File.applicationDirectory.resolvePath fails to return the correct path in iOS
I have click.mp3 file in "assets/sounds/" directory.
When I try to load a sound like below, both works fine when testing on my PC but when deployed on iOS(my iPad2), #1 works but #2 will result in no sound. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm using Adobe FlashCS6 + Air3.4.

"File Dialog" Express VI returns the wrong path when the user selects the desktop
In labview 8.0.1 with Windows
XP, the File Dialog Express VI seems to return something other than the path
selected by the user when configured to browse for folders (or files and
folders) and the user selects the desktop.
I can't determine exactly when it works and when it fails, but it always seems
to fail if the user selects the desktop from the places bar (the shortcuts on
the left side of the dialog) or from the drop-down menu at the top of the
dialog and then clicks the "Current Folder" button to dismiss the
dialog. In this case it always returns whatever path is wired to the
"Start Path" terminal.
If the user navigates to the desktop with the "Up One Level" button
or by selecting the actual desktop directory under Documents and Settings, the
correct path is returned.
If the user selects a file before clicking the desktop icon, then clicks
"Current Folder" the correct path is returned.
If the user clicks the desktop icon, clicks open, then clicks "Current
Folder" the correct path is returned.
It's possible to work around this bug in most cases by setting the start path
to the desktop.
Has anyone seen this behavior before?
Can anybody verify this behavior by running the attached VI?
In the past, when I've reported issues like this I've received responses from
NI engineers that basically said "Thanks, but we already knew
that". Is there anywhere that users can search the list of known
bugs and avoid wasting time tracking down issues that are already understood by
NI?

File Dialog Test.vi 39 KBI'm on 8.2 and I can't get it to fail no matter how I select the desktop. I haven't tried it in 8.0, but I imagine that if this really is a bug, they did know about it and fixed it with 8.2. If this causes a real problem for you, I would suggest upgrading if you can.

TABLE(CAST()) function not returning the correct results in few scenarios.
I am using TABLE(CAST()) operation in PL/SQL and it is returning me no data.
Here is what I have done:

I am calling get_target_weights from my java code and passing p_in_template_target with 10140 records.
Scenario 1: If target_pct in the last record is 0, p_out_count returned from the procedure is 0.
Scenario 2: If target_pct in the last record is any other value(say 0.01), p_out_count returned from the procedure is 10140.
Please help me understand why the Table(Cast()) is not returning the correct results in Scenario 1. Also adding or deleting any record from the test data returns the correct results (i.e. if keep target_pct in the last record as 0 but add or delete any record).
Let me know how can I attach the test data I am using to help you debugging as I don’t see any Attach file button on Post Message screen on the forum.I am not able to reproduce this problem with a small data set. I can only reproduce with the data having 10140 records.
I am not sure if this is the memory issue as adding a new record also solves the problem.
This should not be the error because of wrong way of filling the records in java as for testing purpose I just saved the records which I am sending from java in a table. I updated the stored procedure as well to read the data from the table and then perform TABLE(CAST()) operation. I am still getting 0 as the output for scenario 1 mentioned in my last mail.

Ldapsearch does not return the correct result
We are using the Netscape Directory server 4.12. We try to use the Radiator Radius server to query the Directory server for authentication.
When we use the filter:
uid=itkychan
to query if the user is in the Directory, it returns the correct result.
However, we would like to query if the username is in a specified group, e.g. tss_ns_grp, in the Directory, we try to use the following command:

Could you please validate, that the database TST is located in driver H: ?
If the database is there, you find a directory with the name of your instance under the H: drive, inside this directory, you must find a NODE0000 directory and finally inside the NODE0000 directory there must be a SQL0000? directory, where ? is a number.
You get your instance name from the environment variable DB2INSTANCE or simply by the execution of:
db2 get instance
If there is no SQL0000? directory at all, this means the database is located somewhere else.
If there is SQL0000? directory in that drive, you can perform the following:
db2 CATALOG DB TST AS TST ON H:
And provide the error message, if any.

ITunes Music Folder will not play from external hardrive after setting the correct path
I've decided to try and create some more space for my music collection and decided to keep my entire iTunes library on a portable external hardrive. I researched how to do so online and was successful at first. I set the correct path from the advanced menu so that iTunes would recognize and save music to the folder on my HD. It worked fine last night, but today when I try and access it I get the, "could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" error message when I try and play a song anywhere in iTunes. I then tried to import the library from my external hardrive and then everything was duplicated. I some how reversed the duplication by using time machine and then redownloading iTunes, which is a riduculous story in itself, but thankfully, I am back at square one.
I have over 24,000 songs with a majority of them rated as well as playlists I do not want to lose. I don't understand why it will not play the songs. Can anyone help me?If you are going to have the library on an ext HD the transfer the entire iTunes folder. This way you capture all the files - not just the music.
Launch iTunes with the 'option' key down and follow the dialog - tell iTunes to open the iTunes library file on the ext HD and things should be ok.

Server.MapPath doesn't find automatically where a file is. It allows to get the physical path
corresponding to a virtual path (relative to the current request if you don't give an absolute path)

View or function to return the full path hierarchy of an organization
Hi,
The customer is asking to provide a report showing for each assignment of each employees the corresponding organization where it is assigned and the full path of the organization hierarchy.
The organization hierarchy is at most 6 level deep, so they want to produce the report with the columns:
root_organization | org_level1 | org_level2 | org_level3 | org_level4 | org_level5 | org_level6 | person_name | assignment_date
if the person is assigned in an organization lower than the 6th level, the remainin columns should be empty.
I see that the view HRFG_ORGANIZATION_HIERARCHIES returns only one step in the organizations hierarchy: Parent_organization_name, Child_organization_name.
Is there any view or function as well which returns the full path of an organization in the hierarchy? At least a function which returns the full path parents of the organization delimited by commas.

How can I load the selected XML File (Selected from a Listview) into the correct Textboxes?
Right, so I have a windowsform with lots of Textboxes, where the user can type in Information, and then hit "Save", once its saved it goes into a sortof XML Format

Now, on my Startup Form (The main form) there is a Listview that I gave the name Objectlist1. This list displays ANY file located in a specific folder on my computer. This is also where the Saved files appear.
The list also updates every 5th second so after you save it appears quickly.
Now, the Files are saved using the content or Value of the first Textbox:

So it appears in the folder and on the list with the value inserted in the first Textbox.

I want the Form where you could input all the values to show - which it does
And the information from the XML/File saved to appear where it once was typed or inserted.

And I think this will work to get the info in the right boxes;

Printing problems (PDF files-HP Color Laserjet 1518ni: return the printer?
Hi everyone, I recently switched platforms and became a Mac user and had to buy a new
printer because my old HP deskjet is not compatible with my computer. So, I bought an HP
Color Laser printer, supposedly Mac compatible, but every time I try to print a PDF file it only
prints the first page. And then stops printing. I spent hours with the HP customer service, reinstalled
the driver, changed configurations, but it still does the same thing. The customer service representative could not solve the problem. I was wondering if there is any one else who had a similar issue with printing? Is it Mac OS X 10.5.5 that causes the problem? I am about to return the laser printer; it would be so helpful if I got some feedback. If it is a printer issue, then, which printer would you folks recommend that is not too expensive but efficient (I use the printer a lot and need an efficient one) and a printing speed of around 12-20ppm that actually does work with the Mac?

It's definitely an Adobe problem. The only solution I ever saw was either to print from Preview or to use later versions of Adobe Reader 8 or any version of Reader 9. I asked Adobe support what the problem was. I never got a reply.
You should know that Preview (and any other application which reads PDFs using Apple's PDF engine) has a problem with displaying Times Roman Italic, and only Times Roman Italic when launched under OS X 10.5.5. All other fonts appear to work normally; at least I haven't found one which has a problem, including other Times Roman font faces, including Times Roman Bold Italic. Preview seems to print properly, but the on-screen display has problems. The same files display properly with apps which don't use Apple's PDF engine, and also with apps which use Apple's PDF engine under versions of the OS earlier than 10.5.5, going back to at least 9.2.1. Apple is aware of the problem.
There seems to be at least two problems with the main PDF engines for OS X, Apple's and Adobe's. -
ReadUTFBytes() not returning the correct characters
I am reading in a text file using FileReference() in a small AIR app i'm buliding. This text file contains translations for the site I'm working on, in a bunch of different languages. I correctly receive the byteArray in the data parameter of the FileReference object I created. I am using readUTFBytes() to convert the entire data block to a String so I can parse through it and create an XML for all the different phrases and such. I am finding that most characters are read correctly into the String except for example Ž (utf-8 code 142). I trace the index value in the byteArray and correctly get the binary value 10001110 (142). If I try and readUTFBytes() on this byte individually I get nothing in the character result.

I'm doing this so the desktop application I'm making (using AIR) can be used to load any local translation text file and parse it's contents.
The readMultiByte functionality in FileStream is no different than the multibyte support for a standard byteArray. You choose your length and then declare your character set.
I've tried the majority of relevant characrter sets as outlined on the Adobe page http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/charset-codes.html including "Windows-1252". Th eother "Windowa-xxxx" are for Turkish and Thai and such. These characters are all visible in the text file I'm reading from. -
Policy Trace not returning the Correct policy

Our issue here is that when we run a policy trace on any of our Active Directory users - it does not match the Correct policies and match the Global Access policy although the Trace return right Identity policy
However if i try access an any URL and monitor the activity from the cli OR Ftp Access log - i cann see that the user has in fact had certain policies applied to it.
i think there ara problem in policy trace to fatch the coorect policy form GUI
