form. The end result is the PDF generation with all the data in it.
    The data comes from the database, where I set variable values if any is selected or not.
