File batching - publish in batch of 50
hi
My input file contains 500 records, we can use file batching to publish records in order of one. one record will be transformed at a time and inserted in to the database. if i want to publish records in order of 50, whether while loop is the only way to control the transform activity one at a time. this while loop is decreasing the performance. is it possible to handle this in the XSD schema file. I am using fixed length file as my input. please advice.

In xsl you may use a for-each to assign the same mappings for each element in the collection to the elements in the database collection.

Playing MP4 files in published Captivate 6.01
Help!! I have added an MP4 file (7MB) to a slide using Captivate 6 and it plays fine in preview mode but not when I publish the project. I checked to make sure that I have all of the updates for Captivate installed. I am not using a media server as this is a proof of concept for a potential client and I want to just hand them the zipped file to run. There seems to be a lot of issues around this topic. But, I can't seem to see a resolution to this issue.
Please remove the mp4 and re insert it.
Go to Edit > Preferences > Project > SWF Size and Quality, uncheck Advanced Project Compression and Compress SWF File.
Publish the project and select Flash Player version 10.
Extract the zip output, paste that mp4 in the folder (if not present in the folder) and then re compress it again.

I'm in the process of publishing my iBook to the iBookstore however when I try to choose the the file to publish I can view it but the file is faded out not allowing me to select it?
Did you use the Publish menu to export an .ibooks fle?
Check to see if you are trying to mistakenly select an .iba file. -
Subcribers not sending CDR files to Publisher in the cluster.

We have call manager cluster 8.6 version and there are 5 nodes in the cluster.
I could see CDR files generated in the subscriber nodes but it is not uploaded publisher node CDR repository .
I am not seeing any CDR files in Publisher preserve folder.

Description
Symptom:
Cluster Manager will update ccmservice user SSH security keys whenever a new node is added or removed from the cluster
Conditions:
CDR Agent cannot send CDR files from sub to pub using sftp.
This is because SFTP is initiating a connection using the user 'ccmservice'
Workaround:
i) Stop CDR Agent service on Call Processing Node
ii) Gain root access via remote access support account. And then
Copy over the authorized keys in the specific user's SSH directory:
/home/sftpuser/.ssh/authorized_keys file to
/home/ccmservice/.ssh/authorized_keys
Root CLI command:
cp /home/sftpuser/.ssh/authorized_keys /home/ccmservice/.ssh/authorized_keys
iii) Start CDR Agent service on Call Processing Node.
Further Problem Description:
This was caused by changes that were made to tighten up file permissions around the CUCM file structure -
Do I not get the "open file after publishing" checkbox with the trial version?
I owned the Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional version on my pc, and recently bought a Mac. Do I not have the option to "Open file after publishing" checkbox with the trial version? Do I have to repurchase the whole program to get that?

Why is rename files at publish still not working properly?
LR5.5 renames only a few of all files when publishing to hard drive and in a strange way...
26 files, LR renames 9 of them...

How to ignore diagnostic files when publishing cloud service

when i am publishing a webRole,
process is failed because the values in the diagnostic configuration file do not match the Production profile.
the diagnostic file is for our dev env only.
is there a flag/attribute that can be used to ignore the diagnostic files when publishing with a specific profile ?

Replace one file in Published package
Hi,
I need to replace one file in published Appv Package.
Please suggest the most appropriate way/s to accomplish that without disturbing users.
Do I have to edit the package in sequencer and then update it in AppvMan?
Or simpler way...?
Please provide step by step. Don't have time to test and fine the right way.

The next time their App-V client syncs it should publish the new package and become available to them.
You get the "Copy access and configuration settings" option when you're adding the upgraded package to the Management Console because it will detect a package with the same package ID on the server.
You're correct to conclude that the new version of the package won't be available (if you don't check that option when adding the new version) until you edit AD access in the package settings (also on the Management console) and add the AD group containing
all the users you don't want to disturb.
I certainly wouldn't use the word "independent" for the new package as it will supersede the existing package. If you wanted the option of having both versions available simultaneously, you could do a "Save a new package" in the Sequencer
once you've made your file changes which would give you a new Package ID.
Hope that all makes sense. It's easier when you can see the consoles and options yourself. -

I have a requirement in OSB project where I need to merge files before sending it to target application.
For some reason we prefer not to maintain either queue/directory/file server to save incoming files.
Target application will poll the final merged file from the queue which is placed at the end of the process where we store all the files for Target system.
Can some one please suggest me the best and clean way to deal with this situation?

Using that BPEL Endpoint URI WSDL, i created a business service and that business service is used in publish to insert the data in the database "main" table
and used a Database adapter JCA to create a business service and using publish i need to insert id,message in "reporting" table and i need to update"reporting" table last column using BPEL the last column is "update message"
I completed till inserting the id,message in "reporting" table using OSB and stuck up how to update the same "reporting' table column from SOA(not from OSB)

File batching in SOA 11g for records which has parent-child relation

We have a requirement to read a huge file and process to DB. We use AIA and Syncread operation to read the file.
Huge file with more than 40K lines are getting Transaction timeout and current transactiontimeout was set to 5 min in Server.
I would like to know the option to batch / chunk the records without increasing the transaction timeout setting in Server.
Input File is a fixed length file has a Header and Trailor. SubHeader lines do not have any count like how many lines are associated with it. Only option to relate DetailLine with its subheader is some Reference number.
Schema used is native schema builder and the file has structure like below.

Add a Cue marker to 500 files (batch)

PS : I use both Audition and Soundforge. Do you know if there is an official forum for SoundForge where lots of users are ? (similar to this forum here!). I tried with SoundForge, but impossible : The BATCH PROCESSING option doesn't propose Marker edition. Does it exist with Audition ?I haven't tried this, but if it's possible at all it will be by creating a favourite that adds a marker to a file, and nothing else, and using this favourite as part of the batch process.
But like I said - I have no idea whether this will work or not. What I do know though is that it's the only option you've got within Audition.for doing anything like this. Cuelisttool, the other option I wondered about, won't do this as it stands either - but you could try emailing its creator and asking him whether he could add it as a feature, as it sounds potentially useful. -
I am renaming a lot of files using Bridge Batch Rename and get errors on some of the files. I have a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit computer running Photoshop CS6. Bridge version is 5.0.1.23 x64. I am renaming files using this format - YYYYMMDD-HHMM-XXX-D700, where XXX is a sequence number. I select an entire folder of images, set the sequence number to 1 and click "Rename". Most work correctly, but in a few cases I will get several images where the Date and Time number are incorrect. I know the YYYY is incorrect, but have not looked in enough detail on the other numbers. I may get 2010 instead of 2007. If I select these again and Rename I get the correct name.
These are NEF files with sidecar files.
I will pay more attention to the errors and supply more detail - I have a lot more to rename.
Anyone else experience these type errors?A card reader was used to copy the NEF file to a folder on the computer. They were initially renamed using the Batch command in Bridge of Photoshop CS5 using the format YYYYMMDD-XXX-D700, where XXX is a sequence number. Files were in date order when renamed. I did not experience any problems with these renames, I only renamed the NEF files. I also copied the jpg files from the camera, but did not rename them. I processed the NEF files using Adobe Camera RAW and generated jpg files.
I decided to modify the name to allow mixing images from multiple cameras and have them sort in the correct order by date and time shot. I selected the renamed NEF files in Bridge (Photoshop CS6 now), modified the name to YYYYMMDD-HHMM-XXX-D700 and clicked the rename button. The sequence number was assigned based on the file order, but the YYYYMMDD and HHMM values were incorrect on a few files. The incorrect file names were all the same for the YYYYMMDD and HHMM values, sequence numbers were correct, incorrect named files were in sequence order (a group of adjacent files). The correct YYYYMMDD was 20080630, but the incorrect value was 20100222 and incorrect HHMM was 2042. The incorrect named files appeared at the end of the list since the date was 2010 instead of 2008, but they had the correct sequence number. I selected the group of incorrect named files, set the sequence number to the correct value for the first file, clicked rename and they were named correctly. The number of incorrect named files varies - 5 of 64, 3 of 77, 6 of 59, 12 of 88, 1 of 434. All of these files have sidecar files since they were processed using Adobe Camera RAW and these files are in the same folder. The sidecar files are named the same as the NEF file.
I also renamed the JPG files that were generated from Adobe Camera RAW and did not experience any problems with names in these files to date.
I also tried using Photoshop CS5 Bridge to rename the a group of NEF files and get the same problem. -
Photoshop CS2 & CS3 will not open my NEF raw files {Nikon D300}. Both versions have always opened my raw files. Also, CS3 locks up when I batch resize jpgs.
Out of curiosity, are the images remaining open in Photoshop as the batch is processing them, or are they closing one by one?
If the former, you may just be overwhelming Photoshop CS3's abilities to maintain many open documents. You might be able to correct that by adding a document close operation in the action you're batching.
Another thought is this: Recent versions come with a script called Image Processor, which sounds like it can do what you want. What I don't remember is whether Photoshop CS3 had Image Processor.
If this kind of work is common for you, and especially if you're seeing things break when trying to process a lot of data, you should consider upgrading your computer, your operating system, and your Photoshop to modern 64 bit standards. All these things have made great strides in power and reliability in the last decade since 32 bit computers with only a few gigabytes of RAM and Photoshop CS3 were current.
Another possibility, if you're not wanting to go down that road right away, might be to use another tool to do your resizing. As one example, the free program IrfanView (for PC) can easily be set up to extract raw file preview JPEGs and to do batch resizing and format conversions.

Hi all, a friend of mine is a photojournalist and is having an emergency. He's telling me that the XMP files for all the RAWs he edited of a particular story have somehow been batch reset, so his edits are gone and he has no idea how this could have happened. Is there any way this is possible? Please help!
Did he copy the images from one drive to another? Depending on the preferences set in Camera Raw: to save xm edits in the ACR database or in sidecar files, the chance of loosing edits exist if you have the prefs set to save in the ACR database and then move tose to a new computer.
Ih he had the prefs set to the ACR database, he should be able to open ACR and change the the prefs to save in an external .xmp file. The key will be to select all the images and make some really, really minor change in ACR (like a +1 Hue or Sat adjustment then click done in ACR. That should force the writting of all the settings to a new .xmp file. He could even go back and change the setting back and re-click done to undo the temp change.
After that, as long as the raw files and .xmp files are both copied to a new drive/computer then he settings should be retained. -

Ok, my problem....I have been deconstructing films, so I have thousands of picture files for batch processing in Photoshop (Resizing etc) What I would like to do is batch merge two or maybe three lots of deconstructed film footage image files from different sources, one as a background film image file and one as the forground film image file layer, thousands of images all at once, after they have been processed first in photoshop, so I have seperate folders with the image files in each folder, they need to be combined in sequence as I want the image/frame numbers to match up in each folder, then combined to non merged layers and saved into another folder, I want non merged layers, so I can use an action later to balance the overlay. I know premiere and After Effects could maybe do this, but I am looking for a different kind of effect.....thanks

Can't view most folders in icon view, it just crashes.
