Minoccurance not satisfied error in file adapter, in complex native builder

hi ,
i need to read a file of format
header
data
tailer
for example
PurordPurItmPurDes
PO101Z1003refrigrator
PO102z1004washingmachine
PO103Z1003refrigrator
PO104z1005sterio
Purdate25/12/2012
while creating complex format using file adapter. i am getting following error

Hi,
Not sure where you when/where you getting that message but I can tell you that the wizard can help you to a certain point, for more complex translations do the best you can with the wizard and then go to edit the XSD source.
This document has plenty of samples...

• Could not open error log file ''. Operating system error = 5(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105).

Hello
When I try to start the SQl server service i get the following error:
Event id 17058
Could not open error log file ''. Operating system error = 5(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105).
As a test I have made sure the errorlog file ,and the entire drive it is, has everyone full control permissions, but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas to resolve this issue?
Thank you

Hi,
Try running:
SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('ErrorLogFileName')
Then verify that the account being used to run the SQL Server service account has access to the path output above. If possible, you could try logging onto the server with the same account used to run SQL Server then navigate to the errorlog folder.

Finally I found solution and was able to bring back online the SQL Services...
I had a very similar issue with the following error (event log):
Description:
The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service terminated with service-specific error 17058 (0x42A2).
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSSQLSERVER
Event Category: (2)
Event ID: 17058
Date: 19/05/2012

Description:
initerrlog: Could not open error log file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\ERRORLOG'.
Operating system error = 5(error not found).
In this case the ERRORLOG file had been marked as read only. This was following a scheduled automated boot. -This
was culprit
MSSQL wouldn't not start until this file had been changed.

• What does the "Copy error code files" option do in the build spec properties

I have the "Copy error code files" checked for my application build specification but when I run my EXE on a different computer and call the simple error handler, I don't get the custom error from my computer's
C:\Program Files(x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\user.lib\errors\User-errors.txt file. Instead I get the "this error code is undefined" explaination.
I've also tried including that file in the "always included" section of the build spec but that didn't work either. Am I missing something?

Specifically this paragraph:
"When building an executable (EXE) or shared library (DLL) with the Application Builder, make sure to add the custom error file as a support file (under the Source Files tab). For an executable, the custom error file will be saved in the <executable destination directory>\user.lib\errors directory. For a shared library, the custom error file will be saved in the National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\<version>\Errors directory. When distributing a shared library, make sure to install the custom error file in this directory."

• Error-Receiver File Adapter using Variable substitution when file is empty

XI Experts,
We are on PI 7.0, SP14.
We are using variable subtitution to get the filename from source message. This works fine as long as we have data in the payload for filename element. But we have a scenario where we don't have to create file when certain condition does not exists in source message so in the message payload filename element will not exists in such condition and file will be empty and we should not create file.
Parameter in the communication channel for Handling empty message is "Ignore".
Does anyone knows how to handle this scneario. We don't want to default any file name in the message mapping if source file name element does not exists.
We are following getting error in the Adapter engine.
MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error during variable substitution: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.varsubst.VariableDataSourceException: The following variable was not found in the message payload: file: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.configuration.DynamicConfigurationException: Error during variable substitution: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.varsubst.VariableDataSourceException: The following variable was not found in the message payload: file
Thanks
MP

You can implement this by writing the module to throw an exception or whatever method you want to execute.
If you don't want to receive an error message then module is suitable for you.

• Error with file adapter

HI ALL,
Our Secnario is Bapi to File.Hear in the Target side we have two target folders. For that I am internally place my file in the PI and pick up the file from PI and posted to end directories. For that Hear i am using 2 flows form BAPI to FILE.But problem is when i am monitoring the Receiver comm channel at target PI system its shows some error like Unable to clone File Adapter receiver channel for parallel processing and files are not posted in the target system
please provide the better solution for this issue
Thanks & Regards,
Satya

Hi,
I am internally place my file in the PI and pick up the file from PI and posted to end directories
Elaborate that process.
How to split the target directories. In this scenario is BPM? or Any rule implemented in Receiver determination.

• Shell Script not getting invoked in File adapter

Hi all,
Requirement:
PI need to pick the file from source directory and send it to target directory using SFTP.
I'm using SCP command for this purpose.
When I run the shell script (with simple SCP command) from command prompt, script is working fine.
Same script is called from PI File adapter but script is not getting invoked.
In the communication channel logs, "Executed OS command" is available. There are no Error/Warning messages in the log.
NFS transport protocol is used in the File communication channel.
Complete directory path of the shell script is mentioned in File channel -> Run Operating System command after message processing.
Even the following simple command is not working from PI receiver file channel:
echo "Test file" >> /data/test.txt
Please let me know if I'm missing out something.
Thanks,
Geetha

Hi Geetha,
I think the syntax u are using is not correct. Please follow the below syntax:
/path/<script_name> %F
for ex: /staging/Interface/XI/Script/FTPData %F
use the above in the communication channel.
%F should be after a space.
FTPData is the script name
/staging/Interface/XI/Script/ is the location where the script is present

• Error in File Adapter

I am getting an error in the Sender File adapter as "Configured source directory does not exist". Any idea?
FYI..
@source structure path is
IP address\Orders
@File Name is orders12122006.xml
@Transport protocal is File System and MP is File, processing mode is delete.
@I can't see any messages in SXMB_MONI and Message monitoring
@I got the above error message in File comm channel of Adapter monitoring.
@I tried the source structure as D:\Orders, \Orders, D:/Orders but no luck
@I am in the LAN and able to map the XI server to my PC.I can read and write to the specified folder of the server
@My System OS and server OS are both running on Windows.
Thanks in advance
Raju

HI sridhar,
for making your system as FTP Location:
Follow weblog: /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/08/01/along-came-a-file-adapter-mr-ftp-and-rest-of-the-gang
Then you can use ipaddress of your system.
Put your file in C:\ftproot folder. and give source path as '/'.
It should work.
=>If you want to use NFS only, Give ipadress of XI Sytem and place file at particular location D:\ORDERS.

• Error in File Adapter: no alert generated

Hi folks,
I have a problem with monitoring our file adapters.
In one scenario we occasionally get the following error:
Fehler bei der Konvertierung des Dateiinhalts in XML an Position 0: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 2 according to structure 'eTSFlatDetailStructure':java.lang.Exception: ERROR in configuration / structure 'eTSFlatDetailStructure.': More elements in file csv structure than field names specified!
So I have build an alert category with me as recipient and an alert rule in Runtime Workbench with the following attributes:
- Rule active
- Alert-category as I have created above
- Bound to Message: no
- Error occures in Adapter Engine -> File Adapter
I have tested the Category... it works... but the rule does not fire any alert.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks

• File Adapter fixed length Native format Builder schema not reading the data as expected

Hi
We are using a File Adapter for reading a fixed length data. Using the schema we are able to read the file but the places are incorrect. Following is the schema that we used and the payload.
At the last you can find our expected read of data how it should be.
With out the record type code we are not even reading the file. Hope there should be a correction in the schema. Please suggest

• Receiving "Invalid char in text." error from file adapter

I'm testing a file adapter and am receiving the following error:
Invalid char in text.
The invalid character seems to be the ascii Record Separator character, Hex 1E, HTML

Is it possible for me to modify the file adapter schema to handle this character?

The HTML description should have been this (minus space characters)
& # x a ;

• Error on file adapter (GENERAL_ERROR on XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_XI_HANDLER )

Hi Experts,
I have just configured a sender file adapter with content conversion in a PI 7.0. I will try to explain the problem:
1. I put the text file on the selected folder, to be taken.
2. The file is taken from the folder and archived in the archive folder.
Until here everything works fine, but from here:
- I can't watch the message in the sxmb_moni
- I can watch the message in the message monitoring in the Runtime Workbench. Here I can even see the XML well formed(the text file have been processed correctly)
The error log:
Message Data
Attribute Value
Engine Adapter Engine
{Status System Error
Repeatable Yes
Cancelable Yes
Error Category XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_XI_HANDLER
Error Code GENERAL_ERROR
Does anybody know where will be the error?
Regards
Gonzalo
