File adapter throwing no connections available error in a cluster.

Hi
If I start OSB1 server first and then OSB2, OSB2 throws no connection available error. First started server working fine. I put initial capacity of jca file adapter to 100 and max capacity to 200. Can any one tell me the solution for this.

I have a problem running the file copy scenario from tutorial. The file adapter reads the file and removes it from the source directory but the message never receives the mapping engine.
The adapter throws the error message (sorry it's a german installation):
'Fehler beim Übertragen der Message zum Endpunkt https://hpsaps01.inveos.com:8001/sap/xi/engine?type=entry über die Verbindung AFW. Grund: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while silently connecting: org.w3c.www.protocol.http.HttpException: java.io.EOFException: Connection closed by remote host.'
Translated to english this would mean: Error by sending message to endpoint over connection AFW.
The status of the ist wait and changed after some time to system error.

I think it is a problem with Cache refresh. SO go to SXI_CACHE and try to refresh the mapping.

If the above doesnt work, Just try to restart AFW and AFxxx services (from Visual Admin)
Steps to restart AFW and AFxxx services are:
Start the Visual Admin tool. Connect to your XI J2EE Engine (640).
Go to Server->Services.
Try to restart such services as "SAP XI AF Messaging", "SAP XI AF Core", "SAP XI Adapter: XI", etc.

FTP Adapter ORABPEL-11407 Connection closed error.

I have configured the connection factory for FTP Adapter (not defined any connection pool). My BPEL process poll the ftp location to get the file.
But no bpel instance is getting generated and domain.log shows the following error. Can you help me in this issue ?

I am not sure what exactly is happening here. I have already established the successful connection with the same FTP server using different FTP clients.

sounds like the ftp server closed the connection. did you try to use other ftp clients from the same machine where the bpel engine is running?

Syn read file adapter throwing exception when file is not present directory

Hi Team,
Requirment is to check for a file is present in a soa directory .If present delete the existing and write a new one.
Syn read file adapter is throwing errors when file is not present in the directory soa local.
Any paramter we can add to skip this exception.

Hi:
An alternative is that , before u try to read it, u make a list directory, and search for ur file, if it is not in the list, then u don't read; otherwise, u do.
The list operation is part of the file adapter.

File Adapter creating huge connections and not releasing.

We see high no. of current connections in file adapter from weblogic console against eis/HAFileAdapter under deployments -> fileadapter -> monitoring -> Outbound Connection Pools and are concerned about the same. It seems like fileadapter is not releasing the connection and hence no. of connections are piling up over a days and depending upon the transactions. coz after a restart the values comes down from 36000 to 10 ( which is default initial connection).
But when i see at the datasource level i don't see that much number of active connections. Need to know why this is happening and is this behavior is expected?
We are using SOA 11g PS2

You are using HAFileAdapter in your processes JNDI defenitions? --Yes
Check in your HAFileAdapter Connection Pool if Shrinking Enabled is set to true. --Its set to true
I would recomend also to change the properties Test Connections On Reserve to true, and Test Frequency Seconds(900 is the default). --These properties are also in place

File Adapter : Throw alert when no file

I am using a file adapter as sender and lets say it polls the FTP server every 10 min.
My req is when there is no file in the FTP folder alert has to be triggered. Let me know how to do that.

If the file is not transfered with in 10 min then adapter consider an error and through the error.Use alert for adapter errors and send the alert."
I didn't find Time Out in sender Adapter,Time Out Flag is visible in OS CMDS..

SRFC-adapter and file adapter with error: no adapter found

Hello,
we have two scenarios here in an XI 3.0 SP12:
First scenario connects two R/3 systems via RFC adapter (outbound / inbound) for an RFC in a standard R/3 function module SUSR_ZBV_GET_REMOTE_PROFILES.
The RFC is synchronous.
Second scenario uses file adapter to send file from A to B.
When starting the RFC call from the sender system the error message in area "call adapter" for XML message in the trace is "exception while reading from SLD:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not exist".
Message in RWB:
"Transmitting the message using connection http://abc038.ceu.test.com:8077/sap/xi/engine?type=entry failed, due to: XIServer:AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not: Unable to find any Adapter Engines."
Same problem for file adapter!

Looks like an identical problem for both adapter.
What we have done (checked) so far:
- SLD connection is working
- Vis.Admin.: no problems found
(SAP RFC adapter active, file adapter active)
- Component monitoring: no errors, adapters are fine
- all rfc connections checked: ok
- have checked user and pwd and replaced to be sure
- cache refresh: ok
- reimport of SWCV to IR for RFC: done, no result
Does anybody have an idea, how to get rid of that?

Hello Udo,
in Adapter monitoring all adapters are listed and per adapter (here RFC and FILE) all adapter entries from the scenarios are available (sender / receiver comm. channel entries - in green)!
Pipeline URL in SLD Bus. Syst. is fine ( and an IDOC adapter scenario is running successfully) !
I think this is a really tricky one!

XI 2.0 Inbound file adapter : Connection reset by peer

I am using XI 2.0 and have an inbound file adapter. It polls every 5 minutes. But at least 1 or twice a day the file adapter stops with the following error message.
"java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: JVM_recv in socket input stream read" occurred \par
There have been times when this runs for days or weeks without any problems.
Has anyone else seen this issue and how do your correct it?
Currently I have to go into the file adpaters and restart them manually. It would be nice if there was some way to automate this function. Any ideas?

File adapter error

Hi ,
While monitoring file adapter it is showing the error.
Processing Error: No suitable sender agreement found
In the integration directory i have defined Sender Agreement and also defined Sender communication channel.
The communication channel for file adapter is defined in the business sytems.
The file adapter is not picking the file from the file system.
Kindly suggest what could be the error

The sender agreement you have created may not be matching, you have to check your sender system/sender interface & sender namespace parameters again and see if your converted XML ouput by the adapter is matching these 3 parameters.
possible issue could be with ur sender namespace. are u reading XML file or CSV file. If CSV check the namespace definition in ur file content conversion config. it may not match the sender namespace definition in sender agreement. Hope it helps

File upload throws an error if the file is opened

The file upload throws an Application type error if attached
file is opened and it returns the following error message: "The
MIME type of the uploaded file "application/octet-stream" was not
accepted by the server." The file type I tried to attach was MS
Word. It uploads fine if the file is closed.
Is this expected behavior? Is there fix for this - to be able
to upload a file while it is opened?

min occurance not satisfied.. main problem is if i kept unbounded for the data records, its showing me the while reading last record. if i specify data records with some defined value in maxoccurance . i can generated nxsd. otherwise i was popped up with min occurs not satisfied for the last record

Not sure where you when/where you getting that message but I can tell you that the wizard can help you to a certain point, for more complex translations do the best you can with the wizard and then go to edit the XSD source.

we are using sender file adapter in clustered environment(there are 6 J2EE cluster nodes in XI system) for an interface.the file sender communication channel for this interface is scheduled to run twice every day. recently the channel stopped polling (picking the files from the source directory) and i dont see any error.
when i open Communication Channel monitoring in RWB and select the file sender communication channel and run it manually, none of the cluster nodes are polling for the file.
i have tried editing the communication channel in Integration Directory and activating it. but it does not pick the file.
Can you let me know how the issue can be resolved.

clearly your cluster nodes are out of sync...!!!!
It is possible that your ftp server went down for a while . And in the profile of FTP machine the entry of XI server is not made permanent .
1. Try to ping the FTP site from XI server.
BTW are u getting any error msg at RWB ?

XI3.0 Receiver file adapter write to windows shared drive

Hi,
Our XI server SP09 currently runs on windows 2003 server, I wish to use the receiver file adapter to create a file on another windows server. I have created a folder on the other server and set permissions so that anyone can read and write to it.
The communication channel has been set-up with a target directory of //server/shared_folder/folder and a transport protocol of 'File system(NFS)'
When I try and send an XML message to the file adapter I get the following error on the runtime workbench :-
Last message processing started 09:47:10 2005-06-09, Error: Message processing failed with java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed - configuration error in file receiver adapter (Directory does not exist / cannot be created)
My questions are as follows :-
a) Do I have the target directory on the communication channel set-up correctly? i.e. do I use / or \
b) What username will need to be set-up on the other server so that the file adapter can write to the shared folder
c) Is there another way of providing user and password information for connecting to the other server?

as i understood from ur description is that u want ur file to b generated in some other machine then u have to mention that machine in ur SLD using correct specification..
